Reviews for Greensprings Vacation Resort By Diamond Resorts

Review 1:The check-in was easy and there was little pressure for the time-share hard sell. When I asked about a late check-out they were very accommodating and gave us until noon. The unit was clean and well furnished and equipped. The beds and linens were exceptionally nice. It was very spacious. We were just here for one night for a family event so we didn't use any of the facilities.

Review 2:The complex was very clean and well kept, it even had all the unthought of amenities such as kitchen utensils & cookware, a wonderful fireplace, and a balcony porch with a beautiful view of the surrounding nature. It made sense why their slogan is "Welcome Home" because it truly felt like a very high end home with an even better staff

Review 3:I asked to receive no phone calls and on check out day they called my room and tried to sell me timeshare

Review 4:The layout of the suite.the location and staff friendliness.

Review 5:Uncomfortable furniture. Maintenance a little lacking i.e., ice maker. Communications a bit lacking between facilities maintenance and front desk. Was booked to property area where painting was being done. Had to relocate and it was raining. So could have better communication so guests are not inconvenienced.. Nice

Review 6:Lots of space. Nice scenery. Great Staff and customer service.

Review 7:The location seems a bit in the middle of nowhere and it was disappointing that the fireplace was electric and strictly for ambiance (i.e. it doesn't give off heat). There is some obvious wear and tear within the units, but not so much that it couldn't be justified by the price.

Review 8:Very spacious accommodation, easy check-in/out, great price, and friendly staff. The view off the balcony nicely accompanied my morning coffee.

Review 9:We asked for extra creamer and they brought us a bag full of the kits that have sugar, creamer, stir sticks. It was more odd than something I didn't like. One staff person needed some professionalism training....sad part, she may have been the manager on duty as she wasn't wearing the uniform like the other front desk folks.

Review 10:We had to use the sleeper sofa and much to our surprise it was like a temper-pedic, not the usual coil mattress that are usually worn out and miserable!

Review 11:My family was very pleased with everything. We had a very good Thanksgiving celebration. The apartment unit was clean and had all we needed for our stay. Thanks

Review 12:We stayed in a two bedroom unit because we were on a family vacation. The unit was so clean and comfortable. We got a great deal through booking.com. Security was excellent. There are guards at the gate 24/7. I felt so safe the entire time. Will definitely stay there again.

Review 13:THE PARKING. Considering the number of units in each circle there was not enough parking. When our daughter arrived she had to park down the road in another section and walk to our unit in the dark.

Review 14:The cleanliness of the unit, the quality of the linens, the ease of the key access and most of all, the shower (loved the water pressure - felt like a spa.)

Review 15:Parking! There should be one space designated for each unit. We had to park on the street and it was raining hard. Some units had 2 or 3 cars taking up space because everyone in the unit drove their individual car. ?

Review 16:Convenience of lication

Review 17:The resort did not appear to be regularly maintained. The outlet socket was detached from the wall and there was a burnt iron mark in the carpet, to name a few things.

Review 18:Check-in was cumbersome. After a long drive with 4 kids, the staff would not allow my husband to check-in for us. Once I did check-in, I did not like being sent to the 'Concierge' desk. The person checking me in would not tell me why I needed to go to the Concierge, and the Concierge employee asked the same information from me as the check-in employee including needing to see my id. I was then under a high-pressure sales pitch and confused about the whole thing. I have never been to a hotel/resort and experienced this. After repeatedly telling the employee I was not interested in saving money, being entered into a raffle, or an info session etc -- I was finally 'released' to go to our condo. Bad experience.

Review 19:Lots of space in the unit. Enjoyed having the full kitchen. Great amenities with indoor pool and mini golf.

Review 20:Staff not that helpful. More interested in selling than customer service.

Review 21:Excellent unit and location! The staff member at the Welcome Center Gifting office was super!

Review 22:Need more activities for teens and young adults. No continental breakfast. No pet allowed policy. Some of the furnishings are outdated.

Review 23:The amenities were good...location is good also. Spacious rooms. Sofa bed was excellent for sleeping(memory foam) mattress. Very acomodating for all 12 members of my family...we had two 2Br.with lock off apts. Overall experience was excellent.

Review 24:I didn't like the timeshare push! I was hit with the timeshare after checking in. Timeshare was suppose to be 1 hour and a half. It turned into three hours! Need more bowls for mixing in the kitchen.

Review 25:I liked the hot tub indoors. The indoor pool was quite cold. I loved the patio overlooking the waterfall and nature. The kids had fun and was entertained while we attended the timeshare meeting.

Review 26:I have been there before. The apartment we stayed before was cleaner and bigger and better taken care of. this time it was lacking cleanliness and it was very very very old!

Review 27:I like the amenities like the pool and the equipped kitchen

Review 28:There was vomit on the floor but called housekeeping and they came right away to clean the carpet.

Review 29:Best best I've slept in at a hotel! Clean comfortable and quiet! First time traveling with a baby and it was great! Close enough to town but just far enough away.

Review 30:I did not like seeing ants in the kitchen area where I needed to prepare food.

Review 31:I liked that the area was quiet and relaxing. The pool area was nice with being family oriented.

Review 32:Room was filthy upon arrival. Bathroom door was broken off the hinges, The WIFI was a joke.

Review 33:Pool, tennis courts, putt putt, location, all satisfactory.

Review 34:Unit building was not cleaned during our stay - very dirty in stairwells. Wifi was horrible - did not work properly the entire time we were there.

Review 35:The pool was great - very nice and so were the grounds!

Review 36:Condo was starting to show it's age. Wasn't thrilled to walk in bathroom and see cabinet door hanging by one hinge or have kitchen cabinet door do the same thing when I opened it. The place was spotlessly clean but just looked tired.

Review 37:The grounds were very well kept and our condo was clean. Well worth the money spent.

Review 38:10am checkout is early.

Review 39:Great favilities and eventhough its a timeshare place you are under no obligation to attend a briefing. We did not and had a fantastic time

Review 40:Pool had too much chlorine! My children's skin was raw from chlorineand scabbed up. Didn't inform us no cleaning service for clientsstaying 4 days or less, no elevator, annoying 3 floir walk up withsuitcases and vacation gear. Facilities filled with cobbwebs atentryways (insude and out).

Review 41:Location was great, nice staff, but not the most informative. Wonderfultourist attraction discounts.

Review 42:We had several groups in our reunion and we were all in same location. We had ages from 1yr - 65 yrs and everyone enjoyed the pools abd yard area in front if our area.

Review 43:Shower head was painful. Needle-like. Also don't like the way they push the time share meeting on you at check in. I received a call prior to check in and I informed them I wasn't interested, yet at check in, I was told I was already booked to attend. I realize I could've said no, but the incentives made it worth it. Still, the "push" was a bit aggressive.

Review 44:Location & amenities

Review 45:Our room was somewhat dirty. Dust hanging from closet doors. Stair well entering facility was stained and had something spilled and stained.

Review 46:All the amenities were great

Review 47:There was one pushy employee at the front that did not understand the word no when I specifically told her I was not interested in a tour or purchasing info. She became very rude with my spouse.

Review 48:All of the accomodations and the facilities

Review 49:The wifi that is part of the amenities is horrible very bad connections cuts in and out I would not recommend it

Review 50:The apartment was clean and very spacious and just like the pictures

Review 51:Calls to try and get you to take a timeshare tour

Review 52:The pool and minature golf were great for the grandkids. Location to theme parks was less than ten minutes away which was great because you could leave the parks and then come back to them later. Very clean & a great deal for the money.

Review 53:i had made a mistake and wrote the wrong arrival date. Front desk had cancelled reservation and refused to reinstate it. Main office accommodated our request. Room was suppose to have wifi did not work. Bathroom floor needed a good mopping . Otherwise very nice.

Review 54:room was very nice

Review 55:The condo could use better light for reading. The club chairs in the main living area were pretty uncomfortable. Not that big a deal since we were gone most of the time.

Review 56:Convenient location. This was a short trip for a high school graduation held nearby. Excellent master bedroom suite.

Review 57:The frogs in the pond are so loud, couldn't sleep, brought a fan with next time and it was perfect!

Review 58:Our two bedroom room was above my expectations.

Review 59:I didn't like the location because we arrived without a car. There was no on site restaurant nor were groceries available within walking distance. I didn't like having to attend a sales promotion.

Review 60:The apartment was spacious and comfortable.

Review 61:The condo was a little dated with stained carpet, old fixtures. It was not like what was advertised. The 7:30 am flower planting with power post hole digger was not what I wanted to wake up to, but it did give me a great idea for planting made easier at home.

Review 62:Excellent value for the money. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. We did not utilize all of the facilities. I would rent here again but my expectations wouldn't be as high.

Review 63:Couldn't check until at least four and early checkout at 10

Review 64:Room was clean and had everything you needed and housekeeping or staff did not bother you . Place was quiet and comfortable .

Review 65:Need more efficient locks on the doors of the cottage. My 3 year old daughter had a great time opening the door from the inside. We had to put a chair in front of the door to prevent her from opening. Very scary

Review 66:The only thing we was disappointed about was that the jet tube was not clean and we did'nt get a chance to us it.

Review 67:I like the setting of being at home away from home.

Review 68:The master suite was a little firm for my taste, but that's just a prsonal preference. Although it was warm outside, I would like to have been ablr to easily turn on the fireplace just for the romantic effect. Couldnt find the "ON" button.

Review 69:We thoroughly enjoyed the scenery (watching the golfers right from the back patio), the location (just a few short minutes away from buffet of any kind of stores, entertainment and other necessities ), the room layout was very spacious with all the modern amenities one could ask for. The scenery on the property alone made the stay that much more enjoyable. Security was on the mark and even delivered a surprise I had for my wife to our room after it was delivered to the front desk.

Review 70:We did not realize when we booked that this was a time share, so the daily calls were annoying. We were in the bottom apt. And the noise from the upper floor woke us several times each night.

Review 71:The rooms were large and contained everything we needed for a weeks stay. The property is close to everywhere we wanted to visit. Overall a good value for what we paid.

Review 72:One staff member had an attitude when trying to help me, wasnt professional.Rooms look nothing like the model, wanted me to have a credit card to have an orientation about getting into a timeshare there.

Review 73:I liked the location

Review 74:I didn't like that we got a place someone else was staying in! So we had to go back after a long drive with kids to get a new apt. And the staff made it seem like it was not a BIG DEAL.

Review 75:Our stay was very nice. We had a 2 bedroom apt. With 2 bathrooms and a pull out sofa and a fireplace.

Review 76:We attended a "presentation" to buy into the Diamond Resorts via point system. When arrive if you do not want to attend the presentation tell them "NO"! I wish I had!

Review 77:The staff was extremely friendly. The room was a great for the price. Clean and large units.

Review 78:The lack of HD TV signal was disappointing. TVs were in every bedroom and living room, but offered low-def service only. Wifi service was also included for free, but was painfully slow.

Review 79:Rooms (suites, really) were large, clean, comfortable. Excellent value for the price.

Review 80:We randomly found this place. Little did I know it was literally an apartment 2 bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a huge master bathroom. The decor is definitely in need of a renovation. That would be my only complaint though. It was very clean and spacious and for 130 a night well worth it. We do plan to go back when we can stay longer. Amenities were outstanding with an outdoor and indoor pool washer and dryer in the master suite it's a great place to plan a full out vacation or just a weekend getaway

Review 81:We went during the winter and there was not enough blankets on the beds (just a sheet and thin blanket). Kitchen was outdated. Not a lot of dresser space.

Review 82:The room was very spacious and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. When we checked-in they gave us a ton of info about what was going on in the area and at the resort, this helped us to plan our week. The outdoor pool was closed because it was to cold outside but the indoor pool was warm and very clean. We used the on site mini golf course and it was a ton of fun! The tub in the master bath was a added bonus that we used daily!

Review 83:After you check-in, you are sent to "Welcome Desk". The lady asked us if we wanted to attend a presentation. We accepted the invite and she immediately stated that, 'there is $20 hold that will be placed in the card and that she could use the card that is already on file.' Before giving us an opportunity to decide how we would like her to charge us for the holding fee- cash or credit- she immediately charged my card without my permission and did not tell us. My boyfriend handed her his card and she swiped his card pretending to charge it. It was not until the next night, that I reviewed my account and found out that she charged my card without my knowledge. The next day, when we went to turn in our keys, we informed her of what she had done, and she nonchalantly brushed it off and informed me that the money will be released upon my arrival to the presentation. My advice would be to make sure that you use some type of prepaid card for all transactions that are affiliated with any timeshare.

Review 84:I loved the fact that accommodations were very clean. Housekeeping staff stocked the entire condo with plenty of items such as additional towels, kitchen and bathroom products. I liked the fact that the registration staff was so welcoming and accommodated my request that I submitted 4 hours prior to my arrival. I will definitely stay here again.

Review 85:The hard sales pitch. Don't want to go through that again!

Review 86:We loved the indoor pool, big enough for lap swimming, and enjoyed general amenities. While location was great, rainy weather kept us indoors.

Review 87:My wife and I got sick the first night. I believe that this particular room was not disinfected properly. I can't say that it was from food eaten because my wife and I didn't eat the same food. I will stay again.

Review 88:Shopping convenience

Review 89:Greensprings did not have our reservation. I was told they did not get it from booking.com. Also the living room furniture was not comfortable, the apartment looked somewhat worn and the coffee machine was not empty or cleaned.

Review 90:Large flat screen TV and in bedrooms too.

Review 91:I originally booked with booking.com requesting a ground floor because of my "disabled child. I called the resort on 2 different occasions to remind them of my son's disability. because he cannot walk up and down the stairs since he's In a wheelchair. The manager told me they didn't have any availability and there wasn't anything he can do to help us... I explained to him about my son's condition and that we drove almost 10 hours to make it to this place... He showed no caring whatsoever and told my husband and I "sorry I can't help you" Because we didn't want to ruin our children thanksgiving vacation; and we had no other options but to stay and accept a second floor stay... Both my husband and I have back problems. We carried my disabled son to and from the 2nd floor. However, we were forced to spend our vacation in our room. Since it wouldn't be fair to go out and visit while our disabled son is left alone in the room....

Review 92:Very nice and clean place

Review 93:The deposit isnt given back promptly

Review 94:I really enjoyed the whole experience my fiance and myself went for our anniversary.. we got exactly what we wanted

Review 95:After the cost of the room was deducted from my account there was a $100.00 hold placed on my account. I needed that money for travel and it didn't get released for 4 days. I also got charged a $5.55 resort fee twice. If you go there check your bill!

Review 96:Very roomy

Review 97:we were on the third floor. The steps were ALOT for my senior parents.

Review 98:nice indoor and outdoor pools. spacious 2 bedrooms, especially liked sitting on the balcony with my coffee in the mornings! very peaceful.

Review 99:They charge for wi-fi,yet the wifi signal is at one bar or none at all. We couldn't use any electronics, they give you an outside number to get IT help, who calls you back the following day and basically they have a weak signal and can't fix it. Beware of timeshare sales people calling your number that you give at check-in, it's been 3 weeks and they keep cold calling.

Review 100:Nice pool facility, rooms are clean and quiet.

Review 101:The only drawback was that it was a timeshare property and they kept trying to get us to participate in the hard sell time share meeting. We kept declining the multiple offers to buy into the time share. Other than that no complaints.

Review 102:Everything. The property was fabulous. It was clean secured and well maintained. We had a two bedroom apartment on the first floor and it was exceptionally large for our group of five. My son slept on the sofa bed which was the most comfortable sofa bed I have seen in a long time. The property even remembered the small details such as twin beds in the second room and a request to be on the first floor. I just knew they would forget but they did not. My only regret was that we did not stay longer.

Review 103:Needs to be updated. There were signs of abuse and decor was dated by a few decades.

Review 104:I think the price we paid was for the generous space we had. Bedrooms were big, beds were big, kitchen and living space were big.

Review 105:Nothing really

Review 106:We were able to check in early, which was perfect for us to get a nap in before heading off to the local parks. Everything was 15 mins away

Review 107:Could have used more upkeep on the interior. Also could have been cleaner on the inside, especially the Fitness Room.

Review 108:We enjoyed our stay there, conveniently located.

Review 109:The room did not seem to be cleaned all that well. The concierge tried the hard sell to sit through the two hour timeshare presentation. The walls seemed to be quite thin. When we checked in, the outside garbage cans were overflowing. The entry ways and stairs to unit were dirty. The unit was not one of the remodeled. The shower in the master bath had layers of mold.

Review 110:Location was perfect. Unit was spacious and perfect for a family of 5. Unit had full kitchen and washer and dryer. Complex had pool. TV in every room.

Review 111:The beds were comfortable (I slept like a baby all four nights), and the bathrooms were immaculate. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking meals. We expected to find old beat up pots and pans. Instead, they were modern, Teflon, almost brand-new-looking cookware. And everything worked. The chairs in the living room were so comfortable, I feel asleep as soon as I sat down in one. (That was after a LONG day in the park.) This will definitely be our place to stay whenever we're in Williamsburg!

Review 112:The 2nd bathroom could not be used to shower in. The handle for the tub/shower had been removed and was sitting on the sink. Our 4 children had to take turns showering in the master bathroom. This delayed our dinner plans since 6 people took turns in one shower. We reported it as soon as we checked in and entered the United. We were told someone would be in to fix it. No one came. I then attempted to put our laundry I'm before we left for dinner. I saw there was a lot of free standing water in the laundry closet around the water heater and washing machine. I called the front desk again and advised of this additional problem and reminded them of the shower on the 2nd bathroom. They again said someone was coming out to fix. We waited. No one came. Another hour later I called a 3rd time and said we had been waiting and are now leaving for dinner. It was 845 at this point. They said someone will come while we are out. We go out, come back at 1030. No one had been out. I called a 4th time. They said someone is coming right then to bring us keys to switch to another unit which I would have appreciated the first time I called. It's now 11:00 and my husband called a 5 th time to say nevermind, our children have now fallen asleep. They brought the key at 11:30. We stayed in our original room and in the morning used the other unit only to do the laundry. Housekeeping promptly came at 10 so we had to leave with our laundry wet.

Review 113:This timeshare is a gated. The property is manicured beautifully. The pool was very nice and up to standards similar to a Hilton timeshare. The beds were comfortable and shower was nice. The balcony overlooked a pond with a fountain. It was relaxing scenery. Private entrance is nice. The unit size is excellent. The pull out couch was great. The mattress was memory foam.

Review 114:indoor pool was not heated, A/C did not reach master bedroom, constant nagging from the sales team, given a room on the third floor when I made it clear that we had 3 children who aren't always quiet,

Review 115:room was spacious, decent location to the local town for food and shopping

Review 116:Being a frequent visitor to this resort, I asked for a refurbished unit and told I was being placed in one. NO - not correct. The carpet was filthy, the cabinets in the kitchen were very worn with veneer peeling off the bottoms - the refrigerator was wobbly and door hard to close. The cute little note left under the beds that read "yes, I cleaned under your bed" had visible trash (candy wrappers) under the bed. I have always raved about this resort, but this time, was very disappointed/

Review 117:A frequent visitor to the Williamsburg area, I find the location of Greensprings is great. The pool is wonderful and the staff is always friendly and helpful

Review 118:I loved the location. My kids love the dive and dine movie nights. It was close to shopping and the staff was great. We rented 3 rooms and everyone has the same response. The rooms were clean when we got their and maintenance's response was fast when my water was not hot in my shower. I would stay here again.

Review 119:The staff in the check in area not once asked how my stay was or could they do anything for us, they were only looking to sell us our next stay. When asking for directions, staff did not know how to get around the area.

Review 120:The apartment was big. Good location. Easy to get around. Outdoor pool was very nice.

Review 121:Booking.com had outdated information about the resort and had incorrect information on my reservation. I would recommend Greensprings but not booking.com.

Review 122:The resort was fabulous.

Review 123:I did not like the narrow steps leading to the 2nd & 3rd floors. It is difficult trying tonnage luggage up narrow steps. Also, the parking is not limited to each building so late night arrivals often have to park and walk several building over.

Review 124:The apartments are spacious and comfortable.

Review 125:pushy salespeople long walk to pool/activities center distance to restaurants/shopping not walkable

Review 126:Clean spacious condo kitchen large dining room large master/bath

Review 127:I didn't like the fact that we did not receive any house keeping services the whole entire stay there. I think that the condos need to be cleaned on the day to day basis. I shouldnt of had to call for clean towel everyday. If hose keeping was provided this wouldn't have been an issue. There was no cleaning product for the bathtub.

Review 128:I like that the condo's where nice and spacious. The condos had everything I needed.

Review 129:The late check-in time (5:00). The time made us endure excessive traffic jams as well as less time vacationing.

Review 130:The activities, security , cleanliness and quality of maintenance.

Review 131:not all units are the same, some are updated and feel upscale, you need to ask for a unit with granite so you get most updated.

Review 132:comfort, spacious, clean, showers are awesome! Beds are luxurious. Granite counter tops, feels upscale.

Review 133:The sales pitch..they start when you check in. Won't take not interested for an answer, called us every morning before we were awake to with sales pitch to buy time share. Another adjoining unit was cooking food that was unpleasant smelling - and it penetrated into our unit and was sickening. Our parking spot (you get one with your unit) was used by others every time we came back - had to carry small children in pouring rain for couple blocks to find parking spot.

Review 134:Nice location, nice size condo.

Review 135:I have Nothing bad to say.

Review 136:We were overjoyed when we walked into our condo! We have 5 people and staying here allowed everyone to have their own privet space. We weren't all squished into one small hotel room. Staying here was an added bonous to our trip! Only 15 minutes to all the attractions, close to all the fine dinning, and beautiful grounds. It's everything you want when your traveling! Click book! And you'll have no regrets!! (It is a time share but you don't have to be a member and they take the words " no thank you" very kindly. ) worth the upgraded price as opposed to staying at a hotel.

Review 137:I think they must have thin ceilings because we could hear every time the people above us moved. Didn't sound like they were running or jumping, just typical walking could wake you from a dead sleep in the middle of the night. The unit we stayed in did not have adequate parking for our building, 12 units and 8 parking spaces. We had to park further down which put us in front of another building. Biggest complaint was the noise we could hear from the unit above us. Next time we would ask for a top level unit.

Review 138:I like the space we had, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen had plenty of utensils and dishes, tall shower heads, very spacious. Very, very clean. Pools were clean and had plenty of activities for the kids.

Review 139:The hot tub was inoperable at the time of our visit. I was also placed in a basement condo that was frequented by spiders (OMG) and other bugs. I was also bit by some type of mites from the dirty linens, I suppose, which required medication upon my return home. All-in-all, this was the worst visit. Not sure if I will vacation there again.

Review 140:I liked the kitchen facilities and how they were equipped.
