Reviews for Sea Rose Suites
Review 1:All minor gripes: The Wi-Fi is annoying in that every time one uses it, a new sign-on is required. Other places require an initial sign-on and after that, it's automatic--very simple. Also, we had requested an in-room coffee maker for the early riser and while they did furnish one, there was no coffee or filters until they were specifically requested. They graciously accommodated the request but I was reminded of the old joke about Mainers. ("Do you have the time?" Mainer looks at watch. "Yup".) I guess you have to be specific and complete with requests. Apparently, they lack conventional imagination.
Review 2:Comfortable but compact suite, easy access, close free parking, mostly helpful staff (4 out of 5 people were great, one was in need of some "training"), morning coffee availability in lobby is nice.
Review 3:So easy to get out of the area to travel. The location was close enough to town and Perkins Cove. The uniot we had was spacious and had the right amenities. Even dish liquid and coffee filters were supplied.
Review 4:Nothing in particular.
Review 5:Location and access to restaurants was excellent. We made use of the on site laundry and the parking at the rear of the property was easy to access.
Review 6:We arrived at night and the decor, lighting and cleanliness on the outside was pleasant and welcoming. The suite very clean and welcoming. I normally have a hard time in hotels due to questionable cleanliness but not here! Excellent! I would highly recommend the Sea Rose.
Review 7:Everything about our stay was terrific. The staff were extremely accommodating and our condo was clean, spacious and lovely. The location was in short walking distance to Perkins Cove as well as to the beach. My husband and I enjoyed a fun weekend and would highly recommend this establishment.
Review 8:There were a LOT of stairs to the unit and it was across the street. The heat was tricky and we had to turn it way up to make it work. The light bulb at the top of the stairs wasn't working and we told the front desk two times about it and it wasn't fixed.
Review 9:The location was perfect. The rooms were very large and the unit was very clean.
Review 10:We had suit 401 and a lady entered our room with her key while we were inside, also everybody passed and looked into our windows, which need blinds for some privacy
Review 11:There was a nice indoor pool, the apt was fully equipted
Review 12:Central location, nice accommodations- suite style room with kingside bed and terrace, Staff was pleasant and had good recommendations for dining. We had a great stay.
Review 13:The unreasonable attitude of the management in complying to a request for two nights unless I paid substantially more money. He would rather let a property stay vacant rather than give me an extra night for the same price. It just fearlessly, not classy at all.
Review 14:The disposition of the staff.
Review 15:We were disappointed in the size of the indoor pool. Also, it wasn't very warm especially with the jacuzzi jets on. A continental breakfast would have been nice.
Review 16:We enjoyed having the extra space of a suite. We also liked having the kitchen with refridgerator, microwave, and coffee maker.
Review 17:Relaxing in the evening before bed was horrendous. The sofa needs to be thrown out. Plus, with the pub chairs at the table, there wasn't even a comfortable chair inside...I dragged one in from the porch. I also didn't like that many of the lights didn't work. They should really check all the bulbs. I did ask the gal in the office to come check out our outside light as we couldn't even see where to put the key to unlock the door. She did, of course, handle that immediately...and graciously. ☺️
Review 18:Very spacious...and the two bathrooms was a real plus
Review 19:The only thing that was subpar was the sleeper sofa which was not very comfortable.
Review 20:The staff was really nice and helpful. The location was great. It is walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We also liked the pool.
Review 21:1.Upon arrival we needed turn on the heat. We found the thermostat broken with a bent conductor. It would not turn on and kept falling off the wall. Fortunately, my husband was able to bend it back in place and repair it. 2.The bed was was difficult to sleep in because, it was hard, and without cushioning . 3.The walls were very thin, so you could hear noise, from loud rushing water, from toilets being flushed, and people showering. You could also hear amplified noise from people walking in other suites and the bathroom fan running. 4.The suites were located across from the office on a curvy part of the road. You had to unload luggage at the office and park away from your room across the street. Traffic was constant and the drivers did not yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk.
Review 22:Easy walking distance to Perkin's Cove, Marginal Way, the local restaurants and Downtown Ogunquit. The rooms were very clean and well cared for. The room was attended to every day and the front office staff were friendly.
Review 23:having to leave!
Review 24:very very very , clean and accommodating town house suites, all the comforts you could ask for, even well furnished kitchen too, I love the details right down to the dish towels and cutting board! beautiful landscaping, indoor pool, outdoor pool my sister can't make up her mind.. again very clean, so many tV's ..so many pillows!! very charming bedrooms, extra blankets and throws, what really tops it for me is the bathrooms ..very clean, spacious enough linens!, the little amenity bottles that always smell amazing..nice lighting and the very best shower pressure ever!! I'm in heaven! its been our third stay..and it just gets better.. and having the folks at the front desk remember you is always a thrill, they are so nice. but not just daytime the nite shift same thing - they are so sweet and just want you to be happy.. love the location, we park for the weekend and can walk everywhere, its right in the middle - marginalway..or Perkins cove and all the shops inbetween..many thanks and see you next year!!
Review 25:Location is wonderful, leave the car parked and enjoy the community, cafes, art gallery and sea side walk on foot. Staff very friendly and the suites very comfortable.
Review 26:Traffic but the hotel has little to do with that!
Review 27:We had a beautiful two room suite. One of the top hotels we have stayed in, period. Through the week, the value is fantastic.
Review 28:for the money you could find many places that are better located. Very noisy street with trucks, cars, bikes etc. Poor soundproofing. The sitting area was very limited with one couch only facing a blank wall with a TV mounted on it. Coffee pot but NO coffee. Had to go to lobby after 7:15 to get a cup. Breakfast not included for this price. Poor internet service; Uncomfortable pull out couch. I would not give it the 9.2 review that I based my selection on. Too many other choices in this area.
Review 29:easy walking distance to perkins cove and the downtown area.
Review 30:Thé big noise comming From water pipes especially From water heating system (Room 405).
Review 31:Room very Nice, clean and well decorated. Excellent service and facilités.
Review 32:Parking far from room. Hills to climb to get to room. Big lumpy bed, small TV. Didn't care for just sliding doors. Seemed odd that kitchen/living room upstairs and bedrooms down stairs. Felt like we were sleeping in a basement. Didn't feel cozy.
Review 33:Location. Over all ok.
Review 34:A little noisy in the morning due to people moving chairs around overhead, but didn't hear talking or tv. Also parking for our building was across street and downhill, so people should call the hotel to discuss parking if proximity is very important.
Review 35:Extremely clean and fresh. Very nice decor, bedding. Loved the suite.
Review 36:I loved the overall layout of the property. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The deck was wonderful. It was walking distance to town and Perkins Cove. The pool was very lovely.
Review 37:Kitchen is more for reheating and snacks Would have loved a rollaway option for an additional bed
Review 38:Loved the quick access to; Perkins cove Marginal way Beaches in cove along marginal way The nearest beach was just a few minutes away up Israrel Head Laundry room
Review 39:Bed was very firm and slightly uncomfortable for us. We're used to a pillowtop mattress at home.
Review 40:Good central location. 1BR townhouse was very spacious and clean.
Review 41:Kitchen only has a 2 burner hot plate, leaving little room to cook and barely any counter space. Not a huge deal for an overnight, but when trying to make food for young children it can be tight.
Review 42:Great location. The suite was very accommodating for our family of 4.
Review 43:I did not like the following: 1) the bed/mattress was not very comfortable for 2 people; 2) it would be nice if something other than coffee was available to guests (and coffee available throughout the day); 3) that full prepayment for our 4 day stay was requested immediately upon check in instead of departure; and 4) the pool/gym was only open until 8PM.
Review 44:I found our room, a 1 bedroom suite, to be very comfortable, very spacious and very clean.
Review 45:The art work on the walls was out dated.
Review 46:You would be hard pressed to find cleaner accommodations. Loved the townhouse style suite. Our daughter had the outdoor pool all to herself. Walking distance from local restaurants & attractions.
Review 47:The only draw back is that the balcony face the car park but hey it is what it is.
Review 48:The suites are perfect for us we have a 22 month old so it felt big enough that he could run around. The location is great a short walk in either direction brings you to the beach or The cove. The receptionist was lovely she even helped us out with a late check out which allowed for us to have another morning at the beach which our son loved. Having laundry was amazing, we put it on the night before we left which meant that I wasn't dragging loads of wet clothes home. Over all a gem of a place we will be back.
Review 49:Nothing really but although coffee was excellent in the morning, 08.00 is a bit late. Why don't they provide coffee for machines in the room?
Review 50:We had an upgrade which gave large accommodation for the stay and we enjoyed the space. Pool was lovely after a day's travel. Great to be able to walk a short distance to Perkins Cove.
Review 51:Suggest they give trash and recycling bins! My father went through our trash at the end of the weekend and separated it all because we did not know earlier there was recycling.
Review 52:Kitchen was great, beds comfy and plenty of room for us all.
Review 53:Room a bit too warm even with no heating on and very cold outside!
Review 54:Location Cleanliness Comfort of huge bed Nice short walk to town and nearby Perkins Cove Great location for touring Friendly and helpful
Review 55:parking was across the street so we had to lug our stuff across then up the stairs. a lot of work & very inconvenient
Review 56:clean, easy to walk to places of interest
Review 57:kitchen facilities do include dishes, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a coffee pot, but do not include a stove/oven which limits in-suite cooking. There is, however, access to outdoor grills, which would be nice in the summer.
Review 58:the location is perfect and it is extremely comfortable and roomy. We will definitely come back.
Review 59:The minute we drove into the quaint town we knew we had picked the right place for our week stay.Everything we wanted was within walking distance from the Sea Rose .We also did a lot of looking at Antique shops which there are lots of in the area. Our only disappointment was we couldn't get tickets for the Playhouse.Next time we will get them as soon as we arrive or ahead of time .We travelled 12hours to get to Ogunquit and it was well worth it .We had a town house for our stay and it was excellent .Thank you for our wonderful experience Bob and Debbie Kincardine Ontario Canada
Review 60:The beds in our room were not as plush as I would have like so not overly comfortable and the couch was lacking in the comfort department also.
Review 61:Amazing location, just a few minute walk away from everything. Very large and spacious suite. Nicely decorated.
Review 62:The suite was across the street from the main building. We had to roll our luggage across the street and up about 10 steps to our suite. Older guests might have a tough time with the way that is set up.
Review 63:The suite was large and roomy, Wish we could have stayed more nights.
Review 64:Sadly we only stayed one night but you could have a great week here as the suite facilities were excellent. If you were self catering the kitchen was very well equipped. Sparklingly clean and very new kitchen and bathroom. Also a lovely swimming pool if you want. Walkable to the centre of Ogunquit - 10 minutes.
Review 65:We had to take two rooms because the booking said the room only slept 3 and there were 5 of us. The room easily could have held 5 of us. The boys cried when separated from one another for the night.
Review 66:The suite was luxurious and within walking distance to Perkin's Cove, restaurants, shops, Marginal Way, and the beach. It had two swimming pools.
Review 67:Noise from the pool filter, if staying on ground floor of main building, could be turned off at night.
Review 68:Well located, well equipped, nice size. Perfect for a short stay
Review 69:Unfortunately, due to the time of year and the unseasonably warm weather, our room was nearly swarming with ladybug/beetles. The staff were very good about the issue but, although the bugs were harmless, it was not something we would want to experience again - at least not without being forewarned.
Review 70:The location was close to everything in both downtown Ogunquit and Perkins Cove. The size of the suite space was great; bed was large and very comfortable; fridge was perfect size for all of our leftovers and our drinks; full kitchen implements provided. The onsite laundry was nice to have - we had a load to do while we were there and it worked out well. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Parking onsite was good.
Review 71:Building we stayed in had no privacy people across from you were facing you when you sat on deck would stay at building across street next time
Review 72:Very clean and quiet in between Perkins cove and downtown close to mArginal way
Review 73:Nothing !
Review 74:Stayed in the main Harbor House in a corner 1 bedroom suite. Large, bright, very clean & fully equipped apt. The whole complex is well maintained inside & beautifully kept outside grounds. Large bedroom & a super comfortable King mattress. Really rare to have an indoor & outdoor pool. Can't wait to go back in warmer weather to enjoy the outside pool... Within a short walking distance of town center & lovely Perkins Cove & Marginal Way. Really happy with our choice & for sure we will be returning. Courteous & friendly staff, special thanks to Olga !
Review 75:Room was really hot and stuffy when we first arrived. Could not sleep with windows open due to traffic noise.
Review 76:Liked feeling like I was not in a hotel and loved the location. Close enough to everything but not in the middle of town.
Review 77:The Searose Suites were lovely, the staff was very friendly, and helpful. The location was very convenient to everything. The suite was very nice ,clean, and comfortable. I would recommend and would also like to return again myself
Review 78:That I had to leave. I was on the top floor and they had no elevator soI had to use some of my energy to get that luggage there.
Review 79:The size and decor. Felt like being at homr. Nice living area andnice size bedroom. Indoor pool was a nice relaxer. The walk intotown was easy
Review 80:Our particular suite was a little outdated with a large flowered sofa that had a small rip on the arm. I believe the rate was discounted slightly for this. We could hear the people above us moving around the second night of our stay (their living room was above our bedroom). We couldn't get the floor lamp in the living room to work (even switched bulbs). No major disappointment, I'd stay in the same room again.
Review 81:Spacious one bedroom suite, equipped with everything we needed. Very clean. Helpful friendly staff. Central location to shops, restaurants, Ogunquit beach and Marginal walking paths. Lots of natual lighting in suite. Reasonable rates. Comfortable bed.
Review 82:Courteous and helpful staff especially front desk person. Looking forward to staying here again. Location is perfect in the middle of Shore Rd. 1/2 way to Perkins Cove or Downtown.
Review 83:Too many stairs ! It won't stop us from coming back though.
Review 84:So close to everything. Felt like we had our own little townhouse in Maine. Everything we needed was right there. Very quiet for the location. Everyone there was so pleasant and helpful. We plan to come back every year.
Review 85:The little kitchenette had everything I'd need in my own kitchen - very well thought out! The rooms were comfortable and clean. The location was great too - walking distance from the center town without having to worry about parking. We had a lovely stay.
Review 86:Wish there could have been some Ocean view, but knew that going in.
Review 87:Nice comfortable rooms, great pool area outside. Nice staff and coffee in the morning was nice.
Review 88:You can hear the other room's noise and A/C ventilation. Rooms are small and not a good layout. Too expensive.
Review 89:Location. It is walkable to all. Staff are very nice too.
Review 90:This place is awesome. Loved it
