Review 1：Construction going on n Booking.com failed to mention that:/ Everything was limited access and limited breakfast. Construction zone to get to the old and tiny outside pool and hottub. Maybe after their remodel is over, all the areas & pool area will be more inviting and worth the amount of its costs.

Review 7：There wasn't a tv upstairs. There wasn't any balcony furniture for us to enjoy sitting out there. We will not stay in a room with a loft bed room again because it was a bit difficult for us to go up and down the spiral stairs. There is only one bathroom and it is downstairs.

Review 8：The room was nice and clean and looked like everything was new. The view was beautiful and the staff was very nice. We would like to try one of the Jacuzzi rooms next time we visit.

Review 9：The staff. I broke a bone in my foot while I was traveling to Culver City. By the time I arrived at the hotel I could hardly walk. The staff arranged for a room not too far (even there was too far) from the elevator, they carried my luggage to the room and brought me buckets of ice to keep my foot from swelling to much. I'm sorry I can't be anymore detailed about my stay. I was in a lot of pain and all I wanted to do was drive home the next day. Thank you to your staff.

Review 16：Rude staff. We couldn't stay only one hour more after check out time. Even though one day cleaning lady came only around 3. Breakfast is weak... Rooms facing to the highway are very loud. Other side rooms with ocean view have only partly (very partly) ocean view! Not worth the price. Pool area is a joke. Hermosa beach itself is a long and hilly way! It's rather a motel (bad motel) than hotel.

Also the showers way to old get some hand held showers sopeople dont break there back trying to wash there hair.

Review 23：The location was fantastic. Buses (130 and 232) stops right outsidegoing to Redondo Beach and a long trip but 232 will take you to LongBeach (suburb). The 130 also goes to South Bay Galleria shoppong mall.Breakfat area of hotel was great you could even dit outside by theJapanese garden. All in all a good place to stay on a budget.

Review 35：My room "by the beach" had one window that was about two feet wide by four feet tall at ground level that opened up to the walkway between the rooms and the pool. The wake-up call system didn't work. I was 2 hours late to my meeting one day, after being assured that it did indeed work. There were no plugs for my phone alarm close to the bed. I was promised a personal wake-up call the last morning and it didn't come. Not cool.

The whole room smelled of b.o. loud people and cops were called everynight. Staff was great and the front looked good when you got there but we stayed in the loft suite, it should have been $99 a night . over priced by a land slide sorry we wont be back. And the people passed out in the garage all the time big downer but it was the 4th of july

Review 67：Despite the entrance being on a busy intersection it was still in a good location. We had a nice, spacious double-storey loft room with 2 balconies, ample parking and free wifi. There were places to eat nearby and Hermosa Beach was a 20 minute walk with more shops on the way. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was at the back so away from traffic noise.

Review 87：Not the hotels fault - city was doing electrical repairs which caused power outage for short period of time. Hotel gave plenty of notice and explicit instructions as to how to address the 30-45 minutes between outage & generator start. Good job staff.

Review 89：The only time I am at the hotel when near the beach is for breakfast and after dark in my room. The view from the breakfast terrace is AWESOME! The full view of Palos Verdes Peninsula is moving! The gardens on site are relaxing. The bed in our room was perfect! My hips never fell asleep and my back was pain free in the morning!

Review 97：the hotel is overpriced for a three star. We complained and were upgraded a a very reasonable price. The room had a great view but we sadly in need of redecorating and had cobwebs in the loft area. We were woken in the night by noisy neighbours.The bathroom was big and clean.

Review 99：My husband and I reserved a jacuzzi suite for valentines day! I loved the jacuzzi tub, bed was super comfy, nice big shower (for 2 ;-) )! The room was perfect, except there was fake rose petals under the loveseat and bed (from previous guest), and our room was on PCH, so we heard sirens all night long. I had requested a garden view, but got put on the corner of the main road (kinda the point of getting away to the beach). Also my husband and I smoke, they have a smoking section 4ft x 3ft which has a bike rack, half was behind a building! I did love the garden area, too bad I missed the sunrise and sunset, it has a nice ocean view, to sit and have a morning cup of coffee!

Review 116：Our bathroom outlet didn't work, crumbled when touched. We were told 3 times it would be repaired, but all we got was an orange extension cord, which we constantly tripped over. When we moved to another hotel for our second night, our card was still charged for 2 nights. Never again will I stay there on one of my frequent trips to the area to visit family.

Review 132：Staff attitude was terrible, no crib was placed in the room for our baby and the receptionist couldn't care less. He said "housekeeping have gone home, I don't know where they keep them" So where shall I let my 1 year old sleep then? Not his problem apparently. When I spoke to the lady upon checkout about our stay she had the same attitude and again there was no apology. Just an "oh well" attitude. The room we were given looked as if it had been slept in and when we complained there was no apology. The second room was an "upgrade" as it had an ocean view but with a double bed instead of the king I had paid for we asked to be moved again. Breakfast was good if a little average, the make your own waffles saved it really. Could be a really nice hotel if they sorted out the staff and updated it a bit.

Review 134：The breakfast could have a few more offerings but worked well for us since my daughter rarely eats breakfast. One night we came back and there was no parking but the staff told us about parking at a nearby store that they had an agreement with and that worked out well. The rooms are a little dated and there is a limited amount of channels on the television.

Review 135：The hotel was clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The location was great. It was easy to get around to all the areas of LA that we wanted to visit and a quick drive down the street to the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

We know PCH is heavily travelled and the hotel was unable to stop it but the female AM clerk displayed little insight into good customer relations by repeating to us what we know about PCH. Ya we know how busy it is but a simple gee were sorry?
