Review 1：OTO Development owns this property and the Sheraton next door. When I arrived It was recommended that I try the restaurant located at the Sheraton. My experience there was terrible and the restaurant staff need to be retrained or placed in a position that doesn't involve customer engagement. When I returned to Hyatt Place and told the front desk staff about my experience they provided me with great service and a better meal. this wasn't there problem but they took care of it. Whenever I go back to DC I'll stay at Hyatt Place and NEVER eat at the Sheraton.

Review 2：The front desk staff was exceptional!

Review 3：The thermostat was not functioning because someone had turned off the main heating/cooling system. The first phone I tried to use did not work because the battery was dead. The staff said they would be at the room in 10 minutes and it was 25 minutes -- after I went down to the desk to get someone -- that someone came.

Review 7：The breakfast was so so. They need more variety. If you don't at pork or powdered eggs, your options for hot food is only pancakes. The pool hours are horrible! I was informed (by another guest) that the pool had to have a lifeguard on duty and that's why the hours of the pool being open was SO random. I was NOT informed by the staff that I could go to the hotel next door to use THEIR pool. Why not?

Review 8：The room was excellent. The size of the room was great. One small issue with the television inputs (that I never brought to the staffs attention). 24 access to food in the lobby was great and being able to order over the phone and pick it up was very convenient.

Review 9：Was surprised to find pool closed during our stay but went next door to Mariott to use theirs. I did not realise there were 2 hotels and our taxi took us to the other one. The manager gave us a free upgrade which was very nice.

The bedroom window didn't close all the way and freeway noise was too loud to sleep. The big spider was in the bathroom. The hotel is very old building and looked like a dorm before....

Larger than other area hotel rooms we have stayed in the past. The overall appearance of the hotel is great. We will definitely stay at this hotel in the future.

Review 24：The breakfast was a major disappointment for someone who just got off a 12-hour plane ride eating only plane food. Expected better quality food at the hotel but to be met with bland (literally and figuratively) disappointment.

Review 26：Excellent location close to Dulles International Airport and the Smithsonian Institution National Air and Space Museum, just a must see for all ages ! The Hotel runs a free bus shuttle to and from the airport and museum. The hotel staff were courteous and most helpful.

Review 27：our flight came in late and shuttle had stopped running 5 minutes prior. had to pay for a cab. Wasn't too happy about that. Shuttle stops at 11:45 P.M. I called at 11:50.

Review 38：The staff upon check in were not qualified. I used booking.com to reserve 2 rooms. Upon checking in the first room was in the system but the second room was not. I had the confirmation for both rooms but was denied the second room. The clerk advised me to call Booking.com to resolve the issue. I called Booking.com and immediately had great assistance. Booking.com called the hotel to resolve the matter but no one answered. I asked the three attendants at the front desk to answer the phone but was informed that there was only one line available because someone spilled coffee on the main phone. Finally the booking.com agent used my phone to discuss the issue directly to the front desk clerk. It was agreed that I could get the second room. However, 20 minutes later I was not checked in. I was told there were no king rooms available and the queen rooms were $10 more. I suggested that we forget the booking.com reservation and just make a new reservation but the clerk informed me that Booking.com would charge my CC and I would have to pay for the room twice. Eventually, the manager arrived and quickly made a decision to assign a King room at the original price. I have stayed in this hotel on 3 occasions and this is the first negative experience. I am assuming it is a staff problem and the problem will be corrected between Booking.com, the Hotel, and the substandard staff.

I had to take a taxi (van) to the hotel. Employees are not polit at all. It took me 2 tries for them to answer my call. When I told them I specifically put a note when I booked that I will be arriving between 11pm and midnight and they should have told me that they dont operate the shuttle 24h. Indtade of being polit and sorry the employee was like "the last shuttle just moved at 11:40 pm and you have to take a taxi". He could have been more polit and sorry because the last shuttle moved earlier than midnight.

Review 65：Upon receiving our bill on the morning of check out we noticed that the room rate was not what we booked via Booking.com. The night manager, who was very helpful, claimed that they were working with a new system and made the adjustment on our bill. I am now waiting to see what shows up on my credit card.
