Reviews for Quality Inn Bryce Canyon Western Resort
Review 1:Breakfast was like in any other motel: bad. However, it was so cold in the breakfast room, even the Russians next to us kept their jackets on. Dining at the hotel was not possible in winter time. In winters it is freezing around Panguitch. There is absolutely nothing to do around there, only one diner was open for dinner. The food was terrible and surely not cheap. Bryce is absolutely a must see, but don't hang around too long or you might have to stay for another night in the middle of nowhere...
Review 2:Quite close to Bryce Canyon NP. Spacious room. Good shower. Nice beds.
Review 3:The heating didn't work properly and we didn't get much help so even if the room was nice it didn't matter because it was really cold
Review 4:The room was nice
Review 5:The amount of snow removal that had happened was minimal. At least the stairs and walkways were clear.
Review 6:The updates inside the room were nice. The chair was comfortable. The room was large!
Review 7:It was not easy to find it using the GPS. It'd be nice if a warning and a detailed direction is given during booking process.
Review 8:Large room and very good breakfast
Review 9:The breakfast area was so cold, that even hot coffee did not helped. Had to take food to the room. The heaters should be turned on. We had to drive 7 miles to the nearest town in order to have something to eat for the dinner. Local cafe was not working.
Review 10:When you travel and need to stop somewhere before night falls in, this was a good place. Close to the road, quiet and on the way.
Review 11:A rather tired place which feels as if it's not properly maintained. Shower walls were horrible (photo attached), shower was almost impossible to regulate.
Review 12:Easy to get to Bryce Canyon and the restaurants in Panguitch. Breakfast wasn't bad for this type of place.
Review 13:Rooms were dark and drap Breakfast area and selection were the worst we had during our entire trip. Tables were dusted between patrons not washed off. Staff was not friendly
Review 14:The room looked as though a fight had taken place in it.There were several items broken or damaged in the room including a picture and lamp. The door had issues. It would stick making it hard to open.
Review 15:Location in regards to Bryce Canyon. They had a nice breakfast.
Review 16:Not very close to Bryce (but not too far, and the way there is very nice...), no selection of restaurants in the area for dinner. Breakfast very basic.
Review 17:This staff is very helpful and the rooms we were in were spacious.
Review 18:Breakfast was marginal.
Review 19:Room was comfortable and location was good. Pricing much more realistic than properties right by the canyon, but still just a short drive.
Review 20:The food service and quality was so-so. The fish was steamed and had no flavor. The eggs were liquidified and formed into patties.
Review 21:Tried to book multiple places at Bryce Canyon and they were all booked. Was able to book here.
Review 22:There is a restaurant collocates with the property. It suggests that has good food. The food, service and value for money is diabolical. Uneatable food at high prices. Due to the motels location choices are limited
Review 23:The family that run this motel are really lovely
Review 24:located in front of the hills making guests feel like be part of the nature. love the view out of the window and the green smell fresh air. good breakfast.
Review 25:Breakfast could have a little more choice of Yogurt or Philadelphia cheese. The cook kind of laughed when we asked her if she has Yogurt.
Review 26:Reasonable price compared to other properties near the Bryce Canyon Looks like real western motel from architecture point of view.
Review 27:The city nearby wasn`t so great, it was quite empty, when we were there.
Review 28:Great accomodation, I liked the western style. Breakfast was also very good, I would recommend the place for everybody.
Review 29:Breakfest was poor and after 3 days of it a real bummer. Place needs painting and landscaping. Decor is very missmatched color and style wise, linens are very worn, towels were rough
Review 30:Clean room, beds were comfortable, refridgerator in room. Some parts of room were recently redone like carpet, window treatments, tiling, hair dryer
Review 31:Price-Performance-Ratio is very, very low. Lausy Service. Breakfast has been the worst I had in the last 20 years in the US:
Review 32:Rooms were available; distance to Bryce Canyon was acceptable. Size of the room is ok.
Review 33:Reception was dingy and scruffy, with a shabby carpet and the rest of the floor covered in muddy footprints. Gave a poor impression to begin with. Our room was clean, but the carpet was stained in several places and the door and outside fence and "balcony" scuffed and broken in places. I had the impression that this place had been closed for some time and was now under new management. With some attention, it could be good. I wish them luck.
Review 34:Comfortable rooms, pleasant staff, good location by the roadside, not difficult to find and handy for Bryce Canyon. Dining facilities very good, charming friendly staff, good choice of food, though not much in the vegetarian line except for a plate of steamed vegetables!
Review 35:Restaurant was poor and breakfast was ordinary
Review 36:Room was fine, clean and beds comfortable, shower worked well although needs maintenance which was reported room 103
Review 37:Many things, rock parking lot and eating area up wooden stairs amount other things. Food at the restaurant on premises made one of us sick.
Review 38:Location
Review 39:Broken ,older lamps. No extra blanket.
Review 40:Friendly, had places on either side of bed for medical necessities. looks like fixing up property. Far from town, etc.
Review 41:Not a bad experience but could have been better if the breakfast had been mixed up a bit, everyday was the same. Also, the general cleanliness of the room was poor. In addition we found several insects throughout the room.
Review 42:The location and general layout. The facility has a good deal of potential but was in need of much repair.
Review 43:it really needs some refurbishing, painting etc.... The restaurant was quite expensive for the quality of food and service offered.
Review 44:the location if you like the views, however a bit far from the center. the buildings. It looked like a nice old "far west village" but ....
Review 45:Breakfast was average. At least some fruits and coffee. The restaurant isn't operated by the hotel itself. This a different owner. Quality is average although the prices are high. I would recommend to bring own food or try another restaurant.
Review 46:Fast check-in and free parking
Review 47:The furnishings were basic with no real touch of class. The breakfast was really poor, not worth eating except that there were no restaurants near by.
Review 48:For the price and location it was good.
Review 49:Don't go to the restaurant ! 80$ for 2 salads and 1 mac & cheese, 2 cokes and a beer, that's way too much. The owner added himself the tip on the bill...
Review 50:The look and feel of the hotel, like a ranch. The breakfast included in the price. You can do yourself your waffles. Not too far from Bryce Canyon.
Review 51:Hot breakfast was just omelette and sausages nothing else. Some aspects of decor a bit tired especially shower.
Review 52:Great for visiting Bryce Canyon. Nice views from hotel. Humming birds by breakfast window.
Review 53:The restaurant next to it is a little pricy and only has a few choices. You have to drive a bit if you want another one.
Review 54:The western style of the whole facilities. The rooms are nice.
Review 55:no pool Breakfast was so so Dinner at onsite restaurant lacked selection and was way over priced. Instant mashed potatoes with a 28 dollar meal??
Review 56:Nice location
Review 57:Rooms had a strong smell of cleaner or perfume, and seemed to be in the process of repair. The Breakfast was poor, and the restaurant offered nothing for kids. The promise of an evening camp fire was not fulfilled, and I think the hotel is trying to overcharge my credit card.
Review 58:Soft bed.
Review 59:The grill bar charged 18% of gratity without prior notice. It also included 11.75% tax, Rather than 7.95% sales tax. I felt cheated by this grill bar.
Review 60:Good view
Review 61:I like to pack somewhat light as a traveler, so assuming there would be conditioner, I didn't bring my own. There wasn't, however, any conditioner in the hotel. I was slightly disappointed.
Review 62:The rooms were nice and we loved the overall look of the hotel. It fit our needs.
Review 63:The bed was listed as a king. Felt more like a queen. The shower was small and very worn. The sign outside said now open giving the impression that it was a brand new facility. The room felt older and worn.
Review 64:It was quiet.
Review 65:Staff are quite abrupt and the whole place seemed a little run down, but was actually a good place to stay On site restaurant was not inviting at all. Poor
Review 66:Location was great and the Buffet breakfast was pretty decent!
Review 67:Poor wifi. No hot water in the restroom. Heater not working good, too noisy. The breakfast was very disappoint.
Review 68:Very good location close to Bryce National Park. Friendly helpful staff.
Review 69:Poor wifi - could not connect some devices at all. Shower curtain stank. No-where to store ours bags for the morning and could not accommodate late check out!
Review 70:Comfortable bed, efficient fridge, spacious
Review 71:The outdoor signs are limited, and no other cars were in the parking lot, so when we arrived to check in, the facility looked like it was not open.
Review 72:Proximity to Bryce Canyon, comfortable bed, clean rooms and Silverado Restaurant. Met the owner of the restaurant and his delightful family. Everything is homemade and prepared fresh at the restaurant. The food was excellent; everything we ordered was delicious.
Review 73:- Very poor breakfast - The reception area of the hotel is really lacking in atmosphere
Review 74:- Really close to Bryce Canyon - Great location to see the sunrise - The outside of the hotel is really nice themed
Review 75:Several safety hazards. Exposed wiring in the room, stairs to restaurant fo not meet building standards, restaurant alternate door locked at breakfast. WIFI hopelessly slow. The restaurant steak was tough, small, wouldn't have been served at Denny's.
Review 76:Convenient location to Bryce, but Bryce City will be my choice next time.
Review 77:The restaurant which is on the site but not run by Quality Inn. The selection of food is very limited and staff have what can only be described as a couldn't careless attitude.
Review 78:Friendliness of the staff. The quiet. The comfort and spaciousness of the room.
Review 79:A/c heat units need upgrade. Too noisy whwn they cycle on and off to sleep.
Review 80:Service was excellent in every way. The owners/staff are on the point of taking care of their customer at every opportunity
Review 81:None
Review 82:Well kept, clean and confortable room. Everything in order, bathroom amenities ok,and clean... The breakfast, included, well above the regular " breakfast included" advertising in many other hotels. You can have a full american breakfast,if you like or just the conyinental style.
Review 83:Staff were friendly, the hotel is close to Bryce Canyon and also the cute town of Panguitch which feels so much more authentic than the fake town of Bryce Canyon right near the park. The western theme of the hotel was surprising and humorous but we took some ridiculous touristy photos.
Review 84:Problems with key cards for door opening. Repeatedly! Poor breakfast (provides hotel alone)
Review 85:Good location within 30 minute to Bryce canyon entry gate. Good saloon for dinner which cooperating with hotel.
Review 86:The restaurant on the property was very very overpriced...the familyrunning it was very strange and dressed too casually for the prices theyexpected. Their son was the waiter, dressed inappropriately for themoney they expected and was very insistent that the 5 over-pricedspecials were all that was being offered for dinner,.yet the take-outmenu was sandwiches and affordable dinners (BBQ),which was not offeredin the restaurant. Also when we ordered coffee, we were brought a jar ofNescafe instant and told to measure out what we wanted and they wouldgive us hot water...we declined. I might add the special chicken dinnerconsisted of very dry over cooked chicken and mushy noodles cooked withLiptons Noodle Soup. The Mixed vegetables promised consisted of cannedcorn warmed up.This cost $17.99 each.....toooooexpensiveand bad :( Thefree breakfast was meager compared to other Quality Inns and althoughthey had waffle irons in the restaurant, they were not present for freebreakfast, and the restaurant was closed. We ate breakfast in a sideroom off the main restaurant. Fix this restaurant, please
Review 87:We loved the outside decor, and it's closeness to the Bryce Canyon. This has the promise to be a very good place to stay if they upgrade therestaurant.
Review 88:Staff in the hotel Restaurant has promised everything, but we've got junk food for dinner for a very high prices. This is really shame for this hotel.
Review 89:Very good location close to Bryce National Park. Good and clean room.
Review 90:Breakfast could be better. No hot waffle on the first day but they have it on the second day. It.seams to be a little lower quality than at the Comfort inn we stayed in Williams.
Review 91:very small room with 2 queen beds, no room to move, no microwave nor kettle provided; too far to obtain hot water for tea/coffee
Review 92:close to airport for helicopter rides
Review 93:This hotel made in western style. looks like a small western street from some western movie. The room was very clean, the bed is very wide and comfortable, a pillow were soft. Me and my family very enjoy our stay. Our breakfast was fresh and very taste. We will be back to Quality Inn Bryce for sure.
Review 94:the cleanliness of room is ok, but we find an opened roll of toilet paper on the shelf in the wardrobe. The door security safety chain was broken
Review 95:a spirit of the Wild West, spectacular views around, comfortable bed, friendly staff...
Review 96:The restaurant accompanying the hotel is terrible, to say the least. The food was very expensive and barely palatable. No dessert was available. I would not recommend at all. I know they were just reopening after new management, but it does not justify the poor quality of the food.
Review 97:I loved seeing the Utah prairie dogs living near the hotel. What a treat! And the view from our balcony was gorgeous. It is a very convenient location if you visit a few of the nearby national parks.
Review 98:Overall experience was good, but as it was below freezing in the night, a blanket should have been std in the room - ask for it before U go to bed (mid April)
Review 99:Good place just where U get up to the bryce Canyon. OK breakfast.
Review 100:There is a restaurant on the premise. Staff makes it clear that it is not run by the hotel. Since you are in the middle of nowhere, it is tempting to go there on late arrival: nice setting, very ordinary food (chicken and noodle) and very expensive. Be prepared !
Review 101:very handy for people who want to see Bryce canyon. Not too costly. Standard.
Review 102:We were directed to the restaurant attached to the property. We felt we were held captive when we walked through the door. There was no printed menu and we were immediately served soup and bread before we could even ask for a menu which didn't exist. Very expensive sub-par food.
Review 103:Room was spacious and comfortable
Review 104:I had to ring the bell for service 4 times and bang on a door, then open the door and yell for someone to help us. Not happy about that. Light fixture in bathroom missing a cover--tacky. Otherwise, clean enough. Owner left 4 crates of milk sitting out for 20 minutes because he said he was too busy to put them away. That's gross. What else is he too busy to take care of that might impact customers????
Review 105:Low price, clean enough, a 20-mile drive to Bryce Canyon. Right on intersection of Hwys 89 & 12, so easy to head down to Zion afterward.
Review 106:Perfect location for travelling to the bryce canyon! of course, it's not a 5-star hotel, but for one night its excellent: clean, friendly, comfortable bed and with breakfast.
Review 107:unfortunately, the remote for the brand new tv was missing, and the floor was still wet from shampooing. Also, there was a mixup at the front desk and we were sent to an occupied room. I am assuming this is a shoulder season mixup and not common!
Review 108:The rooms were big, with new furnishings, and quite comfortable. We arrived after dark and left before light, so cant say much more about the place
Review 109:not at all. I will choose it again when I get there.
Review 110:Hotel is with good price and near the Capitol Reef NP. Beds are big and comfort, room with a lot of convenient stuff. Microwave and fridge are good to cook with some food. Breakfast is simple but meets basic needs.
Review 111:The pictures of the room look good, but the furniture and bedding was very old. The sheets were so old they were very thin. The fridge was not in the cabinet that was built for it and was very loud all night. The website showed there was breakfast - they didn't mention it and we couldn't find it.
Review 112:Breakfast was very basic. We were told this is because the restaurant is closed at low season. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and you need to go 6 miles north to find (few) restaurants.
Review 113:Convenient location between Zion NP and Bryce Canyon. The room was quite nice.
Review 114:The shower, door lock, toilet backed up; I had to plunge myself; After I went to the lobby to get the plunger. They should have their Quality Inn name pulled!
Review 115:The room didn't stink. Bed was good.
Review 116:No computer terminal - we were told it had been removed by the owner of the property. Wifi was available but our laptop had stopped working prior to our stay so we needed that computer terminal. However, they phoned for our next accommodation, which we appreciated.
Review 117:Situated in the middle of nowhere, but easy to drive about 7 miles into Panguitch for food shopping and to reach Bryce Canyon. On the highway but far enough from the road to not be bothered by noise. Breakfast average, as when we stayed it was out of season, so not a huge selection as there were not many guests. Staff were extremely helpful.
Review 118:This is the worst hotel I have ever been. We were arrived about 8pm and we checked in. Young lady in the reception desk gave us key to our room. It was in Wrangler house upstairs. We took our baggage and went there. The room was dirty and not made up. The bedding and towels were used, there were a lot of trash... We went to reception to change the room. This young lady was very suprised and she did not belived us I think, but gave us key to another room, which was exactly the same. We went one more time to reception, but she seemed to not belived us and found menager. He took another two keys but the whole floor was like this. He apologised us and finally after 15 minutes he found the room, which looked like made up. We were tired and stay only one night so we took it, but it was not ok, the bedding was creased, like it was used before... To sum up, do not choose this place. The breakfast was terrible also. The room was so cold, even if we used heater. Not worth it!
Review 119:Nothing.
Review 120:Poor breakfast, out on the main road about 10 mins away from Panguitch with no grocery stores gas stations or anything else close bye.
Review 121:Conveniently located between Bryce and Zion canyons. Spacious room with comfortable large bed. Room was heated upfront when arrived on a freezing November night. Friendly staff, good WiFi connection.
Review 122:Poor WiFi signal in the rooms. Fairly well in the lobby. Poor breakfast.
Review 123:The location, the room, the fast check out. Overall it is okay for a one-night stay, I would recommend that for people travelling to the Bryce Canyon.
Review 124:Breakfast room was dirty, counters had all kinds of crumbs on it.Breakfast was very simple, toast, boiled eggs, just one kind of juiceand coffee and cereal consisted of just the sugary kind. Manager kepttelling us he also ordered another kind of cereal but it never gotthere. The cereal bins were dirty, had old residue on the bottom, he putthe old jar with the old residue into the cabinet without cleaning itout. Floors were dirty and hadn't been vacuumed forever. There was amouse problem in the rooms, we heard mice all night and then had twomice in our car, they ate our backpacks and hats. We had to end upputting two mice traps inside of our rental car and we caught two micethat night. Pointed it out to manager. Also, we requested maid servicein the room but the dead fly that was on the ground was still there whenthe maid was finished "cleaning" the room.
Review 125:There was only +22 F (-5,5 C) outside temperature in the morning in the middle of October... :)
Review 126:We were really surprised what a nice comfortable hotel we found in the middle of nowhere on our trip to Bryce Canyon. It looks outside like some grey countryside agricultural building, but fact is that this is a quite new hotel with very spacious rooms, nice furniture, clean, good wifi and lot of parking space. Breakfast was one of the best on our road trip where we visited different motels during 3 weeks. Really worth to stay!
Review 127:Breakfast could be improved significantly. Suggestions would be bran flakes, bananas, raisins. Brown bread.
Review 128:Location was good. Clean rooms with good space.
Review 129:Having to drive 6 miles one way to find restaurant .
Review 130:Price, breakfast. Nice size room. If all of your motels were the same as this one, price, breakfast and rooms. I would be staying in them all over.
Review 131:The breakfast was not vegetarian friendly. There were very few options. Also, there was a price discrepancy but the man at the front was not very helpful in resolving it....saying it was out of his hands since the rooms were booked through a third party.
Review 132:The woman who worked in the front was very friendly and suggested a great pizza place nearby. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
Review 133:Perfect place close to Bryce Canyon. This was the best location on our four weeks trip across the Southwest. New, modern rooms, everything worked fine, good breakfast, all of it at an unbeatable price, what more could you expect!
Review 134:Breakfast is Spartan. Better to go elsewhere.
Review 135:This is just a bit further away from Bryce Canyon than the Park's own facilities (c. 15 miles outside the park). So it's not as expensive - great! But the accommodation is quite basic which is fine because you spend all your time in the park anyway.
Review 136:We were there in September and in the description was standing, that there is a restaurant. The Restaurant was closed and it was to late to search one near the hotel. So we had to go to bed without dinner.
Review 137:Breakfast was ok but far too little food for the number of people they were serving. No on property restaurant as listed, lobby fireplace shown in pictures obviously hasn't been used in a long time and the activities listed are not at all available.
Review 138:Wifi worked
Review 139:Litle noice from others rooms when they walked No restaurant in the hotel for dinner available. Also there is only one place to eat around the hotel, and all business closed at 9:00
Review 140:Situation, only 20 minutes from Bryce National Park.Scenic Drive to the park. Very good brakfast. Clean room and confortable beds Nice old town construction
