Reviews for Rio Grande Plaza Hotel and Suites
Review 1:Location was bad. Parking was bad. Check-in was bad. Room was dirty. Bed sheets were filthy with pubic hair & bodily fluids.
Review 2:Nothing good about this hotel.
Review 3:Roaches in the hotel room, uncomfortable bed. When asked to get my money back they told me I was out of luck that I should have known the conditions of the hotel.
Review 4:Nothing
Review 5:Hotel shows its age but that wasn't important to me.
Review 6:Fair value and nice to have a free basic breakfast. Coffee machine in the moderately spacious room with work desk.
Review 7:oh don't make me keep going
Review 8:dirty, not safe, a bar smells better regarding cigar smell, we decided to lay down towels on top of the bed sheets so we can put our heads. Not good for children,
Review 9:No hot water the whole time I was there. And the advertised continental breakfast consisted of dry cereal, milk, coffee, & a jug of cheap juice. That's it.
Review 10:Location was great
Review 11:I will post pics on google review. The room was filthy, smelled, old tvwith no remote! The toilet was disgusting. There was mold growing on thefloor near the vanity. If the parking lot had more light we would haveslept in the car! Awful!!!!
Review 12:The location is in a rundown part of town where getting around without a car is a problem. Told not to walk around at night. We did get a hotel shuttle to the mail but the availability is sparse since staff is sparse. No international or national calls from the hotel is allowed in fact I found it impossible to contact the front desk from my room. Hardly any people at the hotel even on the weekend. We were the only ones there for dinner. They advertised a continental breakfast but half the time did not put it out even when asked. My son lost his money in a vending machine and the front desk said it was his problem. The only really friendly person who spoke English is leaving.
Review 13:It is just a shame that such a beautiful place falls on hard times. The hotel could be top notch. Rooms are spacious and clean. Fantastic views of the river from the 7th floor. There is a spectacular casino suite at the top where you can eat certain nights at reasonable prices. We needed to be near the Mexican Consulate and the location was ideal. Reasonable rates and if you have a car, great.
Review 14:I would have very much appreciated more, and more comprehensive, vending machines for use during times the restaurant is closed. Also, at times the hotel does seem understaffed, though the staff current staff members do a wonderful job of seeing that all customer needs are met.
Review 15:This was my second stay at Rio Grande Plaza, and I will be staying there again in the next few months. The relaxed atmosphere coupled with friendly, excellent customer service make it a familiar, comfortable and convenient choice. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Laredo, TX.

Review 32:Old CRT TV Had to change room for wi fi Needs major refurbishing
Review 33:Location and price Irene at front desk very nice and helpful
Review 34:Getting in & out of the parking lot
Review 35:I like the view
Review 36:The staff was a little too harsh to my visitors. I understand, at the front desk you are not allowed to share information but there are still better ways to handle the situation. I say this because I've worked as a front desk manager before.
Review 37:The food was great.
Review 38:Unfortunately time has moved on since 1975 but the building hasn't. Much of the decoration looks tired, although the facilities mostly worked. The current manager has ambitious plans for the hotel: time will tell whether he succeeds in restoring its former glory. It's difficult to foresee whether in five years' time it will be much better or will have closed.
Review 39:The location, high on a bluff overlooking the Rio Grande and Mexico, with panoramic views from the 15th floor observation gallery. The building itself, a twelve-sided tower, and the consequent spacious unusually-shaped bedrooms. The hotel was obviously the last word in luxury when it was opened in 1975.
Review 40:No Air Conditioning! Carpet had many tears and patches in it. Windows looking out to historic market were filthy on the outside. Breakfast only consisted of choice of two dry cereals and toast. Will not book again.
Review 41:Close to pedestrian bridge across Rio Grande River to Nuevo Laredo. Close to historic Laredo Market District.
Review 42:The water in the pool was very very cold.
Review 43:I liked the fact that the staff was there to help us in any way we needed . they treated us as family and that is very important . I will stay there every time I visit Laredo Texas. Thank you very much.
Review 44:Given the fact the establishment is under major renovation the inconveniences reflect the potential to be a fist class establishment. But a lot of major renovation is required. $$$$$$$$.cc
Review 45:The courtesy, and assistance of all staff encountered was superb. The location outstanding and the building design is unique with the potential to be the premier hotel in area
Review 46:Everything was ok!
Review 47:The bathroom
Review 48:The reception
