Reviews for Silver Legacy Reno Resort Casino

Review 1:no one at valet to check our car in. 30 min wait to get our car from valet. 1 hour wait to get on elevator from our floor! Neighbors in hotel room were very loud had to call security. Paper thin walls!

Review 2:Location

Review 3:Very, Very long line to check in. At least 30 min. waiting to get checked in. Got keys, long walk to room, keys didn't work. Back to starting point!

Review 4:Excellent food ( room service), the room was GREAT! Loved it!

Review 5:I found I liked their restaurants more than I liked the buffet.

Review 6:They were so willing to help. I needed a handicapped and without any effort one was made available.

Review 7:Did not like the coffee pot, no hot watee for shower in the morn. No dim lithgts in room.

Review 8:The food, location, bed, view, th rmostate adjustment, coffee cafe.

Review 9:Its downtown, and totally all enclusive with entertainment and resturants. We took the train from Martinez...only a block and 1/2 walk from Amtrak to the Silver Legacy.

Review 10:They're doing their best have nothing to complain about Reno had some rough times and now that they've purchased Circus Circus ic the future of downtown Reno being awesome

Review 11:If you're going to order room service you're going to be definitely pleasantly pleased their food is fantastic and the price is very fair and all their service people you're very polite

Review 12:Not the best restaurants, ones in the Eldorado were better. Although bed was pretty comfy, the Pillows were so small. About a third the size of a standard pillow. Also from where cab/Shuttle dropped us off you had to walk a bit of a ways to check in.

Review 13:Likes the location connected to Circus Circus and Eldorado. Didn't have to leave hotel which was great because neighborhood is kinda scary. Wouldn't want to walk around if didn't have to.

Review 14:The Hotel staff was friendly and quick to offer suggestions for our visit. The bed was very comfortable. We had a corner suite that had a wonderful view of the city and the snow covered mountains to the West.

Review 15:All the blankets and the pillows had a really strong smell off tobacco that really bother us and it was very disgusting. I don't know if we got a smoke room, or the blankets were mixed. But the attendant didn't ask us about the choice.... Beside that, everything was great.

Review 16:The friendly people, the great welcome with champagne, the nice room and the place.

Review 17:Property is very large and VERY loud. Room needed minor repairs, lacked decent pillows, room service food items were unavailable, didn't care for the selection of slot machines, didn't like restaurant seating being open to the promenade, buffet was very low quality!

Review 18:The location is convenient and the room rate was good.

Review 19:Check in , always takes too long, not enough staff on busy nights

Review 20:this is the most convenient hotel in reno, best facility for the price, right in the middle of all the fun

Review 21:Tub had hair in it, the toilet had stains, the sheets had holes in it and the electrically on the floor which is a fire hazard. The manager did not even offer to let me change rooms then told me that my excuses were not valid enough for a comp room! I have pictures to prove my stay there and the next morning I spoke to the morning manager who apologiesed. Still the second room I asked to move into had a light out and the shower went from really cold to extremly hot. The electric plate for the hairdryer was falling off the wall. I'm just blown away how they could getaway with the service and hotel.

Review 22:Sandy showed she cared.

Review 23:I wasn't so sure about just having a blanket and sheet laid over the mattress instead of an actual mattress cover.

Review 24:Was able to get a room at last minute and had the option to have either a lower or higher up floor.

Review 25:change the ratings icons or smiley faces to descriptive adjectives like excellent, very good, etc. to avoid confusion.

Review 26:scoring or rating entered incorrectly. staff ,facilities, clealiness, comfort and value for money superb and excellent.

Review 27:Conciere was not very accomodating. I asked her for a couple more coupon books for our grown children and she said, "No." I went up to guest services and the gentleman 'John' was very happy to give us two more. Seemed like she wasn't too nice.

Review 28:The fact that it joins two other casinos and the pool & hot tub along with the exercise room.

Review 29:Staff at reception gave us a 2 beds bedroom very ugly. The pictures did not match with the old hotel we found even though we booked the luxury king room.

Review 30:Silent and location

Review 31:We were looking forward to the River Walk but were very disappointed at all the trash and homeless at every turn. Was scary in the daytime. Stayed close to the hotel after that, especially at night. The whole Downtown area was dirty. Sooo sad.

Review 32:It was nice to come back to a place we stayed at many years ago. We did many things, including visiting Virginia City and the weather was great.

Review 33:Only negative...we just got off the rode, from a 2 hour drive. Not crazy long, but at 330pm, when we went to check in, our room should have been ready. We waited an hour to be placed in a room. Yes, it was a busy weekend, but that's why hotels should be prepared. Also, self parking was a bit of a nightmare.

Review 34:Kind and knowledgeable staff, room was very clean.

Review 35:I paid for premium WiFi only because the free connection was so poor and even the premium was awful. I had to go through the laborious log-in routine every time I moved to a different part of the hotel.

Review 36:Big hotel with a great view. Cheap. Efficient and friendly security guards.

Review 37:Had a couple across the hall who made a huge screen at 4am. Boyfriend had apparently kicked her out of the room. She was screaming and crying. My husband and another fellow came to her rescue. Not sure what happened after that. We did let security know about this the next morning. We were room 1572 they were directly across. It was Oct 3.

Review 38:We are not gamblers went to see Ron White. Long line for checkin however we were served champagne as we waited. Nice touch. We liked our room.

Review 39:Booked luxury king room, but on arrival gave my friend a room with 2 double beds:( they were very quick to accommodate and upgrade to another avail king room.. Thx!!

Review 40:Nice clean rooms with view (26th floor) staff were very accommodating, no hassles!! Would book here again!!

Review 41:the spa is seperated for men and women. So I couldn't go with my husbsand. and the outside pool is suitable for no more than 5 people while the hotel has hundreds of rooms so there aren't really good chances of using it. it wasn't mentioned anywhere. really disappointing

Review 42:great casino. good price

Review 43:Rooms were very dated, heater controls hard to adjust, Bathroom tub slow to drain, hallway light fixtures broken or damaged

Review 44:The Hotel & Casino is always fun to visit. the staff was very professional, we had 3 meals at the Hotel and all was good.

Review 45:Had a trailer which needed to be parked at an off site but staff insisted we off load motorcycles at hotel first then drop trailer and park tow vehicle in self parking and motorcycles on third floor in self parking before we even knew what room we were in.

Review 46:Location for the event Street Vibrations was perfect. Room Service was great. All restaurants were a 45-60 min wait but we got room service within 20 minutes.

Review 47:No refrigerator in room, had to request one brought in, TV remote didn't work well even after asking for replacement. Website said free use of health club but there was a charge for use each day.

Review 48:Very nice Health Spa Pool, Lobby and Casino beautiful. Large nicely designed room in luxury king.

Review 49:I booked thru Booking.com and they told me they sent you a confirmation email on either sept. 17 or 18. When I got to the front desk they said I did not have a reservation. The clerk said he would give me a room with a nice view of the pool, 422. All I saw was the parking lot. The pool was very small. I

Review 50:Central Café. I ate here before and once again I had a very nice meal and was able to use a coupon.

Review 51:The casino (noise and smoke there) were horrible in our opinion. You couldn't understand a word! We expected a more las-vegas-style room- room was only ok for a 4 star hotel.

Review 52:Really comfortable bed, clean room

Review 53:Honestly, the elevator area from the garage smells massively moldy (other guests commented on this too), which is sadly as this is the first impression a guest receives when parking for initial check-in. For me personally, it slightly jaded my initial "open-mindedness" towards my stay and room as I was immediately more critical towards the potential condition of the room, cleanliness, etc. Almost like the smell predisposed me to be more "particular" (if that word makes sense) than I would have been after my long flight.

Review 54:Quite expensive accommodations, food and entreatment. Better to dine outside facility.

Review 55:Great location downtown Reno. Clean well maintained, great amenities, outstanding architecture and design. A really nice place

Review 56:The wifi was hard to connect to. The bar drinks were a bit expensive.

Review 57:We really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. The room we had was great. The bed was super comfy.

Review 58:We checked into a room that wasn't properly cleaned (the previous guest left an unsavory parting gift). We were "upgraded" to the exact same type of room on a higher floor. The total value of the upgrade: $4. The second room was also dirty (hair all over the shower). The TV didn't work and the free wi-fi was intermittently working. At this point we received one free breakfast for their buffet.

Review 59:Check in was understaffed and took too long.. Room amenities are not what they used to be.. Mid week prices have gone up.. Housekeeping came at 8 am.. just as I was exiting the shower... so put the latch on the door or get caught in your birthday suit...

Review 60:Excellent location, room was comfortable, food was good.. Gym and spa are good..

Review 61:if you are staying at hotel, you should have designated free parking. Even if it was above the registration level. Price for room was above normal should not have to also pay for parking.

Review 62:Location was great.

Review 63:Check in process (line) took a while. But, once we were with someone it went well.

Review 64:Our TV did not work and we figured out the control box needed batteries. We called and within 30 mins. we had it working.

Review 65:did not like to check in twice. did not like to stand in a huge line on a Friday night to check in. no signs for valet parking. hard to find. not staffed well to service customers

Review 66:like the silver mine machine

Review 67:Long line upon check in, extra fees not disclosed until check out .parking always to hard to find a space to park especially if your driving a larger vehicle .

Review 68:Easy access to all my needs

Review 69:When I checked in my room was dirty it hadn't been vacuumed or the services wide town and there was broken TV equipment

Review 70:I complain to the hotel staff of the condition of my room and it was dealt with quickly

Review 71:The selection of restaurants were poor in quality and presentation. Off putting aroma noted in and around some of the restaurant areas.

Review 72:Room was clean with good views from 36th floor. Nice pool patio with gym close by. Convenient parking with good location to hotel lobby.

Review 73:Easy access to Hotel as soon as we got into town. Beautiful Lobby. Excellent service. Nice room, comfy bed - slept great! Saw a great show right there at the Hotel/Casino.

Review 74:I call the front desk about the Air Conditioner and no one came so the next day I went down to the front and still no one came to my room . I went and bought a fan..

Review 75:The staff was nice..

Review 76:Very disappointed in the pool. Looks nothing like the picture. Very small and not heated at all. The hot tub was not working either

Review 77:Bed was very comfortable and the Casino is nice.

Review 78:Booking.com. Had email verification for 2 nights stay and when we arrived silver legacy only had is down for 1 night stay and we had to go to registration desk the next day and recheck in

Review 79:The food at the Central cafe was not that good.Ordered steak and lobster and the lobster was tiny!

Review 80:Staff was great! The room was nice and clean. Good filteration system for the smoke in the air.We really enjoyed the two day stay.G

Review 81:Everything we needed was all in casino / hotel. We were able to get a later checkout time so we could enjoy a little more rest before our drive home.

Review 82:The man at the customer services desk was a little shot with us, when it turns out ,we were in the wrong line to check out.

Review 83:The car show that was going on at the time was the draw for us. The show was great!

Review 84:Nice pool close to car show casino sucked

Review 85:Wifi sucked front desk had a new girl who tryed to charge us for checking out 2 hours late, and want a half days room charge

Review 86:It was during Hot August Nights and it was hard to find a parking spot in the building and while we were parking, the facility was having someone towed from the parking lot. We had to wait 20 minutes in our car with several cars behind us until the tow truck was done.

Review 87:The atmosphere was very good.

Review 88:My only negative comment was that this was a working trip for me, and the pool and spa closed to early for me to use it. Reno is not like Las Vegas. In Reno they roll up the sidewalks at 10pm

Review 89:Great location, cheerful friendly staff, good value.

Review 90:Front desk was understaffed & did not have a good process in place. Help was polite, but their computer system must have been antiquated because there was a ridiculous almost perpetual backup.

Review 91:Convenient location. Food places were good & friendly staff. Room service was particularly good. I was disappointed that the hot tub/jacuzzi didn't work. Both the bed & the couch were too soft & worn.

Review 92:My only complaint was that the bed wasn't terribly comfortable, and the sheets didn't stay on well.

Review 93:I loved the overall theme of this hotel. The Victorian feel of the lobby, and the replica silver mine inside the hotel were really fun. The hotel was also very clean and the staff was very friendly.

Review 94:Only 2 free internet connections. Not a big deal, but it was a slight inconvenience.

Review 95:Staff were very nice during check in. The room was awesome and had a nice view.

Review 96:The buffet and cafeteria closed because we were there during the week that was a bit disappointing.

Review 97:The location, cleanliness, the size of the room and the bed.

Review 98:I was promised a non smoking room with a king bed but I didn't get the first night in which cost me the most.

Review 99:The food was pretty good in the places around the outside by the casino.

Review 100:It was the bathroom, the caulking around the tub was missing and coming off ,mold And most of all No bathroom fan! And there was trash and old food and dust bunnies behind the nightstand.

Review 101:It's a beautiful hotel, staff is very friendly and helpful. It was our 38th wedding Anniversary, and was giving a small bottle of champagne for out celebration that was a nice surprise. Thank You!

Review 102:Fire alarm at 5a. Luckily it was a false alarm but when I asked if we got a discount for the rude wake up...they just laughed it off.

Review 103:The buffet was excellent.

Review 104:didnt like the entire city of reno. dirty, very uninviting. i get to my hotel and all i see on the news is there was a shooting in the parking lot the night before. it wasnt the hotel it was the area

Review 105:The line to check in was huge. They should have had more people to check in arriving guests. This is the second time that I have stayed here and both times there have been very loud teenagers staying in rooms close to mine.

Review 106:The bed had torn sheets on, the water for the shower had no pressure, the vent in the bathroom was full of lint and dirt. I'm sorry to tell you this but I would not recommend you hotel Paul Richardson

Review 107:We had a hard time with wifi; it was slow and sometimes not working right.

Review 108:I liked the cleanliness and the beds were comfortable enough. The staff were pleasant all around.

Review 109:My reservation was cancelled because I did not check in by 8 pm. I made my reservation for a room with two queen beds because a co-worker and I were going to split the room. After informing me my reservation was cancelled, I was told there were no more rooms available because the hotel was fully booked. The front desk attendant left the desk to go speak with someone, I'm assuming a manager, to see about finding another room. She returned after about 15 minutes and informed me she would be able to get me into a room with one queen bed. I told her that was unacceptable but she told me there was nothing that could be done. She said the best she could do would be to send up a rollaway bed. I asked if that was as good as it was going to get after cancelling my reservation for no reason and putting me in the wrong room set up and she said it was. She informed me that because I made my reservation through a third party website, the hotel would not work with me to improve my stay. I went to my room and awaited the arrival of my rollaway bed, which never showed. So for the one night I was in Reno, I had to sleep on the floor on disgusting carpet because your hotel refused to help me receive the room I reserved after you cancelled my reservation without my request and without permission.

Review 110:The location of the hotel, that's about it.

Review 111:The fitted sheet didn't stay on the bed. There was no comforter. There's no small refrigerator. There was a long line to check in. Parking garage was overcrowded.

Review 112:It was cheap and, if you're into gambling, in a good location.

Review 113:The room smelled like smoke. Also was located near a very noisy room believed to be a laundry room or maintenance room. The temperature of the room was very hot and the a/c unit didn't work well..

Review 114:The staff and placement of room

Review 115:Check in and out staffs were very unprofessional, unfriendly, not helpful. Push all responsibilities to booking.com, managers wouldn't talk to us.even she was in the back room. Will never come back again!

Review 116:Hard to find the parking garage

Review 117:Liked it all Very nice hotel and casino Lots of choices in restaurants. REasonable prices.Nice room, clean and comfortable

Review 118:Television cord would not stay plugged in to the back of the tv, calledguest services at 8:00 8:45 and at 9:30 at 9:30 it was to cancel requestas we were going to sleep. Issue was never resolved

Review 119:Room was clean and comfortable

Review 120:We asked for a non smoking room, because it was a holiday they werent able to privide that. We stayed for 2 nights, on our second day we ended up finding insects on our bed! Very disgusting.

Review 121:The room wasn't clean. At all. We found a mans shoe next to the bed and there was long black hairs all over the shower and bathroom floor. Friends were staying on another floor and had a similar experience.

Review 122:It was very hot outside and when we checked into our room we turned on the cooler and expected the room to cool down as it was very warm. Went to dinner and got back to the room at about 10:00 and the room was still like an oven. We didn't ask for another room at that point...and we left early the next morning. We had the air conditioning turned up as high as it would go. We literally felt nauseated it was so hot in the room and we couldn't sleep. It was a relief to get back out to our car air conditioning. Very disappointing stay.

Review 123:Room was great with big bed, jacuzzi, TV, nice big bathroom with big shower. The desk clerk gave us a room with a wonderful view because there were storms coming in and we could see them and had a view of Mt. Rose.

Review 124:Staff who checked me in was not friendly. She did not greet us or offer us anything. When i asked if i can upgrade my room with my $5 offered, she responded no fast to me n not bother to check. Not Coming to this hotel again.

Review 125:Brandon who hold pur bags after we checked out while ate breakfast n gamble some was a nice young gentleman. Smile, energetic n happy.

Review 126:The pool area didn't have any bar service and it became awkward going back and forth to the gift shop for adult beverages

Review 127:Great restaurants on property plus the accessibility of both Circus Circus (for my 8-year old's entertainment) and El Dorado. Fantastic shuttle access to the Livestock Events Center during Rodeo week

Review 128:The power and water went out. We weren't able to get to our rooms for about 5 hours, we had 2 wheelchairs in our party and when the power came back on wheelchairs and people in need of medication were not given priority to get back to their rooms.

Review 129:All employees were very friendly and helpful. Especially Doc Holiday :)

Review 130:We came with a group of friends for a Blues & Brews Festival. Location was convenient, restaurants excellent, rooms nice & matresses very comfy!

Review 131:The "guard" at the elevators could have been a tad more friendly, yet I recognize it is a necessary, yet, thankless job.

Review 132:Friendly room cleaners. Clean hotel.

Review 133:Nothing was bad about our stay.

Review 134:All the staff at the hotel/casino were great. The room was awesome, the food was great in the casino and we really enjoyed our trip. The bed was a little hard for us but the staff brought an egg crate right up and put it on our bed.

Review 135:45 min standing in line to check in. Room clean but the ac never got cool enough very hot room. Not quiet

Review 136:Enjoyed casino experience, the comps buffet etc.
