Review 5：Hotel retained a further aud204 debit for 10 days following our briefaud 650 stay. This was totally unacceptable. We were offered a usd25credit in lieu of breakfast. It was mediocre, drinks were too wellspiced with ice and service was flippant. We deserved better from whatappeared to be a hotel favouring young pretentious yuppies. We areexperienced global travellers and do not make these comments lightly.

Review 6：For a 6 hour transit from Los Angeles airport it was a good locationfor beach and ambience, though still several blocks from the beach.Myles appeared to be the only attendant who showed any consideration,and ensured a prompt taxi back to lax when several other staff failedto respond.

Review 7：Great rooms, nice features, close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. EASY walk down to the beach. Usually stay at beachfront places but this was great, grab a coffee and head on down to the pier. Great place to take photos.

Review 8：We found the jacuzzi tub in the middle of the room a little cheesy especially with the disco lights. Foam memory mattress and pillows not my favorite. Room was very dark.

Review 12：The Shade Hotel is in a wonderful location in Manhattan Beach. Manhattan Beach is a great fun neighborhood with easy access to LAX. There are plenty of shops and restaurants and also a wonderful beach for swimming.

Review 21：We are guessing that the pool motor was just above our room and was very noisy until around 10pm at night. as we were were travelling for business and had jetlag we went to bed early, but were disturbed every ten minutes by the motor turning on for about 15 minutes every ten minutes or so.

Review 80：Event was being held at the hotel during out stay. It lead to terrible service, unable to relax at the hotel. Attempted to reserve a package for the room, and valet parking - they never processed our request, ended up getting parking tickets from a public lot. The price is far too much for what you get, the room is full of little bits of food/drink that are a rip-off. Spend your hard earned money somewhere where you get more than just a pretty room.

If you have the chance to stay in this hotel even for one night..do it! It's worth it! The booking.com website did notspecify the lack of two beds on my receipt so when I checked in I had noproof that I booked a room with two beds. I called Booking.com and wasinformed there was a link I missed when placing the reservation. Veryfar from LA...took us 1.5 hours to go to West Hollywood No towel rodsbut cherry wood boxes to put your wet towels in don't really cut it.No business center to speak of spa in the middle of the room with goofypleasure lighting Poor lighting in room, too dark no pool it is a largeroman tub and dirty and rusted. Myexperience has been that young staff equates to inattention to detail.Close to lax. Good breakfast buffet, good coffee and loved the lox andbagels and fruit. Great beach location but not for kids. Valet parkingwas convenient and for $20 per day totally worth it. I am from Chicagoand we pay so much more for parking.
