Reviews for Universal's Loews Royal Pacific Resort

Review 1:For the high price one would expect at least complementary breakfast, but there was no such thing. The wait for the water taxi at 9:15 PM was very long because there were not any water taxis availabke. One would think that if the parks close at 9 PM, then they would anticipate having a high-volume at that time of people wanting to return to the hotel and be ready for it.

Review 2:There reason why we stayed at the hotel was because of the Universal Express passes that come complementary with the hotel stay, therefore, it was worth spending the night to get the passes for two days. The convenience of the Hotel storing our luggage the morning prior to check-in and the day of checkout was greatt, in that way we were abke to enjoy both days at the parks.

Review 3:Overall a very good experience. As many others say, the prices are quite high there as in the rest of that area.

Review 4:Very nice place, the cost is not that bad considering that you get express pass for all family members. We didn't eat at the hotel, so unfortunately we have no experience of the restaurants. everything was quick and easy.

Review 5:For a hotel that size, they have absolutely no food alternatives for people with dietary issues. For example, our daughter is allergic to gluten, dairy and eggs -which is really not that uncommon!- and both restaurants in the hotel offering breakfast had not options for rice milk, almond milk, or coconut milk, a gluten free cereal or bread option. We ended up going to Panda Express to eat rice with vegetables for breakfast. Wee travel a lot and can always make do, but I have never seen such a poor offering in a hotel of that size and luxury level.

Review 6:Super friendly and helpful staff, the hotel is beautiful and smells very lovely. We loved the availability of the water taxi to take us to City Walk and to the Universal theme parks. And of course, the free Express passes were an exceptional added value.

Review 7:Pool bar area smelled like rotten garbage Fruit flies all over the pool bar swarming over your food and into your drinks No real store for food or drinks. Very small lobby store similar to airport kiosk with outrages prices. Water is 2.75$ for 8oz bottle No place to get complimentary coffee outside of your room keurig. Only access to coffee was a paid machine in the lobby We booked a room with two queen beds and garden view. We got two double beds and a room overlooking the highway. I asked the front desk and they told me my beds were queens. I'm not sure if they think I'm stupid but I know the difference between a queen bed and a double.

Review 8:Convenient to parks. Beautiful walkway from hotel to city walk and park entrances. Pool was fun for my 11 year old son. Hotel grounds (aside from pool bar) are very pretty and well kept Good value for what you get in terms of convenience to parks and the express passes. It is absolutely worth staying at an onsite hotel for the express passes.

Review 9:Liked the proximity to parks, water taxi transport, express pass benefit. bellmen were very prompt. Orchid cafe breakfast was a little bit pricey but had good choices and was convenient. Room was decently sized for 2 queens.

Review 10:Food and beverage service at the pool was aweful - non exsistant. Food that we went to the bar to order due to no one coming by was extremely long.

Review 11:Kethia at the front desk was awesome. Great personality to greet the guests. The staff was always helpful to answer questions. Water taxi was a great convience. Spa was fantastic as well.

Review 12:My short stay.

Review 13:Service with a smile. Staff very professional. The bed was so comfortable. Loved the landscaping. The water taxi to the park was convenient. The complimentary unlimited express tickets and early admission to the park allowed us to enjoy all the rides without the hassle of waiting in long lines.

Review 14:There isn't anything we didn't like. Love this hotel so much!

Review 15:Staff was so very helpful! Also beds were beyond comfortable. Love love loved the remake of tower 1! Transportation is also really great!

Review 16:Parking is $20 a night. Shuttles and rental cars are outrageous. You are kind of trapped. With no access to groceries and limited options for food. Food is expensive and places like burger king in city walk intentionally don't sell breakfast at breakfast time, so you have to go elsewhere and overspend.

Review 17:Great location. Easy park and city walk access.

Review 18:Need to know ahead that EARLY admission is ONLY thru islads of adventure entrance.

Review 19:Water taxi were amazing! (Especialy at nite). Even with the construction accross the water by boat dock.. stay was great!! We stayed on the CLUBLevel and were definatly royaly spoiled..

Review 20:Nothing noted.

Review 21:Elizabeth on the front desk was so helpful and friendly, my partner and I booked to stay for one night, we were celebrating our anniversary and we were given a free upgrade to a beautiful suite, such a lovely stay, our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.thank you!

Review 22:Love staying on property for the early entry and fast pass options. The staff was awesome. The gentleman who stored our bags for us until our room was ready remembered us the next night when we were leaving. Will definitely be back!!

Review 23:A bit understaffed at the front desk at obvious check in and check out times.

Review 24:Stayed in the newly renovated Tower 1. Very nice facilities. Main reason for choosing was proximity to parks and express passes.

Review 25:I DID NOT LIKE THAT THE EXPRESS PASS WAS NOT OFFERED FOR HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS. THAT WAS THE ONLY REASON WHY I CONSIDERED STAYING AT THAT HOTEL.

Review 26:THE STAFF WAS GREAT. HOTEL WAS AMAZING. WOULD DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN!!!!

Review 27:The rooms need to be taken care of they are a little run down for the name and location they are in

Review 28:Easy getting to and from the parks..the friendly staff

Review 29:Been to Florida more than 20 times in the last 30 years. Stayed at lots of different hotels and the royal Pacific specifically about 5 times. This is definitely one of the best Orlando ones. It's great for the Universal parks as you can walk there and you get early admission every day plus unlimited fast pass to most rides. Bit prices but worth it overall.

Review 30:A bit overpriced as you need to pay extra for parking and breakfast.

Review 31:Nice resort for visiting Universal theme parks. We liked early admission and express pass to 2 theme parks, complimentary boat shuttles to theme parks and complimentary bus shuttles to other theme and water parks. The resort has beautyful pool area.

Review 32:Parking fees are outrageous if you bring more than one car.

Review 33:Royal Pacific is always clean with over the top staff! Stay here often and it never disappoints me.

Review 34:Location was great - convenient to universal. "Complimentary" express pass was a great surprise and of great value - nearly paid for the room itself!

Review 35:The room we stayed is have trees up against the window obstructing the view.

Review 36:Location, close to universal studios, excellent staff and restaurants good.

Review 37:Great location, short walk (or (free) water taxi ride) to Universal Studios. Several restaurants on site as well as a great pool. Also, you get free early admission to the park and a free Expresspass.

Review 38:The pricing ,regardless of location it's overpriced

Review 39:Everything was excellent but still overpriced even taking into consideration the fabulous fast track passes.

Review 40:I have nothing g negative to say

Review 41:I liked very much how friendly the staff was very attentive. It was a great experience getting to and from the parks.

Review 42:Everything here is amazing, especially that the hotel offers free fast pass for the universal studio and water taxi for transportation. In addition the hotel has a nice pool with artificial beach where is perfect for relax.

Review 43:Room not cleaned on one occasion and didn't get coffee on three occasions. No convenience store or vending machines on resort or nearby (a few drinks/snacks in gift shop at extortionate prices). Hard to get off resort without a car.

Review 44:Resort atmosphere, free water taxi to parks, pool area, Universal Express passes

Review 45:The decor in the room was looking a little tired, and the bathroom was pretty small for a family of 5. Also would have appreciated more free TV channels for the afternoon we were all room bound due to thunderstorms! But these are small things.

Review 46:Fantastic location, less than 10 minutes walk to the Universal Boardwalk, although we used the excellent free water taxi shuttle most of the time. Great bar staff, loved the pool area with the film screening every night. We also enjoyed the all you can eat 'wok experience' in the restaurant - my 8 year old twins thought this was the coolest thing ever! At the end of the day, we were only at Universal for 4 nights with a 3 day pass, so the time spent at the hotel was minimal. It was easy, friendly, attractively designed, with spacious public areas and helpful staff. Also awesome jalapeño margaritas!

Review 47:Nice relaxed atmosphere, facilities were great, loved sitting having supper and characters popping in, the pool area was lovely, and fast passes were a great help in the parks

Review 48:Absolutely nothing!

Review 49:Absolutely gorgeous Hotel. Great value for my money! The staff was pleasant. The room was beautiful and very clean. The whole hotel was magnificent...

Review 50:Found a cheaper rate on their own website, booking.com said they would email the hotel as they would match the price but the hotel didn't know anything about it.

Review 51:Lovely htel

Review 52:Not really a bad experience, however, I was a bit dissappointed with the beds. The mattresses were old and worn out.

Review 53:Having been a past guest, upon arriving, we quickly realized that several things had changed. When I started inquiring about the changes a young lady who worked behind the front desk named Bess recognized my frustration and immediately took time out to inform me of the changes and help us to plan our vacation around the changes. Her knowledge and caring saved our trip. This is the most valuable asset and the reason we always come back to the Lowes Hotels. Please do something nice for Bess and know that we WILL be back. Thanks.

Review 54:It is pricy but I do believe you get your money's worth. Unfortunately, it will be awhile before I can stay at the hotel because I would have to save up the money.

Review 55:The hotel was beautiful!! Everywhere had some kind of art work with amazing details! Food was great too! Loved the meet and greet with the Characters too.

Review 56:Customer service at the main reception in the lobby could be improved. There were a number of problems during the check in process, which included wrong names being printed on passes, no ability to charge purchases to the room (which is something we requested so we did not have to carry cash unnecessarily around the parks) and overall lack of customer care. All of these things meant that we had issues with our room key in the parks, which was very embarrassing. Fortunately, on our first day we had taken a small amount of cash out with us so we could buy some water before heading back to the hotel to rectify the problem. By the time we came to check out, customer service had still not improved as the final invoice had been put in my daughters name, but charged to my credit card. To top it off, our room key had then been deactivated, meaning we could not get out of the car park.

Review 57:The location of the hotel was ideal for getting to the both parks and citywalk. The boat journey from the hotel to the parks only took 5 minutes and was frequent. The room was clean and tidy and the facilities were excellent. The provision of a free express-pass for most of the main attractions and the additional hours entry to the park before it opened was a bonus.

Review 58:Self parking was nearly impossible due to lack of available parking and quite expensive ($20/night). After being forced to valet, I was originally double billed. Staff was excellent and resolved my problem.

Review 59:Great staying on premises at Universal Studios. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Beautiful accommodations. This is my favorite of the Universal resorts, and I have stayed at the Hard Rock and Cabana Bay.

Review 60:Unfortunately, we had a king size bed and it was very uncomfortable.

Review 61:Staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel was beautiful. Easy access to all our needs.

Review 62:The staff at front desk. Extremely rude! We placed orders for towelsdaily took 2hrs all the time. Room was dirty. Nothing we asked for wasever done. We honestly stayed here for location to Islands and universalstudios. We moved to the waldorf astoria after. You can't evencompare. This hotel staff are just tired or need to find a smile intheir management meetings. We called for our toilet to be fixed it took4hrs! General manager finally cared enough to call after 6 days of beinghere and apologised. If you normally travel 5 star this will disappointyou. Location is amazing.

Review 63:Location and that is it. Free express pass although it's not freeafter you spend $700 for 3 people to get into the park.

Review 64:Asian Fusion Islands Dining Room food specifically Stirfry ordered off menu and tasteless Asian Salad ( you should infuse sesame oil in that salad :)

Review 65:Express pass Variety of food at restaurants ( didn't care for Asian/ fusion Islands Dining Room dinner - Asian salad was awful and too much sauce on Stirfry ordered off menu)

Review 66:Helpful friendly staff, perfect for Universal but only 20/30mins from Disney parks. Lovely pool area and great restaurants. Would recommend highly.

Review 67:Quality of bedrooms is generally poor - dark and gloomy and require urgent updating throughout. Problem with car park barrier which nearly came down twice on the bonnet of my hire vehicle - was not really impressed with response from talking to staff on the intercom, and despite mentioning at reception, my complaint received no action or was I provided with an update. Overall, not considered good value hotel

Review 68:Excellent location for all three Universal parks. Staff extremely helpful (except car parking)

Review 69:Only way to get wifi was to hang out in lobby. For what you pay to stay here free wifi should be available in the rooms.

Review 70:Beautiful place. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Review 71:Had problems with the room key which had to be renewed each time we wanted to go back - bit of a drag. The parking fees were expensive.

Review 72:The location of the hotel was excellent, spacious and clean rooms. Great perk to have the fast pass and early entry.

Review 73:The free wifi was limited to the lobby and executive lounge. Pretty weak in the room.

Review 74:The location of this hotel is second to none for Universal and Islands of Adventure. 10 min walk to Citywalk and both parks. The free fast pass was also well worth using as it meant we hardly queued.

Review 75:Very loud music at the pool all afternoon. .

Review 76:large open space with bar able to get a drink with children sitting with us, boat ride to the parks, fast pass, the comfort of the beds, free soft drink in the lobby to try bagage area, the staff doing a great job there.pool hours, service at the pool, staff really good

Review 77:Free wifi limited to 3mbps. Resort can be a bit of a maze to navigate through.

Review 78:Great location for Universal Studios, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. On premises restaurants/bars equally as good.

Review 79:Excellent value considering you get early Park access and unlimited express passes (worth about $900) early admission was essential for the wizzarding world of Harry Potter. Hotel was a short 5 min water taxi ride to the parks. Would definitely recommend using this hotel

Review 80:Lack of a quick and easy continental breakfast.

Review 81:Staff very friendly. Pool great for families. Food very good at the one restaurant we ate at. And most of all proximity to the parks and the water taxi service which made it a snap getting to and from the parks and enabled us to easily visit park in the morning take a nap and spend time at pool in afternoon and go back to park that night.

Review 82:If I had one niggle it was a little on the expensive side however with the free fast passes it was without a doubt worth it. I thought the paying for parking was a bit much. Hotel is expensive, not sure there's a need to charge for parking as well.

Review 83:Location was excellent. Hotel spotless throughout. 10 min walk to both parks and of course the fast passes!

Review 84:We were in T2 and found the rooms & corridors tired, we thought this didnt give us value for money as I was expecting luxury for the price we paid.... Also my father who stayed in a different room along t he corridor was situated next to a large untidy cleaners room w which remained open all night! So great for the park passes not so great for the luxury aspect of the stay if yr in T2 (felt a bit all one nighters staying for the passes were given the not so best rooms ....

Review 85:The water taxi, the fast pass & early doors

Review 86:Expected a balcony but there weren't any anywhere from what I could see.The parking at $20/day was a surprise as I expected that to be included and why oh why charge silly money for bottled water in the room - hardly a deal breaker but why not charge the same as the parks?

Review 87:Well you have to give the hotel a good rating because it is a lovely hotel but for the money it costs it should be special. The easy walk or boat ride to the Parks and the Express pass tickets make it a must for a visit to Universal.

Review 88:In our room the roll out bed we asked for was very uncomfortable. The iron was cracked so got hot water on my hands when using it. The bathroom was tiny. The tapa had parts falling off. For the money I would expect better attention to detail! The pool was too packed!

Review 89:The close proximity to the parks was great. The water taxis are a lovely way to arrive. The hotel lobby and grounds are beautiful.

Review 90:Security at City Walks Rising Star were unprofessional, poorly trained, and lacked communication skills concerning human diversity. Be prepared for your bags purses etc. to be searched (with no probable cause or reasonable suspicion) upon entry to City Walk from the resort. Identification also required by security upon entry, to supposedly verify your identity. It is understandable that in today's time's, Security is a Must, but for the amount of money paid to stay at this resort an All-American family should not be subjected to that type of treatment.

Review 91:Valet parking well organized- hassle free arrival/departure, parking attendants and baggage handlers were extremely professional and kept things moving. Close walking distance from resort to city walk and islands of adventure

Review 92:Having never have stayed in a clubroom before we were curious what the difference would be compared to a normal stay. The world of difference. The staff was awesome, snacks & drinks for refreshments and tasty food that was included. The hotel itself is massive, but never feels crowded. The free upgrades to universal fastpass is a must.

Review 93:Management needs to empower there teams. Front line staff had to " ask a manager" for every small inquiry. At check in an "assigned" room is not changed even if an equal level of room is ready. We watch other guest receive rooms for 4 hours while we sat in the lobby.

Review 94:Great location and the front line staff in the hotel worked hard and very pleasant.

Review 95:7 dollars for a bottle of water... So extremely expensive. And everything is nice on the surface but if you look closer you will see that the hotel is really outdated: for that amount of money you expect something else

Review 96:nearby universal studios and express pass, lovely and nice pool.

Review 97:Everything costs extra, even mini fridge and microwave. Parking was $20 a day and at least half the time we drove around waiting for someone to leave so we could have a spot.

Review 98:It was nice to have universal studios a boat ride away and liked using the express pass at the park.

Review 99:Honestly there was nothing not to like. Being budget conscious this was more than I wanted to pay but the bonus of free fast passes was more than worth the cost of the room.

Review 100:I chose this hotel mostly because it included free fast passes for the parks. The price I would have paid for passes alone was far higher than the added cost of staying here. That said, the hotel is beautiful, the room and bed comfortable and the staff very welcoming. My kids lived the pool and movies at night!

Review 101:Expect to spend a lot while staying here- nothing is complimentary. Some staff need to reflect the charm of the resort with brighter expressions, and not look bored- you are part of the experience.

Review 102:The environment was so relaxing, and beautiful; it was the favorite part of my vacation experience in Orlando.

Review 103:The bathroom is dated and needs modernising. I expected a more luxurious room.

Review 104:Great bed, spacious room, good pool area, great location and facilities. Very good to be able to have complimentary express pass for Universal and Islands of Adventure.

Review 105:This was a weekend getaway. It was fantastic, terrific way to unwind at the Lagoon pool. The staff were terrific from check in to check out.Already scheduled my next visit.

Review 106:Loved being on property to get the early admission to the park and express passes for free. Great outdoor pool for family. Always found a place to sit and staff was wonderful!

Review 107:The pillows were not comfortable and the bed seemed to be very old.

Review 108:Very convenient way to visit Universal Studios with a short boat trip or leisurely stroll. The bedroom which was a small suite that we upgraded to on arrival was overlooking the pool but was very dark. Good choice of restaurants.

Review 109:Its' really expensive and although convenient, over priced. The restaurants in the hotel were not good quality. Thank goodness for Emeril's Tchop restaurant. Amazing!!

Review 110:I loved how you could walk to Universal City Walk and the parks. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The pool area and little beach were very relaxing.

Review 111:A lot of hassle changing rooms due to a problem with the first one. Checked in, room was available so we put our overnight things in the room before going to the park. Came back to find our room had been changed due to a leak. It took almost an hour before we were told what was happening, given keys to the new room and had our belongings delivered to the room, subject to a security check, by which time we were late for our meal reservation and ended up having to pay for the meal by credit card as they hadn't activated the room charge facility on the new room. More hassle than it was worth in the end.

Review 112:Close to Universal studios

Review 113:construction had not been completed on our floor.

Review 114:location, free fast pass to universal and early admission to Harry Potter provided by the hotel. Friendly staff.

Review 115:lack of on site moderate restaurants Menu at poolside restaurant Lack of assistance with all universal has to offer

Review 116:express passes Proximity to Universal and City Walk Pool when music was loud

Review 117:Price assumed people would be using parks (assumes value in earlyentrance and speed pass), where some of the party physicallycouldn't go to parks. Also, price for pets (a per night charge) washidden and charged at time of stay, which is ridiculous as the cost ofcleaning does not increase based on the number of nights stayed -- andthe pets could only go in one small area of the property to go to thebathroom and stay in the room the rest of the time. Also, was told bythe staff when booking that four people could not stay in one room. Inreality, we could have had one room not two! At this price, alternatelocations including the four seasons would have been much much nicer andmuch less expensive! And the fact that we were told we needed to booktwo rooms for four people was an out flat lie!

Review 118:Location; Pool

Review 119:The first room they gave us was very noisy as they were updating the rooms above us, the only thing we could here was hammering and driving it took nearly 2 hours to sort it out

Review 120:The swimming pool

Review 121:We found the drinks to be overpriced and there was no free wi-fi in the room

Review 122:The main reason for our stay was the location - near to the parks - and thei express passes for the rides.

Review 123:Long wait times at check in, housekeeping rushed us out of room to clean each morning despite do not disturb sign, on property restaurant service was poor.

Review 124:Loved the remodeled rooms and the location close to the parks.

Review 125:Didn't even catch his name but overnight valet went out of his way for guests. They all really hustled. And every time I called for anything, I was addressed by name. It's the little things!

Review 126:We loved being so close to the park--we took a swim break in the afternoon--nice pool! The staff was super friendly. We were there just before Easter so early entrance and the express pass helped us a lot!

Review 127:Thought hotel was average. Pool was crowded and room was just OK-dryer plugged in the hallway outside our room for first two days-drying off a spill or damp?? Didn't leave a good impression.

Review 128:Close to Universal

Review 129:Our room was in need of remodeling. Also, had problem with the shower and coffee maker didnt work. The floor in the closet was filthy. I'd expect much more for the price of the room. The restaurant food quality was average

Review 130:The feel of the lobby and pool area. Very relaxing and nice staff.

Review 131:To psy 20.00 dollars per day for self parking when Iwas payment 334.00 dolar per night

Review 132:The pool awesome, the room was big , the park so near was great, the fass pass good, the staff very nice excellent hotel

Review 133:I am trying hard to think of a single complaint but can't come up with one.

Review 134:I loved the beauty of the hotel and pool with the man made beach. Room was very comfortable and clean. Location to Parks and city walk was perfect. Very friendly Staff. The complimentary cucumber water at the pool completely won us over. Would definitely book here again

Review 135:We loved every moment of it, so there's nothing negative to report!

Review 136:We liked being able to have our dog with us at the resort and being able to walk to Universal Studios. The concierge even helped us arrange for a dog sitter in the room so we could spend the day at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
