Reviews for Meadowmere Resort

Review 1:We were in the building behind the main building on the second floor. No elevator-difficult with luggage. The bathroom too tiny. House maid did not leave the toiletries the second night.

Review 2:We have stayed here before always the main building which was always excellent. Love the atmosphere of the lobby and the pub. Coffee should be in the lobby longer than 6 pm however and the pub open at 3pm not 4pm.

Review 3:Wifi was horrid, we're talking not even 1mbs up or down which sucked as I had work to do when I got back. Bed was way too soft for me and seemed sort of lumpy, I had a hard time sleeping. For half the price of what I paid it would've been awesome, but I found the room outdated and uncomfortable. Also, this didn't seem like a resort to me, but it seemed to be what most of the hotels in the area were calling themselves.

Review 4:Staff was super nice! Spa bath in room was nice although I found the location (beside the bed) disconcerting. Room was clean, but outdated and worn.

Review 5:We've been doing this weekend for about 10 years, the last several years staying at the Meadowmere. You are super!!!! The cleanliness, the convenience to everything, the frendliness of both staff and other guests, the Pub - all make for an enjoyable stay. See you next year!

Review 6:We've stayed here before and it has become our "go to" place. Always immaculate, great facilities, great location, always very friendly and accommodating. Love it!

Review 7:No bad experience, just disappointed the Pub was only open on the weekend. We thought the facility had its own restaurant/lounge which was part of the appeal. We didn't know it had limitations on when it was open.

Review 8:The facility was well kept and I loved the pool and hot tub.

Review 9:My room was right near an entrance door so every time someone came in to our building I would hear that door opening and closing and then it would make the door to my room shake. At first the constant noice made me nervous, since I was alone, then I got used to it. The other thing was I was looking forward to a quiet morning and then a company came to to empty out the water in the indoor Jacuzzi. It was extremely loud. There went my quiet morning of relaxing or using the jacuzzi. Funny, when I was there last year, it was the outdoor jacuzzi that was closed. I seem to have bad luck.

Review 10:This is actually one of my favorite places to stay. The location is great. The grounds were decorated beautifully. I also enjoyed the outdoor fire pits they had.

Review 11:breakfast not so much, most of the items are donuts, and hard broiled egg. Serve the same thing every morning. Very weak WIFI. I was expecting to do some work while staying there, but could due to poor reception. Bed is somewhat uncomfortable

Review 12:I like the indoor pools, onsite fitness, very clean. Family friendly, close to route 1 and the square. Friendly staff

Review 13:A little difficult for the handicapped. Moving from B'ldg to B'ldg for breakfast. Difficult to move around in breakfast room. All comments here are handicapped related. Certainly does not effect our overall Favorable opinion,

Review 14:Very pleasant staff. Very clean. Excellent breakfast. Great room.

Review 15:Nothing!!!

Review 16:Everything! You honestly, could just stay on the property and have a fantastic time! They have everything a couple, or a young family needs to have a great vacation. But, you can park your car and walk to everything! Or, take a trolley. Perfect spot!

Review 17:Wished the attached restaurant, pub, was open for afternoon snacks/drinks ( served only light breakfast when we were there). HEAT - 94 degrees - but this was no fault of the facility!

Review 18:We try to return to Ogunquit each year - this time we came after Labor Day and loved the relaxed atmosphere - fewer crowds, and slower pace. Room was spacious, very clean and pool not crowded.

Review 19:I thought that the indoor jacuzzi should have been hotter, and the outdoor hot tub should have been skimmed alot of little black bugs

Review 20:Liked the fact this has both indoor and outdoor pool (heated)and hot tub spa, also loved the movie theater. Also bar and restaurant, almost did not want to leave to see the town, just enjoyed the R&R

Review 21:The wifi was spotty at best. The price for a room with 2 double (not queen) beds was a bit steep. The breakfast was just ok, but convenient nonetheless- hard boiled eggs, cereal, toast, english muffins etc... Guests allowing children in the hot tub was annoying since there are signs that definitively say no one under 14- but that is just lack of parenting and not the resorts fault. The good DEFINITELY outweighs the bad here however.

Review 22:The staff is wonderful ( they go above and beyond in my opinion) the place is VERY clean, as was our room (thanks Erica), the furniture is nice and looks like real furniture rather than conventional hotel junk, landscaping beautiful as it is allover town. You can see some signs of wear and tear starting so I hope they keep up with it and don't allow it to get rundown. The location is pretty good, I would have preferred to be a bit closer to the water and town - our boys were a little tired of walking so much, but it was nice and quiet. The walk to the beach was about 15 min, the entrance to the Marginal Way was about 10 min. So breathtakingly beautiful.

Review 23:Air conditioner in the room was loud. It was a very hot weekend and we needed to keep it on during the night. It kept me awake or woke me up everytime it cycled on. Parking is a problem. They don't seem to have enough parking for the guests, it is very crowded and we had to get out and ask at the front desk where to park a couple of times.

Review 24:The pools were great. Lots of places to hang out. Pub service all day easily accessible.

Review 25:Wi-fi was weak. Maid only did a once over.

Review 26:Great location. Very convenient to everything. Also a good place to hang out and relax - pool and restaurant quite good.

Review 27:Wifi reception was weak. Breakfast could have waffles, bacon, omlettes. I think for the price htiese items are reasonable.

Review 28:The Roman bath. Staff was great.

Review 29:It feels like the rooms needed a little more updating. Apparently every room has been renovated but there were still things I saw that needed updating even within the room. For the price I would think the room would have the highest standard but it seemed like the bar, pool area, and other places around the facilities had nicer amenities than the room.

Review 30:I liked everything else about this place. The staff was very friendly. The outdoor pool was a very nice saltwater pool with an area to be connected to the on-site pub. These are amenities you don't find everywhere. They were nice to have even after the fact that you are within walking distance to Perkin's Cove and Ogunquit Beach. We will certainly be staying here again.

Review 31:The only problem we had was parking. We usually don't come to Ogunquit so early in the summer . The parking situation was difficult.

Review 32:The location of the Meadowmere was excellent. It is a lovely complex.

Review 33:Nothing..,all was good!

Review 34:So happy to have breakfast as part of the room cost. Having breakfast so close gives you the opportunity to enjoy the hotel a little bit more without rushing out for the entire day.

Review 35:Not bad but room had a smell of sewage or dirty diaper.

Review 36:Just about everything! Pools were heavenly. Game room was fun. Breakfast needed scramble eggs.

Review 37:Should provide a screened seated area in the corner of the property somewhere smokers can smoke. There are no smoking areas, no cigarette receptacles for those who choose to do so outside regardless.

Review 38:Room A/C was in a bad location and was not effective. Overall, room was adequate but small, especially bathroom & sink.

Review 39:Good location to enjoy walking around Ogunquit.

Review 40:i order nachos the were not good and wanted to send them back but the waitress seemed not concerned and when i ask to take them she did not.

Review 41:i was surprised to see a good continental breakfast. it had everything you needed for a full breakfast with hot and cold items.the room was great and comfortable bedding. housekeeping was good with requests. pool was great.. hotel is close to downtown and beach

Review 42:No complaints.

Review 43:The staff was so nice, we were allowed to park at noon time and relax by the pool. They helped out with local menus, and even let us leave our cars in the lot afyer chevk out for a while. The resort is awesome, lots to do, even a fire pit ! The complimentary breakfast was fabulous too! We will be back for sure :)

Review 44:The only negative was a few dark hairs in the shower .. Not ours. Otherwise it was a very nice stay at a fair price

Review 45:Location, the breakfast was great, the Roman Spa, the movie was all fun.

Review 46:The iron in the room had black scorched fabric on it and did not work well. Very uncomfortable pillows. Very tiny bathroom. No DVD player in room. No continental breakfast off season.

Review 47:The room was clean and attractive.

Review 48:The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were awesome. The free coffee in the morning was delicious. The location was perfect for what we had planned.

Review 49:Having free Wi-Fi in the room was very convenient, and a restaurant right next door that offered evening room service. The food at the restaurant was first class! We stayed during the winter, and definitely will go back.

Review 50:That there wasn't any room service for breakfast but other than that it was a great stay and we will be going back.

Review 51:I thought the staff were amazing, they were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

Review 52:Out dated rooms, too expensive for a 3 star, rooms are way too small and outdated. Nothing fun to do onsite, not crazy about going back.

Review 53:Quiet, close to everything

Review 54:It was very expensive for the stay. I could not justify going back. They must cater to a very wealthy clientele.

Review 55:Great facility, staff very obviously cares about upkeep, maintenance and guest comfort. Room was up to date, bed comfortable and Wi-Fi was strong enough to stream internet entertainment.

Review 56:I have stayed here a number of times and I have always been statisfied. The rooms have always been neat and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a wonderful please to stay whether by yourself or with friends. Easy access to all the attractions of Southern Maine.

Review 57:Balcony very small but we would have used it had the weather been better.

Review 58:Check in was fast and all the staff we dealt with were helpful and courteous. Rooms comfortable and clean.

Review 59:The free continental breakfast ended the day after we arrived as well as the pub. I traveled a month after a friend but paid more! Have of the town closed after Columbus Day which was the day after was arrived.

Review 60:The location was great and the weather was excellent! No need to take a car to town or to Perkins Cove. I liked having a balcony. The trolley was great.

Review 61:Love that it is a short walking distance to the coast. Perkins Cove is beautiful! Such a beautiful fall day to walk in Marginal Way. The boat cruise to Nubble Lighthouse was very enjoyable and educational. The restaurants are awesome especially Amore and The Wild Blueberry for breakfast. Saw a fun musical at the Ogunquit Playhouse! Then on the way home stopped at the Stonewall Kitchen! Has a great weekend overall! Would highly recommend the Meadowmere!!

Review 62:enjoyed the Roman Spa, very relaxing after along drive. Comp Breakfast every day, but we only ate there on our depart day, we got on the road quicker than going to a restaurant. Love the outside pool. Walking distance to ocean,

Review 63:No elevator Didn't tell us about the Continental breakfast. No local bathroom at the theater. Balcony too small Long time at the check-in When i got online to book the room it pulled up booking . com which didn't give us a credit for AAA. Sound in theater too low.

Review 64:Indoor theater good parking big pumpkin in front. The room looked nice.

Review 65:kind of noisy on the end rooms with people coming in late (from receptions, out for evening, etc.) and lingering in the hallway and opening and closing outside doors to first or second levels

Review 66:Helpfulness of the staff and courtesy. Speedy check in and out.

Review 67:I would not recommend staying in a room above the pub if you have an early "call."

Review 68:I loved all the amenities and the staff was amazing, but I think I will ask to stay in the separate lodging part of the Meadowmere where I have stayed in the past.I have found more peace and quiet on previous stays when away from the "action" especially when on a business trip in the future.

Review 69:The room we were in was on the main road and was not comfortable with the pool area having view in to room when the drapes were open.

Review 70:I liked that it was not right in the center of town. Also it was very comfortable to just hang out by the pool area and have drink and meal.

Review 71:There was not enough variety with the breakfast. The room refrigerator did not function well. The bed pillows were not comfortable. Everyday we walked by chairs by the pool that always had cigarette ashes on them.

Review 72:We liked the location and the value, the choice of outdoor and indoor pools, the friendly staff, the room upkeep. Breakfast was included. The hotel was relatively quiet. The beds were comfortable.

Review 73:Rooms small. Bathrooms you need to be a contortionist to maneuver. Better values in other stays in Ogunquit area. Site is congested at times between cars and patrons.

Review 74:Rooms were clean. Nice continental breakfast.

Review 75:Towels rather thin. Paper products low quality.

Review 76:15 minute walk to beach. Onsite complimentary breakfast. Convenience of first floor rooms with small patio. Very nice outdoor hot tub.

Review 77:For the price (almost 275 a night), no included breakfast nor kitchenette. Compared to some appartment that are closer to the beach for à better price. Very very very slow wi-fi.

Review 78:Cinéma and pools for children.

Review 79:This was my 1st time and what a beautiful Place to stay. From the grounds to the staff to the continental breakfast. Not a single bad thought. I wished I had time to enjoy the pool/hot tub. We went next door to Jonathans Restaurant and that was just as perfect. You will NOT go wrong staying at Meadowmere.... I am soooo excited to go back and stay again.

Review 80:Excellent amenities, indoor saltwater jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor pools and outdoor jacuzzi all beautifully maintained. Kids loved complimentary breakfast. We loved walking to beach and Perkins Cove and saved so much time and money without our car. Staff was helpful and accommodated us with an amenities pass so we could shower after the beach on our check out day. Thank you!

Review 81:back patio balcony had view of parking lot at ground level so no privacy when you open curtains . Room was very small and bathroom was very small and split into the main room. Not enough counter space or space in general. Staff didn't tell us that breakfast was included . Realized it only half way into our stay . No microwave in he room. Way over priced for what you receive .

Review 82:Location was good clean

Review 83:I only thing I would like to see is that dinner is available after 6:00 as that is when they shut grills down. You can get other things on menu

Review 84:I only had a reservation for one night but decided I wanted to stay two more nights. They were able to provide me two extra nights which I really appreciated. I had booked two other nights at a different place but if was too isolating for me. I liked that everything was here, pools, restaurant and you did not have to leave resort unless you wanted to.

Review 85:We loved It here. Location great, room lovely and clean, pub ice cold beers and really enjoyed Johnathans for dinner. Staff great, friendly and helpful. Look forward to returning.

Review 86:Nothing!
