Reviews for Panguitch Inn
Review 1:Very noisy as we were close to the lobby where guests arrived and conversations were quite loud.
Review 2:Close enough to Bryce Canyon at a reasonable price. Provided secured parking.
Review 3:Pleasant and humorous manager/ owner. Good location for visiting Bryce Canyon. Clean and comfortable room. Use of a kitchen if you wish to cook you own meals.
Review 4:No staff at hotel, it is a self help hotel, had to check in at another hotel down the street. Sign says clerk will return soon but fact is they never return. Had to kill bugs in room, toilet leaked - had to jigle the handle to stop the leak..shower continually dripped.
Review 5:Location
Review 6:Dirty! Very old facility, with uneven wooden stairs/floors and dirty carpets spread over them. The floors creaked s you walked. One of our beds had been slept in. Pillows were cheap and flat, and there was a lot of hair everywhere. Bathroom facilities included a towel of each size, and bar soap. I called the front desk to get the WiFi password, but no one picked up. I walked down to the desk and rang the bell, but no one ever appeared. It is the kind of place that should cost $35. We were charged $146.
Review 7:Right off the main highway, north from visiting the Grand Canyon. Close to Bryce Canyon.
Review 8:The hotel is in very poor condition. The lobby is in disarray. The bed leaves no leg space to walk thru the room. The TV is an old 16" cathode ray tube with poor resolution. My room was street side which is a major thru highway carrying semis well into the night so noise even with windows shut.
Review 9:not much. clean bed & hot shower
Review 10:Nothing unpleasant to report
Review 11:It is a privately owned small hotel in a historic building tight in the middle of town, yet very quiet, with secluded parking. Redtaurants and a liquor store are just next dooor or across the road.
Review 12:We had a first floor room so no problem getting our luggage to our room, but there is no elevator to the second floor rooms, and you will be toting your bags yourself.
Review 13:A unique historical building in a small, easy going Utah town...like being back in a small Midwest farm town in the 50s . If you're looking for glitz and glamor...this is not for you. If you're looking for small town value and values from decades ago, I think you'll love this place. Room was clean and comfortable, and location is convenient to Bryce (<15 miles). Probably best for younger couples on a tight budget, campers, or elder couples who still remember and value "the good old days" in small town America. In town dining is small town restaurants and fast food places.
Review 14:- We had a lot of bed bugs in our first room (no 7). From very small until 6 mm, so they were there for a long time. - Obtained another room because of the bed bugs for our first night. Although we left some of our stuff in this room, housekeeping removed our stuff and the room was given to another guest although we didn't checked out and still had the key of this room (security issue). We therefore had 3 different rooms for 2 nights. - All our rooms had something broken such as tiles, the sink, the water disposal of the bath or something else in the room. - The rooms are old fashioned and not that clean. - The staff isn't nice and makes strange jokes. They rather see you pay and leave.
Review 15:- Limited distance to Bryce Canyon NP. - Free parking of the car inside the garage of the hotel. - (shared) fridge.
Review 16:Original room was dirty. Manager said he did not employ someone to clean. Given another room. Blood on pillow and black marks on sheet. Coffee machine broken, offered use of kettle but that did not work. Blind fell off.
Review 17:Getting away.
Review 18:Shabby reception area Shabby guy on reception Lack of staff you have to go to the sister hotel a 5 minute drive away if you need help. Poor WiFi only works in reception area which has lots of flies buzzing around. Basin drain bathroom blocked & back filled. 45 minute drive to Bryce
Review 19:Clean sheets on bed Good garage facility
Review 20:Staff were not available as needed but they did answer calls just kind of weird that no one at the front desk during the day.
Review 21:They had a large kitchen that we could use whenever needed. And the staff were very friendly and helping us to our needs.
Review 22:Back view wasn't great.
Review 23:My son lost his car key and they were nice to let us keep everything in the back room and continue to look for our key. They told us where to eat and what stores were good to visit.
Review 24:checking in can be tricky as the owner has another hotel down the road so you might have to find them...but that said its a great location and cheap to..
Review 25:the rooms were large with 2 double beds we had a fridge and cable tv. the bathroom was dated but worked well.the location means at night the hotel is very quite which makes a change. the rooms were clean and tidy and all for a bargain £60 for 3 nights..
Review 26:parking was somewhat dark and difficult to find... needs better signage.
Review 27:it felt like we were experiencing travel in another era, right in the center of town with access to whatever was available within walking distance. the proprietor seemed unfriendly, but actually had a sense of humor and gave us advice about where to eat and what was open in town....
Review 28:We were literally the only two people in the hotel. In the morning a notice was at the front desk that an emergency had called the desk person away. Hotel is old and in dire need of cleaning and refurbishing. Beds were ok. Carpet in room ok. Shower no! People in town said, "I'm sorry." When we told them where we stayed. If you are a backpacker and it's the only thing available it's ok. Sorry but it's creepy and the owners could improve it. Don't stay here.
Review 29:Location to national parks and gorgeous area.
Review 30:Great little town. Arby's in gas station down the street has excellent food. Great place to stock up on supplies when visiting Bryce Canyon and Capital Reef. Restaurant next door serves an excellent breakfast.
Review 31:The pillows were like big bricks, hardest damn pillow I'd ever seen! The room could have been cleaner.
Review 32:Well I guess if we had been there a week earlier there would have been a lot more stores and restaurants opened. The end of September the whole town shuts down for winter. Not a lot of places to dine. We found a pizza joint 5 or 6 blocks away that was actually really good. No alcohol though!
Review 33:Room was not clean. Showers offered a very meager amount of water. Toilet and wash basin didn't work. Carpet worn out and looked like it had not seen a vacuum clener this year. Behind the table we found an old pair of shorts covered with dust. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!
Review 34:Looked nice on the outside. Reasonably close to Bryce Canyon
Review 35:Staff wasn't always on duty and the accommodations felt more like a bunk house. Hotel was kind of run down.
Review 36:Location was excellent for visiting Bryce Canyon and close to two restaurants in town. Other guests were quiet so sleeping was not interrupted.
Review 37:Vertical blinds didn't keep out the light or give privacy. Room was very small. Flashing traffic lights reflected on the wall in the room making it difficult to sleep. Pillows were very hard.
Review 38:Manager was friendly. Great Location. Internet worked. Bathroom was clean. Easy on site parking.
Review 39:Our room was by the sign and some inside the window shades would help keep the light out a little better.
Review 40:Very nice people. Know the area well and even had fishing tips for the local lake.
Review 41:Air conditioner was very noisy. Carpet seemed dirty. Pillows could be upgraded. Entry carpet to hotel should be changed.
Review 42:Staff was pleasant Group area for dining was interesting.
Review 43:It could use some new window blinds and a new shower. They are a bit dated.
Review 44:Great location in the heart of downtown. The community kitchen is a unique feature. Free Wi-Fi and Satellite TV. The bed was comfortable enough. The A/C worked, although a bit loud. Liquor store right next door!
Review 45:Old building, room not super clean and a general sense of carelessness. The wifi was very slow and unstable.
Review 46:Good value for money. The room had all the essential amenities. Free ice.
Review 47:The owner was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome
Review 48:One towel for 2 people. No refrigerator in the room.
Review 49:Good WiFi
Review 50:Kitchen is awesome, good supermarket nearby. Friendly manager. Located close to Bryce canyon. Good covered parking. Clean, comfortable room.
Review 51:Like the small town atmosphere
Review 52:size/quality
Review 53:location/price
Review 54:No shampoo offered, no refrigerator, very small television.
Review 55:Fairly close to Bryce, covered parking.
Review 56:Plumbing problems, slowness of staff to respond.
Review 57:ad said it was historical...the only reason it was historical was that it wasn't updated in 30 years.
Review 58:Window on main street and blinds did not cover the window so people could see in and lights shown in at night keeping me awake.
Review 59:convenience to area
Review 60:nice location, friendly staff, spacious 3-beds room
Review 61:little or no hot water in room. disorganized. kitchen facilities nice to have but really dirty
Review 62:There was no one at the front desk to greet us. We had to call and wait for someone to come and check us in.
Review 63:Quaint town near Bryce Canyon.
Review 64:No breakfest. Don't drink from bathroom sink.
Review 65:Only place in town for weekend Old but clean.
Review 66:Very Friendly Staff. Great food within walking distance.
Review 67:Bed was too firm.
Review 68:Old-time hotel in a cute old-time town.
Review 69:Steep stairs and no elevator
Review 70:Good value. Clean and we'll kept. Great hosts.
Review 71:Big room and wi-fi.
Review 72:dirty, and overall feel of room not cared for. i would not recommend it.
Review 73:The hotel was a bit run down and old looking.
Review 74:We liked the location of the hotel.
Review 75:it is very close to bryce you can make your own food
Review 76:The Inn lacks a fridge. And be ready for ants flying in summer, the may like the place.
Review 77:Strange Place!! We found a note on the reception desk that the desk staff didn't show up to work (it's a quite common problem in the region, this was written as well!) and we should come to the Marianna Inn at the end of town. The Panguitch Inn Front door was open and no staff around, did not feel very secure. We had to move to the Marianna Inn but we did not want stay anyway in a place where everyone can walk in anytime. Would never book at Panguitch Inn again.
Review 78:The lady at the Marianna Inn reception desk was very friendly.
Review 79:Very basic hotel. The owner (who was very friendly) said he had been running the hotel for 22 years. I don't think anything has been updated within this time. The rooms are tired and the hotel could do with a total refurbishment.
Review 80:There is an under cover garage to leave your car and the owner provides the use of a kitchen to prepare your own meals.
Review 81:the rooms was dirty, the carpet had seen better days, the blinds were falling apart, different lenght looked like some kind of modern art
Review 82:kitchen to use for everyone which was really nice
Review 83:Parking I was charged an additional $12 a day after checkout for unknown reasons. AMEX credited the amount. Check your statement if using a credit card for additional unauthorized charges.
Review 84:Included no breakfast, no trailer parking and small bathroom. Iftraveling alone this would not be a problem. Safety devices such aselectrical receptacle covers missing. These prohibit the spread of fire.No smoke or fire detectors.
Review 85:It was clean and water was hot. I have stayed in a lot worse.
Review 86:Lobby was out dated. A little messy looking behind counter which youcould see when coming down the stairs. While walking into place, therewere ashtrays filled with cigarette butts.
Review 87:Once you got pass the out dated lobby, rooms were clean and nice size.We had gotten our room and went to have dinner and our room was given toanother group. There was a mix-up in communication. We were givenanother room if equal size.
Review 88:bathtube wasn't too clean, whole house rather old but fits in the whole cowboy-style-town.
Review 89:kitchen w/ fridge, microwave, oven, dishes for guests to prepare meals! free wifi and one pc for free use. quiet at night.
Review 90:Things were a little run down very low water pressure This is a no maidservice hotel
Review 91:Location...Our room looked out onto main st which is a quaintliitle area. Within walking to movie, grocery store, ice cream, funlittle shops
Review 92:Our beds didn't have top sheets! And it was very difficult if notimpossible to get help with housekeeping issues like that late at night. We just slept in our sleeping bags.
Review 93:This was a fun, historic hotel right in the middle of tiny Panguitch.Bonus perk was a huge ice machine that allowed one to fill a cooler. The hotel also had many area maps displayed on the wall and that was agreat feature.
Review 94:everything was perfect
Review 95:The staff were friendly, helpful and eager to share about their community. great value. This is a small cowboy town with lots of history and fun to visit
Review 96:No real complaints, except the wifi did not work upon arrival and formuch of the first day. It seemed to be resolved the next day however.
Review 97:There was no one on the desk at the Panguitch Inn and we were directedto the Marianna Inn. Here we were freely upgraded from a queen to a kingsuite. The room was clean, air con'd and had a brand new bed, andwas essentially everything we needed for a fair price.
Review 98:The staff at front desk was rude. Water from the bath sink was barely running. No shower soap, no hair dryer, Wifi super slow... Way overpriced for its value
Review 99:Hard to find something positive ....
Review 100:Doesn't look like an hotel. A bit scaring at first. Small town and all was closed at 8:30pm in May. No restaurant open.
Review 101:Location downtow. Easy parking except entrance width.
Review 102:WiFi was available only in front lobby.
Review 103:Excellent value. Located near Bryce Canyon National Park, Dixie National Forest, and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Liked having a full kitchen for preparing our own meals.
Review 104:neighbors a bit loud

Review 106:Very close to Bryce canyon
Review 107:AC stopped working. Full kitchen available for use - but beware - you have to bring your own food.
Review 108:Location and cost.
Review 109:Everything is a bit old and shabby.
Review 110:Nice location, close to bryce canyon
Review 111:Excellent, well equipped kitchen in Mariana Inn.
Review 112:carpet stained in lobby. room the chairs were stained on seats. windows were poorly covered. we had to get a sheet to cover the window.
Review 113:We liked the kitchen with full cooking facilities.
Review 114:given the number of establishments in the area I thought the hotel was expensive for what you got.
Review 115:The owner was very friendly
Review 116:motel was closed (no customers)
Review 117:place is a disaster
Review 118:The whole place was filthy. Stained sheets, mold everywhere, dead bugs in the carpet. Absolutely disgusting.
Review 119:Very old downtown building. Nothing but the room provided. Had to drive to the restaurant.
Review 120:Bed had cleen sheets.
