Reviews for Hostel Fish
Review 1:The Hostal is great, one of the best I've ever stayed in. Staff is young, polite and accommodating. I met amazing people during my stay. The facilities are immaculate. Simply incredible quality at a great price. Highly highly recommend to anyone
Review 2:The staff was great! The bed was very comfortable, and you're right in LoDo so there's plenty to do. I've stayed in a number of hostels in my day, and Hostel Fish is one of the best.
Review 3:Would be wonderful if there were some comfortable higher tables or trays next to the couches (with some cushions for more back support) in the bar area and upstairs in the "quiet" area.
Review 4:Fabulous personalized cocktails made by the staff. Great location. So much more interesting than a generic hotel. Way interesting historical background on the site!
Review 5:Too noisy at night (surrounded by a bar/club). Staff weren't friendly! There are very few electricity sockets, three/four in the main common area and non were working in the reading room. Lockers in bedroom were see-through perforated/mesh type lockers which I wouldn't feel very comfortable to display my Laptop/DSLR camera in!!
Review 6:Comfy beds. Nice decor.
Review 7:There is a night club downstairs, so if you stay here on the weekends be prepared not to sleep early. The floor shakes from the sound system, it is insanely loud.
Review 8:clean bathrooms, good location, nice staff.
Review 9:I wish they had recycling! Also, lights next to each bed and more space in lockers. But honestly I have few complaints! A great hostel experience.
Review 10:Loved how comfortable the beds were!!!! The common areas were lovely as well as the rooms. Very clean bathrooms. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
Review 11:Location - very close to downtown and public transport. Bed was very comfortable. Beautiful property, clean and tidy. Staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. Hope to get back in the future. Many thanks to Tara, Eugene, Charley & the lady who worked the night shift (Apologizes, I can't remember her name). Thank you so much folks!
Review 12:Hostel doesn't really have a kitchen, just a coffee maker, fridge and microwave which is not great. Also it's in their bar so there's not a lot of chill out space if you want to buy your own drinks for dinner. Also be aware of you bring a car that the carpark next door requires you to renew your parking every morning at 6am. Get the parking app so you can do it from bed!
Review 13:Location was fine, staff were friendly and hostel was very clean
Review 14:It was just a little bit too pricey.
Review 15:Hostel Fish is a beautiful place to stay in. You will love the look and the feel of it. It is cosy, friendly and accommodating! People are great as well! Also it has the comfiest beds! Conveniently located in the downtown, 5 minutes away from the bus stop where you can hop on a bus to the airport, or to Boulder, also 10 minutes away from the Union Station.
Review 16:What I did not like was the immaturity of a few of the workers there. I won't ever return there just because of this and I won't recommend it. I'm too old for high school drama.
Review 17:The location was ideal for my travel purpose.
Review 18:The paid parking lots could add up if you are staying for long. The best price I found was $3 per night on Arapahoe and 20th. The time was until 6 a.m. but I was safe from tickets if I was not there exactly then.
Review 19:Everything was consistently clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated.
Review 20:Nothing it was awesome, will be back.
Review 21:I loved the comfort of the beds and the vibe of the music in Ophelias gave the room almost a musical heart beat. Stayed in the Indyroom. One suggestion though, get a dimmer switch for over head lights so they too can be a soft glow.
Review 22:No place to lock valuables in my room, but staff will hold items in secure area if needed. Even a small locker would be nice.
Review 23:Clean. Quiet when I was there ( 1 night). Really cute historic building. Nice common room. Most staff helpful and seemed to enjoy their jobs.
Review 24:if you're going to raise the price of your rooms because of demand, then you should offer the same amenities as other hotels.......soap, shampoo, phone, tv, etc. otherwise, keep your prices what they would normally be and don't take advantage of people.
Review 25:location
Review 26:By far the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. People may have preconceived notions that hostels (being communal) are dirty or unsafe. This was not the case. It was nicer than many private hotels I have been in. Great place to stay with a group or solo.
Review 27:There's a pub below that is very noisy during weekend's nights. Lucky if you have a room on the second floor. Breakfasts are theoretically set from 6 to 9 but in practice if you come to late (after 8) you may not have a chance to eat properly or to drink coffee.
Review 28:Loved the location, design, bed and reading room. Generally very comfortable!
Review 29:Barely any space in the room to put luggage, saw roommates sleeping with their suitcases on their beds because there is no space on the floor. Some closet space or cubicles should be a minimum! Several dorm doors were creaking like hell, imagine that and dozens of people coming back at all times of the night. Please Fish, go get some oil and lubricate the hinges. If you're not into night life, reconsider staying here: located in lodo, lots of noise and screaming till 3 am, you won't get much sleep. All in all not really worth the pricy bed for a couple of nights.
Review 30:Very friendly and helpful personel. Spacious and clean bathrooms. Nice and cozy lounges. Conveniently located at 5' walking from bus center where our can take the bus to the airport.
Review 31:The hostel is in the centre of pretty much everything. Anything and everything you need shopping, food, entertainment wise is pretty much right at your doorstep or within walking distance. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with any quest or query you presented them with. The provided breakfast in the morning was lovely and had a good bit of variety which is always a win for me. The beds where strangley comfortable they actually felt like cloud beds, very fluffy and very comfortable. The over all atmousphere of the place is very artsy and very chilled. It was the first time i'd travelled solo so i was a littke nervous however the people in the hostel where also great and i found myself in a part of a little community. I would highly recommend this hostel and hope to revisit very soon
Review 32:The hostel was amazing. The staff were very helpful regarding information ( plane to visit, pubs, clubs, people) about local area. Will be returning next time in America probably one of the newest and trendiest hostel I've stayed in.
Review 33:Terrible nights sleeps because of snoring bunk mates which is of course no fault of the owners.
Review 34:The history of the hostel, the design and layout felt more like a high end hotel. It's an amazing hostel.
Review 35:The Breakfast could have been better, but that's no reason to not come back
Review 36:Amazing location, unbelievable staff, super clean living conditions for an extremely reasonable price.
Review 37:no other way to put it--you can't beat this place. Cheap but with all that you would expect from a five-star hotel (except for sharing your room with a stranger obviously.)
Review 38:Tara and the staff here were amazing!
Review 39:Those who work here are very friendly and the atmosphere is excellent. Would definitely recommend this for anyone I know.
Review 40:Very clean, nicely decorated, friendly and helpful personal, and excellent location.
Review 41:Loved the funky design
Review 42:More hostel game nights or outings

Review 45:one of the best American hostels I have visited.
Review 46:Nothing.
Review 47:Great atmosphere.
Review 48:The most comfortable hostel bed ever.
Review 49:Small lockers meant my bag didn't fit!
Review 50:Awesome clean, cool hostel, loved my stay!
Review 51:Staff was super great and accommodating. Clean facilities and comfy beds. Made for an excellent trip! Thanks so much!
Review 52:The downstairs of the building is a bar, and on the weekend loud music was blaring until 2 AM
Review 53:Good location downtown, close to many events
Review 54:Bathrooms could be a little bit cleaner.
Review 55:A very new, highly modern Hostel in top location!
Review 56:Absolutely nothing.

Review 64:You people are patently against Styrofoam. and I for one applaud you for that. the staff is attentive almost to a fault.
Review 65:Very cool building; great atmosphere; friendly staff; clean facilities and comfy beds
Review 66:They ahould have more female only rooms
Review 67:Amazing interior design
Review 68:It seems like there is no No Smoking room.
Review 69:It's located really near to the downtown, so it is easy to get almost everywhere in the city.
Review 70:Awesome staff and the bed was amazing in the private room.
