Review 1：Everything! The space in the room was perfectly distributed and made us feel like it was a little house! The sheets and towels were the softest and the bathtub amazing. There is not a more perfect locations. We seriously can't wait for the next time we stay. The staff started to feel like family!

Glad we had a room not facing the beach as one day was windy and sand was blown about. Cleaned and re stocked well each day. Staff were great and wore fancy dress for Halloween and always helpful. Nice to eat outdoors overlooking the beach. Cool place to stay with many good places to eat 2 min walk away. Would happily stay here again.

Review 12：everything was great. Early check in, the room was ready and waiting and clean!. The views are spectacular from the ocean front top floor, and they are spacious enough to not feel like you are cramped even with suitcase adorning the floor etc. Honestly, a really great hotel.

Review 13：Unfortunately I'm pretty sure we had one of the worst "partial ocean view" rooms. The upgrade may be well worth it, but unfortunately after asking multiple times, we were unable to do so... they were sold out. While they did offer another option for us, it was no better as both were immediately adjacent to the driveway (so loud vehicle & truck noise and partial 'view' are the only complaints about these room types). Also, some sites state that there is a pool, there is not, just a Jacuzzi at the fitness center in the back of the property. No problem for us, we were there for the ocean.

Review 14：Hotel location was great! The beach was right out the door of the property. The Strand makes for a great morning or evening walk. There are lots of decent restaurants and bars nearby. Bike / activity rentals within 50 yards in every direction. The CONTINENTAL breakfast was adequate, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There was a divider between the bed / desk area, and the pullout / living area so our kids were not nestled right next to us.

Review 15：No room service! Very surprised that a hotel of this standing did not offer room service. Only discovered when i returned to room one night at 9:30pm feeling very tired and hungry. Best they could do was send me a list of local restaurants to call. It was like, it's your problem not ours!

Review 19：False advertising, I guess. It said "jet bath tub" in the description in booking.com but there was no jet in the bath tub. It was just an ordinary bath tub, a bit bigger but just regular bath tub...no jets! I booked for 2 rooms. My room was more expensive but I did not have a separate shower room. The other room where I put my sister and her husband had a separate shower room in addition to the bath tub but still the same, it was advertised as having a "jet bath tub" but it was not.

Review 34：We were upgraded from ocean view to ocean front and this made ourhoneymoon! What a fantastic place to stay, the best place we'veever been and we travel a lot. It cost a pretty penny, but it was worthit for our honeymoon. The breakfast was delicious, the service wasgreat, couldn't hear noise from other rooms, the bed was verycomfortable, the list goes on. We will definitely stay here again for aspecial occasion.

Review 48：Sit on your balcony with a drink and watch the world go by on the strand. Great place to chill out. Volleyball courts and beach right at your door. Hotel has complimentary towels and beach chairs. They even have buckets and spades for the kids to play. Nicely presented breakfast included in room rate.

Review 49：1) when I pulled into the valet. The valet insisted I didn't have a reservation. I go to the front desk and check in ( I did have a reservation the valet guy was wrong). While it wasn't a big deal it was annoying. 2) there's no distinguishing between stairs and carpet-- right after checking in, I sprained my ankle on the stairs (stupid on my part) but I was looking around the room 3) valet said I didn't valet my car, and then they said I didn't pay for my valet. First off you should know where my car is. Secondly, I was given a hard time about it while having a sprained ankle and could barely walk. Valet staff was the absolute rudest and worst.!

Very happy with continental breakfast. Jacuzzi was lovely, gym was nothing to speak of but did the job. Very happy with complimentary beach chairs and towels. Bike rental is very close and $7 for an hour which everyone enjoyed. Frito Miso restaurant recommended - great family, great value. Very close to lots of cafes and shops.

Staff gave me an attitude when I was saying it was not really an oceanroom view, they must get that a lot

Review 70：The wi-fi is not very good. It is a very slow connection and kicks you offline quite often. It's also only available in four hour blocks, which is quite strange. I understand setting time restrictions, but it seems like it should start daily from check-in to next day check-out and then you should have to put in the password again if you are staying over. There were a few ants in our room and the pigeon waste on the patio was disgusting. We couldn't really enjoy sitting outside because of it. They should clean the patio areas daily. It's a bit noisy during the day but absolutely quiet at night.

Bike shop next to property allow guests to experience the Southern CA coast without the need to fight the 405 freeway traffic. A real gem!

We had to keep our blinds shut and could not ever go on our porch during the day. I feel either I should have been made aware of this, charged a lower fee, or given a different room. It completely affected my stay at your hotel.

It was disappointing since a few days before we received a notification to pay a bit more to "upgrade" our room to a partial oceanview suite and could not even enjoy this view since we had to keep the blinds closed for privacy. It would have been nice if there had been some hot foods or make-them-yourself waffles. They ran out of yogurt after four days. I was told that the shipment didn't arrive. Also, the parking was quite expensive, but I suppose no more than anywhere else.

Review 110：The location on the beach was fantastic. We had a small balcony overlooking The Strand, which allowed us to people watch. The gas fireplace was a really great feature. I thought it was the best place I've ever stayed and that includes The Plaza in NYC.
