Review 1：Geckos that kept coming in the room from under the door. The hotel needs updating badly and the litter needs to be picked up outside, I was there for a week and the same trash was still there.
Review 2：The area of Florida the hotel is located has lots of businesses and easily accessible beaches.
Review 3：We arrived about 10:30 at night,I called from the airport to let them know we were on our way.The office was all locked up & when I rang the bell it took them over 10 minutes to answer!!Then they said they could not find our reservation,so I had to pull it up on my phone,while still standing outside in the rain,The owners wife said your voice , your voice!!!My niece asked for. trash bag a day later & they never even answered her,It was just terrible!!

Review 5：Clock radio broken, phone not working, rug filthy, windows were unlatched when I arrived. Sink stopper not hooked up. Tv keeps turning off every 15 minutes.

Review 29：The lights and the sink did not work as well as the door key. The hotel owner's response to the situation was horrible. It took him a long time to fix the problems. When you ask to fix, he had an attitude like he did not care. Breakfast was terrible. I am a diabetic and he had only coffee and Danish. They need more varieties. My family is not coming back. Terrible customer service.

Review 31：We were shocked and disappointed when we arrived... The hotel is on the Gulf Boulevard but it still is a 10 minute car ride to get to the Gulf in Clearwater Beach. Not much in walking distance. A grocery store and a couple of restaurants.

He also acted as though he didn't trust the money I used as payment, nor did he trust our word when saying it would be just my mother and I staying in the Hotel. He was very persistent on asking if it was just the two of us. I wish that there would have been the final price listed somewhere rather than finding out when I went to pay that it was an extra $30 or so due to sales tax. The beds were not comfortable and there was mysterious hairs on the sheets of my mothers bed. The shower water was very harsh. When turning on the TV the volume was incredibly loud every time. The fridge froze our food and there was no way to lower the temp to prevent that. Overall not worth the money.

Review 40：First the guy at the counter told me that they didn't ave my rservation and they closed everything three days ago. I explained that we booked at least 3 weeks ago and I had a confirmation from booking.com. He said I have nothing but smoking. I'm 9 months pregnant I cannot stay in smoking. He said then I have nothing for you. I said fine.... sign something saying you won't charge my card (as it was past cancellation option ) and he said no I won't sign. Then all of a sudden he found my reservation. He put us in an upstairs room after I asked for a downstairs (9 months pregnant) and when we were checking in, two people ran from the room. As we got up there, you could smell they sprayed some sort of horrible room freshener. We had to open all the windows and air it out in there. There was mold all over the ceiling in the bathroom. We checked in at 8:30PM and went to eat. Then we stopped at the Wal-Mart to get bleach, gloves, sponge, a candle, and air neutralizer. I CLEANED THE ROOM. We brought our own sheets and comforter and pillows anyway as we drove, so at least I knew the bedding was clean. I literally bleached every surface and even the ceiling. It was our wedding weekend. We eloped to Fort Desoto but stayed in CLearwater. Never again. Next time we will pay the higher prices. Thank GOD the windows opened.

Review 44：The pool is enormous and the water clean, enjoyed watching the kids play in the pool and swimming in it myself. For the price the room was nice and clean. Anything you need is a short walk away. The beds were comfortable, the shower was adequate and the air cool and quiet. The staff is friendly and you feel welcome.
Review 45：wifi couldn't use it at all....there were ants by the air conditioner but I am from Florida and ants are a pain and very hard to get rid of no other critters thank you...but this room had an unlevel toilet and the sink faucet was loose...all those I get b/c the hotel is dated but what is not good was the carpet....it could use a good cleaning...last time the smoking room was cleaner then the nonsmoking....go figure but I am sure I will stay again...Probably will mention to mgr the room num

Review 47：I didn't like the fact that the owners family memever walked around and peeped through the windows to see what rooms are available. That is just so unprofessional. Also, they gave someone my room key while i was still there.

Review 101：This is the second time we stay at Gulf way, and we are going back. We like the fact is very affordable and the room are very clean which is the most important. Very easy location for the price. A lot of stores close by and you can walk to them.

I was kinda upsetabout no coffee in-room especially....this is an important issue withme. The room furniture was ancient. No curtain on the bathroomwindow...sure, it was a higher window, but, really? The microwave wasold, and made a horrible creaking sound while in use....scary! I knowthis was a budget property.....but this missed minimumstandards....would be hard-pressed to give it even 1 star, and I am welltraveled and favor budget hotels. Very disappointed, wary of booking onyour site again, actually.
