Reviews for Stamford Suites

Review 1:Zero customer service. Forget any kind of concierge service here. If we needed anything (extra blanket, pillow, etc) we had to go pick it up ourselves despite being on the 7th floor. At the front desk, staff (including manager) had to finish their inappropriate personal phone calls in front of us before even acknowledging us (this happened upon check-in, later asking a question, upon check-out, getting a receipt...). Outdated tvs, appliances in rooms. Bathroom was extremely small, no 'extras' like cups or tissues, towels were super stiff & 'scratchy'. Couldn't wait to leave.

Review 2:Bed was comfortable.

Review 3:Wifi on some of our devices "sometimes worked" and " sometimes didn't"

Review 4:Liked the size of the room, as we are to be here for quite some time and everything is in walking distance

Review 5:Before booking. It clearly states it had a patio off of the room. Upon arrival no patios at this location. I was verry disappointed.

Review 6:The comfort of being at home with all amenities.

Review 7:No fans available for when a/c turned off. No ice machine on property. Unable to open windows for fresh air.

Review 8:Large space for the money. Clean. Could use some furniture updates. Good location and free wi/fi.

Review 9:Shabby, rundown surroundings and rooms. The included breakfast was not worth having - minimal unappetising food, spotty bananas, plastic plates and cutlery. The worst hotel we encountered during a month away.

Review 10:Nothing

Review 11:Kitchen had a old musty odor. Needs upgrading. The couch was old dusty and not to inviting. Had to cover it with a sheet and blanket, to feel comfortable. Did not like having to use a credit card to use the laundry facility.

Review 12:Location, continental breakfast, size of suite, open windows, clean bathroom, comfortable bed, flat screen tv, kitchen had pots, pans and dishes. The price.

Review 13:Very spacious.

Review 14:Lamps without proper switches; very obvious water damage in bathroom. Could stand to look less run-down.

Review 15:A/C in one room not working; curry odor from prior occupants.

Review 16:Place was smelly and outdated. No indoor pool. The pool was 3 blocks away!!!!! Never again staying there......

Review 17:The room needed a visual update. The decor was very dated

Review 18:The hotel was in a perfect location

Review 19:Breakfast -poor Decor-Chinese -outdated -dark

Review 20:Not much

Review 21:None to complain about

Review 22:Everything

Review 23:Breakfast

Review 24:Size of the room

Review 25:Poor breakfast and the kitchen had no cleaning supplies.

Review 26:Close to train station but in a nice area.

Review 27:Promised online a balcony, there is none on the property. The unit had outdated and "junky" furniture!!!

Review 28:NOTHING

Review 29:The kitchen was great!

Review 30:lots of room in the unit. good location

Review 31:I didn't like the pool was at a remote location. We were told it was open and when we got there we were told it was closing.

Review 32:Smelled like an ashtray.

Review 33:The hotel clerk said she would be sure our card was not charged.

Review 34:Very expensive compared to quality of hotel. Bit unsafe

Review 35:Room was nice. Nice location

Review 36:Couldn't connect to wifi on laptop, led to a third party site that kept loading and loading...Was able to on tablets though. Weird. Shuttle service in am was cancelled two times in a row, which was an inconvenience, since we choose this hotel because of the shuttle in part. Athletic club that has arrangement with the hotel for use of their facilities was rude, but the pool/facilities were quite nice.

Review 37:Room size and layout was great. Was very clean and beds comfortable. It was very quiet and enjoyed the variety in the continental breakfast.

Review 38:The decor was outdated and in need of an upgrade. The beds were uncomfortable and did not fit the advertised value of queen sized beds, but instead they were two full sized bed fitted into the queen suite. The garage space was very dark and dusty, and very difficult to navigate. It was a scary dark place, and had no clear signs of how to exit. There appeared to be some old cars stored there, in addition to old beds piled up in a corner of the garage. The couches were very old and uncomfortable, and not at all appealing to the eyes.

Review 39:I like the layout of the room, and the abundance of closet space. The room was very clean, quiet and all kitchen appliances, electrical equipment and plumbing worked well. The hall ways were immaculate, and the lobby was beautiful although in need of an upgrade. The staff were very helpful.

Review 40:Pull out sofa was uncomfortable to sleep or sit in. Would like more variety for breakfast. Never able to connect to wi-fi.

Review 41:Very clean, large suite. Bed was very comfortable. Location was great.

Review 42:The only issue was that the bathroom exhaust fan was too loud.

Review 43:Stamford Suites is just like staying in an apartment, which is just what I was looking for. The full kitchen and open floor plan to the dining & living room areas was perfect! The room was comfortable for work, leisure, relaxation, and preparing meals. I had a corner room with a nice view of the area, which added to the comfort. Parking was convenient. Staff was very attentive. The bedroom was very comfortable and conveniently located down a hallway away from the living room area, which added to the comfortable apartment feel. Excellent place to stay especially if you want to be able to cook your meals, or if you want to feel like you're at home when you're on an extended stay. I will definitely return to this location when I'm in the area again. :) I highly recommend it!

Review 44:Noisy. Next to police station. Floors in kitchen were sticky. Felt very 1970s... Beds not comfy...

Review 45:The staff was so friendly and helpful... Really the best... We had pipes freeze in our house and needed a place to "call home". Free parking.

Review 46:no heat we to use cards to put the heat on there was no blankets on sofa bed or sheets we had to call down for it no breakfast cereal and coffee it wasn't worth the money I spent I ask for king size bed both nights I stayed and had queen size bed both nights when I payde for king both nights was horrible

Review 47:the kitchen area

Review 48:That it was described as having a pool and gym and when you got there ,were told its at a different location, pull out couch came with nosheets blankets pillow etc , its a suite with 2 beds and they give youtwo big towels and two little towels

Review 49:The hotel did not have our reservation when we got there after a long drive, however fortunately this was not a problem and we were given the suite we had requested. The only other thing that was a bit irritating was no kettle in the room. There was a tea/coffee machine but the cups did not fit it, so we could not use it.

Review 50:We were close to all the amenities and found a great Diner called Lucky's well worth a visit. We were not so close to the railway station but there is a good multi-storey car park available and within 45 minutes we were at Penn Street Station, New York.

Review 51:I booked a kingsize bedroom appartment, but when I arrive they said they dont have. And gave me the room without windows. I was like in cave. Tried to change, unsuccsessfully. When I said im leaving, they immidiately found a room I wanted.

Review 52:Spacious rooms, kitchen, jakuzii, freezer. Shuttle bus.

Review 53:The room was in terrible shape. Furniture was sparse and uncomfortable. We had to switch rooms because the ac was broken. There wereinsufficient bedding and kitchen supplies. Fixtures were crooked or notinstalled correctly. The garbage disposal switch was right over the sinkwhich is a hazard for children. The staff was slow to respond to ourrequest for the missing bedding for one of the beds. Overall it seemedthat the management had just given up.

Review 54:Leaving.

Review 55:Complementary breakfast was a joke. Two plates of pastries, maybe a basket of fruit, a jug of orange juice and some flasks of coffee..... For the entire hotel and when it has gone... It's gone! Basically, most days, by eight there was little or nothing left.

Review 56:The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and having cooking facilities means you can do your own meals. It is more managed apartments than hotel, but your room is still made up every day.

Review 57:Narrow beds, old furniture and equipment, poor kitchen utensils and tableware.

Review 58:The only hotel in Stamford that offers two-room apartment with a kitchen.Great location - near Police station :-)

Review 59:Good amount of space, nice to have two TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the main/living room. It was also nice to have a refrigerator and kitchen area.

Review 60:Hotel should have a guest services guide in the desk to cover things like operation of the utility control, TV (you need to press two buttons to turn on and off), and location of business and fitness centers. Blower in bathroom is excessively noisy.

Review 61:Hotel is well-designed in terms of room size, parking, and kitchen equipment. Owner was very responsive to fix faulty utility control device.

Review 62:Rooms r without needful appliances. You need to pay extra money for microwave & refrigerator. Ridiculous, isn't it?

Review 63:Nothing. The staff & GM was not helpful at all. He was rude. Will not prefer to stay there again.

Review 64:The televisions did not work. The rooms were tired and worn out. It wasnot what I expected. Check in took forever and there were noinstructions for the Wifi. The breakfast was a joke. I am verydisappointed and spent too much money for the room

Review 65:Kitchen was of hardly any use as there were no Utensils WiFi was slow (only good for facebook/mail). They should also give wired internet. No Room service

Review 66:Nice rooms Friendly Staff Good location

Review 67:Shuttle service available at limited hours and not on weekends. Some staff are ill-informed about local facilities and facilities in the hotel My room did not have an automatic icemaker TV was somewhat difficult to operate and there were no printed instructions

Review 68:Rooms are spacious

Review 69:Stains on chairs, inoperable closet doors, lock on door broken, but fixed after I asked.

Review 70:The value for this facility is quite good. While the physical plant could use some improvement, the beds are comfortable, the TV's new, and the shower water is hot. Excellent location for working or visiting in Fairfield County and close to train to NY.

Review 71:Not really a complaint but they rooms and hotel are outdated and thesmell of pine sol is a bit much but hey at least you know they clean! ;)

Review 72:Perfect location right in the heart of downtown Stamford. The rooms wereclean, staff was extremely pleasant and friendly and the rooms weren'treally rooms but rather spacious one bedroom apartments. The kitchen wasequipped with everytthing youd have at home and need. Free and safeparking, free wifi, free breakfast that I can't comment on because weslept in thanks to the 12 noon checkout! The rooms were large andspacious and definitely a great bang for your buck! Will def stay again! The only reason for the good rating under facilities is because therooms and hotel is somewhat outdated but otherwise it was fantastic!

Review 73:Breakfast...supposed to be 'light continental'. At 9 am, and even at 8am, you're lucky to get a mini croissant or a mini dead muffin - somefruit available. Don't know how busy they are - but either do itproperly or not bother at all. Excellent Bedford diner just up the roadacross from the police station.

Review 74:Liked the space of the large one bedroom suites, each equipped with fullkitchen equipment. Decor dated somewhat - living room vast. Good cabletv in both bedroom /living roombathroom not bad - but needs updating. The owners are in the process of the exterior at ground level only 8 min walk to central Stamford

Review 75:Didn't have reservation info when arrived. - mgr had to be called Room key did not work - had to schlep all my belonging back down to lobby to resolve - mgr had to be called. Cable not working properly - mgr had to be called - never resolved.

Review 76:We wish the breakfast area was more expansive.

Review 77:This would be the 2nd stay for my wife and I and we absolutely love the Stamford Suites. The hotel is beautifully kept and has all the necessary amenities you could possibly want. Our favorite is the kitchen, dining and living room areas. The staff is very helpful and courteous. We would and have recommended this hotel to family and friends.

Review 78:I arrived late at night and there was 1 person at the desk, it seem verybaren and deserted. I was traveling alone and did not get a verysafe/comfortable feeling. There was a severe rain storm during the nightand woke up to the ceiling falling on the ground near the 7th floorelevator with water dripping.

Review 79:Most horrible stay in my life. bed bugs, no ice buckets, no ice, no chairs You should go out of business

Review 80:Fantastic, will be booking again in the future, great location, great staff, clean, secure, safe and sound nights sleep.

Review 81:There were not sheets on the sofa bed

Review 82:Beds were small for a couple.

Review 83:The room was a very good size room with full kitchen, living room area.

Review 84:Spacious rooms. Staff was polite, helpful and accommodating.

Review 85:The spacious accommodation and self-sufficiency making it a perfect place for an extended stay.

Review 86:Service was excellent, especially parking/valet service.

Review 87:The telivision/cable was difficult at best to navigate through and not sure why that was.

Review 88:We liked the room. It was a good value for what we got.

Review 89:price quiet location

Review 90:No coffee, tea, salt or pepper in kitchen, unlike Marriott

Review 91:Well run, quiet clean room

Review 92:Fitness centre quite a long way from hotel

Review 93:Spacious, comfortable rooms with good facilities

Review 94:The location fits my one-time purpose of staying.

Review 95:Building is old however decor felt good considering.

Review 96:Large rooms with kitchenette

Review 97:The Apartment Style Rooms!

Review 98:Furniture and appliances were a bit run-down looking.

Review 99:Rooms were airy, spacious and fairly comfortable.
