Review 1：We arrived around 12 midnight after our flight. Before arriving to Michigan I already had ana email confirmation stating that I Reserved two nights. When we got to the hotel we went inside the lobby and the man was rude at first. He asked me for my confirmation number and then we paid for two nights. The next morning we had two interruptions from him and the housekeeping lady saying that we needed to open the door because it was time for checkout. My boyfriend then told him that we had paid for two nights and he left. I also paid for wifi that didn't work and they didn't refund me my money. The bathroom toilet didn't flush, the shower was broken, and the heat didn't work properly.

Review 2：The front desk clerk was watching a movie when we walked in and took a few minutes to actually acknowledge us. Then he seemed disgruntled at the fact that we booked the room for a cheaper price. Also our room had half of a roll of toilet tissue and no refill.

Review 3：Loved the spa. Nice and relaxing. Large shower as well. Quiet area and close to restaurants.

Review 9：Staff at check in was rude. Almost seemed bothered that he had to do his job. A lot of shady characters around the building, most of whom looked like they lived there. Room was extremely dated and smelled pretty bad. Refrigerator did not work and was full of fruit flies.

Review 11：Everything. Once we walked into the room and went to the bathroom there were cockroaches everywhere. We walked right out and went across the street to the next hotel.

Review 12：Run down. Pictures were from a better time. Most of the occupants were on the less than savory side. Dead bugs on surfaces. At check-in I was told they would honor my on-line price reservation even though they were supposed to charge more. Never heard of such a thing.

Review 22：First off, our room smelled heavily of marijuana. When we peeledback the blanket to sleep at night, we actually found marijuana onthe pillow.There was a HUGE wet spot on the carpet (approx. 4 feet in diameter) that smelled of mold. The wifi was also NOT free. My friend paid $15 extra at the desk for a wifi password which never even worked.

The bed was broken, the room smelled like old smoke, the in room jacuzzi was dirty along with the shower, mold in the room, floors were nasty.....lets just say they had an option for daily rates also. Will NEVER return or recommend!!!

Review 27：We checked into a super cold room (no heat was turned on) and it was a snowy/ cold winter night, had cigarretts in the non smoking room. The room was dirty, no wifi, staff was not friendly. I will never come back to this hotel. It was a disaster, absolutely terrible.

Review 32：The room was filthy. Footprints everywhere. Hand prints all over the bathroom. Also, they have centipedes! When I informed the staff of the big infestation his response was "well they come from the ground, I can't control whether they come in your room or not".

Review 33：When I checked in and went to the room the door was open and room was used. Staff was very rude. There was drug traffic all night long. There was not free Wifi as stated front desk said we had to pay for it. Room was very dirty. Old food in various places. I do not recommend to any one.

Review 35：The housekeeping used to go every morning nocking the door like if she was in the jungle and open the door even dough we toll her that didn't need anything. Also there were cockorachs and a big smell of cigarettes every morning.

Review 36：It could use more modern technology but they v were remodeling some of the other room's while we were there. Even if they never finished the remodeling project is still a great place to stay.

Review 37：It's in the middle night nick will always make sure your happy with everything that is, wrong. I stayed there with my 2 older kids and I don't understand why people are giving bad reviews. Their is not drug dealers outside of your room nor is there prostitute on the premises. When visiting travel back to grand Rapids in will definitely stay at the grand Rapids Inn again with all 5 of my children. Thank you nick and you're staff for all you did to make our stay as pleasant as possible during the very first snow storm that my kids got to see.

Review 38：The room was in a deplorable condition.someone had stubbed cigarettes against the wall next to the bed. There were packages of ketchup behind the baseboards by the bed. The plaster was coming off the wall next to the air conditioner, the plug in did not work. Bed looked rumpled ,like someone had already slept in it. There was a toilet plunger in the bathroom which my husband had to use after he used the toilet. The tub was filthy. Not sure when it got a good scrubbing. Even though the room was supposed to be smoke free , you could smell smoke. By the time we left (10 min) our clothing and hair smelt of smoke. They showed us another room, this room was just as bad. Three of the four lights did not work, room was smelly , toilet had plunger . There were unsavoury characters hanging around the building, garbage was strewed all over the yard and walkways to the room .Needless to say we informed the desk clerk we were leaving and would like a refund. We were told to call the owners the next day. The owners answer was , sorry no refund. There is nothing wrong with the rooms. I have never come across facilities like these. Luckily we were able to procure a room at the travel lodge across the road. Trust me the saying "if it is too good to be true, it is"comes to mind.

Review 39：I stayed in room #222 and it was filthy. It's really a shame that management of this hotel did not do their job. This hotel should not be on the market at all.

Review 40：There was a couple fighting outside our room the whole time and overall didn't feel fully safe. We did a search and there are 36 sex offenders that call this place their home.

Review 44：The towels were so old they were gray instead of white. There was trash left in the bathroom on the floor. One of the beds had no sheet, just a coverlet. The other bed was so wrinkled that it looked like the sheets had not been changed. It was just bad all around - not even worth the 50 bucks...

Review 45：Although the rooms do look good on the photos there are many details that could be improved upon. The hot tube room is nice but could use new carpet. The towels looked like they were hand washed and put on a clothes line. The room also had a "musty" odor. And I would say the bathroom was "basically" clean, it tolerable to use.

Review 51：This place was absolutely disgusting. The room was extremely dirty, there was no toilet paper anywhere in the room, and I stepped on a beer bottle cap that was on the floor next to the bed. Both the bedroom and bathroom had obviously not been cleaned in months. We only stayed for ten minutes before deciding we did not feel safe enough to stay here. Do not stay at this place. It is gross and unsafe. You could not pay me to go back.

Review 52：Dumpy. Killed Cockroach. Imprint of where someone had laid on the bed. Bathroom was gross. We didn't stay. Sheriff was there arresting a women when we checked in. The Sheriff told us we were in a bad area and it wasn't safe there. We got our money back and left.

Review 53：The hot tub did not work, which was the whole reason for booking the room. My husband called the desk to ask about it, the reply was 'well, there is a sensor for the water level'. My husband told the desk clerk when we checked out, no accommodations were made in adjusting our bill. We basically had a large bath.

Review 57：Everything. Staff was extremely rude. 30 minutes prior to check out my door was opened (had chain lock on it, thankfully) with housekeeping yelling at us to check out. Shocked, went outside and she was doing this to all of the rooms...never have experienced that and I travel every weekend. Room was dirty, fridge/freezer had dead bugs. The bed is constructed of 2x4's and you can see it. Empty beer bottles outside everywhere. People wondering around all hours. When we returned for our dreadful stay, a man kept hollering at us as we walked to our room, followed us to our room. (He left once he realized we weren't letting him in, but not before we stated we had called the police) Asked for internet password, to our surprise it was $5 a day. Overall place is run down, people in and out all night, staff is rude and would not know it if I came across a staff member as they all had sweats on, housekeeping had slippers. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Place is not safe or clean. Better off in your car. Wish I would have not been in a hurry and have done more research.

I was only in the room for one minute before I realized it was covered in roaches and I grab my bags and ran out as fast as I could. It's filthy, NO HOUSEKEEPING, filled with roaches.
