Reviews for Belcaro Motel
Review 1:We didn't like sheets with holes in them. The bed was a bit soft. And the room needs two comfortable chairs, not just one.
Review 2:We liked the location. Access to restaurants and stores is great. And it was more quiet than we expected.
Review 3:No elevator to the 2nd floor so if you can't do stairs ask for the first floor.
Review 4:Staff is friendly although their English is not the best. The room has everything I needed--TV, fridge, microwave, air, plenty of towels. Got a discount after extending stay "off line." It's on a major street and not far from I-25.
Review 5:the room was ran down. Tiles and windows missing in bathroom. The shower head was short and small head w/ strong water pressure.
Review 6:the Location was close to work, restaurants, banks, etc.. The staff was very nice. The front desk was well kept and clean.
Review 7:Well its a dated building needs paint Part of bathroom was painted but around all the fixtures Cable wall connection was coming out of wall so cable was going in/out Thin walls u can hear everything Ceiling wet spot paint pealing Furniture needs vaccuming crumbs in cushions Every other light fixture burnt out Slow drain in bathroom shower and sink
Review 8:Loxation Soft bed Great selection of cable channels Digital music channels Internet speed Tall mini frig in room Quick hot water for shower
Review 9:Bathrooms are not small, they're tiny. Didn't care to see the roach crawling on the wall my second night there. But that was the only one.
Review 10:Not a bad little motel. Plenty of parking, centrally located for my purposes.
Review 11:Ceiling needs finishing so patches don't show. Little inserts by glass blocks need scraping and painting. Looks tacky!
Review 12:Convenient to downtown, free ways. Sound minimal from very busy street. Staff was accommodating, even when the air unit was being funky! Nice bathroom with tub mat. Very important to me!
Review 13:Wifi went in and out sometimes, no breakfast
Review 14:In perfect location on S. Colorado close to many shopping centers and food locations, bus line directly in front. My wife and I stayed here for 13 days while waiting to move into our new apartment, the young couple that owns the place was awesome and informative when we asked about surroundings.
Review 15:Staff was a little odd at front desk. Looked ate like I was crazy when I said I had a reservation - not the friendliest staff.
Review 16:Location is great and within walking distance of places to eat
Review 17:First, how does my rating come to 4.2 should be a 1. Free wi fi how about no wifi and they care they wouldnt answer phone has to walk to office. Only readon i stopped there was to get work done and needed wi fi. Was told my room was to far away and they did not care. Other then that it was a dump.
Review 18:Nothing
Review 19:I left the room late every day and put the "Maid Service Requested" sign on the door but when I returned the room hadn't been touched.
Review 20:The room was clean and the front desk was very helpful. Very reasonably priced for the quality.
Review 21:After being on the road for 3 weeks, any bed and shower would have been wonderful. This place provided both of these in fine condition, so overall I was pleased.
Review 22:The sheets have seen better days. There were some holes apparently burned in the fitted sheet on our bed.
Review 23:The location was good for what we were looking for and it's affordably priced. They also let us check out a little later so we could shower after we ran a race. Staff was very friendly.
Review 24:The rooms have paper thin walls, we could hear every little thing. When trying to check out at 10:30 there was no staff around so I had to go grab one of the maintenance ladies and she disappeared for 10 minutes before I finally got help.
Review 25:Good location.
Review 26:The desk people were very friendly. The man who checked me in remembered I mentioned going the zoo, and asked me about it at checkout. Great location.
Review 27:The motel is on a busy street and it's very noisy! Hard to sleep at night
Review 28:Close to downtown, botanical garden, many restaurants are within walking distance
Review 29:Very helpful owner, who gave us a good restaurant recommendation nearby. Large room, clean, not too noisy. 30 minutes from the airport, ideal for a quick stopover on the way.
Review 30:Not much. The bed wasn't first class comfortable, but it was fine. TV was large enough to see with good reception. Location was perfect for us as we were there to go to VA for appt next am.
Review 31:Our room was very nice with a king bed when I thought I had reserved a queen:). Some of the furniture appeared to be used when purchased, but it was all clean and very comfortable. Included frig and microwave and very nice bathroom. Owners were very hospitable.
Review 32:There was an HBO brochure on the night stand but we could not find the channel.
Review 33:The staff was very courteous and efficient. My requirements were a clean room (have bad allergies) with a fridge, microwave, WiFi, and decent beds. This is a very economical choice if your needs are modest.
Review 34:Every hour you hear BASS from some fool blasting their music stuck at the Stoplight. Too close to the main Road. S. Colorado. Sirens every few hours. Shower head wonderful height... it you are 5'3. Door doesn't close easily so other guests slam them all night long. You get the bane of society next to you. Nowhere to throw away garbage. I don't want my room cleaned daily thank you.
Review 35:Employees. Bed not bad. Price can't be beat in Denver that isn't Motel 6 which are always dumps w/tacked on fees.
Review 36:Wasn't told til after I paid, An extra $50 for 2 nights because of the "Holiday" reserved for a few days later online & I will pay less. Other tenants for the most part need to be avoided. Get what you pay for.
Review 37:Bed very comfortable. Decent sized Flat Screen TV. Owners very personable.
Review 38:They cover the basics - comfortable bed, clean room, nicely kept bathroom. If you care about the little niceties, like a coffeemaker in your room or updated furnishings , go elsewhere.
Review 39:Paint was falling off walls, lamps were janky. This place also has bed bugs I got 5 different bites. Couldnt sleep because the peole next to me were loud. Also the tweaker at the bottom of the stairs was taking to herself. I didn't feel safe leaving my room due to the creepy guys outside.
Review 40:Was charged for extra night, even though reservation was timely updated. But, refund was quickly given, within 24 hours of issue being addressed with staff.
Review 41:Immediately after booking they charged my card for one night, and then upon arrival charged me for the two nights we stayed there. I didn't notice and now can't get in touch with them. Noone answers emails either.
Review 42:It served it's purpose as a room with beds for sleeping.
Review 43:Lack of windows/views (we overlooked an alley and someone's driveway & backyard). The TV's sound kept going in and out.
Review 44:The bathroom was updated and so the shower was very nice, strong water pressure. The bed was comfy. Good for the price.
Review 45:This was our second stay. The room smelled sour. The chair was very stained. We searched for an outlet and pulled out the night stands and found behind one used Q-tips and behind the other some chicken bones. It needs to be better maintained.
Review 46:The location was very central to where we needed to go. Lots of restaurants. Friendly staff.
Review 47:The only exception to the cleanliness of the room was the upholstered chair which was stained. The man at the desk wouldn't allow to talk when I tried to explain my booking.
Review 48:Our room was super clean! The linens and pillows were new, comfy bed. Plenty of hot water and good pressure in shower. Very convenient to have a small fridge and microwave in room. Great value! I have paid a lot more for much less.
Review 49:Colorado blvd is very busy, so if one doesn't like a lot of traffic, it might be better to find back roads to drive on like we did.
Review 50:The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was wonderful! The bed was very comfy and the tv had lots of channels to watch. I liked the free wi-fi, as well.
Review 51:It's an old run-down place. The reviews said it was clean, etc, but I wouldn't say that at all. I guess it is as clean as they can keep it at this point. Carpets stained and gross to walk on, stained pillowcase, and the room just smelled honestly. Shower needed to be redone as well. I think it's the people that stay there that have run the place down. A lot of noise too. I should've paid an extra $25 and gotten a decent room somewhere else. Where I come from, you can get a really decent room for $75. Anyway, I wouldn't do it again, and I was tricked by the good reviews I saw...hopefully this helps someone else take a decision.
Review 52:It was the cheapest I could find in Denver that had decent reviews. Location was great.
Review 53:None.
Review 54:The location. The price. And, having mobility issues, they were very helpful.
Review 55:Comfortable room, good location, good rate. Cable, microwave and fridge, heat!
Review 56:The owners wanted to cancel my reservation because I had dog hair on my jacket.
Review 57:Affordable for Denver.
Review 58:if you are looking for a budget motel and don't mind an older building it's a good and convenient place to stay
Review 59:Room and motel were a bit "tattered"
Review 60:The beds were very comfortable.
Review 61:Need fitted sheets. WiFi could be faster. Not as clean as it could be.
Review 62:Bed comfortable
Review 63:The WC in the room breaker and to be repair
Review 64:As the motel in main St they should but Sound insulator Voices annoying because cars
Review 65:Helpful staff
Review 66:Belcaro motel was on roadside and so did not find difficulty to locate. The staff were very helpful. Rooms were maintained very clean.
Review 67:No bad experience.
Review 68:The comfort and cleanliness of the room, as well as the pleasant staff and the room rate.
Review 69:Staff was rude, demanding with few customer service skills. Also there was a language barrier
Review 70:Location
Review 71:It appears to be a motel on its way down, catering to weekly or longer rentals. The outside needs attention.
Review 72:Good location and easy access.
Review 73:The shower leak and cockroachs
Review 74:nice location
Review 75:The woman in the front desk was really mean. There was a coackroach in the mini fridge.
Review 76:The location was good.
Review 77:Staff was rude.
Review 78:Dated decor cheap choppy fixes repairs
Review 79:King size bed
Review 80:Bedding too incomfortable
Review 81:Cheapest
Review 82:Outside noise.
Review 83:Price
Review 84:Bathroom had no heat and was very cold It was a cold night and morning
Review 85:Good location. The motel is around a lot of restaurants and shopping.
Review 86:Twenty years ago, it would've been considered a dive that would've coated you $19 tops. $70 is way too expensive!!!
Review 87:The rooms were outdated with stains on the carpet and trash in the room from last tenant who came and left.
Review 88:The price was good for location
Review 89:Outdated, dirty and overall trashy.
Review 90:Location.
Review 91:traffic
Review 92:close to va clinic
Review 93:Colorado blvd is very busy, parking lot is kind of small
Review 94:Comfy bed, tv, microwave, room was spacious
Review 95:noise from other rooms
Review 96:Only that it was a simple place without fancy carpet and curtains. Not really a big thing.
Review 97:It was clean and dry and quiet with good beds and shower.
Review 98:Smell, surroundings, other guests up making noise until 3 or 4 am, soiled and burnt carpeting.
Review 99:Low cost
Review 100:Had to ask the room be made up before the second night. The door did not latch without extreme force.
Review 101:the convenient location, immediate hot water
Review 102:Dated room. Very noisy. The windows dont reduce any street noise. Litter everywhere around the room entrances.
Review 103:the rugs were a bit dingy at least in my room
Review 104:the staff was lovely
Review 105:Room wasn't ready and we arrived 2-3 hours later than we had said due to a change in plans. New housekeeper was sweeping up broken glass from the carpet and then vacuumed it. Not sure where broken glass cam Holes in bedspread. No hot water, but was fixed in an hour.
Review 106:Close to where our relatives live. If the room had been ready and cleaned before we arrived, that would have been nice. Also, as a hotel guest, I would have loved to have been notified that the hot water system was being worked on instead of taking a cold shower.
Review 107:It was filthy and even our "non-smoking" room reaked. The place was disgusting and when I called the front desk to mention the smoke smell the staff was rude.
Review 108:It had wifi.
Review 109:Rooms themselves are in need of some renovation: ceiling in mine was stained & starting to crumble.
Review 110:Location on CO. Blvd. is very good. Don't miss the Great Harvest Bakery down the street, as well as the nearby City of Brest Park on Cherry Creek Rd. Bed was comfortable & bathroom seemed to have been renovated in the past few years. Price was reasonable.
Review 111:My room, 110, had a very funky smell. Also, noise from second floor was bothersome. Street noise was noticeable but not excessive
Review 112:Fairly clean and orderly
Review 113:Some of the bedding was old or torn up and the room had an adjoining door that didn't seem very strong. However, if you are on a budget I highly recommend this motel.
Review 114:I loved the location. It was close to the zoo, planetarium and lots of shops and restaurants. The price was incredible with clean rooms, a tv, refrigerator, and nice bathroom.
Review 115:It was just a little run down, but that is absolutely to be expected for that price in the location it was in. I'm more than happy with our stay.
Review 116:Great location, friendly owner, good parking, cheap price
Review 117:Two out of three nights awakened by man pounding on a door 3 doors down at 4am. Last night, partying outside of my room in the middle of the night, don't know if the staff could have any control over that.
Review 118:Clean room - nice staff. Close proximity to shopping and I-25.
Review 119:the room was not very clean and the shower did not even work. when i asked the staff about this they simply said "oh I will tell the manager " i as whether in light of this there would be some reduction in the rate and she said no it was one of the worst motels in the country i have stayed in with the worst staff a real sleazy dive.
Review 120:not much to like
Review 121:The room Bobby Lee dominguez Northglenn,co
Review 122:Requested smoking room.when I arrived it was snowing told I would have to wait an hour for room to be ready settled for non smoking still waited for it to be ready only 15 min. Told arrive btwn 10-11am arrived at 10:30.
Review 123:Very dingy; fridge did not work and leaked some kind of green-/blue liquid, which the hotel claimed was "candy" for some bizarre reason... Of course it was probably freon. The smell from it made me sick - literally. They were supposed to give us a new operating fridge but did not do so... In the end they offered to refund one night, but hotel clerk was too confused to do it, so they are supposed to do it eventually... The place was probably last updated in the 1970's.
Review 124:It was cheap and location was ok...
Review 125:No good Mexican restaurants around the area.Wah!
Review 126:Nice people ran the place.Sheets changed every day.It had a fridge and micro wave.Even though there is alot of traffic you don't really hear it much.I guess because the bathroom is between you and the outside wall.
Review 127:Best value for the money that you pay for. You would be disappointed if you expected something fancy but it is a good place to stay. The room and bathroom were clean. The hotel is also safe.
Review 128:Could be a little cleaner- dust, and a piece of a pretzel, along the baseboards/molding. Not quite up to Swiss hotel standards.
Review 129:As others have said, a "vintage" property. Very friendly and helpful manager at the front desk. Located in a safe neighborhood, along a busy six lane thoroughfare, but I was not bothered by noise from traffic. Plenty of shopping within a several block walk- Walgreens, supermarkets, Home Depot, Starbucks. On the RTD #40 bus line, and near cross-streets which had other bus lines. Able to ride bus to/from downtown and DEN airport. Fine for travelers looking for an inexpensive hotel. Comfortable bed, clean bed and bathroom linens. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Review 130:We didn't get recognized in booking. No record was found. Choice oftwo rooms were less than occupiable. We didn't want to even put ourbags on the floor. We booked 4 nights and stayed 1. My first experience, before, was quite nice; this was below expectancy, far below.
Review 131:Staff was accommodating, congenial and swift.
