Reviews for Hotel Wildbach
Review 1:breakfast was poor.not complete.i reserved a family room with lake view but they alocate me another room not pleasant.personel was rude.they charge me more than what was agreed with booking.com.
Review 2:the location was fantastic.
Review 3:Very rude receptionist (the owner of the two star hotel) and surprisingly he is the chef. We were unwelcomed by him. My kids spent the first night with no electricity in the room. I called the night manager for help with no response. Certainly not recommended for families. Place is scary and not safe after 9PM. I Strongly recommend to remove this hotel from Booking.com
Review 4:Hotel was very close to the lake.
Review 5:hotel staff / owner unfriendly, not with welcoming attitude to guest, reminding us to return the key in a strange way. no info on wifi, towels very hard, and bed sheets a bit smelly. breakfast very minimum, not even serving croissant. for CHF280 per night serms over priced
Review 6:nice view
Review 7:In description, it says "wifi free in the hotel", actually only a small area near reception.
Review 8:Comparing with the other hotels i have stayed in Swiss(5 times), this one is average in terms of pricing, location and facility etc. View is great, front facing to the Brienz lake. Location is in the middle(3km from Brienz and 20km from Interlaken), without car, dont consider it. Facility is B&B, same as breakfast. Quardroom is very small for 4 adults but should be ok for 2 adults+ 2 childrens.
Review 9:The place was clean, historic and had a lot of wood carving that is typical of this area. The dining room was rustic and cozy.
Review 10:A little bit far away from the village
Review 11:Tranquilo, vista bonita, buen desayuno, peaceful place, nice view, good breakfast, easy access to the lake
Review 12:Fantastic views from hotel balcony. Great food.
Review 13:Access by car for the suitcases was not easy to find first; traffic infront
Review 14:the room, which was spacious and had a nice view
Review 15:My short stay
Review 16:View
Review 17:190 CHF per night I find this too expensive for the quality of the hotel.
Review 18:hotel with view and terrace on lake good parking place kind staff
Review 19:The room we live was too hot due to the fire wall going through our room. We even couldn't sleep. No WiFi inside the room. Bathroom is vey small.
Review 20:The room window and balcony face to the mountain and river--very beautiful scene. In summer, it would be the best place to stay. Free parking and breakfast.
Review 21:- The location is far from Interlaken(20 minutes by car). - too expensive, you can stay in Interlaken with better location, better breakfast, better service and for less money.
Review 22:The location in perfect, close to the village and with incredible views to the lake. The front desk people was very friendly and the food in the restaurant was excelent too. The room was very comfortable with a big terrace. The only exception was that the bathroom was a little small.
Review 23:Just so brilliant! Second time here, I've really spent great time there, not only for the hotel itself but the people there. The staff and local people there were so nice. People eating and talking just like friends. I actually did something wrong by accidentally hitting a guy's car, though not seriously. I asked and looked for the guy trying to remedy my faults. In the end,it was a senior guy from Saudi Arabia. Friendly and polite, he forgived me without asking any charge. I deeply appreciate this respectable man. The staff also helped me a lot when solving my problem.
Review 24:shared balcony meant cigarette smoke came into our room, the train track was right beside the hotel
Review 25:the view over the lake especially from the restaurant and the friendly staff
Review 26:Cold breakfast only. Can get very hot in room.
Review 27:Great location with fantastic views from our balcony. Food was very good with friendly staff.Great location if your driving or ridding for the mountain passes many awesome passes within an hour. Food and service should push this up to a 3 star.
Review 28:The train behind the hotel and the road in front made quite a lot of noise. We had also hoped for more healthy breakfast choices.
Review 29:We particularly appreciated the special mattress covers -"Toppers" - which were so comfortable to sleep on. The view of the lake was spectacular and much enjoyed.
Review 30:Breakfast was served quite late, which could have been a problem ... I would have loved a kettle in the room for an early-morning coffee - if I stay again I'll take a flask !
Review 31:The view was wonderful, over the lake and towards the Giessbach waterfall. The staff were helpful, the meals delicious. The room was comfortable, with plenty of sockets ! It was too cold to make use of the balcony, but it looked nice.
Review 32:Probably my expectation was too high after looking at the reviews andthe photos from the web. So the actual room and view is a bit under myexpectation. And as some reviewer mentioned ealier, if you go by train, that will be long walk from the station. No issue if you dont have theluggage with you as the view is fantastic.
Review 33:The view is nice, and a good walk around the lake. We had dinner there, and the food is delicious.
Review 34:If you driver to this hotel, it is ok. Otherwise, you should choose other hotel . This hotel is very far from downtown or train station.
Review 35:nice lake view。
Review 36:Towels can be replaced by newer ones.. Bathroom accessories not supplied
Review 37:Beautiful view of the lake Beautiful breakfast terrace Good locationNice rooms
Review 38:It was very hot and the hotel was not air conditioned.
Review 39:The views were fantastic and it was right on the edge of the lake. Restaurant was convenient, very clean.
Review 40:Our room had a small private balcony which was ideal when wanting to relax and enjoy the view of the lake and the mountains. What was disconcerting was that the bathroom of the room next to ours had a window which opened onto our area of the balcony. One morning, early and when enjoying a quiet read, I found it unpleasant to witness by hearing the "body functions" of our neighbours being relieved, just three feet from where I was sitting! Not a good design initiative. I retreated away from the window.
Review 41:The location of the hotel is excellent - a short distance from the village of Brienz yet on its own near the lakeside. The service was good and the food also. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was not a problem, and the surrounding countryside was impressive.
Review 42:We had the family room - it was very small. The children sleep at somekind of an attic, where the celing is very low and have to br carefullnot to bump their heads.
Review 43:Great view of the lake and the alps. Very good located outsde of thetown but still very close to it. The first floor is a restorant - a verygood one Good prices (considering the prices in Switzerland)
Review 44:As this hotel is situated between the railway line and a road, it could be described by some as noisy. However, this did not worry us at all.
Review 45:All the personnel were very friendly and helpful. Good food at the restaurant overlooking the lake. Good-sized room spotless with a wonderful view from the flower decked balcony over Lake Brienz. In wooden chalet style, it felt very homely and comfortable. Would definitely consider another visit.
Review 46:The train is right by the hotel, but it doesn't run at all during the night and not too often during the day. Plus it was quick flying by so you didn't really notice it too much.
Review 47:Beautiful view of the lake. Food was really good. Staff was extremely helpful.
Review 48:excellent hotel...it has only 1 drawback. if you arrive by train at brienz station, it is a 35 minute walk to the hotel. you NEED to get off at the brienz west station to be a bit closer. that is the only thing wrong with this hotel. the other side of the location coin, however, is that because it is located this far from the busier center of brienz, it is very quiet and of course has an incredible view. the restaurant part of the hotel was excellent, so we did not have to walk back into town for our evening meal. so all in all, a great place, just a bit of a longer walk than we had anticipated.
Review 49:We were a family of four travelling with young children (3 years and 7 years old respectively). The room which we were given was relatively small and separated into two levels and the second level where two of the beds were located was connected by way of a steep ladder so we were not comfortable sending the kids there alone.
Review 50:The location of the hotel was excellent and the staff at the hotel were very helpful and kind. The balcony opening up to the lake with a direct view of the Giessbach falls and the mountains was beautiful.
Review 51:safety ?? I did not like the way that the staff was dealing with me ( language was a possibile reason )
Review 52:new experience nice view
Review 53:If you don't have a car, it'll be not easy to reach here.
Review 54:Lake view terrace, good for parking and kind staff and clean and cozy room
Review 55:The chef cook very nice food and you could easily go out for a walk around the Brienz lake
Review 56:Lovely location with great views up and down the lake. Great service.
Review 57:Staff was not friendly
