Reviews for Quality Inn Denver Central
Review 1:Moldy Shower Vent right in your face. Wanted to move but hotel charged entire stay at reservation and made getting refund very very difficult.
Review 2:Location
Review 3:The entire hotel reaked of pot smoke. Even with the updates the shower had significant mold. The room was extremely too hot. Appeared as if the AC/Heater Unit not working properly. Just turned it off to sleep. Beds uncomfortable and to mention!! Sheets had not been changed between guests!! Coffee stain and pillows had smell of dirty hair!!!
Review 4:Staff extremely nice and helpful
Review 5:Hated the fact I could not have the ac going! very hot in the room and very uncomfortable because of the heat.
Review 6:The breakfast was the best part of the stay. keep that up!
Review 7:our room was pretty run down and HOT. The furnace was broken. We had to be moved to the 4th floor which was a lot nicer. Ask for the 4th floor if you go here but, don't expect a lot...
Review 8:The location was about 5 miles from the stadium
Review 9:Location isn't the best. It's out of the way. And by it self. But only a quick drive to most popular points in Denver.
Review 10:This hotel was surprisingly better than I was expecting. Awesome staff! Front desk gal at check in was great! Shuttle service alone makes this hotel stay worth it!! Shuttle to the game and downtown, we didn't need a rental after all. Plus free breakfast, and free wifi!
Review 11:Our room was spacious and comfortable. All employees were polite and willing to assist if needed. The complementary breakfast good, offering several choices.
Review 12:Shuttle bus after the game was very unorganized! Staff told us to meet at tree but when they picked up people ran to be first across the street, cutting those of us that had been waiting, and staff loaded them. They need a better system.
Review 13:Fitness room was good to have when most hotels don't.
Review 14:The continental breakfast was fine but hot food was not great.
Review 15:Shuttle service downtown was very helpful. Staff and shuttle drivers very friendly and helpful. It made the trip a lot more fun. When we complained about the heat in one of our rooms, it was fixed promptly.
Review 16:The hissing noise of the vending machines in the corridor was a big turnoff. The noises of trains at 02:30 am was also terrible. The parking space had warnings of vehicle breakins and this didn't help either.
Review 17:Old but clean hotel. The beds are comfortable and the room was very tidy
Review 18:the heater was on full blast and wouldnt cool off even with the window cracked open, the shower was cold and hot and never was even in temperature, the door had a 2 inch gap between the bottom of the door and carpet, very noisy location and noisy room could hear people all night long.
Review 19:the fact i didn't have to sleep outside
Review 20:Half of the hotel was remodeled and I asked for an updated room but was told no because we had a dog. The continental breakfast really wasn't good.
Review 21:Was really easy to check in and the staff was really nice.
Review 22:I did not like that the bar was so expensive and that the 2 beers that we did get were expired. Had been expired since August. For 2 beers it was $10.
Review 23:I liked that the room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 24:The breakfast isn't great.
Review 25:The shuttle service is great (this really makes up for the location). This hotel was great value, our stay was around 1/3 of the prices in downtown Denver. The hotel was clean, and the staff were very helpful.
Review 26:They put us in a non-smoking room, even though we asked for a smoking room, when booking the hotel. The location is not good, but we figured that everything in Denver doesn't have a good location, everything seems too far from each other.
Review 27:The wifi actually works, the beds are really big and the breakfast is delicious!
Review 28:The heat in the room would not turn off, very warm throughout the night. We had to open our room window.
Review 29:Shuttle service to locations in Denver, free breakfast, free wi fi. Staff was very helpful.
Review 30:very little, the entire hotel was in 70's era deco, breakfast was fair but not HOT, hard to locate and get into, room was musty, pillows were worthless. If you must stay here be sure to specify a room not facing Interstate 25 or you'll be listing to semi's all night,
Review 31:I cannot really criticize it for the money you pay, it is a good deal. However, our room was a smoking one although we don't smoke, that was the deal we got from booking.com. The room was soo stinky. Moreover, the whole hotel smells like smoke. On top of that, since our room on the 9th floor, the room was always cold and the heater was making so much noise that several times we got scared that it was going to explode and turned it off. The breakfast is not healthy and it is exactly what you paid for.
Review 32:The price is good.
Review 33:The heating was a bit weak, but I got an extra movable heater to complement the central heating, so it was fine.
Review 34:The staff is very pleasant, room large and comfortable, breakfast plentiful and tasty.
Review 35:The maids didn't clean our room. We left the room at 11 am and no one cleaned by the time we came back at 4 pm.
Review 36:Room was large, bed was very comfortable, shower was good, breakfast was very nice. Staff was very helpful.
Review 37:There were not enough vans when we needed to be picked up. We had to spend a lot of money on Taxis to get home from the convention center.
Review 38:The breakfast was excellent, it was always fresh and hot. The staff was helpful and friendly. Albert, one of the drivers was exceptionally pleasant and helpful.
Review 39:Liked the breakfast, its buffet style. Nice room for the price. Loved how the shuddle picked us to and from hotel. Let water run in shower until it gets warm or you will freeze. Overall great experience. It has a bar as well. Village inn is next door
Review 40:I didn't like that the shower had mold on it and the drain plug to the tub would not stay down so couldn't take a bath. I also didn't like the fact that I could smell probably pot smoke everywhere on are floor.
Review 41:The view was very nice.
Review 42:No fridges in the bedroom, I was carrying certain eye medication that needed a fridge to prolong life. They've been tossed away now. There was no air conditioning in the room as it was turned off for the winter season. I still found it quite hot in the rooms. Our room hadn't been vacuumed on our arrival. I'd suppose that this could pass off over the length of our stay but at least could have been vacuumed on arrival.
Review 43:Free shuttle buses and the arcade games room. Drivers were great and got us reasonably to where we wanted to be. Were great for the NFL game. Bathroom was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was better than some hotels I've stayed at.
Review 44:The room was absolutely filthy, stains on lamp shades?! Dead bugs on the window sill!? Rust and stains dripping from the wall!? A bath tub that you would need a shower after if u dared to use, and let's not mention the stains on the bed, chair, and floor. I apologize for this review but this facility really needs much improvement and cleaning. I was thankful to have been able to check out receive a refund and find a more suitable hotel for a much cheaper price in a more populated location.
Review 45:The staff was very considerate and refunded me right away.
Review 46:Not a lot of food choices very close
Review 47:The staff is very accommodating and friendly they wanted us to enjoy our stay...which we did I will stay there again
Review 48:Location..Very close (3-4 miles) to downtown Denver area. Easy to drive to almost any place in Denver one would most likely need to go while visiting the city. Although there is a shuttle run by the Hotel to 16th st mall, for all practical purposes one would preferably need to have a vehicle in my opinion. Breakfast was included in the rent and options/quality of food was quite satisfactory. There were a small fridge and a microwave which could be useful. We were visiting Denver for attending a conference in Downtown, so did not spend much time in the hotel itself. Nonetheless, great location for the price and comfortable stay. Friendly Staffs at reservation/check-in counter. No hassle. Enjoyed our stay for three nights and will return if we are back in the area.
Review 49:The arrangement of shuttle bus was problematic. I had to wait nearly one hour once.
Review 50:This is very value for money with a large space of the room, complementary hot breakfast and free shuttle bus to the downtown.
Review 51:we were told that we would be picked up by the shuttle after the football game and were told where to be located. In our group of 8, we made 4 phone calls for the shuttle, each time being told to stand just where we were. We were never picked up...we waited over an hour and saw one shuttle that was full by the time it went by us. We finally took a taxi back to the hotel.
Review 52:Shuttle service to Mile High Stadium; convenience from airport, free parking
Review 53:We had to change the room initially assigned as it had a smell of smoking although it was in a non-smoking floor!
Review 54:Shuttle service provided to CBD and back, on an hourly basis. Restaurant facilities. Comfortable beds.
Review 55:This place is dingy and dirty. At check in, I got the wrong room, had to change rooms to an "ugraded" room, that had a dirty bathroom and the sheets weren't clean. When requesting items such as a shower cap and toothpaste, they weren't available. Was just disappointing as my first experience in Denver.
Review 56:The mimosa that the staff made that morning for breakfast. Also enjoyed the breakfast potatoes
Review 57:The staff was very helpful when i complained about a nasty cigarette smell coming from the room next to ours when we where on the non-smoking floor. The blankets where clean and the pillows fluffed we had a very nice stay. THANKS
Review 58:The lack of restaurants near by- there was only 1, did not work 4 me. Hotel resturant food not satisfactory. I had sheets & towels that were stained. Wasn't the best stay necessarily but staff was great. Price was decent.
Review 59:I could have used more availability to downtown on my own. Quality was excellent with their shuttle service though. They don't pick up at airport, public transportation is available though.
Review 60:Bar wasn't open late enough. Last call at 11:00 .
Review 61:The employees are always nice. This was my fourth time staying here. The shuttle service is always great park your vehicle go to games or concerts and have few beverages. Don't have to worry about driving or traffic hassles.
Review 62:The rooms we very cold and the thermostat did not work properly in either room. We stayed at this property on two separate days over the weekend. Saturday and Monday. We tried to turn up the heat but in the end, turned the AC off and ordered extra blankets which came within 5 min of calling the front desk. The elevators had an overwhelming smell of cleaning solvent. The outdoor pool was closed and looked like it had not been open for awhile.
Review 63:The Staff was very friendly.
Review 64:I knew you can smoke pot in colorado. Personally i have no problem with that (being young and from europe).but in my room on top 9th floor..around 3am..when i went to bathroom i could hardly see through all the thick.pot smoke fog. It smelled really bad. I cant say i enjoyed my stay because i woke up too grumpy and mad after couple of hours of uneven sleep
Review 65:Easy to find. Parking Breakfast Staff
Review 66:The whole hotel smells like smoke and cigarettes and there is carpet everywhere. The room didn't smell but sometimes it came from the vent
Review 67:Spacious parking lot, great staff, spacious clean rooms, good breakfast, fast spacious elevators
Review 68:bathroom not clean , serving poor and grill over air conditioning loose and rattled, couldn't get it fixed, ended up doing it ourselves, same applies to curtain not connected to rail properly
Review 69:front of house staff were responsive, restaurant was reasonably priced and had quite tasty food.
Review 70:Restaraunt staff were useless. Shower was broken and only gave lukewarm showers. We told them of this and the repair man came the morning we were checking out (we were there 3 nights) rooms weren't serviced once while we were there.
Review 71:The free breakfast was great. Good variety and abundance. The free shuttle to the downtown was so convenient and easy to arrange back. Front office staff were helpful and friendly.
Review 72:When we first tried to check in the young lady behind the counter was very rude and the only issues we had w/the room was the tub did not drain very well.
Review 73:The shuttle service, breakfast included w/stay and free wifi.
Review 74:Torn curtains in the room - blood in the elevator. Heat for the room was turned off centrally - so the only room air was cold. It's owned/operated by a franchisee - so complaints made on site were simply ignored. I wouldn't stay here again if it was the last hotel room in town.
Review 75:The location was convenient for my business meetings.
Review 76:Part of the parking lot was closed, so had trouble finding a spot.
Review 77:Liked the shuttle...very convenient way to get downtown and to Coors field & back.convenient full breakfast, nice view from 8th floor. Easy to get to Highland area, I70 etc
Review 78:The floor that we were on had smoking across the hall even though there was a sign that said the whole floor was nonsmoking. My husband is an asthmatic and we could smell smoke in our room all night
Review 79:There are gaps between the bottom of the room doors and the floor so you could hear some hallway noise and we did have some noise from the interstate where we were at. Breakfast was so-so.
Review 80:For the price and location, it was great. We went for the Taylor Swift concert at the Pepsi Center and most places were going for upwards of $200 dollars, while I only paid about $153 for 2 queen beds. We took the hotel's free shuttle straight to the Pepsi Center and walked a few blocks to eat sushi, went back to the Pepsi Center, attended the concert and then had the shuttle pick us up. We didn't have to try and navigate traffic ourselves. The beds were very comfy. I've stayed in plenty of hotels and I would say this was about middle of the road for me. I had a good stay.
Review 81:The only complaint that I had was the the front desk was understaffed.
Review 82:Overall it was a nice place and very good good value. My only problem was that the front desk was understaffed resulting in lengthy waits at check in and when having questions.
Review 83:We were given a room with ripped wall paper hanging off wall! It was very small and not clean nor updated. We complained and got a better room but sheets were old and rug etc not quality
Review 84:The shuttle to downtown Denver.
Review 85:Place was dirty and the non-smoking floor had lingering smoke smell. Took a long time to check in.
Review 86:Pretty close to Denver and to the freeway for someone just passing through.
Review 87:There isn't anything within walking distance of the hotel to interest most people. But the hotel organise a free shuttle bus downtown every hour from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.
Review 88:I have stayed here on three occasions. It's, comfortable, very good value for money and all the staff are great.
Review 89:The fact that we mentioned 2 times the contact high we cempt to of gotten when getting off the elevator on 9th floor. We were told it was not allowed however the towels under the door told the truth and yes we took pics to prove our point, we smoke but we dont put towels under the door for tabacco.the first night my wife had such a horrid migraine just from the smell. Your staff did nothing when this was brought to their attention other then saying " that isn't allowed but I'll let the manager know." when she went downstairs to get quarters to do a few loads of laundry, she ( lisa ) made a mention as to the problem again. Of course finding out that the desk clerk standing right beside the on site manager not telling the Manager about the issue was not good either. Our kids stayed on 2ed floor and you could smell it there as well and that was a no smoking floor. Employees were not really rude but had no motivation to be there. Ate downstairs 3 times. The first night for dinner then breakfast twice. Dinner was not pleasent. Waitstaff took 15 mins to eqknowledge we were there even tho there was a tall older gentleman manager directly behind us that stood there doing nothing at all. No hi, no how are you? Nothing. The only person that talked to us in the 2 days we stayed was a shorter polite female in charge of customer relations that we found very polite and showed she even cared to be there or that we were there. The only thing that got us towels when service came knocking was my wife spoke spanish. Come on guys, you charge enough, brought family to watch Rockies and Mets play, wifes team is Mets and sons was Rockie game was amazing but we cant say the same about your establishment.Regretfully will never promote any of your hotels or affiliates. Respectfully Mark Mann.
Review 90:Was easy to find after driving 900 plus miles.
Review 91:The breakfast buffet area is proportional small in my opinion to the amount of guest. The seating area is adequate but not the buffet area.
Review 92:Price and location off the highway.
Review 93:Bathroom was tired. Toilet was stained and went off at odd times. No mini fridge. Very hard to get anywhere, even with navigation. Odd, industrial location. Thin door, could hear all noises in the hall.
Review 94:Breakfast was good and varied. Clean room, good a/c unit. Very helpful staff. Very comfortable room!
Review 95:The water in shower would turn really hot unespectally was with my years old grandson and i was afraid that he would get burned so we had to take him baths so that we can make sure water wasn't too hot
Review 96:Breakfast was good and everything else was good-'just the water in water would turn very hot
Review 97:Overall good experience, but it took us three tried to get a room that didn't have terrible peeling wallpaper, and a closet door fixed with packing tape. The second didn't even have a shower curtain. But the staff made a wonderful effort to get us into an appropriate room!
Review 98:The shuttle was so convenient!
Review 99:The only room available was a smoking room. It was terrible. If that is the only room available next time we would look for a different place to stay. The cost was too high for the quality of the room and breakfast.
Review 100:We needed a room close to a class we were taking in the industrial section of Denver. The hotel was close to class with plenty of parking.
Review 101:I didn't like the breakfast started later than most other hotels we stayed in, because it hadn't started by the time we had to leave in the morning.
Review 102:We had been on the road for 18 days when we arrived, and this was the most comfortable bed we were in the whole trip. The man at the front desk, Douglas, was very nice and funny.
Review 103:the room wasn't too clean. There were stains on the sheets and some hairs as well. The carpet didn't seem too clean either. Some of the crowd staying at the hotel seemed shady. The location is alright if you have a car. If not, I'd really not recommend staying there.
Review 104:Very friendly and polite staff
Review 105:The doors make a lot of noise and there is a lot of echo from it. It really needs updated. The chairs in the hallways were dirty and I only found one working ice machine. I used the shuttle for concert at pepsi center. They almost left without us even though we reserved 2 seats at front desk and it wasn't set for departure for another 10 minutes, we also had to wait 30 minutes after concert and the shuttle was first come first serve. The location of hotel is convient but in a run down industrial area.
Review 106:They had a shuttle to downtown and event centers, breakfast was pretty good (eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, cereal, waffles). Beds were very comfortable. There is vending on every floor, a laundry room, and a couple computers with printers. Behind the counter they have a mini store with advil, chips, ect.
Review 107:This hotel is in an industrial area. If I had known this, I would not have chosen this facility. Our room was just OK. For some reason, we had no baseboards??????? I chose it for the price and distance from downtown. My advice, spend a little more and get a hotel in a better location that is updated and cleaner.
Review 108:The staff was pleasant and friendly.
Review 109:Very friendly staff. shuttle service was great and friendly drivers. Nice breakfast. Hotel stored our luggage and let us use shuttle service while attending conference at Pepsi center. Very comfortable room
Review 110:Some of the desk clerks were a little rude, wifi was spotty, and their strange system charged my card for something I didn't buy.
Review 111:Shuttle service was pretty good, and then breakfast was great.
Review 112:Nothing, just more variety for breakfast if possible. :) P.s green options for cutlery.
Review 113:Very professional and extremely accommodating. Loved the free shuttle!
Review 114:Nothing to do in vicinity. No shops of any kind nearby. One side of hotel looking directly on a busy highway. Nevertheless noise is not too annoying at night.
Review 115:Good breakfast, free shuttle on demand to different locations downtown every hour. Good bed. Good room service.
Review 116:Room was clean, well cooled during the summer heat, and the bed was very comfortable. Hotel is in a central location from just about any attraction worth seeing in Denver.
Review 117:My guest had trouble sleeping in the bed. I think she's just used to softer beds. Idk
Review 118:I loved the location. 15 min to water world. And easy to find the hotel from anywhere. I also love the look of the building. Stands out on the skyline.
Review 119:The hotel is right by a railroad track. a very loud train woke us up early am on Sunday morning.
Review 120:Free WiFi. I appreciated the staff trying to make changes when I complained.
Review 121:Smell of tobaco in the room. No duvet cover. We asked for additional bedsheet and they didn't bring it :( the poorest breakfast (no oatmeal,no cheese).
Review 122:Pool
Review 123:The bathroom fan didn't work. The light & clock radio had a short in it flicker light on / off static randomly room 615. The square pillows on the bed it took 4 days to flatten out to be comfortable.
Review 124:It was clean. It had a shuttle van to get to the city. It had breakfast . It had free wi-fi which was great could work from room. It had hot water, did not run out while showering.
Review 125:No maid service the last day. So.e front desk clerks we're pleasant and helpful, but a couple lacked in area.
Review 126:The bed was very comfortable, the fridge and coffee maker was nice and it was very clean.
Review 127:Waited two hours for the shuttle bus to come pick us up. Somehow more of a hassle than a convenience.
Review 128:Good location. Close to the best parts of the city.
Review 129:booked a double had to settle for a king. Chair in room belonged in the dump, very ragged and dirty. Bathtub drain had no handle as it was broke off. It was a 75 dollar room and we paid twice that. Rooms need work, ceiling badly stained. Room 910.
Review 130:They had smoking rooms. Great views.
Review 131:The fact that my room did not have a frigrator I had asked front desk if we can get one when we come back from eating they said they will but twenty mins later when we got back I called down and they said they didn't have no more so I had to keep ice in the bathroom sink sense I needed to keep milk cold for my one year old
Review 132:Smell of pot in the elevator, hallway, and occassionally in my nonsmokers room. Why not make this a nonsmoking hotel? The shuttle has cut back on destinations.
Review 133:Friendly staff, free breakfast and was plentiful, comfortable, good restaurant food, easy access to I-25 and I-70,and shuttle to several attractions.
Review 134:Bathroom tub had mold and a nasty stalactite grown long under the soap holder. GROSS.entrance way was cluttered. Glass table between the entrance and elevators almost got knocked over by my hubby. It was hard to see it when using a the luggage carts. The elevators were slippery from swimmers several times when I used it and slipped a few times. Rooms also had a very strange scent. Not appealing!
Review 135:Breakfast was the best and some of the staff was excellent and some not so good.
Review 136:Breakfast could have been better and could have been served later. Breakfast was over @ 9:30 a little early for those who are relaxing. They quit refilling items early.
Review 137:They had a courtesy shuttle to take us downtown that was nice. Waiting for pick up from shuttle during events can take awhile.
Review 138:The hotel had smoking floors as well as non smoking floors. We staying on floor 8 (non smoking) however the floor below us was a smoking floor. Since smoke rises, the entire floor, including our room, smell of smoke terrible
Review 139:Pet friend was a big convienence for us
Review 140:Cleanliness not at all. I have pictures. Room appeared to have beenwiped with a dirty cloth to just remove water spots. Soap stains andstreaks on everything no cleaner applied. Hairs and dirt stains allover room and shower when we arrived and after so called houskeepingservices. Desk which was clean when we left the room for the day hadthe same soap streaks from the bathroom sink and coffee area. So itseemed to have been wiped with the same cloth. Disgusting I would neverstay there again ever. No big deal I guess but the elevators had a foulsmell for the entire week we were there. On the upside it was betterthan a kennel.
Review 141:Not much some staff friendly some not very.
