Reviews for Best Western Durango Inn & Suites

Review 1:The bathrooms are small and almost NO WATER PRESSURE, which is annoying!

Review 2:The beds were comfortable and the breakfast bar was so good and open until 9:30 a.m. which was great!

Review 3:Advice by manager re Red Mountain Pass closing was not accurate. Nearly cancelled plans to drive to Ouray because of his comments and suggestion to drive back to Dolores and follow the San Juan highway to Ouray. We called hotel in Ouray who stated 550 was quite navigable and we found it was.

Review 4:Location.

Review 5:Not too impressed with the "suite" we got upgraded to since they said they ran out of the room we reserved.

Review 6:The location was great, near a Walmart for when we forgot some things. There was a beautiful view at the breakfast porch, and very helpful staff

Review 7:I was there from Friday evening to Tuesday morning and they served the same breakfast every morning. It would of been nice to have had different kinds of eggs and sausage as the hot food. I did love that they have waffle griddles and other choices. Over all, it was good.

Review 8:Easy to get to but it was right off the busy road. However, I did not hear the road noise in my room. The cleaning staff were very pleasabt as well as the desk staff.

Review 9:room small- pillows too soft- dressing area small, second queen bed "lumpy"

Review 10:breakfast ok for not great. front desk helpful when left item in breakfast room.

Review 11:Just wish the mattress was firmer!

Review 12:Easy access to downtown and bicycling trails made this a great HQ for cycling getaway. The swimming pool's temp was absolutely perfect - a refreshing wind down after a day of riding.

Review 13:This staff will do all they can to ensure there is a zero in this area.

Review 14:Staff who will do all they can to help, the rooms were clean and breakfast very good. Nice garden for relaxing in, ample car parking, plus a bus stop outside hotel and once again a great staff!!!!

Review 15:Payed for a king sweet, I think it used to be a motel 6 and youremolded it by removing the wall between the front and back room andmade a bed room in one end and called it a sweet lol what a jokecalling that room a Sweet.

Review 16:Nothing well breakfast was ok , there was two 40 inch tv in the room butonly had a 24 Inch picture that could not be changed . I think I wayover payed for this room. .Have I stayed in Best Western several time inthe past, This was defiantly the worst for the money. Glad I did not usemy points for it.

Review 17:The air handling unit was located in the bathroom and thus the blower had a difficult time pushing cool air into the remainder of the room. (It was 98 degrees the day we arrived which is unusual for Durango.) The counter space in the bathroom surrounding the single sink was very small.

Review 18:Although the property is located adjacent to busy US Highway 160, the room was quiet. The bed was comfortable. The wi-fi in the room worked very well.

Review 19:I was told the pool would be open for our stay. I would have stayed at the Best Western downtown if I had known. Theirs was open.

Review 20:Beds were comfortable. Chavalo's restaurant attached to the property was great.

Review 21:Room was very small. Had recently stayed elsewhere in Durango and the room was much larger but the price the same. The price needs to be adjusted down due to size.

Review 22:Staff was really great; listened to concerns and took care of them quickly. Loved the location for our dog.

Review 23:The suite for the priced the complimentary cookies when you arrive and the friendly staff!!! The lobby going the construction but the room was awesome and everything was in good working condition I was going to book at the double tree but this was a million times just as good 79.99 to 149.00 plus tax with good comfort I'll take that anyday!

Review 24:Although still a relatively quiet place, the hotel is on a busy highway, so the noise wasn't always muffled.

Review 25:The room was comfortable, and we got a good night's sleep.

Review 26:The bathroom area really smelled like someone peed on the floor, had to keep the window open. Seemed old and outdated, not the nicest place to stay in Durango.

Review 27:The Mexican restaurant attached was great, highly recommended...location was good.

Review 28:Sink faucets need neck extension as water discharged extremely close to sink, no room for proper hand wash or tooth brush rinceing.

Review 29:Great access to down town and surrounding area.

Review 30:When turning on the air it smelled a little stale.

Review 31:When first checking in, I immediately felt safe and at ease as I was traveling alone. The maid I had the first morning couldn't have been nicer. The pool was a perfect temperature and I truly enjoyed having a frig and microwave.

Review 32:Air conditioner located on furthest wall from sleeping area - room never cooled off. Breakfast selections were not up to other Best Western properties.

Review 33:friendly knowledgeable staff, excellent views, easy access to downtown Durango

Review 34:Rooms are very small, especially the bathroom. There was no microwave anywhere.

Review 35:Staff was extremely friendly and are very pet friendly.

Review 36:LET US USE THE BREAKFAST ROOM FOR OUR GRADUATION PARTY. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY.

Review 37:Everything worked fine in room! Complimentary wine at check in is a nice touch

Review 38:You should mention that cell coverage is sketchy because of your location.

Review 39:Awesome and friendly staff.

Review 40:green space

Review 41:The rooms were good sized and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 42:It wasn't 0.2 miles from downtown. It was 3 miles. Unlike the website said.

Review 43:Not much

Review 44:No lift for two storey hotel

Review 45:Staff was pleasant at 11:45pm when I checked in; was only there till 4:40 the following morning.

Review 46:Towels were way to THIN

Review 47:Very clean property

Review 48:very nice patio area at rear of hotel, away from busy road. complementary wine after 4pm

Review 49:The carpet near the bathroom smelled like urine

Review 50:Front desk people were nice.

Review 51:Overall everything was great! They were a little understaffed considering how busy they were.

Review 52:Good place, comfortable room

Review 53:Location is awesome.

Review 54:well kept property

Review 55:There were ashes and old chewed gum in the coffee maker

Review 56:Air conditioner in back of room ~ took longer to cool the room!

Review 57:When booked I asked for ground floor room; thru Booking.com. Booking accepted, but no room on ground floor when we arrived..

Review 58:Breakfast

Review 59:Schönes Hotel, gemütliche Lobby, sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück, große und saubere Zimmer

Review 60:Nothing we didn't like

Review 61:Hot tub out doors is amazing, Newly remodeled lobby very nice, Staff are very friendly and accomodating

Review 62:Room was cramped as was the bathroom.

Review 63:Room was clean, bed comfortable

Review 64:Was nothing to not like

Review 65:Loved the newly remodeld office and lounge. Rooms very comfy and outdoor hot tub amazing

Review 66:It was clean and the staff was very helpful. Nothing special, just a regular best western. Breakfast was good too

Review 67:Internet was not very reliable.

Review 68:The desk clerks were excellent, very helpful and caring

Review 69:traffic noise from semi's in parking lot and adjacent hwy.

Review 70:pet friendly motel

Review 71:No real complaints. A little pricey, but tourist town.

Review 72:Staff helpful, good breakfast buffet, room clean, quiet.

Review 73:Provided motorcycle wash racks Great idea

Review 74:Can hear the noise from the street in the rooms facing the street. The furnishings are a little tired - the rooms need to be updated. For the same price, you can get nicer hotels.

Review 75:Staff was friendly and willing to answer any questions and ensure your stay was comfortable. Location is good if you plan on driving to eat, etc. You could walk into town but it would be a long walk. Complimentary breakfast was the basic breakfast - nothing exceptional - but it was fine for something quick before you go out for the day.

Review 76:The rooms are dated and dreary and somewhat dirty. There was some type of metal extension sticking out from the bed frame that my husband kept hitting that could have been very dangerous. The maid knocked on our door for cleaning around 8:30 am on Saturday--too early in my book!

Review 77:The location near Historic Downtown Durango was a plus. The staff was friendly, and you had a great breakfast buffet.

Review 78:The room was cramped and had a pet yard behind it. The airconditioner air intake was in the pet yard and the worst pet odour you could imagine filled our room. It was most unpleasand and, I'm sure, unhygenic. I complained but most rooms at our end had the same problem.

Review 79:I did not like this hotel at all. It was enough to put me off the Best Western chain altogether

Review 80:The room was very hot and the airconditioner was in the sink area/closet. They were adjusted the way they wanted them. It would only throw cold air out and little at a time and you could not adjust them. We did not sleep beacuse it was too hot in room!!!

Review 81:I booked this reservation on line. Made sure it was pet friendly. I did not see any discounts offered at the booking on line. i.e. AAA ratings or senior rates. Upon arrival my wife requested any discounts we would have been entitled to and was flatly refused. She was told because I had booked it on line we had to pay their full amount plus the pet charges and additional taxes. We left our pet in the room so we could go out and have supper. Upon our return our room entry card had been deactivated and told to go to the office. Then we were told that our little dog had been barking and disturbed other patrons. Apparently the hotel was not designed to accommodate pets and patrons. My wife had to sign a pet rules form before getting room access. After being treated unprofessionally and with no willingness to adjust our billing we would not patronize this hotel again. We stayed in many motels and hotels with our pet in the past with identical routines and never had this type of treatment.

Review 82:ground level room

Review 83:Slow water drainage in sewer from sink and the shower room light switchnot working over shower sink. Easy fix, flourescent light bulb is out.

Review 84:Linda is the best western hospitality example, friendly and historyknowledgeable. It's been a long time since my late arrival wasgreeted with cookies and water. God bless the late night staff on4/17. I will continue to stay with you, your suites, and the deer inthe backyard...

Review 85:Hot tub.

Review 86:Extremely poor wifi regardless of where you located in the hotel.

Review 87:Friendly stuff. Nothing else noting, as this is yet another chain hotel.

Review 88:toilet didn't flush but was fixed for us
