Reviews for The Crawford Hotel

Review 1:It would be nice to have a mini bar in the room. Our room - the attic - was beautiful, but the window was rather high, so in order to look out of window at the the street and fireworks we had to stand, instead of sitting in a comfortable chair. Also, it would be nice to have jets in the tub.

Review 2:We booked hotel for New Year's eve. We wanted to be at the site of celebration, and were not disappointed! The hotel is inside renovated raiway station, and it gives it additional charm. Also, it was convinient - we parked out car at a park and ride near out home, and took the train all the way to the hotel. The staff was super helpful.

Review 3:Room service awful...brown paper bag. Gotta be kidding. Terrible. Bartenders at bar (perhaps not your venue) were terrible. Long, long lines to get a drink while they polished glasses and stacked glasses and washes glasses. Bad

Review 4:Great staff and location

Review 5:Hard to find entrance and valet stand. Didn't know where to pull in to find hotel. Poorly marked

Review 6:Atmosphere room and restaurant selection Location

Review 7:We stayed one night Christmas Eve - loved all the families and activity going on at the hotel. The rooms were fun, clean and comfortable and definitely a cut above the standard hotel experience. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others!

Review 8:I'm not usually someone who complains. I run my own small business so appreciate certain feed back. We ordered breakfast from snooze. It was really bad. Over cooked eggs. Cold. No utensils. No butter. For $60+ I expected a much better breakfast especially after such a fun stay.

Review 9:We loved the location. We live in Denver and have our whole lives. This was treat and honestly felt like we were out of town for cacation

Review 10:It was a beautiful room, however we stayed the fourth floor of the hotel and we did not really have a view. The window was about 6 feet up from the floor. The room did have vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and brick (which was gorgeous) but it was kind of like a cave feeling with such a lack luster window and view. For the price of the room, the location is amazing but I wish a happy hour/cocktail hour or maybe a breakfast could have been offered. I only say that because I am typically a Hilton hotel fan. I guess I have become spoiled by an amazing breakfast set up at Hilton products. Either way, I would definitely stay here again.

Review 11:Beautiful room, cozy and comfy king size bed. Very lovely building overall.

Review 12:i do have one suggestion: given that the station is still active, the elevator bank by the amtrak ticket window didnt seem to be monitored by a live guard. While the card key should prevent strangers from going up to the rooms, nothing prevents strangers with questionable intentions from boarding the elevator. I think having someone there or an access door to the elevator would help alleviate fears of an incident.

Review 13:i was very impressed by what you've accomplished. Design, quality of work, attention to detail, strong water pressure, comfortable beds, volume of space. Seriously impressed. I took lots of pictures

Review 14:We had à room with à high window And could not look outside

Review 15:Everything... Cooper bar great place to have à cocktail Walking to restaurants Having coffee with another 100 people so very lively

Review 16:Parking is limited and not very convenient. We mistakenly stopped at the valet stand for union Station itself rather than the hotel and the valet staff were very rude.

Review 17:The staff was very nice and helped us locate reasonable parking after checking. Several great restaurants and bars within walking distance

Review 18:Our room had a tiny window that was too high to see out of. The furniture looked like it came from the "gently used" section at Ikea. The faucet was broken in the bathroom. And only one bar of soap - you need to have at least 2 if you have a sink and a shower.

Review 19:The location is great, but you need more than location to command a $400/night room rate.

Review 20:For the very expensive price of the hotel it seemed like it was lacking a few amenities that most modern day hotels have... The mini fridge didn't seem to be on or cold enough and everything we put in it went bad, the coffee maker didn't have a plug accessible where it was stored so you had to take it out and find somewhere to plug it... No USB cord plug ins or speakers. It was all things we could live without but for $625 a night, could have used them..

Review 21:Location was excellent, convenient to going out, restaurants, concerts, shopping, etc

Review 22:From the moment I checked in to the time that I checked out (taking the train to Glenwood Springs from Union Station the next morning...whereupon at checkout I was promptly handed a chilled water for my journey by the gentleman at the check-in/check-out desk), I felt that I was the only person that mattered to any of the staff at the Crawford. Thank you so very much for making even a one-night stay at the Crawford so very fine...I can't wait to meet you all again next time!!! If asked to "rate" this hotel, I will say that I travel a great deal, and up 'til now, the nicest stay I've ever had in a hotel was the Westminster Park Plaza Hotel at the Thames Gate in London. My stay at the Crawford was MUCH better!!!

Review 23:Bathroom is nice and I don't mind sliding doors on bathrooms but would like them to close all the way and how about more than one hook or a bar for towels. Also the train station in the center is novel but a bit disconcerting when checking in - I had no idea where to go.

Review 24:Loved the location and choice of restaurants within the immediate area. The room was great and loved the windows looking out onto the tracks (sounds odd but true and you could not hear a thing through those windows).

Review 25:Loved our stay with you. Would love to see you run specials for week-ends etc. We have begun traveling with our pet so would like to bring Abby with us occasionally.

Review 26:The only problem I had was that I was my room is located too close to the bar and it was loud until late

Review 27:The room was very nice and very comfortable, staff was very pleasant

Review 28:We're not a fan of the frosted glass window on the sliding door between the bedroom and bathroom - prefer a door that closes completely with no window. Just a personal preference...

Review 29:Gorgeous restoration of Union Station that keeps its respect for the past. Very good service at hotel; I needed a shaving kit sent up and had it in a few minutes.

Review 30:The only minor issue was that the valets were not helpful getting a cab. At a first class hotel you should not have to hail your own cab.

Review 31:Loved the good coffee and restaurants right in the lobby/train station. Excellent location

Review 32:It's very noisy because it's inside a train station and the rooms are tiny. We booked the largest room that was supposed to have a king bed. The bed was a queen size not a king!

Review 33:You can't beat the location!

Review 34:We wish it was priced a little more reasonably so we could afford to stay another night.

Review 35:Staying at the Crawford Hotel made it so easy to navigate downtown on our little celebration adventure. We took the light rail to Union Station and avoided driving and parking fees all together. The room was modern and luxurious: Bathrobes, slippers, amazing pillows and linens. We also took advantage of the the option to order Snooze in for breakfast in the morning rather than waiting forever for the amazing food. Great stay and a fun city escape! Perfect to celebrate our anniversary and Mother's Day.

Review 36:Only one chair (not counting a desk chair) lovely to look at, not comfortable for my 5'2" stature. Had to haul a stacking table from under the bedside table to use as a chair-side table. No room service per se, only "in-room" dining (take-out.)

Review 37:Built in renovated Union Station, the rooms are urban chic, very nicely done. The hotel provided a complimentary bottle of Prosecco for our anniversary.

Review 38:Nothing

Review 39:Omg, where do I start, I will need more adjectives to describe how phenomenal our room was, what an experience! Really unforgettable, sing it Nat King Cole

Review 40:The rennovation of Denver's Union Satation is amazing and The Crawford kept to the look and feel of the classic train station, with all the latest amenities and technology.

Review 41:None!

Review 42:Staff were very accommodating especially valets. Close 5-10 minute walk to Pepsi center. Close to 16th street mall with lots of bars and restaurants.

Review 43:The parking. The ice machine was broken on our floor.

Review 44:The hotel is really unique. The rooms are lovely with nice touches of one of a kind accents. The bathroom specious.

Review 45:Room next to Cooper Lounge was extremely loud until almost 2 am. Would request room down hall through double doors next time.

Review 46:Within walking distance to everything! Mercantile restaurant was excellent!

Review 47:Our room was facing the back of the hotel. There were people dumping bins of glass bottles and other thumping noises until late in the evening - and sometimes starting up EARLY in the morning. Late - I mean between 11 and 12pm. Early was 4:30am.

Review 48:The location, rooms, staff, atrium, and tesla were all excellent. The location near downtown was great.

Review 49:One of her biggest complaint was the noise in the hole. We could hear people talking in the halls all night long. This Is awake, which defeats the purpose of staying in a hotel and getting rest. Parking was probably another costly thing that we didn't appreciate.

Review 50:It was a nice contemporary place and we enjoyed that.

Review 51:I'm really trying to find something that we didn't like. Probably the only let down was that the humidifier which we requests did work at all. Other than that, a 4 star experience.

Review 52:First of all, the Crawford Hotel is the perfect location for a stay-cation. It had all the bells and whistles we hoped to have for the first couple nights of our honeymoon. The valet and front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, as was the room service staff.

Review 53:Quirky pieces of art. TV was not HD. Pricy. Comparable to Four Seasons and, although it is very nice, a Four Seasons' price tag seemed ostentatious.

Review 54:Loved the ambiance of the old train station. Loved the energy of the crowd, amenities and shops/bars in teh atrium. Our room opened to the atrium, which was vibrant, but when the door closed, silence. Black out shades and a comfy bed made for a peaceful night's sleep. Friendly and helpful staff who were familiar with the history of Union Station and took pride in it.

Review 55:I liked everything

Review 56:The history of the train station is enhanced by the charm of the hotel which has well appointed comfortable rooms. The cafes, restaurants and Terminal Bar are. most enjoyable.

Review 57:The handle on the sliding door to the bath was loose. (Stops weren't set properly) The mirror trim around the headboard was broken and taped in several places. The closet door was warped rather badly already.

Review 58:The bed was comfortable, the hotel is a nice blend of the original and the new. We really liked the main lobby, the tall ceilings and the walnut trim. Nice shower as well.

Review 59:The hotel is great but the picture on the booking.com site is completely different then the room you get. It is still a great room but was disappointed that the room on the site was not the actual room you get or paid for. I realize that this is not the hotels fault but the booking website.

Review 60:The price was a bit spendy because of its location.

Review 61:I loved how the staff was helpful, cheerful and friendly. The truly wasted to please you. The room was gorgeous and comfortable.

Review 62:Staff is not trained to handle basic customer service issues. Room service was not available. Lack of attention to detail- they advertise the experience to be like no other and that isn't the case at all.

Review 63:Location Amenities Tesla

Review 64:Rooms were not attended properly for the price paid for the room.Forgotten drinking glasses, drapes hard to close, etc. One night therewere chocolates but none on the next two nights??Spill in evevator wasnot cleaned promptly which is a slip factor.Over priced!

Review 65:Excellent location

Review 66:There were some water bottles that other guests left in the fridge - half opened. Room service isn't "room service" but rather food to-go delivered for you - not so much a compliant but a friendly heads up!

Review 67:The decor was beautiful, such a wonderful old-school feel. Comfortable, large beds and nice bathroom. Shower was a little small.

Review 68:Can't think of anything.

Review 69:The front desk staff was very accommodating. The free shuttle was nice as well. The room was comfortable and I loved the shower head on the ceiling, and all the extra toiletries that made me feel at home.

Review 70:staff was inexperienced! dont pay attention to details staff didnt know good restaurants and lacked the ability to recommend sights, etc staff didnt know how to deal with upset customers staff didnt honor request for room with a view room service menu via ipad didnt work room had broken lamps, shower that leaked ice cold water lack of management presence hotel screwed up on multiple things and it came down to the lack of training of the staff. iron that out and you will have an excellent hotel

Review 71:location was awesome had restaurants, bars, shops, gym all inside the building Tesla availability

Review 72:I surprised by the super friendly staff (well trained) and also the quality of the hotel. The lobby bar was jammed and a fun environment. Cool restaurant Snooze and easy to use coffee and ice cream shop.

Review 73:The bedspread was much to bulky and heavy. It had to be 3 or 4 inches think and the room wasn't that cold to make that necessary.

Review 74:The easy access to the RTD gates. When we come to Denver the next time we will keep this factor in mind.

Review 75:Not a thing. I anticipated a memorable birthday and The Crawford more than delivered.

Review 76:Loved the convenience of taking the light rail to Union Station. Loved the beautiful renovation of this historic landmark. It is an exciting, vibrant location with much to see and do. The staff made my birthday special with unexpected touches. It was a lovely way to celebrate. Thank you!

Review 77:No optional morning paper delivery. Could never get wi-fi to work, but did not ask for tech assistance.

Review 78:Location at Union Station and access to downtown and Highlands. Spacious room, clean, nice amenities. Staff efficiency.

Review 79:A little on the pricey side, but we had too much fun to care!

Review 80:I never write reviews, but our stay at the Crawford was wonderful. A beautiful contemporary hotel built into a beautiful historic building. Half a block from 16th Street Mall, a block from the light rail, perfect location. The rooms are soundproof, never heard the train, street noise, or even my hotel "neighbors." Wonderful stay!

Review 81:Such a cool atmosphere! Can't believe I'm in Denver! Would recommend to all who enjoy that big city vibe- great food, great location! The windows are sound proof so you'll definitely get your much needed Zzzzz's after taking it ALL in!

Review 82:Overpriced for the room, even if it is new

Review 83:Downtown location, easy walk to many great restaurants all around, shuffleboard in the grand room, busy & happening place

Review 84:The room was small for the price.

Review 85:Location for travel in Denver. We traveled for a broncos game and I will stay there again for sure!!! Great stay and good feel for people coming from out of town!!

Review 86:One of the most enjoyable hotel stays that I have ever had. The rooms are large and the hotel is in a great location for work and pleasure. So many restaurants to choose from in the immediate area. Stoic and Genuine Restaurant was delightful. The best fresh Haddock ever.

Review 87:The property is original and lovely - a train station with shops, cafes and pubs. the hotel staff was friendly, professional and warm. They bent over backward to make sure we were comfortable during our lay-over in Denver. We normally stay at the Hotel Monaco and the Crawford won us over.

Review 88:The first night I as awaken at 6am as the restaurant set up there patio for breakfast. This consisted of moving both the tables and the chairs. The second night, the restaurant downstairs decided to clean their patio at 3am. This again consisted of moving tables and chairs across a stone surface as well as moving the railing surrounding the eating area. It was a sleepless night.

Review 89:Rooms were tastefully done, though cramped.

Review 90:Was a little noisy but enjoyed the stay. Would have liked room service. Restaurants were too crowded. I wish the room rate was lower, but guess that's downtown Denver.

Review 91:Atmosphere is great. Amazing rooms. Designer did a great job. Not like your average hotel room. Was really impressed and will return in the future.

Review 92:The rooms were very small for two people. There was a tiny closet that was filled with the ironing board and robes provided by the hotel. We had to put our suitcase in the window sill as there was no other space. Two people cannot fit into the bathroom at the same time. The shower door opened into the space where you stand at the sink.

Review 93:This hotel is part of the refurbished Amtrack station. It is modern along with the history of the place. The facilities are brand new and very nice. Loved the Oxford spa associated with the hotel. The Snooze restaurant is wonderful for breakfast - get the hash!!!

Review 94:I loved the location and hotel, but I gave the Facilities a "Fair" because I was sorely disappointed by the fact that when I checked in, I found out that the free bike service did not exist, and the Tesla car service was "not up and running yet." I was especially unhappy because I had called the day before my arrival, and was told the car service was available upon request. The bike and car service were major factors in my choosing of this hotel, because parking and transportation are so expensive in that area of Denver.

Review 95:price a bit much - but I'm willing to pay for luxury and location.

Review 96:turn down service was great - wish it was every night - location was amazing - in the heart of it all - and yet couldn't hear a thing from my room

Review 97:The automated 'do not disturb' didn't work: maid, 'wellness check', all. Prob should fix this- had multi awkward encounters. Roomservice wasn't avail. For all 4 days, understand new, just wish we'd known ahead. & make wifi unconditionally free, you're top-shelf, the HoJo has this :) Thanks for all

Review 98:Amazing facilities, staff beyond helpful (perhaps to exhaustion :)) beautiful, convenient, rare.

Review 99:Having to keep logging in to the WiFi every time you come back into the hotel.

Review 100:Location is right in the heart of town, in the Amtrak station and right next to the free bus along the main shopping street which leads to the state Capitol, museums and library.

Review 101:Nothing to say, a beautiful building rehabilitated to a modern standard

Review 102:Great rooms, beautiful complex, great food, brilliant location, can't say enough

Review 103:Everything about my stay at The Crawford was wonderful. The hotel and rooms were beautiful and clean. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Review 104:I RATED THE STAFF GOOD BECAUSE OF OUR EXPERIENCE AT CHECKIN. WE UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARRIVED EARLY AND CHECKIN IS 3PM. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE STAFF WOULD CALL IF THERE WAS A ROOM AVAILABLE BEFORE 3PM, SAID THEY EXPECTED ONE WOULD BE READYAROUND 1. WE CHECKED A FEW TIMES, NOTHING READY. THE LAST TIME, AROUND 2, WE WERE RUDELY TOLD THAT CHECKIN WAS 3. WE RETURNED AT 3:10, NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. WE RATED COFORT AND VALUE AS FAIR BECAUSE THE ROOM WAS EXTREMELY SMALL. IT WAS UNCOMFORTABLE FOR 2 PEOPLE TO MOVE AROUND AND THERE WAS NO PLACE FOR 2 LARGE BAGS.

Review 105:LOCATION WAS GREAT. OTHER THAN CHECKIN EXPERIENCE, STAFF WAS VERY GOOD. ROOM WAS APPOINTED VERY WELL, JUST TOO SMALL TO ENJOY.

Review 106:No hot water so has to have. Cold shower! BedRooms were on the small side. We walked to a restaurant (2 mins) called Thirsty Lion, which was really good. We then walked up 16th street which I would advise against. Lots of homeless people and people loitering.

Review 107:Great central Location. The hotel had modern rooms. Lots of bars and restaurants close by, free shuttle bus within short walk taking you into central shopping area.

Review 108:The windows in my room overlooked the Amtrak boarding platform. I opened my curtains and was staring eye-to-eye with someone on the platform, which was only 10 feet or so from the window. Also, the room was pretty small.

Review 109:The location, room decor, furnishings and mattress were all excellent. Despite the location right next to the train tracks, the soundproofing was really good.

Review 110:Lobby is part of a functioning train station. Can't room charge at the restaurants. Restaurants were definitely style over substance.

Review 111:Good rooms, great shower, good Wifi. Location of the hotel is great with close access to LoDo

Review 112:We stayed here for our 5th wedding anniversary. The staff was wonderful - they brought up a bottle of champagne for us for our anniversary. The setting in the train station was so unique. Great restaurants and shops. I highly recommend Snooze - great food and service. The mini iPad in the room was so helpful for setting up valet service, looking up information on the hotel, etc. We are already dreaming of our next trip to Denver, just so we can stay at The Crawford!

Review 113:The valet parking was pricey and parking for it was awkward. The valet staff however were phenomenal and did everything to help

Review 114:Comfortable beds. Excellent bathroom. Spacious. Unique. Close restaurants. Terrific customer service. What more could you ask for when away from home on business!

Review 115:Room was a bit small but extra high ceiling and quality furnishings made up for it.

Review 116:Location in the midst of new restaurants, shops and train station is excellent. Tesla car service is awesome! Soundproofing of rooms from train noise is a marvel.

Review 117:I had room 333 and at night there is a security door and each time a guest open the door to get to there rooms it slammed shut and continued to keep me awake most of the night they need to fix that.

Review 118:The Location and the ambiance

Review 119:I advised front desk when I left of the following issues so that the next guest would not have the same experience: iPad guest services could not be accessed - internet service down. WIFI - did not work. Television - screen was full of pixel color blocks popping in/out on all channels.

Review 120:Other than electronic/internet issues thought the hotel, staff, room, etc., were lovely. I will return again.

Review 121:No private common area for hotel guests - it's a very public loud lobby area that doesn't allow for quiet conversation. I couldn't use cash to check out which was very inconvenient. 1 elevator for each side of the hotel and no public access to stairs made the wait time for elevator somewhat annoying

Review 122:Staff was friendly and helpful and knee the local area very well. On call car service was quick - efficient and affordable. Response time for requests was excellent.

Review 123:was moved to another [inferior] room after wc overflowing by staff who did not care a bit - manager made financial amends the following day - so felt better about experience

Review 124:had only just opened so still had unfinished IT - could not access services etc. but wonderful hotel

Review 125:We loved the location and availability of food and drinks in Union Station! The staff was overly helpful and very friendly. our room was amazing and so quiet!

Review 126:bathroom design hotel staff television public bathroom noise lack of concern for comfort room wasn't ready by check-in time countless other things

Review 127:complimentary bar

Review 128:We were informed of a complimentary breakfast, but there wasn't one. We also had asked to have a ride arranged for the airport and that did not happen, We eventually called ourselves but almost missed our flight.

Review 129:Opening may have been a bit premature. Most of the restuarants were not open, couldn't get a drink late, outlets in the room did not work and valet service not up to par. Will be back but will expect more.

Review 130:Loved restaurant that was open--Stoic & genuine. Food phenomenal as was the service. Outdoor seating was great. Location of hotel is phenomenal and will be the cebter of activity when all is done there.

Review 131:We found gross stains on our pillows and a pill underneath our bed.

Review 132:The rooms are very modern and stylish!

Review 133:The unique attributes

Review 134:Train station is busy!

Review 135:Fun, funky room!
