Reviews for Hotel Elliott
Review 1:The fitness center, although well equipped, is located in a stuffy basement and only has a tiny fan to facilitate air throughout it. After being on the elliptical for 20 minutes I couldnt bare to breathe and went outside into the rain to finish my workout. the chilled waters was a huge plus though.
Review 2:the location was ideal for exploring the heart of Astoria; you can walk to everything. It was at the top of my price range but after staying there, i realized you really get a lot with the room including a fitness center, excellent breakfast, and a friendly staff. I will be back
Review 3:The old fashioned bed in our small room had legs that stuck out and caught our toes more than once. Also, there's a fairly limited choice of restaurants in the area, if you dine later in the evening.
Review 4:The decor and furnishings of this hotel invite the guest to step back in time. Our stay took place when the lobby was decorated with traditional and very tasteful Christmas decorations. Also, the breakfast buffet offered an excellent and tasty selection. We ate well.
Review 5:Great location close to dining and shops. Gorgeous river view from top floor deck. Comfortable lobby for reading and talking. Excellent breakfast with healthy choices.
Review 6:Nothing bad - we can't wait to return!
Review 7:Loved the helpful, friendly staff. The warm, cozy feel of the lobby, the room, and the eating/drinking areas. The rooftop viewing was amazing - wonderful sunset photos! The breakfast was fine, better than most!
Review 8:Only negatives were the refrigerator in our room was a bit noisy at night, and other guests coming in late and making a lot of noise in the hallway, waking us up.
Review 9:The tastefully decorated public and private rooms. The well-heated rooms on a very cold weekend, and the friendly staff. Heated tile floor in the bathroom!
Review 10:We enjoyed the overall feel of the hotel, it was like going back in time coupled with modern amenities. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had 2 rooms, both were very clean and as described - furnished with a combination of antiques and present day appliances. Breakfast was scrumptious - a real treat!
Review 11:The best thing about the hotel was it was small enough to provide individual attention yet affordable and ideally located for our purposes. The staff was helpful and attentive. We loved the atmosphere in that it was in keeping with the time it was built. We were very happy with the hotel and would highly recommend it.
Review 12:We like the windows to be open as we likelots of air
Review 13:It was easy to find. The location was great for walking along the water front. The room was very quiet. Breakfast was very good. We will return
Review 14:Two things: there was a narrow space between bed and wall and the legs of the bed protruded to almost guarantee a broken toe during a night visit to the bathroom. We actually had to wrap them bed legs in thick towels. Breakfast was not good.
Review 15:Nice location, nice staff.
Review 16:Free breakfast not so good but great coffee. No additional seating in room, to small. For the price just because its old and in town I would still stay someplace else next visit. There are many hotels with more to offer for same price.
Review 17:Right in town
Review 18:Hotel Elliott is centrally located, clean, and comfortable. We had a great stay in Astoria, walking all around town from the hotel. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace and its great views. It was nice to have breakfast included at the hotel and a fridge in the room. We normally rent homes when we travel, but will definitely return to Hotel Elliott. The price was great for its high quality and being in town and not having to cook was an added luxury to the weekend getaway.
Review 19:Lady at desk didn't know where vista on top of Astoria was, until I showed her the article in brochure. Then she states, "oh, the column"!
