Review 1：All the construction was very loud and the elevators were very slow! Our bathroom sink didn't work the whole six days,other than that great hotel!

That weekend was turkey rod run weekend so almost all the motels was booked so I had to go search for a motel with my kids (2 year old and 8 year old) that was ready to get out the car because they have already been in it for 4 hrs.. I WILL NEVER stay here and wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone poor service...

Review 16：While I understand safety is very important, I think the way we were welcome one night was very unfriendly like. My family an I decided to visit Disney World during out stay. That day we came back to the hotel around 3 am as Disney is a about 1.30 hours from the hotel. When we arrived to the hotel the security guard/ police officer (I'm not sure what she was) asked us very rudely if we were guest at the hotel. We proceeded to our room but she keep starring in a very unwelcoming way to my child, my wife and I.

Review 38：The balcony furniture looked old and worn. There were small bugs(probably from the beach) that was in the room upon arrival, especiallyin the bathroom; it wasn't intolerable though. And the one elevatorwas horrible and terribly slow. We often opted for the stairs to get toour room faster which was tiring and inconvenient seeing that we were onthe 7th floor. And on the website, breakfast was advertised as beingprovided for 2 guests and we ended up having to pay.

Review 46：The on site bartender during the evening- WAS VERY unfriendly & unprofessional seemed like she just wanted to be ANYWHERE else but there, she complained about her job continually. The daytime bartender, soooo VERY slow, very young, seemed extremely inexperienced. She always seemed flustered, extremely confused and her over all demeanor came across like she was jus in WAY OVER her head! (The bar and restaraunt areas in general seemed understaffed for any kind of extra help to move things effeciently- especially over a BUSY Memorial Day weekend, there was an over abundance of waiting). If I had a drop rate deal the first night , should have qualified for it the second night as well - not bumped up regular price, because we chose to stay an additional night.

Review 47：Loved the staff for sure! Friendly, accommodating, so helpful and jus a pleasure to talk to. Really LOVED THEIR EFFECIENCY, getting Right back to u re: questions & HAD THE ANSWERS! Loved not being treated like just another guest. Tabitha, John, have excellent people skills. Awesome at their jobs! Maid and maintence service- totally impeccable! There was very little pressure for rushing on a late check out request, and I loved that they accommodated any extra or special requests- they went out if their way to help you and did it all with a smile, and "no problem" kind of attitude!!

Review 50：Like other reviews, the Plaza Ocean Club is an OLDER hotel and far from the photos on line. Parking is very limited; maybe 20 spots. The bathroom was not clean on arrival. There was a wad of toilet paper behind the toilet when I arrived that I would not touch and I'm guessing the staff felt the same way since it was not removed during my 3 night stay. The shower was gross. I had an ant problem in the kitchen nook that wasn't worth complaining about after chatting with a couple on the elevator that had roaches in their refrigerator. YUCK!!!!!! I had to remind myself that "you get what you pay for" the whole time. However, $290 for 3 nights through Booking.com ended up costing $361.68. That is $71.28 with resort charges and taxes(county sales tax, state sales tax and state sales tax on the resort fee). This was a lesson learned!!!!

One of the beds was broken down and was obvious it fell in middle. Mattress was disgusting. Room hadn't been dusted and were dirt in corners of bathroom. Staff contradicted each other when questions were asked. It took too long to be noticed or to be acknowledged in bar/restaurant to get service. Parking was limited and we had to park across the busy highway kiddie-corner from hotel in an open parking lot. The "lot attendant" consisted of late to middle-aged woman sitting at the entrance in her personal vehicle. Did not feel safe or secure. Public beach entrance was next to hotel and several non-guests of hotel entered property to use pool and facilities. Gate entrance from pool to beach was not in any way secured from public access.

Review 60：Hotel lobby smelled like vomit, 6th floor smelled like cat urine, microwave in my unit 1010 didn't work, wifi was very slow, very long wait on the elevators and my family was not able to enjoy the pool on day two because your drunk guests were throwing two footballs and a football dart across the pool to each other, hitting the pool and pool deck occupants from 1:20- about 5:15pm. Review 66：This hotel is not equipped for a busy/holiday weekend. They have 2 elevators for the entire hotel, parking for about 50 cars, and only 3 luggage carts. Their maid service doesn't care if you are sleeping in, they wanted us to come out of the room to clean it; not come back later. I stayed for two nights and had to get a new key twice.

Review 68：We stayed on the 5th floor and the smell in the hallway was absolutely disgusting. There is a major mold issue there. During check out I mentioned it and was told that they had a leak but the carpet was being pulled up that day. The smell was bad enough that I don't think it was something that happened recently. I would be curious to know if is actually taken care of. Speaking of smells, the smell in the lobby area was bad as well. Just not as strong because of the opening and closing of outside doors. The building is old and needs some attention. The elevators are also small and slow. This would not be a huge deal if you were able to just use the stairs. You can get up to the floor your room is on using the stairs however you can't get in as the doors are locked and there is no way to even use the room key to get in. I also noticed that they do not do a regular sweep of any common area for trash. The pool area would start off clean but as the day wore on everything left out by chairs and the pool just stayed there.

Review 69：The pool and the deck were very big. The food at the restaurant was also very good and priced reasonable. The breakfast Buffett was not even close to being worth $10 but the food off the menu was great. The beds were comfortable and the view was nice even though we had partial views. I also liked that you could get to and from the beach without needing your room key.

Review 70：The rooms were very unclean, mattresses were old and extremely worn out. No A/C throughout hotel, only in rooms. The lobby had a very fowl sewage like odor, as if there were a leak somewhere inside the building. The staff was untruthful, and misleading on our arrangements/requests.

Review 74：Several things:First, I had to pay for parking, where several other people parked for free in the same lot. Second, I paid for having a pool, but the public was allowed to use it, so there was no room for us when we tried to use the pool. Third, I had to pay for Wi-Fi, which was completely unusable the whole trip. Lastly, the fact that the hotel is "on the beach" is useless, since the city of Daytona allows the public to park cars ON THE BEACH...causing my wife and I to move our beach stuff several times before we finally got frustrated and went back to our room. We will NEVER go back to Daytona, and will NEVER stay at the Plaza Ocean Club hotel again nor recommend them to anyone else going there either.

Review 76：Pets really didn't have a area to be around outside. We sat at the outside upper deck from Sunday till Wednesday no problem with our small dog then on Thursday was told not allowed. I thought it odd that you are pet friendly but have a maid that is afraid of animals.

Review 78：The parking lot was not large enough to accomodate the guests and we were told that the overflow down the road had night security. It did not. We were told by hotel staff that we could park in the neighboring hotel parking lot that adjoined ours. The next morning we recieved a call that our car would be towed after we were instructed to park there.

Review 88：First of all I was charged the wrong total and from the beginning and was refunded 3 days later .so there goes the first impression. That was walking in the hotel then comes the room and everything else. The toilet was clogged all the time had to call front desk two time no one ever fix the problem so I left after 3 days and the bathroom was still clogged. the bathrooms were not that clean and the pool was dirty. Breakfast was a joke not good at all and expensive. Elevators not good did not feel secure they made a lot of scary sounds.It was not what I expected for the price I paid. Overall I had a good time off the hotel. but it would not be a hotel I would go back to.

Review 93：- Elevator was super slow - The hotel is just as normal as the other hotel. Nothing special. But what I did not like was the receptionists at front desk who did not greet their guests nicely. The check in time was at 4:00pm, but I had to wait until 5:15 with a ridiculous reason: "Your room is being cleaned. Come back after 15 minutes". And after 15 minutes I came back to check in again, they made me wait for another 15 minutes. I complained that I was told to wait 15 minutes and then I had to wait for another 15 minutes. It did not make any sense to me because the check out time was 11:00 am (hotel policy). They had plenty of time to clean up the room before the next guests arrived. Also, that was a big hotel so there was no reason to say if they did not have enough rooms for their guests. So what was the point of making reservation when you have to wait over half an hour to checkin? This is the reason why I rate "Staff" as "poor" I dont know if this has happened before but I just want to share it and hope you will not be in the same situation like I was

Review 97：It needs to be renovated. It's still nice but it's getting dingy. Shower head was cracked. Some of the drywall in various places was cracked or peeling. The microwave and fridge are just placed on top of each other, they don't really have a place. Oh and the elevators are the slowest in the world and are always stopping on random floors.

Review 98：It's prime location for spring breakers, which is why we went. It is a block away from the majority of the clubs and bars and a short walk from the pier. If your just looking for a place to crash when your drunk and to shake a hangover...it's for you. The downstairs restaurant is good though.

No wonder this place was a ghost town. No customer appreciation with all the shenigans of extra fees.

Review 126：My stay was the worst!! We were put on a floor with a high school and wehad to call for security 4 times. We also had to take a trip down to thefront desk twice to complain about the disrespect that came from thepeople next door to our room as well and the disturbance that came fromthe students on our floor. We were up all night due to the disturbancesthat took place.The only way I would recommend this hotel is to first find out if there are a large amount of students going to be there.
