Review 1：Breakfast was pretty skimpy, no eggs.

Review 2：The whole motel was on par with much more expensive motels. All carpet, walls, furnishing were excellent. The person at the front desk was extra nice.

Review 3：Let me first start by saying this is NOT a bad hotel. We just had a bad experience that could easily have been avoided. This is why it gets 4 stars. When we arrived at 11 pm after driving 8 hours, we parked near the lobby. We entered the vestibule, but were surprised to find the lobby door was locked. We rang for the desk clerk and he appeared shortly. He asked for my license and payment through the bullet proof teller-style window, and I happily obliged. He took my information and walked over to the computer, leaving us locked in the very small, very cold vestibule. We stayed there for at least 5 minutes while he slowly checked us in. I'm not sure why we weren't allowed in the hotel after he confirmed we were guests, and after I handed him my identification and a credit card, but it's over now. He finally came back and told us our room (#212) was on the opposite side of the parking lot. He suggested we put our things back into the car, drive over, and enter through the side door. He still wouldn't let us into the hotel!!! We left and decided to walk around the building. I booked their 2 queen bed suite for the 4 of us (two married couples), thinking it would be nice to have a little room to spread out. Again, the room was very nice, but it was not a suite. It was a standard room that happened to have a sofa in the middle of it. (See my photos for details.) The bed was very nice, the bathroom was fine, the wifi was great, and it was well worth the price. It just wasn't a suite, and not being allowed into the hotel to check in was odd. Other than that, the place was great for the price. It seems to be in an iffy neighborhood, so keep that in mind, but it was great for a quick stop on a long trip.

The bed was too firm and very high in the air.Some of their plug ins did not work, nor the phone in the room to call out or to the front desk. They have a certain amount of breakfast they put out.Sometimes the cups full of batter just sat out, not fresh. Juice dispenser was dirty and made the product taste differently. They tell you not to book online and book with them so they do not have to pay the commission to online trip advisors and it would be lil cheaper for you (4.00). They do not tell you it is cheaper to book a week at a time. Housekeeper that come only redo towels,change out trash vacuum if u ask. They do not change bed nor clean off desk extremely rude. Customer service was not the best other than the two people.Not much for hot water more like semi warm.

Review 10：The front desk clerk was very nice. Shared lots of helpful hints about parking and breakfast. Our room was the biggest room I've ever stayed in! It had two queen beds with FANTASTIC mattresses and also a hide a bed. I was traveling with three teen aged boys, and the room was spacious enough where no one got in anyone's way. Breakfast was decent. VERY GOOD VALUE.

Review 11：Shower did not work well, water barely came out. One night out of three was hammering and power tools going on until 11:00 p.m.

Review 27：For the 3 days we were there the stairs to the second floor were not cleaned (food crumbs on floor were there every day). While there was a breakfast with Waffles, the stocking of the breakfast items was a little "sparse" (I had to ask for bagels, cream cheese and coffee as there were none). Also, no coffee maker in the room :-(.

Review 28：Room was larger than expected with a fridge and microwave. Had a couch to watch TV from (didn't have to sit on bed!), and Bed was a pull-out (although we didn't use). Room was clean and sufficient for our use. WiFi was better than the other hotels (even the "premium" competition) we stayed at during this trip!

Review 29：During a particularly bad thunderstorm the wind was blowing directly on the wall with the AC unit. Water started pouring in the room through the wall. Have to say I've never seen that before.

Review 33：The room's furniture did not quite fit. A lamp that was supposedto be to the side of headboard actually was above a pillow so that wehad to move a nightstand & the bed to sleep. The carpet paddingwas non existent so that every irregular bump in the floor was atripping hazard. The soap was tacky to the touch & we had to useshampoo to wash it off our hands then buy soap. Our king size bed wasa full size bed.

Review 67：I stay at the Horizon Inn every time I pass through Lincoln. Not only is it a great place to stay, it is the most reasonably priced hotel in the Lincoln area. The staff go out of their way to accomadate you.

Review 68：We had reserved 3 rooms but the hotel had only 2 rooms for us.They happened to have one final room with only one bed in it (we needed two). Even though it was a nonsmoking facility, the hallways and at least one of our rooms smelled of smoke.

Review 69：They were remodeling (I think they said they were getting new tiles) so the Ice machine was down and there was a bit of construction going on but nothing that impacted our rooms! Just the lobby and you won't be spending much more than 3 min in there anyways.

Review 70：The location was right off the road so that was perfect for our quick over night stay on our way to Colorado. The beds were very comfy and the flat screen tv was very nice but most important is the service. These guys are so kind and caring and want to make sure their guests are happy, comfortable, and taken care of. Unfortunately I hurt my finger and it was bleeding pretty badly. The guy at the front desk was there to help me clean the wound and wrap it in gauze before we left for our 7 hour car ride. He was so sweet and I would recommend this place for anyone that's looking for an affordable and comfortable quick stop!

Review 78：We found the property very comfortable and welcoming. The TV was good with chairs to sit in, besides the bed, a welcome. plus. Refrigerator was not frozen up, nice. Pillow top bed was very comfortable.

Review 79：While the owner is obviously trying to update the motel, it still needs work, including new carpeting in the rooms, replacement of stained chairs, and new wall treatment (the wallpaper was starting to come loose at the seams) and perhaps a different linen service (some of the towels were grey or smudged). Breakfast could stand to have a non-sugared cold cereal option.

Review 80：The manager was a wonderfully gracious host. He made sure to explain how they have updated the hotel recently (new mattresses, new carpet in the hallway, waffles for breakfast). When I had trouble sleeping due to noisy pipes, he investigated, called me that day on my cell, and offered to change my room. (Neighbors upstairs using the bathroom until 2AM was the issue). I also appreciated the fridge, the large flat screen TV, and the fact that (on weeknights at least) the hotel was quiet. Despite being located on a train track, only one train went by in the four nights I stayed.

Review 102：Everything. The location was right next to a sleezy convenience store which worried me about the hotel's clientele. The beds, although new, were uncomfortable and the pillows very tiny and flat and hard. The continental breakfast was "ok" but heaven forbid you take anything back to your room! The continental bkfast police will stop you. The room was dirty and towels were dingy. Couldn't wait to get out of there.

Review 119：It was very noisy I was in the last king room by the back entrance. People were running up and down the stairs and in the upstairs hallway. It was very noisy. Went for coffee twice and it was gone he was making more. By the third time I finally got a fresh cup right before I left.

We stayed on a zero-degree night, though, and our room was comfortable given our pajamas and room heater. Towels are thin, but clean, and not an issue at this room price!

We had a spacious suite with 2 queen beds and a loveseat, bathtub with shower. Everything was well cleaned. Good water pressure. Our room heater worked great and was not too loud. Breakfast was basic and good.
