Review 1：We only stayed one night on a quick trip. It was perfect for what we needed. Close to the beach, free parking and very comfortable and clean! Did I mention FREE parking?

Review 2：This place was not worth my money. My wife and kid were both creeped out and nobody got any sleep. From the noisy AC/Heater unit directly over the bed to the flooring that's so disgusting you have to hang out in the room with your shoes on. Even if you're on a budget I highly recommend that you choose someplace else.

Review 11：The ocean view rooms on the west side of the hotel have a restaurant and its kitchen exhaust fan between you and the ocean breezes.sooo...if you want to enjoy the views from your balcony it's gonna smell unpleasant from lunch until late in the evening. Direct tv was not working and Front desk was not helpful.safe did not work.

Review 37：Apathic staff, no breakfast included for the price of the room. Had an email upfront late check out was possible... at arrival they asked extra money for the late check out. I denied...

Review 39：Room was not ready by stated 3:00 pm. check-in. Badly needed room phone didn't work and wi-fi connection was sporadic. No coffee in room. Not enough parking available so staff parked my car blocking other residents who were quite upset when I came out to move my car.

Review 40：As a former Hermosa Beach resident, you really can't do much better for location. Convenient to most of the things people come to Hermosa for. The beach, bars and restaurants. Rooms are spacious and those with an ocean view (my room anyway) did indeed have a nice view of the strand/ocean. Kind staff.

Review 41：I could hear everything next door to me and they were so loud. I asked the nice man when I checked in if I could have a late check out, he said noon was fine. Except come 11:35 I was on a very important business call and the cleaners kept knocking and proceeded to enter even though I said not to. It took him a minute to realize I was busy to say sorry and exit.

Review 43：The rooms are newly remodeled and very clean. There is a microwave and refrigerator in every room. The staff is really friendly and helpful. This hotel is so much cheaper than the other hotels in the immediate area and is within sight of the beach! There is a restaurant right next door and it is a short walk to the pier. Lots of shopping and restaurants withing walking distance. This is a great value because it gets you right on the beach without the high prices!

Review 46：When a hotel is called 'Grandview' you'd expect this to reflect what was visible from the window. Sadly, our room overlooked a back alley and was consequently rather dark. Also, it seems rather strange to include kitchen facilities - including a microwave - but no kettle!

Review 47：Small hotel in great location - Hermosa is laid back and very pleasant. Good parking facilities and very near to the Strand and the adjacent beach. Hotel itself is fine: no real facilities outside the room - but no problems either. Kitchen facilities in room were an added bonus.

The rooms were large & newly refurbished. Free parking was also included with the room & in a beach town parking is priceless! I would not hesitate to return.

Review 59：The manager doesn't speak very good English. He's very hard to understand, My wife had to translate as I couldn't understand a word he said. We were suppose to get a room with 2 queen beds and got 2 full. The view from balcony was the roof of the building next door, couldn't see the ocean at all. When we asked about a room on the 2nd floor the manager said that because we had booked thru Booking .com the better rooms were not available and we should have called him direct??? Not being familiar with the area we asked if he could recommend any local restaurants for dinner. His answer was "I don't have a clue". What the heck, the guy manages a business and he doesn't know anything about his location. Not enough available parking spaces. They have 12 parking spaces and I counted 16 rooms.??? When we returned from dinner the lot was full and one car was parked blocking half the entrance because of no available spaces. thankfully we walked to a nearby restaurant.Very small elevator, barely enough room for 3 people, to fit and it goes so slow that it's faster to take the stairs. The bathroom door in our room had a frosted glass panel???? so if you went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and turned on the light you would wake up everyone in the room from the light shining thru. I have never seen a bathroom door with a glass panel. that's just plain stupid. The room had a table and 2 chairs, their was no place to set your luggage. I used one of the chairs. the balcony had 4 chairs and no table. The TV, well they have Direct TV and about 600 channels, good luck trying to find any of the major networks, I finally gave up, turned it off and went to bed while the wife watched "the Waltons" with a very young Johnboy, because she couldn't find anything else. If you just want a place close to the beach and not much else, this place will do. But I know I won't be staying here again.

Review 60：It's a very short walk to the beach, within walking distance to many restaurants & shops which we found on our own. The manager hasn't a clue. If your looking for just a basic room and a place to sleep that's close to the beach this place will do.

Review 74：The apartment was well furnished but on some websites the apartment was said to have a kitchenette. This consisted of a sink, a microwave, a fridge, plastic and paper cups. Maybe it was our misunderstanding but we were expecting some cutlery and crockery.
