Reviews for Fawlty Towers Motel

Review 1:Leaving !

Review 2:Location with Nolan's Irish Bar nearby. Ron John's 24/7 massive Surf Shop next door for everything except food. Pharmacy, Supermarket, Diner, IHOP, McDonalds etc. and Dinasoar Shop nearby. Short walk to beautiful beach and Pier. Short drive distance to Space Center and Museums.

Review 3:Room was old and tired with old appliances and worn bathroom fittings. The bathroom door was broken at the bottom on the inside and scrapped the floor when opening.

Review 4:Excellent location for the beach and Cocoa Beach attractions

Review 5:Rooms could use some updating. Carpet needs replacing

Review 6:Ideal location, short walk to beach, shopping Pool area was perfect. Lots of lounges, tables with umbrellas

Review 7:Very good location, close enought to the beach and restaurants - right in front of a Pizza Hut if you like it. The apartments were clean and everything worked fine.

Review 8:Tiny bathroom. Steps dangerous- uneven. TV remote didn't work properly. Would not stay again. Staff couldn't give names of restaurants within walking distance, & gave us incorrect information . Staff not attentive.

Review 9:Location. Pool area looked inviting.

Review 10:Next door to and "adult" store. Beds were horribly uncomfortable. The room smelled awful. Various people were arguing and cursing loud enough to be heard in our room. Checked in at 11PM, left at 3:30am to catch a flight. An awful end to an amazing vacation.

Review 11:Staff was very nice and apologetic with our experience.

Review 12:Found cockroaches in my room. Went to the reception, got another room directly, that's ok, but the first thing I see is again... cockroach! Another room, no cockroaches seen there, but room was not clean at all. Will never go back.

Review 13:The pool was very nice.

Review 14:My late wife & I stayed there in 2002 and one of the perks was a VCR with Faulty Towers shows on it. I feel that your only competitive advantage over the other motels in the area is the "Faulty Towers" relationship. If you purchased some Faulty Towers DVDs (Amazon has the complete collection for about $35) and put in DVD players in each room, you could let customers get a copy for a $45 deposit that is completely refunded when they leave. Should they want to keep the DVD set, you have their $45 and can buy a replacement. You also use the excess to offset the cost of the DVD Players. This results in no loss to you and many happy customers who will promote your motel for you because of your "Faulty Towers" marketing nitch. You could do the same thing with some of the lesser cost Faulty Towers DVDs (priced as low as $3.50 on Amazon) and have a lesser deposit and return/keep policy as above.

Review 15:the room didn't have any kitchen set: namely refrigerator etc. even thought the hotel wasn't fully booked, the room given was the smallest (the only one without terrace). the justification given was that the rate gained on booking.com was low therefore they had to provide me with the smallest room. i personally didn't like this rationale, though i understand the policy.

Review 16:location was good and the swimming pool very nice. wifi connection good

Review 17:I have no complaints about this motel, its staff or accommodations.

Review 18:Very clean room, comfortable, good location, great value for the money. The kitchenette is adequate with small refrigerator/freezer, microwave and stove. Staff helpful and friendly. The pool area is fantastic. The beach is about a 3 minute walk from the motel. Beautiful flowers surround the motel. It is an older motel but enjoyed this one as much as any I have stayed in including more expensive hotels. I would recommend this motel if you want a good value, My family is thinking about renting several rooms and having a reunion with friends here.

Review 19:Terraces are connected one another so people can easily come through the door if not locked.

Review 20:Spacious room. Swimming pool nice and open til midnight. 5 min walk to Cocoa Beach, 10 min to pier.

Review 21:The rooms was clean with a tile floor which is always a plus at the beach. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed having a ceiling fan. Pool area was beautiful with lots of tropical plants. Overall a good experience

Review 22:Outside appearance, bedding as in blanket foamy feel horrible. Too expensive for what was on offer. Balconies were not separate so anyone could walk right along. Also non smoking room but smoking allowed on balcony which was a problem as to previous sentence. Didn't feel safe.

Review 23:It was only for 1 night.

Review 24:We especially loved the pool area, The pool was clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to all local shops and attractions.

Review 25:Phone did not work and was never fixed during our 3 day stay. Had to ask for clean sheets and towels. Bed was horrible! Mattress was nasty! I bought my own sheets and blankets.

Review 26:We prefer to stay at smaller motels when we travel especially at the beach. No pricey condos for us - we enjoy the small mom-and-pop is so much homier! We greatly enjoyed our short stay and will definitely be back next time we are in Cocoa Beach!

Review 27:The place is modest and could use an update. The room had a very pungent cleaning product smell about it and the bathroom reeked of sulphur. Some of the other clientele appeared quite sketchy (groups of teenage males congregating in the parking lot, one man who appeared to be urinating on an outside wall). We felt very uncomfortable and even put chairs in front of our door and glass slider for extra protection.

Review 28:The room was clean and the desk staff was friendly. The pool area was lovely even though we didn't get a chance to use it.

Review 29:nothing really, everything was fine, only parking a little concerning, but nothing you can really do about the space allowed

Review 30:privacy and staff were very friendly and helpful, decided to stay one more night girls front office made it so we didn't have to change rooms

Review 31:tiki bar was not in service but you could bring your own and hang out there which we did and had funit was somewhat run down and had holes in the ceiling

Review 32:we had a deluxe king on the second floor great view overlooking the pool and the tiki bar with tropical landscapingwalking distance from everything you need

Review 33:bed blankets and sheets has holes made me feel like I was cheap 2 hour motel pillows were very uncomfortable bathroom really needs to be cleaner and update it

Review 34:Phone didn't work, Remote to TV didn't work. Tv went completely out the 1st morning we were there. The manager of the property was argumentative when confronted with these issues. We ended up leaving that day and canceling the rest of our time there. They did give us a refund for the remaining days

Review 35:Great location but that is it!

Review 36:The beds are hard as boards. We could never figure out how to work the tv. I couldn't deal with the tiles floors.

Review 37:It was a short walk to the beach and the pool was nice.

Review 38:The shower broke and flooded our entire room...electronics were ruined and our clothes were soaked...they moved us to a new room and did wash and dry our clothes for us.

Review 39:It was close to the beach and restaurants and had a nice pool...not a lot of people which was nice

Review 40:Smell, smokers by the pool outside the room, run down, seedy area at night during spring break, old air conditioners on the ground outside our room, mattress looked ancient, windows and screens dirty all for $170

Review 41:The fact that there were kids taking over the pool area all day every day we were there...but the beach was a short walk away!

Review 42:The location is prime! Right in the heart of shops and bars/restaurants and the beach! It was a small, quaint place and clean. Cute tropical pool area too'

Review 43:Beds were sticky floors sticky smelled an room was dirty our blankets were so gross that they brang us new ones after I showed them the burn hole an sexual stains on the blankets. They had to come in fix the TV an refused to refund my money. We had people on both side of use up till 4am we as a family didn't feel safe.

Review 44:Nothing

Review 45:Very close to the beach and central to most of Florida coast so was Ideal for us.Pizza hut opposite and the Sandbar is close too do some great seafood meals, stores all easy reach, clean place and good facilities

Review 46:It's set back from the sea on a conjunction of roads and seemed a bit tired and seedy when we first arrived with a lurid pink and blue paint job. In fact, it was fine and reasonably cheap

Review 47:The room was large and clean. The beds were large and comfortable. When we were there, there was a very large noisy wedding that partied into the wee small hours and occupied the bar area, smoking and singing. But clearly enjoying themselves.

Review 48:Bathroom door was broken when we arrived and wouldn't shut without effort. Would have been an easy fix. Needed top hinge removed and moved to a different spot screws were pulled out.

Review 49:Cool little place very close to the beach and a few shops within walking distance. If your looking for a great place for the money this is it. All the staff was very friendly throughout the week. Would recommend to anyone.

Review 50:Booking,..com failed to fax our on line reservation, caused some confusion, but hotel personnel figured it out for us.

Review 51:They worked very hard to find our reservation, which had. It been faxed to them from booking.com. He found it on their website, he worked 20 minutes tondifurenit out, and gave us our room. Very nice people.

Review 52:the tropical courtyard around the pool was amazing and sheltered . along with the clubhouse and each room had chairs and a small table outside on the courtyard side.

Review 53:Had to walk around hotel to get to entrance from parking lot. One way toget in to court yard. Long wait for hot water. No tissues in unit, noopen electric outlets, lay out of unit furiture poor. Light in bath roomhad to be on for outlet to work.

Review 54:Near a lot of sites.

Review 55:NO POOL. NOISEY NEIGHBORS COULD BE HEARD CLEARLY BECAUSE WE DIDN'T HAVE THE AIR OR HEAT RUNNING TO DROWN OUT.

Review 56:LOCATION WAS GOOD FOR OUR PURPOSE. STAFF IMMEDIATELY RESOLVED OUR SHOWER ISSUE. REASONABLE RATE FOR COCOA.

Review 57:The lesson for me was to simply be prepared to pay out more and go for better accomodation.

Review 58:The location was convenient enough. The night watchman was kind and helpful. Although we arrived very late that wasn't a problem.

Review 59:We didn't have anything to complain about and we wanted to stay longer!!! Although, it would be great to have the Tiki bar open, just to further add to the enjoyment!

Review 60:The quirky and authentic Florida beach appearance of the motel convinced us to stay. The distance to the beach and other facilities (I.e. Surf shops/restaurants) is fantastic and around a 1 minute walk to the beach. The room was clean, fresh and had a beach hut style, which was real sweet. Leading outside of every room, there are personal chairs onlooking the surrounding palm trees and flowers. More importantly, the rooms view of the pool area! There's a really relaxing feel to the outdoor section, we really enjoyed being out by the pool, which is just the right size for a cool off in the sun! Staff were really acomadating and approachable, even informing us on places to visit. Also, there is a convenient car park outside the rooms. We checked out at 11 and asked if it was okay to stay by the pool so we could have our lunch and there was no problem with this request! We only had a short visit but Cocoa Beach is such a relaxing, laid back and beautiful place to visit and we would definitely return and spend more time at the motel!!! Thanks!

Review 61:As English we were fascinated by the name but we were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation we even stay wd an extra night.the English lady owner was very charming and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 62:Loved this place. Small and welcoming. Easy parking. Shops and beach vlose ny. Room opens up onto pool area. Quaint tiki bar - bring your own drinks. Sounds like it had some wild times in the past. The owner chatted at the bar into the night.

Review 63:Didn't have a remote to switch channels. Adult swim anime got old pretty quick. Couldn't see the pool due to trees in the way, and people out drinking by the pool all night.

Review 64:Balcony, privacy. Ac unit.

Review 65:The rooms were dated. The mattresses were mediocre at best. Because of its location to the bus stop the parking lot needs better security

Review 66:The pool area was a nice secure little oasis which would surprise travelers having seen only the outside area.

Review 67:No fridge ,no counter in bathroom. Back balconies are connected

Review 68:Good big bed, secure courtyard.rear balcony. Close to the beach and Ron Jon's surf shop. Near 7-11.

Review 69:that didn't have microwave or a small fridge.

Review 70:The staff was very courteous and ready to help with whatever needs we had. A great group of ladies! Thumbs up.

Review 71:Aircon can be a little noisy. We stayed in August so the aircon was working hard.

Review 72:Excellent facility for overnight stop. VERY close to beach and Ron Jon Surf Shop. Would choose again if I stayed longer in Cocoa Beach.

Review 73:I wouldn't consider it elegant as described in website, but nice and functional. Our AC was very loud. The rooms were ok but really needed some repairs and cleaning - minor improvements could really elevate it. I understand it is an expensive area for hotels, but this was not the cheapest. And the things it needs are not expensive, just needing attention - like a bunch of dead hanging baskets around court. A pool side large tiki bar was pretty & neatly designed but leaked a lot in rain. It had a few tables w/chairs (both very dirty) available for guest to bring in their own stuff which was neat. However, there were bags of laundry (clean) that they were working on, laying on the bar - this was on a weekend with the most guests we had seen. It felt more like someone's house - but not in the good way. Hopefully they will consider this constructive criticism. Mostly it seemed a little neglected. Sad because there was much I liked and it has such great potential. I might stay again but mostly based on other hotel rates at time.

Review 74:Love that is virtually Non-smoking. Layout of the property is a great design. Location is great, we walked to the beach. Room entrance is inside the court, feels safe and private. Pool and outdoor court area is nice with lots of vegetation. All of the staff was really super, including cleaning ladys and owners. I liked the tile floor instead of carpet, but it needed cleaning.

Review 75:Facility outdated. Advertised as a resort, but the sign says it all. It's an old motel. Front office girl, short and borderline rude.

Review 76:Reasonably clean. OK WiFi.

Review 77:double vs queen bed

Review 78:location flexible with late arrival didn't get to tiki bar, but probably like the ability to relax 'at home base'.

Review 79:Bathroom is small.

Review 80:The motel is close to the beach all shops. A small and nice pool and a free parking area are available.

Review 81:bathroom wasn't clean and carpeting was dirty

Review 82:location close to beach and Ron Jon's

Review 83:Smelly room

Review 84:AC was very noisy, difficult to sleep.

Review 85:Location close to the beach

Review 86:Washbasin sink blocked in bathroom. Room smelt of cigarette smoke. Coffee machine dirty. Room tired needs facelift.

Review 87:Location was great

Review 88:Free parking, clean and nice, pool, fast free wifi

Review 89:Customer service

Review 90:The beach access

Review 108:Good location

Review 109:Staff not friendly

Review 110:For the price you can't go wrong

Review 111:The room was dirty and blankets had blood on them.

Review 112:Do needs up to date tv's & radio for music and a little refrigerator kinda smallest one!

Review 113:Bathroom (not much room)

Review 114:The pool and self serve Bar

Review 115:The room smelt bad, there was a cigarette burn in my bed spread, the grounds were overgrown

Review 116:The location

Review 118:I liked the price.
