Reviews for Lamie's Inn

Review 1:The bathroom seemed to not be fully cleaned. It could have been swept. And there was a hair in our bed.

Review 2:I liked the comfort of the bed and how lamies was right on the main road and easy to find.

Review 3:The water pressure of the shower was horrible. It took me a long time to take a shower because of this.

Review 4:The food was very good. The bed was comfortable. The location was close to the beach.

Review 5:No elevator, size of room and because room was above restaurant it had a odor of fish.

Review 6:Location, staff who called me on my cell because I left a camera. It had board games in the hall, a continental breakfast.

Review 7:The noise from customers in the parking lot and the surrounding roads made it difficult to sleep. I was also given incorrect information regarding my billing from the front desk clerk.

Review 8:Charm and comfort

Review 9:This inn has an atmosphere for quick quiet stays away from the noise of the boardwalk.

Review 10:This Inn had a welcoming atmosphere and cozy feel to it. It was easy to find off the highways and a quick drive to visit hampton beach. The rooms were moderately sized with lots of small inn charm. The attached restaurant was convienent and moderatley priced with a solid menu and alot of character.

Review 11:Older bedroom and bathroom, small with old type AC unit..loud. Breakfast of cold items nice in their restaurant but everything on paper products and plastic utensils. Even paper cups for coffee. Staff nice. Upstairs sitting area very hot!

Review 12:The inn offered a discount of 10% with aarp card, but could not offer me the discount because i had reserved through booking.com instead of them. A bit unfair i thought.

Review 13:The facilities were well kept and welcoming. The staff was friendly and professional. The restaurant was very rustic and full of interesting history. The food was excellent. A+++.

Review 14:We stayed just one night in our way to the North but enjoyed a lot our stay. Details usually make the difference and Lamie's Inn cares about them. We felt really welcome. The room was charming, the staff friendly, and the restaurant (Old Salt) worth the visit.

Review 15:View from the room was of the trash cans out back.

Review 16:The room was very charming with pseudo-colonial decor. There was a sitting area out on the 2nd floor landing where you could play board games. I liked that the restaurant was attached.

Review 17:The restaurants waitstaff and bartender. Service was ok at best but the food and portions made up for that. The bartender though was not experienced and not super friendly.

Review 18:Felt like home

Review 19:The bathroom was a tight fit.

Review 20:Liked the rustic but clean feel of the decor. Very homey. Liked how you could walk to the local shops. Also that it was just a short drive to Hampton beach.

Review 21:Very comfortable for a couple even if the room was small it was a nice for the space provided. The breakfast was excellent yummy blueberry bread so good. Btw the tv's are updated now flat screen

Review 22:The only thing I would've liked was better air conditioning In the hallways, but it wasn't unbearable.

Review 23:I like the old construction and historic feel to the hotel and whole facility. I liked that I had an actual key for my door instead of a card, free breakfast, clean rooms, free wifi, plenty of parking, and friendly hotel and bar/restaraunt staff.

Review 24:Rugs & furnishings badly in need of replacement. Menu of adjoining tavern, which used to be one of the finer dining places of the seacoast, was rather lacking in variety.

Review 25:Excellent location. helpful staff

Review 26:Bathroom was small but clean and well stocked. Sink in our room had a slow drain.

Review 27:Staff was fantastic. Very homey feel. Attached restaurants food was delicious. Close to beach, movies, and ammenties. Definitely going back.

Review 31:The room was clean, the staff was so nice and helpful and the location was great. Very close to everything. And lots of parking.

Review 33:The warmth of the inn and we ate 2 meals right there at the Old Salt during the St. Valentine's Day blizzard ! Thank-you one and all !

Review 34:bathroom was definitely" a one person at a time" affair, but clean and well appointed

Review 35:Quaint, as I wanted for a New England stay;quiet, comfortable and clean and great location to wonder in many different directions.

Review 39:The rooms were clean and had the necessary accommodations. We were surprised with the New England charm of the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The adjacent restaurant was very good.

Review 40:The bathroom was small/tight space-wise, and the water in the shower never really got warm. No lighted exit signs in the hallway.

Review 41:We enjoyed a great dinner in the restaurant with a terrific waitress! The continental breakfast is terrific, too! Altogether a great experience!

Review 42:We stayed in room 28, and it was right outside the back entrance of the bar. On Sunday morning, around 5:30, a delivery was made, and it got pretty noisy. It lasted about 45 minutes. I imagine it was delivery for the Sunday brunch. We stayed both Saturday and Sunday nights, and had no such problems on Sunday.

Review 43:Staff, was very friendly. Room was quite clean, and the Inn itself had a lot of charm. Room service was very convenient.

Review 44:Would be good to be advised to book dinner when making booking for a Saturday night

Review 45:Staff very helpful and friendly. Restaurant very good but need to book on Saturday evening. Room was clean and comfortable and we even managed to get parking right by the door. Lots of choice at the continental breakfast.

Review 46:I did not like the fact that I was told the hotel was right on the beach. But we still had a nice time. Beach was about a 20 minute drive from the hotel.

Review 47:I liked everything, staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good.

Review 48:damp, mildew odor in room, linens were old, complimentary breakfast was poor. Location is 2 miles from the beach

Review 52:Dinner was kind of a bummer. Steak overcooked. Very busy had to send food back. When it returned it came back without sides.

Review 53:Very charming, super friendly staff.

Review 54:The staff not very friendly .came downstairs for complimentary coffee was not approached good morning etc. The tavern the staff didn't introduce themselves and catered to their locals more than the guests didnt feel welcome at all . The servers stood around not doing anything made u feel unwelcome . Its a shame because the place is very cozy. I would recommend if the staff was friendly.

Review 55:Ambiance historical cozy . The staff at the old salt was very friendly and didnt mind the touristy questions

Review 56:We didn't like that it was so far from the Boardwalk attractions. We had never been to Hampton Beach, so we had no idea how proximal the hotel was. It is important to note this hotel is at least 5 miles from the main "Boardwalk" section of Hampton Beach.

Review 57:We really liked the staff at the hotel. While it took a while to get checked in, they were friendly and helpful.

Review 58:The contintental breakfast was good but could have used just a bit more of variety of warm food. But the pastries were excellent!!!

Review 59:The place is very clean and located within a few minutes of the beach. The staff was very friendly and made us feel right at home. We had dinner in the attached restaurant and the food was excellent.

Review 97:Loved the ambiance

Review 98:Booked one king and one double but got one king and one queen

Review 99:Almost everything

Review 100:Price$$$

Review 101:Restaurant , staff

Review 102:The bathroom was very small, miniature in fact. And you do not want a room over the restaurant/bar on the weekend. Lots of noise!

Review 103:The room was very comfy, tho small. Pillows and towels were really nice. It has a very ample continental breakfast that was the best we have experienced.

Review 104:The continental breakfast was awful. They could at least get one of those waffle makers and have batter for people like the chain hotels have for guests. And the coffee was really like drinking brown water. If you are going to offer an environment like their hotel has which is homey - they should work at offering a better breakfast - you would walk away wanting to come back. Maybe a local bakery could provide good breads, etc. Not the dry breads made for sandwiches or the hard bagels from a grocery store.

Review 105:All the comforts of home.

Review 106:This was a perfectly comfortable place to stay in the Seacoast area, and the staff, both at check-in and in the restaurant, could not have been more nice. We'd eaten at the restaurant before but never considered staying at the Inn, but we'll definitely be back!

Review 107:Because this was a surprise gift the reservations were in my name. The communication with payment was inconvenient.

Review 108:I purchased 2. 1 overnight for each of my children and their spouses. The next morning my husband and I met them for brunch. The "kids" enjoyed their stay. We all loved the brunch!

Review 109:Had a very pleasant experience. Room was quiet and clean. Staff was happy and fun to talk to. Enjoyed my meal in their restaurant. Very nice place to stay.

Review 110:The only negative I could find is that the mattress was a little hard but really it wasn't that bad.

Review 111:This is an old fashioned quaint Inn. The staff is lovely and the food is delishious. They have a huge brunch on Sunday morning that I highly recommend! Also, I was happy to discover that they are pet friendly!

Review 112:I didn't come for the Cable tv, but the selection is very limited, mostly crowded with shopping channels. Rather incongruent with a hotelin that price range.Internet access is free (a plus) but had lots of bugs: the signal would disappear every half hour, I'd have to restart the computer etc.—perhaps atypical for most guests of this Inn, I had to work while I was there. So spotty internet was not ideal for me.

Review 113:The restaurant is the major plus and a relative minus of the Inn. Lovelyfood, and a dynamic lively dining room. Clearly a favorite with localsand visitors alike. The downside: over-crowded parking lot at peaktimes, with lots of related noise for rooms near theentrances/exits. Staff was very kind, helpful.

Review 114:Leaving!

Review 115:Location: easy to find Staff: reception staff were charming and helpful Food: very good and fresh; very 'honest.' General: comfortable hotel with an old fashioned ambiance.

Review 116:The inn was quaint, full of new England charm. Good value for the money.Only wish we didn't live so far away (arizona) , cuz it would benice to do one or more of their weekend packages.

Review 117:Ceral for breakfast just had whole grains. Perhaps adding cheerios and one "bad" ceral like frosted flakes for the kids.

Review 118:very quaint. liked the decor in the halls, old pic, checkers. The room was cozy and clean! When I walked into the room it put a smile on my face.

Review 119:I just love the place.it is near the beach. The staff is very nice, they make you feel at home and it is very quiet and relaxing,im going back next year...

Review 120:The restaurant looked fairly dark and dingy with a dirty carpet. Not walking distance to the beach.

Review 121:Nice old Inn atmosphere with very nice staff and convenient location to Hampton Beach and the interstate. Restaurant with excellent food. Ample and free parking, acceptable free breakfast.

Review 122:Wifi connection was poor in the evening, need to update room decorations, restaurant and room dark

Review 123:Staff was helpful and friendly, parking, breakfast, restaurant

Review 124:This historic Inn provides good, comfortable lodging, friendly staff, includes a restaurant of notable reputation, is convenient to New Hampshire's beaches and other regional attractions like Portland, ME and Gloucester, MA. We thoroughly liked Lamie's.
