Review 1：Sparse room. Just beds & a armoire. Door on armoire had 2 of 3 hinges broken,no drapes,exTeri or window shutter had to be closed from OUTSIDE the room.. I could scrape the dust off the phone dial. Just terrible for over 200/nt. Desk clerk took 25 off bill for the problems. He said they were aware of some of the problems. I think their plan is renting to one nighters. They don't need to follow up. Very disappointing.

Review 4：The staff were very friendly and often asked if we needed anything. We did not require room service daily and I think they are not used to people saying that. We were there six days. The staff especially the reception desk were great. Some of the other guests were rude but the staff just rose above it. Ideal location, close to everything. The bed and linens were new and comfy. The balcony was a treat, with a great view of the marina.

Review 5：Continental breakfast was poor. All from frozen commercial muffins and pastry. Nothing that was not laden with sugar.

Review 21：The Marina del Mar has seen better days. Our room had a storm shutter that was broken in the closed position, very poor wifi reception, and the unacceptable part was the walls and doors were scuffed a dirty below knee level. When you add the small room, with a double bed too short for a 6 foot man, it is very poor value. Stay somewhere else.

Review 22：The room and bathroom was a bit tired. There was a bug in the bed that gave me a nasty bite. It looked like a bed-bug.

Review 34：It is in a beautiful location. Able to see the marina and all the activities. Has a great restaurant next door, Skippers. I saw some of the reviews and they were not good but I thought we should try for ourselves and we are glad we did. It was just perfect for over night.

Review 35：We were on the 3 day NASCAR weekend for races so checked inl late at Holiday Inn. Very easy to get to room. We checked out late Sunday but still kept room in case we had to come back if race went off Monday. They got our plan

Review 36：No-one on Reception after 10pm - we had to check in at the Holiday Inn next door (same ownership). Flimsy wardrobes, tatty paintwork, couldn't open one shutter and the other was breaking. One staircase had a piece of wood holding the ceiling up but as it was at head height we always had to duck. The breakfast was poor - no fresh fruit or yogurts and only instant porridge for gluten intolerant mortals.

Added bonus was watching the "African Queen" sail among the waterways on its daily excursion. Accross the road were the spectacular sunsets to end the day. Just a short drive to the state park and great snorkelling. We will be back !!

Review 44：Mirror closets not functional, because doors and tracks were quite old. One set of window louvers handle broken. At night had to go outside and push closed for privacy.

Review 59：Room was disappointing. Broken fixtures in bath, broken door on closet, Murphy bed frame extended out, tripped and injured my foot on frame,dining chairs were sticky. My memory of this place was great, so sad to see what it became.

Last night the one maid came with an attitude, do NOT clean the bathroom, just changed towels, did not clean the floors, came and went in less then 10 minutes. Everyone else was great, helpful and pleasant. Not up to my expectations and memories of past trips. Also pool had cracked and missing tiles and outdoor cover was torn and tattered. What happened???

The hotels fills up with folks they invite non hotel friends to enjoy the pool.The hotel does not control the parking so guest end up parking down the block. The party goes on to midnight,or at least it was still going when I double parked my wife's car behind mine and parked my boat trailer down the block and hoped it would be there in the morning. The office closes so no one cares.

Review 66：The room was clean, nice. The hotel was between 2 great restaurants, Sharky's and Skippers. Good food at both. The beds were soft and clean. AC worked great. The room was fair priced.

First with out a baby, and came back when my son was 5 months and now 17 months and staff are always very friendly and willing to accommodate in anyway. ease of access with a stroller is a must and elevators and full kitchen are always wonderful. I love this place and I plan on coming back every year. One new restaurant by the pool, another bar/pub only a short walk away.

Review 78：Even though the hotel had a little age on it, the charm and cleanliness still shone through. Spotlessly neat, very effective AC, and tastefully decorated. The desk staff was available and friendly. We really enjoyed the view of the marina, too!

Review 122：Parking sucks.... There is a restaurant right next to the pool. You'll share parking with them. One night had to walk almost two blocks just to get to the room. Plus people from the restaurant come into the pool area or watch everyone in the area.

It was a short work to the watersports, snorkelling, fishing, jet skis etc. Close promixty to restaurants and bars on either side of property which were both fantastic. Sharkeys had a very local feel and great live music. Not sure what they were called but two guys outstanding.

Review 138：The two ladies at reception were rude and bossy - one barked 'name' when i arrived - no hello, no please, no smile or warmth - more like a official at an overworked public office. I replied with hello only and waited till she replied with "can i pls have your name' . She then barked "credit card" - i coldly said "what about it". She warmed up a bit after realising i was not going to tolerate her rudeness. Complete contrast to the very friendly 25ish man.
