Review 1:Having to close the gate between the hotel and beach, we had to walk completely around to get to the beach. CHECK YOUR CARD. They have charged me 3 separate times. Once, the moment I've booked the hotel, about $150. Another when I checked in, $500! I've checked out a few days ago and earlier today they've charged me another $400! This whole booking was only supposed to be a little less than $550. I booked a room with a balcony. After 12 hours of travelling, all I cared about was a taking a nap, so I was already settled in before I realized I didn't get a room I booked for. I could've asked to the switch rooms, but I would appreciate it if the staff had it correct on the first time. I decided to just let it slide, and go without the balcony. But charging my card 3 separate times was completely unacceptable, although it all still says "pending" I still don't understand the prices and being charged multiple times. The fridge in my room would not work, we've tried changing the settings. The drawers next to the night stand and dresser aren't secure, so if you pulled it out, it would completely fall out. Wifi was HORRIBLE, did I even get a connection at all? The housekeepers in the mornings were obnoxiously loud they were just shouting to one another up and down the hallway. After coming back to the room from the beach, there was a dead roach, flipped outside down, in the middle of the my room. So much more I would mention, but highly upset about being overcharged and unclear what I'm even being charged for!!
Review 2:The location in general was very convenient. Walking distance from the beach, Walmart, and shopping mall wasn't a long a drive.
Review 3:Although dated, this hotel was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. Concierge Williams was especially helpful. Located right on the beach. A very good value.

Review 8:Decor in room is dated. Drawers did not have sliders on sides, so they fell easily when being pulled. Floor was concrete tile, so it was cold on the feet. Saw a few bugs (probably from the beach) in the bathroom. Required parking was by valet for an additional $20 per day, and whenever you needed your car, you had to call 15 minuted prior to leaving.
Review 9:Hotel has a pool, but is also right on the beach. Easy to get to from both sides of the highway. Although parking had to be by valet, the guys were very friendly and courteous. Room was spacious, and included a full size refrigerator and electric stove.
Review 10:Always the same, you book 6 or 7 months befere for a front sea view with balcony room and when you check in they give you the worst room. Hotel very old, smell bad etc.. You can't stay at pool side at 12:00am even in new year! Horrible ambient..

Review 14:There were roaches and fleas. The food was completely inedible. Our room key was given to a stranger who came into our room. This mistake was totally unacceptable! When I complained to the desk clerk, she had nothing to say, and told me the manager wasn't available.

Review 16:This place is falling apart. I got a room with a pool/ocean view so there was a lot of wind coming in the room. I had to either keep the balcony door open 24/7 or withstand an annoying low-pitched noise that came from a crack in the door. Everything in the room and bathroom was very old. There was a kitchenette whose cabinet doors were peeling. The room maid would not wash the dishes that we used. They would in my sister's room, but not mine. Also, one day she could only give us 3 towels (we were 4 people) and we were told they ran out of towels. The corridors are dark with very old doors. Mine would not close when we checked in, although that was fixed during my stay. We had dinner there one night and the menu only had a few options besides the bar menu and the food was bad. At the beach, we had to rent chairs if we wanted them. All the hotels nearby offer them for free to their guests, but not Ramada. And this hotel is not a lot cheaper than the nearby 4-star hotels. Actually, one of the nights I spent there had a rate comparable to the 4-star Trump that is a half-mile down the street. What a regret!
Review 17:Most of the staff at the front desk was helpful and tried to solve the problems we were having. The people that worked at the pool area were nice.
Review 18:I had reserved a King size and ended up with 2 queen size and they weren't able to switch us. Also the restaurant on site was HORRIBLE. Super expensive and my chicken was raw twice.

Review 31:One of the staff members charge my credit cards several times to the point where the credit card company locked both cards out then demanded money after he locked out the credit cards by over charging. Shower was broken in the room had to move us to another room which took three hours of our time together. Everything was dusty with a layer of dust on all of the furniture. There was debris underneath the bed that obviously has not been vacuumed in quite some time. Toilet and bathtub were dirty with remanence from the last person. Very poorly managed hotel.!

Review 48:My kids called this the “no fun zone”… I went with my family we had atotal of three rooms we all have teenagers so we figured this will be afun weekend. Well let me start with pool area, you can’t throw a ballaround in the pool, you can’t have drinks what so ever by the pool, youare not allowed any music on by the pool. There was constant hotelmanager and security circling the pool area looking at what you’re doingand what you have. It felt like I was back in high school beingconstantly checked during my lunch hour lol then pool closed at 8pm, sowe all went up to shower and when we go to meet up by the pool area tojust hang out we were stopped by security advising us that no one is nolonger allowed by the pool area. So I go to management and complain thatwhat are we supposed to do now, it’s only 9:15? Are we being forced togo up to our room? So they gave us until 11pm to be by the pool butstill with a curfew on my vacation. Really? My kids the next day find anarea on the first floor with couches to hang out they were told bysecurity that they couldn’t be there (what is the sitting area forthen?) I have stayed at more high end hotels and they don’t have as manyrules as this hotel did. If you have teenagers/kids this is not theplace to be. If you want to sit by the pool and read a book and be inbed by 9 then this is the place for you. I will never go back to thishotel!! Im not even going to go into all the extra charges they rack into your hotel stay. Not worth it!!

Wi-fi is also a problem - in the time of maximum connected users it is very slow plus at least 2 times a day You will need to reconnect. not a problem if You are on leasure trip, but can make You crazy if You are on business trip.

Review 60:I wrote to the hotel prior to our arrival to let them know we would be arriving after our cruise around 11:00 am and would like to check in early if the was possible. I also inquired about the availability of an airport shuttle. I did not receive a reply. When we arrived there were no rooms available. We completed the check in paper work and was assured as soon as a room became available we could have it. I checked back in one our hour increments. People were checking in and getting their keys. when I asked about our room they still didn't have one. The last time I checked the lineup for checking was very long. I went to the desk to explain we already checked in and were just waiting for a key. The desk clerk would not speak to me and told me to get in line. Another desk clerk overheard, looked directly behind him at the paperwork, asked my name and handed me the key. It was now 4:30. Check in time was 4:00. No apology. I will not stay at this hotel again.
Review 61:We ordered the pizza from the little pizzeria in the basement of the hotel. It was the best pizza we ever had.
Review 62:4 x People not enough utensils or glasses in kitchen. Had to request more. Had to request bathroom towels everyday as housekeeping did not change or leave any towels what so ever. Reception lady made mistake and took a bigger hold on credit card and did not inform anybody of the mistake. In checking bank account I saw and enquired and then only was the information shared. Up to now nobody has apologized or stepped forward and taken responsibility.

Review 64:Front desk staff at late night where very helpfull. Front desk staff during the day less than helpfull. The 3rd floor where I got the room had a terrible smell all the time. The room was below average of what it cost , and the bathroom ceiling was falling in pieces and dripping with water.........Upon checking it the hotel was unable to find my reservation and after an hour checked me into a room at a lesser rate. However, the following morning the day staff found my reservation and charged me the higher rate. I was not aware of this until I was checking out.

Location does not have luxury accommodations like advertised, the one "restaurant" is small and sad, and so are the "shops." They will nickle and dime you to death, budget for the additional $10 a day "resort fee" for each room each day. Also, do not expect to buy anything for under $5, food or otherwise.

I specifically called to make sure there was transportation available from the hotel to Sun Life Stadium. I was told they would take good care of me and my guest. BOY, did they take care of us! 1st shuttle we took was reasonable, the second from the Hotel to the Stadium was a RIP OFF! Could have driven and parked cheaper! 3rd. If you wanted to sit on a lounge on the beach directly in front of the hotel you had to PAY! I live in Central Florida and have never seen such a lack of concern and taking advantage of the tourists! It seemed I had to continually apologize to my old friend that flew down from New Jersey that got us very expensive tickets for the Green Bay / Dolphins game and I tried to reciprocate by staying at the Ramada Marco Polo Resort. It appeared I just kept saying welcome to Florida Mr. Tourist! I thought much higher of the Ramada chain of hotels previous to this experience!

I hope Donald Trumph does not get to this hotel, I once almost bought a room there. My X in law had bought a room there many years ago. I live in Kendall and I just love going there. The price is right and I been going there for over 20 years so it shows the place is very pleasing. Thank you for all you attentions and service everyone is wonderful.

Lo mejor del Hotel es el Personal que trabaja ahí, destaco a Marie nuestra Housekiping y la mejor atención fue de Nathaly, realmente ella hace que el hotel sea más acogedor y regrese tantas veces. The hotel is located in the front row facing the sea. It is an older hotel but the rooms are comfortable. Best Hotel is the staff working there, I feature Marie Housekiping our best attention and was Nathaly, she really makes the hotel more welcoming and return many times.

Review 104:I didn't love having to wait for the valet to bring the car every time we had to step out, although they did their best to be as quick as possible! Also, the kitchenette could have used some more pots, pans, and utensils. We struggled with a swiss army knife to open a can of clams, as there was no can opener! We only had a couple of forks and spoons, so we resorted to using plastic ones that we had kept from the food we purchased at the poolside grill!
Review 105:I loved the balcony overlooking the ocean. Having a kitchenette was convenient. The staff were very kind and helpful! The kids enjoyed the pool, and liked having the table tennis and basketball courts by the poolside as well! Overall, it was a good experience, and we had pretty much all we needed :)
Review 106:Arrived there in the evening, they didn't even had me in thecomputer, I had to wait for 20 min for this to happen,then another 20 tocheck in ( I made the booking 2 months in advance). The staff at thehotel was so slow, they looked like they don't care for theircustomers ( it wasn't just one time, every time, different people).The room was ok for the money I've payed, but still not very nicefor a ocean front (I can find a lot to complain but it won't changeanything now). One other thing long waiting for the valet to bring thecar back every time ( I really don't know why they even have that)It was very annoying. The resort fee was just to get more money from you( who wants to go to a sauna when outside is 90 degrees) you have to payextra for the lounge chair and umbrella ( I think it was $50 per day orsomething like that). The security guy wasn't very nice. I thoughtI've booked for 5 nights but I only did for 4, so they tried tocharge my credit card without telling me, they only called when thetransaction was not approved. I was happy to leave.I can probably find other things to complain about but I'll stop here.

All of the staff from the pool grill, towel desk, front desk, etc. we're absolutely wonderful. The beach was very nice too, although we chose to walk down the beach a bit because it was much quieter. I could just not get over how dirty and gross our room was.
Review 116:Called to request an early check in on the day of arrival was put on hold for 15 min 13 sec. Finally, hung up and tried again. Check in took over 25 minutes Check out took 15 minutes Resort is showing its age.

Review 131:The staff were rude and unhelpful. They need to take a course in customer service. From the beginning with the receptionist being dismissive, short tempered, mean, and rude. He kept us waiting an hour and half before we got to get our room card. He judged us on appearances and not that we were customers. On top of that the rest of the staff acted that way as well, despite the fact that we are all good tippers and hardworking adults looking to relax. All in all facilities were good, but staff were awful.

There is a full galley kitchen with dining wear, full fridge, breakfast nook area, marble looking bathroom feel, romantic plush beds, and a gorgeous balcony view of the ocean and poop from our room. Ramada Marco Polo management needs to be in touch of whats happening in the rooms( basically the conditions of the toilets etc.. etc) in order to prevent whats happened with us(room 1025: - 1st night - flooding caused by sanitary breakdown. - 2nd day - shower tap not working properly caused a burn to my kid due to continuous water running. - Not a very prompt response. 2. Lack of responsibility from the part of the plumbers( eg, after repairs cleaning the floor(dirty with human excrements)with the very same towels that guests use- showing no care on guests health( this is annoying: how one can clean this type of condition with un proper materials. 3. When we found out about the condition from other rooms with less or the same prices in better condition, we asked to change room, promptly accepted in we were given room 845 then, later on when we were ready to go to that one they changed to 1120.
Review 136:1. The IAU Graduation set up 2. the Tour around Miami after the graduation 3. The tour to Disney World- However, this have to be better organized. the organizers must not ever do the following: a) mix tourists from IAU with other "normal passengers" that stop everywhere causing a delay to all of us. b) never separate IAU tourists because they are there to share experiences with one another- why organize tours for IAU while you got no space in the bus?
