Review 1：The restaurant seemed to be lacking in experience as far as the staff...the room was pretty empty but the hostess attempted to seat us practically on top of another couple. We received coupons for a free gift and a complimentary glass of champagne to redeem at the spa but were told we would be given them after our massages. we never got them. we were so relaxed we forgot...but so did the staff. : (

Special thanks to Terrica Thomas for the upgrade of our room to ocean front when she found out at check in we left our last hotel in Naples Florida after paying top dollar for a room with poor conditions.We ended our vacation on such a high note with the plaza at Daytona that we can't wait to return again.What a great staff and beautiful hotel.

Review 5：I was disppointed in their customer service quality. This was our first visit at the Plaza Resort and Spa. It was to my surprise the look of your lobby was phenomenal. However we were not greated properly by the valet or by the front desk personnel . By the way it was not busy in the lobby at that time of our arrival, yet we waited some time before our initial greeting.

Review 8：They charged me in advance as per reservation. When I got in the hotel they informed that my booking was not paid. I had to proof myself and print the bank statement to show that the booking was already paid. They had a different price for the booking than my reservation. I had to print the confirmation to proof again. The lady from the Front Desk was very nice and tried to help. The manager/supervisor was very rude. I would not stay at this hotel again. There are better hotels around for the same price. Besides the ladies from the Front Desk the hotel has a horrible customer service. The parking is very very dirty not a parking in lot for a 4 starts hotel.

They don't have amc but doeshave golf channel?We did find a roach on the first night, pigeon dropping on the balcony, and our complaint about a nearby room having marijuana smoke wasn't handled. The restaurant is expensive and we never ate there because of it.

Review 34：The parking garage filled quickly and the corridor from the garage was horrible. We seriously thought about turning around and leaving. We continued on and much to our delight, the lobby was wonderful. The hallway to our room seemed very dated and not kept up but the room itself was a good value.

The restaurant was over priced, We could not get crab cakes because they did not receive the correct meat to make them and did not want to put out an inferior product which was totally fine but we ordered the $34.00 Rib eye both Medium and they came out well done they were sent back and came back out the second time the same we were only charged for one but still very disappointed! The bell and valet service was superb!

Review 67：We ordered room service and after waiting over an hour we called to see why it was taking so long. They forgot to process the order. Mistakes happen but all the restaurant manager had to say was "sorry". Sorry doesn't cut it if you want to keep my business. No offer was made to compensate for their mistake. I am in the restaurant business and regardless of what mistake is made you can usually keep your customer's business if you offer to comp just part or all of the bill. I can get a "sorry" from my teenagers that was about a heartfelt as it was from the manager. The parking was a problem as it was limited. We had a handicapped parking decal and found a space but after leaving the hotel we were never able to find another one. The handicapped spots were poorly marked and there were people parking in these spots that were not handicapped.

Review 69：We arrived and their was a line to check in so the Manager got a Laptop and began helping check us in. He did so without anyone complaining. He just saw the need. We enjoyed that the wifi was up to speed and that the room was very clean. I was talking with the Manager later and he gave me a tour and the history of the Hotel. The staff were all courteous and spoke each time they passed you in the halls.

It then took 15 minutes to get an elevator to the room as the elevators were small, over crowded and incredibly slow. I found it very expensive and not good value for money.

Review 79：Our room had a major moth problem. We killed a total of 11 moths (large ones) in our room at night, both nights we stayed, which was incredibly annoying. They came out one at a time and my husband would jump on a chair to kill it. Then another one would pop out. The kids were asleep so there was no point in telling the front desk at the time. The elevator sucks. Very slow, old, and small. We stayed on the 8th floor and my husband carried all of the luggage by hand using the stairs because the elevator wouldn't come. He was pretty upset to say the least. The carpet had major stains and so did the throw pillows. Yuck. There happened to be a group of teenagers on a chaperoned trip that was left to venture off by themselves around the hotel without supervision. They were pretty bad, throwing things off of the balcony in the lobby, staying up late and being incredibly loud. This was by no fault of the hotel, but it did dampen our impression. The walls were paper thin and we could hear people in their rooms when walking through the hall. There was a lot of people in the room adjacent to us that had a "loud gathering" on their balcony. We could hear all of the conversations and the loud cackling of the guests until 1:30 am when I had to call the front desk to ask them nicely to move the party into their room and not on the balcony. The parking garage is also very small so you may not find parking if it is a weekend. We had to circle around a few times until we found a car leaving.

Review 80：For the most part, this place was okay. The location was great and it had beachfront access which was nice. It had a fridge, microwave, and countertop which was helpful. It was sort of clean for an old property and you could tell they tried. We also had a great view of the beach from our balcony. It had a nice, large, flat screen TV with satellite cable.

Review 81：We were told by the check-in host that our room credit could be used for the lounge or breakfast. Confirmed by kitchen host when we ordered breakfast. Upon checkout, the front desk places the full amt on our bill, and asked if we wanted to use it at the lounge (used for alcohol only) before leaving.

Review 83：Great location, beach, pool and staff. Robin, the bartender, lobby level overlooking the pool was spectacular! We mentioned it was our 20th wedding anniversary and before we knew it, she delivered a scrumptious dessert and wished us a happy anniversary. A manager came outside to ensure we had everything we need and congratulated us as well. The room was great and the shower had excellent water pressure! Loved the free valet parking too! They show a free outdoor, family-friendly movie and we saw fireworks on the pier from the property.

Review 84：The entire hotel smelled like an old wet dirty dishcloth. The rooms are badly in need of an upgrade, and it honestly wasn't worth the price.

Review 86：The accommodating demeanor of all of the staff. I booked a room, at the desk, on July 4th weekend. Not only did the front desk staff, (can't remember his name but it began with a "T") assist me with getting a room at such a crunch time but he assisted me in getting it at a great price as well. I literally left one hotel because it was not up to par and walked into the Plaza Resort and Spa and got an absolutely spectacular room with a great view and at a great price. My family and I received top rated customer service from every staff member from the restaurant staff, pool deck staff, front desk staff, valet staff, etc... Our plan was to check out the next day (because we could only get a room for one night due to the holiday weekend and a big race in town) and relax on the beach during the day so that we could see the fireworks show that evening. However, the customer service did not stop there! The valet guys made the end of our stay even sweeter by informing us that we didn't have to move our vehicle because we were checking out. The front desk confirmed this and gave us new arm bands and we were able to enjoy the facilities of the resort (pool, bar, movie on big projector in the lobby, restaurant, etc...) for the remainder of the day. The view of the fireworks from the upstairs patio of the Veranda Lounge was simply breathtaking. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back again!

Review 87：Be very careful of the "resort" service charge. The manager described this charge of $20 per night, which is not mentioned on booking.com, covers the free Wi-Fi , complimentary water, complimentary bar tab of $12, the use of the swimming pool, gym and the car park ( which booking.com describes as $8.50). People need to be aware of this charge. Don't let this put you off a very good, would be nice to be aware of it at least.

Review 88：Location you simply can't beach, its right on the beach and can walk directly from the swimming pool. Rooms are very spacious, clean and well equipped. Most staff are very friendly and helpful.

Review 105：The entire staff of the Plaza made us feel welcome from the moment wepulled up to the front door, We got settled and then made our way to thepool bar, for a drink, thinking we would go out for dinner. But we hadsuch a good time with the bartendes (Lil Bit & her associate?) thatwe stayed. Executive Chef Paul Lezwich took the time to stop by ourtable & actual sit to chat with us. The Luau was a blast despite therain, from the excellent food to the entertainment. On Sturday, weavailed ourselves of a "coule massage package in spa. Many thanksto Natalya, Alex, Claudine & Inna. I have never seen the look oftotal relaxation on my husbands face, that I saw that day. We so ejoyedthe property & all its comforts so much, that we didn't evenventure off property until late afternoon on Saturday Having said allthat, I see a bit normal wear & tear in our bathroom but not enoughto detract from our most awesome weekend of relaxation. Our goal was tojust "get away" and this weekend package made it one of ourmost memorable ever. Props to Property Manager, Lex Hollender, havingbeen in the hospitality industry for many, many years, I can honestlysay, you have a wonderful property & phenomenal staff from Valet toHousekeeping! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Review 106：The only downside was the outside noise was a lot louder than expected. But hey, when you are in Daytona you aren't spending much time in your room anyway.

Review 107：We had a wonderful week at the Plaza!! Very nice and very clean. Our ocean view room was clean and the housekeeping staff did a great job.. We ordered room service and it came quickly and the food was still hot when it got to the room. The pool area was awesome and the staff that work that area are very sweet and took great care of us.

From there you enter back into building and only access was to walk through a wedding party, chose instead to go through pool area to enter back into lobby. Should have better directions when weddings or occasions like this are going on.

Review 114：Front desk clerk did not let me know how much they were putting a hold on my card for incidentals. If the hold is $350, you should tell the customer that before swipping the card. At check out, the front desk clerk was not very accomadating when I was being overcharged because of the invoice not reflecting my booking.com pricing.

Review 117：Checking in took waaay too long. We waited at least 45 minutes. There were three people behind the counter, but one person was on the phone and looking frazzled the whole time. We had no problem, but everyone else seemed to. The same thing happened checking out. Once we got to the counter, the staff was friendly. Other than the amount of time to check in/out, this hotel is perfect.

Review 118：This hotel is right on the beach with very easy access. Loved that we were able to self park and come and go so easily. Ocean front room was really ocean front with no obstruction.

Review 119：Where do I start. My wife and I arrived Friday evening to find out that our reservation were cancels do to running a credit card with out knowing . I put that card on file just to hold the room I was going to pay cash when we arrived. So being that our reservation got canceled they put us in a room that faced the pool and the beach but come on I went to the east coast to watch the sun rise if I didn't want to see that I could of stayed any were in Tampa were I love not drive 21/2 hours to be disappointed
