Review 1：There was no hot water, the television did not work, the floor was slanted so the doors would not open completly and when I asked to switch to a different room I was refused

Review 3：Old,doors were like a closet door did not feel safe. Because it was cold had floor heaters electricity kept going off. Left hotel for few hours to warm up and they had it fixed. Did not sleep very well for fear of fire safety. Was over priced for October. Would never stay there again unless major updates done.

Review 7：It's a vintage hotel in decent shape. The staff were friendly, the pool was clean and great to take a dip in after a day on the beach. The bed was comfortable and all else was fine. The room is small and we didn't mind as we were there for the beach.
Review 8：I had to go up three flights of stairs and I am 64 years old with a bad back. So that was kind a hard for me. They had awful coffee and no breakfast.

Review 16：the hotel allowed us to check in early so we were able to unpack and enjoy the afternoon sun.and beach. the room was very clean and looked out on the beach and ocean. the balcony was great for sitting in the early AM and evening. the hotel was right in the middle of all the action and we could sit on our balcony and see the Wednesday night Fireworks display.

Review 23：It was very close to the ocean. The staff was very accommodating for us. We traveled with my Father in law who has the beginning stages of dementia. He got very confused on were he was and the staff help him. Unfortunately due to the circumstances we had to leave the first night of our 3 day stay. Because it was 11PM when we left the gentleman at the desk was very concerned for our drive home. He help us carry our bags out to the car. We will go back!!!

Review 44：The carpet was smelly, and gross, needed a good cleaning, there was stuff under all the beds, toy figurines, dust bunnies, other people's garbage. It was very loud at night, could hear other people's conversations and toilets flushing. We had plumbing issues, but they would not loan us a plunger. They forgot to clean our room. And tow of our beds vibrated in the night, like maybe they were using a washer or dryer and it happens to vibrate on a particular beam in the building...???? We were under the impression we were getting a room with a balcony...we were stuck in the alley, no balconey.
Review 45：The pool was very clean! The motel was very close to the beach and everything is walking distance. They always had ice, and did not make you pay extra for it, like allot of places we have stayed in H.Be.
Review 46：It was noisy early in the morning with the sound of the trash trucks and street sweepers but it was to be expected staying right on the Boardwalk. Could have been easily solved by closing balcony door but we preferred it open to see and smell the beach.
Review 47：This hotel was very clean. It was nice and quiet inside, walking into the Lobby it felt like you were walking into another world from the noisy boardwalk. The management was very nice and responded immediately to a parking issue.
Review 48：Our room was damp and smelly, the rug needed a shampoo, the plumbing was not working properly, we had to ask 2x to have our room cleaned. There were loud noises in the night and the beds vibrated, possibly from a washing machine or dryer?? You could hear other residents flushing the toilets. We thought when we booked we were getting a balcony and we did not, that was very disappointing!! We could have booked a room through the Hotel for less $$ and got a balcony room..... :-(

Review 63：The convenience of the location to the beach and boardwalk is its major selling point. Its not a room service, paper at your door in the morning kind of place but, for a place to lay your head at night its neat, clean and the lobby is inviting.

We were told there was not enough room for a crib in the queen room, but there was definitely room for a pack n play!!

Old bedding (we brought a comforter from home and placed in on top of theirs and slept on top), tiny bathroom, pool needed to be cleaned so my hubby grabbed the available tools and did a quick clean himself. It really needs an update and some new bedding!

Review 74：How closely they watch you and your guest every time you go in and out, even through the cameras. I felt I had eyes on me from the minute I parked. They watched every one on those cameras too closely and made my stay uncomfortable. They charged extra per guest for the same exact room.

Review 85：The proprietor was a little rude when I inquired about a room on the 2nd floor instead of the 3rd.I brought my elderly Mom there for an overnight stay at the beach and hadn't realized there wasn't an elevator. She has difficulty walking and uses a cane. We had to slowly make it up 3 flights which was painful for my mom. I asked if there was any chance of getting switched to the 2nd or 1st floor and the gentleman "barked" "We're booked solid! you should have asked when you made reservation!" Also the shower had mold in the corners. Otherwise it was enjoyable for the price.

We didn't stay long, just 2 nights so it was OK with us...The worse thing was parking behind the Hotel! The place is so narrow that we couldn't open the door of the driver...or the passenger...also "blocked" the passengers door of the other gest car. . Also to get anything from our truck would be a problem.. if you are less slender person.
Review 88：Room and bathroom are very clean, staff helpful and polite. Location is very good, right across the street from the ocean end the beach. It is a main street with all the restaurants and other places to eat and do your shopping for souvenirs. There was a nice balcony with "side view" of the ocean which is even better than the "front view" because it is a quieter street.

Review 99：The whole place is old and dirty and the smell both in and out of the rooms is disgusting. The beds are old, the carpets are gross and blackened with filth, and everything is grimy. There were even ants on the fridge! Beer caps left on the floor in our room when we went in. No one with any dignity should stay there. Management has no pride in ownership and the property shows it.

Review 101：The room we had was nothing like you see on the web site. Our room was in a clusted corner.There were three doors right beside each other so it was indeed close quarters. The view from our window was the side of another building. The door to our room had a two inch gap at the bottom so we had to stuff a towel in the gap to block the light and noise. The bathroom floor went down hill so the door would get stuck. Very old fixtures in the bathroom. Parking was a little sketchy also. When we got there we parked in a space on the side street by the hotel. When we registered the employee said we were in the wrong space and that someone was in our parking space. I figured we'd just swop but no we had to park across the street.Just a disappointing experience.

Review 105：It was quiet and being right on Ocean Blvd, I didn't know what to expect for my first time ever going to Hampton Beach! The room smelled very fresh and clean, no stale smoke smell from days gone by..... I would recommend this hotel to any couple or family. I requested a quiet room and that is what I got, very happy with my stay. Parked my Mercedes in the designated parking spot/lot and it was completely safe and easy to get to.
Review 106：Old hotel, very expensive...we were 4 and had a surprised extra charged for the 4th person. But we had booked for 4 and nothing mentioned about that. The owner explained to us that it is like that for all the hotels...hummm...not sure i believe this story. It was not a big amount but this comes with the entire booking experience...it is just a principal for me of being clear between a client and hotel.

Our friends were not allowed past the front lobby not even for a minute. I understand if we were trying to sneak them in to stay there, but they couldn't even walk to the room with us. This was not noted in the booking at all, it was written in a contract we had to sign upon arrival. Sneaky. They did not provide "do not disturb" signs.
