Reviews for Blue Pine Motel

Review 1:Exceeded my expectations. Clean, comfortable, quiet, with little touches that were unexpected in a motel at this price. It was exactly what we needed for a "base camp" while exploring nearby areas.

Review 2:Sheets and towels smell like bleach... But that at least makes me feel like the things I'm using are clean. Bring sandals-- the floor even though carpeted, is very cold in the winter.

Review 3:Very friendly staff, affordable rate, clean room, hot shower, comfy bed, very quiet, basic amenities.

Review 4:The motel was unassuming on the outside, but was very nice on the inside. Clean, comfortable and well equipped with amenities. Excellent value. Would definitely stay there again.

Review 5:N/A

Review 6:Even though this is an older motel, it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. We wI'll definitely stay here again.

Review 7:Like many older places the availability of power outlets is a bit problematic. Not that big a deal though.

Review 8:Good value for the $'s. The ice cream shop across the street was great.

Review 9:We liked everything about the property...the way it looked, the cleanliness, room size and the store located on the property. Great value for the money.

Review 10:We stayed at the Canyon Lodge the night before and it was terrible. We LOVED the facilities at the Blue Pine Motel. It was clean, updated and comfortable. We highly recommend this motel and it's in an excellent location if you are visiting the National Parks in the area!

Review 11:We liked everything about the Blue Pine Motel. We received a warm welcome at reception and the owner went beyond by calling ahead to another city at his expense to get a reservation for us. The town is small but there are a couple of restaurants right by the motel and a grocery store further down the main street, easy walk. Both restaurants had very friendly staff and inexpensive meals. We used Panguitch as a stop between our arrival at Las Vegas airport and Bryce Canyon the next morning.

Review 12:Room 4 only has shower (fine for us). No Kleenex (we brought our own). Tiny sink in bathroom. Get on hands and knees to work A/C.

Review 13:Location, openness, friendly staff. Nearby Subway (drive). Price reasonable, so cannot expect everything. Would definitely stay again.

Review 14:Some traffic noise. A microwave would have been really useful for our family.

Review 15:Super friendly and helpful staff. Good location for our excursions into Bryce and Red Rock Canyons. Kids really enjoyed mini golf.

Review 16:Walls a bit thin, so a bit noisy when our neighbours got up early!

Review 17:What a find! Really helpful friendly staff, lovely room, clean, comfortable bed. Everything we needed for an overnight stay in the area.

Review 18:- bad shower, the water was too cold or to hot ... the temperature changed always - we found a little spider in the bed - they forget to give as the key for the free WiFi - no breakfast

Review 19:+ very good TV + friendly staff

Review 20:Missing knob on bathroom fan Paint peeling Cracked sink Water temp took too long to get warm Door lock was not functioning propeerly

Review 21:Location Friendly owners Helped us straighten out a booking problem

Review 22:I thought it was pretty funn that a coffee machine was in the room but owner told us that they don't have coffee there. For coffee you have to come to the front desk. :-) ... Carpet was a little filthy .

Review 23:Owner was Pretty nice and the Rooms pretty clean. It also had a flatscreen TV.Owner gave us extra Towels also, since our little Kid was with us. I absolutely would recommend this Motel.

Review 24:Excellent, clean, and quiet small town hotel. Everything you need is within walking distance. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Bryce Canyon.

Review 25:There was no tissue in the bath area, nor a hairdryer. Coffee, creamer, etc., had to be picked up at front desk, although there was a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator in the room.

Review 26:Front desk folks were pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Review 27:This is a no frills, spotlessly clean motel not far from Bryce Canyon NP. The beds were super comfortable and the management is delightfully informal and the price was fair. This is not the Hampton Inn but for an overnight stay it satisfied my needs. I would stay there again.

Review 28:Can't believe that even a 'budget' motel doesn't furnish facial tissues and a hair dryer. Towels and washcloths can only be described as 'Thrift store fluffy'. Only enough towel rack room to hang up two towels. Refrigerator (even on warmest setting) froze anything we put in it.

Review 29:Staff was very nice and room was clean.

Review 30:Cheryl, the owner is very nice and make you feel like this is home. She had suggestions of where to eat and where to go. Can not way to go back next year.

Review 31:The host was so incredibly friendly and helpful. She was welcoming and completely accommodating. Really terrific! The room was immaculate and the beds were comfy. Plenty of hot water for showers after hiking.

Review 32:Have no negative comments.

Review 33:The owners were wonderful. They were very accomodating.....even gave us towels, bucket, n hose to use to wash our motorcycles. Will recommend this place to all our friends.

Review 34:The bathroom door wouldn't close.

Review 35:The bed was very comfortable, great location, very clean. I loved the plantation shutters. Excellent wi-fi connection.

Review 36:The motel was a pleasant surprise. Right in town and was within walking distance restaurants. Rooms were very clean and nice. Very nice stay. Was greeted by a very pleasant innkeeper.

Review 37:Nothing really. The motel does not offer breakfast.

Review 38:The family atmosphere of the motel. Nice room/appartment with extra bedroom. 20 minutes drive to Bryce Canyon. Nice atmosphere in the old centre of the town (two streets..)

Review 39:Kept reaching for kleenex that wasn't there. Okay, we got our own and it was fine.

Review 40:Everything worked well. Liked the fridge, microwave and a decent coffee maker. All good for basic needs, which is what we needed. Very friendly, accommodating staff.

Review 41:No assigned parking and rude neighbors took up 5 parking spots with 2 Harleys and a chair.

Review 42:Great location. Close to Bryce. Staff was incredibly helpful when I had to change my plans at the last minute. Great value for the money!

Review 43:We checked in around 10:15pm on Sunday July 26,2015. Extremely bad customer service. Room had lot of moths and bugs. When I pulled comforter on white sheet I saw couple of hair, when I called at front desk for clean sheets, he said they are washed but mostly hair must have stuck to it during drying. When I insisted on getting on clean sheets he got it and said If I'm not satisfied he can give money and go to other hotel( it was 11:30pm)!! I was like shocked with his remark? I said what?? he said you don't seem happy, because you asked during check in that if breakfast was included or not. I said " so what, whats wrong in asking?" He said" you already should know this when you booked it" I said" I booked this place almost 4 months ago along with 6 more other hotels for our trip in Utah, I don't remember" Instead of saying sorry for dirty sheets, room had moths, even bath tub had tons of bugs, bathroom exhaust won't work properly, it also had horrible sound. I don't recommend this hotel for bad facility and extremely bad attitude from the manager. We paid $ 85 per room for one night. I regret for booking this motel.

Review 44:This place was clean, friendly and convenient to the entrance to Bryce canyon. Great location and plenty places to eat. Great steak house across the street. All you want when traveling is a good price and a clean place to stay. This was both.

Review 45:everything was ok

Review 46:ok simple motel where you can park in front of it without some fancy stuff, I like it to simply sit in front of motel room and surf while watching around

Review 47:The pillows aren't incredibly comfy, so we were glad we had extras in the car.

Review 48:The staff was terrific, and they told us all about nearby Bryce and other goings-on around town. The motel didn't offer anything fancy, but it was incredibly clean. The town is sweet, and we wished our stay was longer.

Review 49:Ice machine not easily found or accessible: in manager's apartment past front desk.

Review 50:The room was a nice size, clean and comfortable. Walking distance to dinner and shopping.

Review 51:WiFi supposedly available, but was non-functional. Generally stingy, too: no continental breakfast, no sugar packets, no tissues, even!

Review 52:Walk to great local restaurant - steakhouse/bbq.

Review 53:Neat motel in a neat location. A really good restaurant within walking distance. Rooms were small but clean and no mildew smell that you sometimes get at other similar type establishments. (We stay at one each summer) It was like walking back in time.

Review 54:Wifi didn't quite connect to my room near the end. Seemed a bit spotty.

Review 55:Room was clean and linens were fresh. Room was very accommodating. Easy access to car and most of town walkable. Very friendly service.

Review 56:We stayed on a recent visit to Bryce Canyon for 2 nights. This is a simple family run motel, that is clean with comfortable beds. The folks who run it are super friendly. There are flat screen TV with lots of channels and Wi-Fi also. (This is not a posh resort, nor did we expect it to be). We were looking for a comfortable place to sleep and were pleased with our lodgings. The room rates are very reasonable. If you are looking for a clean comfortable place to sleep, with friendly folks and a great rate, this is it.

Review 57:The WiFi could be a bit faster.

Review 58:Liked the friendly reception, the personal service and the location of the hotel. Room was clean and functional and everything worked.

Review 59:Wi fi didn't work at all In our rooms.

Review 60:The room had two large comfortable queen sized beds. Single level with car parking out the front of our room. Very friendly girl at the front desk. Temperature at night was very mild - mid June, didn't need to use air con.

Review 61:Would have appreciated two towels per person in room without having to request. Very minor problem.

Review 62:Manager honored our request for rooms away from busy street and was very helpful with advice and supplies for room. Motel was walking distance from excellent restaurant.

Review 63:For my stay, the Wi-Fi was nonexistent. A weak connection that was quickly lost.

Review 64:Very friendly and helpful staff. A clean and comfortable room. Close proximity to Brice Canyon, a nice, small town atmosphere.

Review 65:Needed an extra pillow ones provided were a little thin. Coffee quality was not great.

Review 66:Friendly welcome flexible with our early departure and cleanness of the unit we stayed in #5 and parked just outside our room. Very accessible and great food options within 1000 ft of hotel. Stayed in way to visit Bryce canyon. Would stay again no question

Review 67:The taps are difficult to manage and make noise.

Review 68:Nice, clean and comfortable motel, close to Bryce Canyon. We enjoyed using the cool and shady picknick area.

Review 69:I've stayed her before with no internet problems. However, connectivity was difficult during evening hours (I wonder if too many guests were checking Facebook like me!) but early the next morning when I logged on I had no problem whatsoever so perhaps it was just spotty service that one evening. Hopefully so.

Review 70:We stayed in rooms 7 and 15 and both had been recently renovated with new carpeting, bedding, and window treatments. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. This is a basic hotel so there were no frills to speak of. But the management was friendly, check-in/out was easy, and the motel is perfectly located in the center of charming Panguitch, across the street from the GEM movie theatre (good ice cream) and next door to Henries (tasty burgers) and next to Original Kenny Ray's for breakfasts.

Review 71:Coffee maker in the room, however if you want coffee, you have to get it at the office (who wants to walk over to the office in your pyjamas??)

Review 72:Room was large and clean, staff was friendly

Review 73:No breakfast

Review 74:The lady from the reception prepared a room for us and left us a noteas we came quite late. The rate was quite ok (given the location).Heating in the room was great as we did not expect it to be 4c in themiddle of May :)

Review 75:The rooms were medium spacious and clean, Easy access to downtown and quaint shops, and restaurants and easy access to Bryce Canyon (20-30 min drive)

Review 76:If you need a hair dryer bring your own, although you can borrow from the office. Also I like a box of kleenex in the room and that's not provided.

Review 77:Brand new matresses, super clean accomodations. Limitless coffee packs, sugar and styro cups in the office for your use. Free WIFI worked very well.

Review 78:Poor wifi speed, almost unuseable. 40min drive to Bryce canyon with very limited restaurant options in the town.

Review 79:Spacious room with fridge and microwave

Review 80:Clean, comfortable, great people. Kudos to Brianne who helped us check in. She was friendly and gave us all the info we needed. In addition, there were little things I needed i.e. hair dryer and she got me one. Will happily stay again.

Review 81:They mailed my son's dragon to us after he left it in the bed. So nice of them to do. We really appreciated it. He can't sleep without his dragon!

Review 82:There are no hair dryers or tissues. Ice and coffee have to be fetched from the office.

Review 83:Within walking distance of everything in town. Helpful, courteous and friendly staff.

Review 84:Owner was very friendly, clean place, 40min drive to Bryce Canyon, could be less if you don't mind hitting a deer when driving in the morning or evening.

Review 85:The staff was really friendly when we checked-in, checked-out, and had questions in-between. Very good value for the money. Exactly what we expected of the motel. Bathroom was a little chilly.

Review 86:Wifi was a bit on and off but otherwise great!

Review 87:Friendly staff, great room, nice location on main street close to eateries and shops. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Review 88:Only as a last resort would I recommend this place. If you stay here check of the facilities1 st before paying.

Review 89:Across the street from Steakhouse. Beside restaurant for breakfast.

Review 90:You can hear the neighbors in surrounding rooms.

Review 91:This reasonably priced motel had the basics and a very comfortable mattress. It is near Bryce Canyon National Park but in an ordinary small town rather than a touristy park.

Review 92:WIFI connection dodgy with minimal occupancy. Could be a big problem when they are heavily booked.

Review 93:Quiet. Friendly. Convenience in a small one stop light town.

Review 94:Age of the facility--not a problem, just reality Lack of eating places in town

Review 95:Cleanliness and comfort Location for tourism stay Convenience of parking right at room Friendly staff seemed to care

Review 96:Fair sized rooms , with good flat screen TV. Hotel is located right in main part of town near shops and service stations. Plenty of coffee available at front desk. Heater works well. easy driving to National Parks

Review 97:This is well-run motel--clean and conveniently located near Bryce Canyon and Grand Staircase Escalante NM. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Panguitch has decent food so don't expect gourmet cooking. But that should not be why you are visiting the area.

Review 98:cramped bathroom; location on main street, therefore noise--big trucks go htrough, so ask for a room in back #14 or higher.

Review 99:comfortable bed; nice, clean room; friendly staff; little touches--flowerpots with real geraniums etc., candy dish on front desk, an outside chair for each room; adequate mini-refrigerator & microwave; very reasonably priced for what was offered.

Review 100:Because it is an older building you hear the pipes when the neighbors use the water. But nothing can be done about that. It's part of the experience.

Review 101:A traditional motel. Very well kept up! Owners live next door and work very hard to keep the place nice and to care for their guests at a great price.

Review 102:Poor wi-fi service, very frustrating! Towels smaller and thinner than standard.

Review 103:This is an older designed 50ish motel, but well maintained. Staff/owners very pleasant and helpful. The cliche "you get what you pay for" apples here.

Review 104:Had to go to the office to get coffee and cups to fix in the room. The town closes on Sunday, no groceries, and one restaurant open. Not the Motel's fault...but for a tourist tourist town one would think places would be open.

Review 105:Friendly owner, clean. Affordable.

Review 106:In room coffee would be a benefit if leaving very early, not at front desk.

Review 107:Friendly front desk. Room was very clean, bed comfortable, Bathroom dated but clean and towels were soft and white. Would stay there again. Good value for money

Review 108:It was all good

Review 109:The Blue Pine is a very good motel..comfortable beds, good size room and a good location to Bryce canyon and the surrounding area. We would stay again if we were to return!

Review 110:It is a bit noisy. You can hear the showers from other rooms. Also the motelI is located close to a stop light so there is quite a bit of traffic noise. A pillow over the head works nicely to cut down on noise. ;-)

Review 111:The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Review 112:There was a drain problem in the sink.

Review 113:The staff was very helpful and generous. Helped us with the laundry and with cooking tools. There's a nice place for barbecue outside, and it is very green and we'll kept outdoors.

Review 114:Noisy from street because of lack of isolation and loud air-con Small room and shower with very little wather pressure No fridge

Review 115:I.o. w-lan Easy to find located noxt to road Friendly and helpful personal

Review 116:Shower is small, but normal for an older motel.

Review 117:We were greeted like family. Room was adequate & clean. Bed & pillows comfortable. Close to Bryce Canyon and Zion. A few good choices for food within a block.

Review 118:No laundry facilities, didn't clean the bathroom overnight, coffee pot wasn't clean when we arrived or overnight.

Review 119:Friendly & helpful staff, great location for the national parks.

Review 120:Nothing

Review 121:The Blue Pine was a very comfortable stay on our vacation. Upon checkin, the owner offered us a free upgrade to a larger (and newer) room. It was quite nice. His suggestion for dinner across the street at the movie theatre restaurant proved to be an excellent choice. Good food at reasonable prices.

Review 122:Rooms are noisy - depending on neighbours; especially the shower of the neighbour room; no hair dryer

Review 123:good Price Value, room Size, good located in small, cosy town; Mirco wave, fridge

Review 124:The pillows were a bit on the hard side for me.

Review 125:Saint George is a small town, and Blue Pine is right in the center of it. Our room was clean and quiet, I liked the shutters covering the windows instead of dusty drapes. Towels were on the new side, bathroom was newly remodeled. Carpeting was in good condition.

Review 126:What annoyed us a lot was that the walls were paper thin. Our neighbours woke up much earlier than us and so did we...we could hear everything they were saying and it's not that they were loud speaking. Apart from that, the WIFI was horrible even until midnight, probably because the router got overloaded as soon as a few people logged in.

Review 127:We got an upgrade to a bigger room - guy at the reception was really friendly! Room was clean, as to be expected of a standard motel

Review 128:Little ac/heater in the room. Thankfully didn't have to turn it on. If you get a room in the front, I believe you will hear street noise.

Review 129:I stayed here in June just before the first day of summer. Got up at 5a and it was an easy drive to Sunrise Point in Bryce. Made it in plenty of time to see the sunrise at just before 6a. The room was clean. Ask for a room in the back as it is on the main drag. We ate across the street at the movie theater and the food was surprising good.
