Reviews for GrandStay Hotel & Suites
Review 1:Hotel manager had no problem with sending me an item left behind in our room. Very good service overall and there willingness to help me get my item back was very much appreciated!
Review 2:Pool was small for this size of hotel. We have 4 kids and that's about the space limit.
Review 3:The room was clean and kitchen space was great - larger fridge is nice for big groups. Breakfast in the morning was good and someone was there to make sure utensils and food stayed stocked up as the hotel was full the weekend we were there.
Review 4:Several tiles along the wall in the pool had come loose. Other small but noticible upkeep issues. Did not effect my overall experience
Review 5:Breakfast was great. Greeted with smile and hello by every staff person...every time. Nice rate for a huge 3 bed suite.
Review 6:The thing that I don't like is that the housekeeping is available only in the mornings. Once you leave your room late. it won't be cleaned up until next day.
Review 7:I like the separation between bedroom and living room as well as the equipped kitchen which makes your stay more comfortable feeling as if you were at home.
Review 8:The bedrooms were small and the room was overall dated. The lobby and much of the common areas had a bad odor.
Review 9:2 bedroom suite for $140 is a good value. The beds were extremely comfortable and the setup was great for a family with young kids. i would stay here again at that price point. We saved quite a bit over 2 rooms at a traditional hotel.
Review 10:When I reserved the room online I was expecting a bedroom with two beds and I only had one plus a sofa bed which is not comfortable for my six foot son so I needed to change rooms and thus paid more than I expected I would be when reserving the room.
Review 11:Staff was friendly and helpful.
Review 12:The room was so clean and spacious! We loved having the full kitchen and living room - really made you feel like home. They had utensils for you to use, a full size refrigerator, plenty of cupboard space and a nice big desk to work on or use as a kitchen table. super comfy bed and a nice quiet hot tub/pool area. We have booked two more stays at this hotel!
Review 13:Room that had no door separating living room with sofa from room with bed. Although there were televisions in each area, enjoying different shows was difficult since there was no door.
Review 14:Room that had door separating room with bed from room with sofa. TV in each room. Nice kitchenette. Nice lobby and some choice at breakfast.
Review 15:I was in shower housekeeping came to door and because I didn't answer they put note on door and said they couldn't clean room but we could bring our dirty linen and towels down to front desk and get new ones. It was only 10am housekeeping should come back instead of putting note on door we didn't have do not disturb sign on either and was way before noon
Review 16:We like the set up of the room having 2 tv's and separate rooms for the kids.
Review 17:The only complaint is the pool was small and cloudy. It was more that obvious the filter needed to be cleaned or changed. There were a group of kids who kept cannon ball jumping in the pool and I didn't appreciate that. The pool is not deep enough or big enough for that.
Review 18:This hotel has a great location. The staff was friendly. The rooms are a great for the price.
Review 19:Breakfast was boring with no varieties
Review 20:Very functional apartment.love the bathroom, though kitchenette compact.
Review 21:The pull out, sofa bed, squeaked ever time someone moved.
Review 22:the dishes were still in the dishwasher dirty. stove top was not cleaned
Review 23:I liked the idea of separate bedrooms
Review 24:Pool area floor is very slippery.
Review 25:everything else
Review 26:the pool

Review 41:Everything, the room was clean, staff was super friendly
Review 42:No issues
Review 43:Is was close to the events we were there for.The kitchen, gave our family the ability to enjoy hot food in our suite..
Review 44:I wish the linens (sheets) were a little crisper
Review 45:Proximity to ISU and access to restaurant and bar for evening drink and food
Review 46:there wasn't anything that I didn't like
Review 47:The set up of the room, I like the option of bringing our own food and snacks. Very clean, plenty of room for us to relax. That you could bring the family pet.
Review 48:I went to the hot tub and it was cold a big disappointment after a long day working.
Review 49:I really enjoyed the suite that allowed to be sit in a room and not lay on a bed.
Review 50:The breakfast wasn't my favorite, though it's hard to find a hotel that includes breakfast with bacon and eggs. The biscuits were a bit dry and I didn't prefer the gravy, but our guest said it was decent. If you have three adults in a one-bedroom suite it may get a bit tight but for one night it was just fine.
Review 51:The room was clean and bright. The walls are painted in colors to help open it a bit as the room is a bit on the smallish side. When we walked in we realized we'd stayed at a GrandStay before and remembered that we liked it that time as well. The bathroom is generously sized and the shower head is tall enough for me to fit under without curling in a small ball (I'm about 6'). The bed was a bit harder than we'd anticipated, but the comforter was very plush and, well, comfortable. I love that there were two TVs, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, since my husband and his friend stayed up watching TV later than I wanted so I went to bed and turned on a show I wanted to fall asleep too. Also, I could turn the temp of the room down easily with the thermostat, not some horrible wall AC unit that's loud enough to drown out conversation. How often do you find a hotel for this price, that is this clean, with nice staff, and breakfast included that takes pets? Not very often from what we've found. Our dog likes to alert us when there are leaves blowing around outside the house (he likes to bark since he's a dachshund), but the GrandStay was quiet enough that he only gruffed once and that was late at night. We didn't have anyone running the halls or stomping upstairs. We weren't able to stay longer than one night, but definitely would have. If you want to bring a computer, there is a nice desk with two chairs that splits the kitchenette from the living room.
Review 52:The hotel needs some cosmetic upgrade
Review 53:The size of the room was very comfortable.
Review 54:Not enough time to use the pool.
Review 55:the home likeness.the breakfasts
Review 56:No bacon or sausage on the hot breakfast. Lots of other choices though.
Review 57:Clean, pleasant, quiet. The waffles were waffley good.
Review 58:The windows didnt close leaving a terrible draft but the staff got us a new room immediately.
Review 59:Rooms need a bit of an updated look.
Review 60:Staff were very helpful. Rooms had terrific layout
Review 61:Breakfast quality could have been better
Review 62:Small pool
Review 63:Very nice room for a very good price
Review 64:Loud noise in the middle of the night; was it the dryers?
Review 65:Very Clean and quiet. Convienant with restarant next door
Review 66:Our stay was great. The staff was very friendly. Great value for families.
Review 67:Water pressure in shower. Breakfast needed more hot food. Bigger bedwould be nice.
Review 68:Room was very clean and the kitchen.
