Reviews for Extend A Suites

Review 1:The room was very cold we moved rooms still extremely cold the next morning no improvement had to use the shower to heat

Review 2:The location pricing and cleanliness was great

Review 3:Because we had dogs they gave us a room that looked, smelled, and felt like it hadn't been cleaned in a year. The toilet was dirty, it smelled of dust, dirt, and mold which you could see. We sat there for 10 minutes and decided we wouldn't sleep there. (It was 11:30pm).

Review 4:When I told the desk clerk we wanted our money back, he asked what was wrong. I explained the condition of the room and the clerk said, "we have nicer rooms." So we stayed in a nicer room.

Review 5:No towels or toilet paper in the room when we arrived. The room smelled of smoke. There were cobwebs by the window and gnats flying around. The refrigerator and microwave were not as clean. Housekeeping never came by to clean the room or bring towels so I had to go back a second time to get towels the next day. Both times the office would only give me towels for two people although I registered one adult and two children. I did not know there were weekly and monthly rates which meant there were sveral peole living there. People left a shopping cart in my parking space in front of my room. People were lurking around all hours after dark. We were in and out several times. There were people looking out their windows every time we left and came back. This was not a good experience. I thought about taking photo but did not know at the time that I could share afterwards. I definitely would have included the hair in the refrigerator and the brown bathwater.

Review 6:As of now I don't have any complaint because we were on the go once we got there

Review 7:For the price it's a good hotel because our trip was last minute. Convient and right by the highway with no noise

Review 8:Staff, I complained about roaches in my room and he made it as if I was telling a lie and he told his staff to go check the room before he could switch me. After switching the room he called to tell me I couldn't stay that night because I checked in at 2 am and didn't have it for the next day. Before I paid any money for the room I asked the staff how long would I have to wait until it would go over to the next day, I sat in the hotel for 30 minutes and waited on 2 am because it wouldn't make any sense to get a room and still have to check out at 11am. She told me it would go over to the next day, it even allowed her to do it in the system on the computer. The manager called me and was extremely rude to me, saying he don't care what she said, he's doing what he wants and basically I lost $50 and couldn't get my room. He said it's not his fault his staff was wrong and he'll fire her but he's still not giving me the room.

Review 9:Quiet

Review 10:Great experience during the entire weekend!! *Great sightseeing*

Review 11:Great rapport with the Staff!! Clean & comfortable rooms.Safe Surroundings for the "solo" traveler!!

Review 12:The first room was nasty no amenities 2nd room too small had to get a 3rd room to be ok inconvenient

Review 13:The only thing that was good was the price everything thing else was terrible

Review 14:Ring 8n bathtub no iron nor iron board in room like shown on picture. The bed you can't lay down to watch tv because it's the same height as bed

Review 15:Easy to get to highway

Review 16:Bath Tub Was Dirty. Was Given The Wrong Details Of The Room Twice. Had A Stinch. Lots Of Spider Webs & Spiders. Air Conditioner Stopped Running. Toilet Was Overflowing. The Ceilings Outside Were Falling Apart. Lots Of Abondoned Rooms.

Review 17:extremely disappointed. unfortunately this was a terrible experience. specifically requested a 'non smoking room' which smelled of cigarettes upon entering the room and a used ashtray was present on the table. the bathroom had a large puddle of brown liquid on the floor and the AC was dysfunctional at best. crumbs and hair under the bed cover. had we not arrived so late after a long drive would have definitely stayed elsewhere. one of the worst hotels I've stayed at period.

Review 18:Phone and bathroom electrical socket did not work. Spiders in bathroom. Dirty towel on shower curtain rail when I arrived and for two more days. No tissues in the tissue dispenser.

Review 19:I didn't like that I had to change my key 4 times because the door was broken to my room or whatever it was. That the heat didn't work. That fridge had old strange waffles in it when we got there. That the fire alarm was broken and without batteries and finally the remote didn't work with the TV. I was only there nights and out all day but when I wanted to wind down and get cosy it was hard..

Review 20:I liked how close it was

Review 21:I didn't like the fact that the offered free Wi-Fi was such a poor connection that none of my devices would connect. I had to use a lot of data and I'm not a fan of being offered something and then not getting what I was told.

Review 22:The location was ideal for being able to get back and forth to the Beale Street Music Festival, which was my entire reason for the trip. Even though the room seemed a little outdated, the bed was gigantic and super comfortable. I really liked that I got the room right above the office because it ensured a quiet stay.

Review 23:The commode was running when we entered, and it looked like a trail of "feces" from the bed to the bathroom. There was a dead bug in the middle of the bed.

Review 24:door would not close tight. Air rushed in. Had to prop a chair against it to keep it closed tight.Bathroom was dirty. You get what you pay for.

Review 25:Shoneys next door

Review 26:When I drove up I was happy. Nice looking place.the lobby was nice. I got to my room. Next door the glass was busted out. My room was dirty there was some kind of hair on my sheets I don't even want to tell you what kind of hair I think it was. The carpet was dirty and the TV was a box TV with lines in it.

Review 27:The staff was nice. That's it

Review 28:Location. Room. I almost hate saying this, since the staff was great but, the hotel, in general, is really a room, with an old-school, fat television, cheap, rickety furniture, unacceptably dirty shower stall/tub.... Wifi is a toss-up; would work and then "poof", nothing. No rhyme or reason. Rented a king online but, what do ya know, ended up a queen double. Finally, if you're looking for a great location, this is not the place....

Review 29:Staff was top-notch. Very attentive, responsive and friendly. Nothing but positive things to say about the staff.

Review 30:Large windows that offered no privacy. Outside access to rooms. Wasn't a comfortable place to stay. I recommend you bring your own pillows.

Review 31:Price was right. Right along highway when traveling through. Close to Wal-Mart and restaurants.

Review 32:No microwave for fridge available in my king, it was available when I stayed several nights before, and the direction of the rooms are very confusing, can barely see or find around building.

Review 33:The king sized bed was nice

Review 34:They advertise free WiFi but it does not get all the way to the rooms. You have to stay in the lobby in order too get a signal. The bathroom as dirty and I had to put a towel down in the tub in order to stand on something clean. While taking a shower the water didn't drain, so I had water up to my ankles while in the shower. The room was ok but you get what you pay for and I will not ever stay there again.

Review 35:It was cheap which explains it all

Review 36:Staff was not friendly, helpful or knowledgable, the WIFI is only available in the lobby, we found a bullet hole in our wall, the vending machines were broken, ice machine out of order, the washer and dryer had rust all over them, the parking lot lights half worked, some of the windows in the room were broken

Review 37:Lights in the walkway were out so I had to use my phone light to be able to see the room # and swipe card to get in room. Room and sheets clean and good. Caulk and paint in sink and tub. Hair stuck to walls of shower. Hot water ran brownish color for 10 minutes before I decided it might be ok to shower in.

Review 38:Bathtub was like riding a snowboard! Black Hair all over walls inshower. Tiles missing in floor! Microwave had burn marks on it. Theheater blew cold air all night and it was 34 outside. Cold draft comingin the door.

Review 39:I did not like that there was no iron, but we had an iron board. Ice machine signs where there was no ice machine, so I had to walk around to find it. Room smelled like cigarette smoke. A Hampton Inn clock displaying the wrong time, really? Front desk person was not very accommodating to customer in front of me over a cup. His room had no cups and she couldn't have been less helpful. Wi Fi signal was not strong in my room.

Review 40:The room seemed clean, but had a strange odor. The temperature control was either difficult to figure out or not working probably. The bathtub was slick and no rubber mat was provided.

Review 41:The location next to the interstate is great for a traveler need to stop for the night. The staff was friendly.

Review 42:Rate on booking.com

Review 43:The cost for three nights.the design of the building when the remodeling gets done.No hotel should be allowed to open if it's. under construction.period

Review 44:The room was very cold and the where the heater was located was very effective.

Review 45:Great value

Review 46:No safety lock. Abused bathtub. Seedy .

Review 47:Comfortable bed. Helpful staff.

Review 48:Needs better bathroom utilities, rust and somewhat dirty.

Review 49:Kind of hard to get to.

Review 50:Really friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Needs updated bathroom.

Review 51:everything

Review 52:Nothing

Review 53:everything. I didnt have a phone or a garbage can in the room.

Review 54:I stayed before and its close to the expressway

Review 55:Clooney to interstate.

Review 56:Air conditioning was not working in lobby, ants, Mosquitos, and spiders in the room. Walls and floors were very dirty, gross!

Review 57:Nothing I mean nothing

Review 58:No coffee pot, garbage cans, telephone or working alarm clock were in the room. But it was clean and bed comfy.

Review 59:It was clean

Review 60:Everything about the place.

Review 61:That i was near the highway.

Review 62:everything the property was filthy the firsty room we had was dirty it smelled really bad the second room was ok but very out dated

Review 63:Staff were nice

Review 64:Room was dirty

Review 65:Price..

Review 66:Dirty room

Review 67:Price

Review 68:Easy access to Memphis. Not crowded and great rooms for the rates.

Review 69:the facility was worn out, and needed much updating, and visual cleaning up..

Review 70:beds were comfortable, and clean

Review 71:The rooms weren't clean and there was an odor in my room.

Review 72:The area was accessible to many stores/restaurants and highway. Pleasant staff.

Review 73:You get what u pay for

Review 74:The price of the room was great!!!

Review 75:Not clean poorlooking

Review 76:Bed sleep good

Review 77:Not at all

Review 78:The rooms were great

Review 79:Ants, no clean towels, trash not emptied, No Cleaning service provided.

Review 80:Location

Review 81:Overall conditions

Review 82:Right off interstate

Review 83:The cost was good

Review 84:Dirty shower, bed, towels, and no amenities replenished in room. Not work the money

Review 85:The TV was raggedy, the volume knob was broke so once the AC kicked on you couldn't hear what you were watching, plus not all of the promised channels worked. The staff at the front desk was rude. The number displayed on the website and on the sign in fornt of the hotel is incorrect. The lobby closes at midnight so be sure to check -in before then. Me and my fiancé drove up late after work so that we would miss the morning traffic, we arrived at the hotel around 3 a.m. and had to sleep in the car. No one mentioned that you couldn't check-in after midnight, it wasn't on the website and since the number was incorrect we could not contact the hotel directly. We did find a 1800 number which lead to answering service, but the rep was in another state and didn't no ANY information so we left several messages before the trip trying to find out hotel info and never received a return phone call as promised. They didn't have free breakfast as mentioned in the description, only a 10% off discount for breakfast at Burger King or Shoney's. Over all, it was decent for the price, the rate was super cheap so I did not have any high expectations.

Review 86:The location was great, it was a central location, so it was really close to all of the activities we had planned for the weekend

Review 87:bath tub was real dirty looked like they had painted the inside of the tub and it was pealing off they never had towels when they came around had to get them later in the day didn't have enough towels on line it stated they had breakfast but they didn't no cable for 2 days

Review 88:the staff was very friendly

Review 89:The bathroom was terrible. The tub was actually dirty. The room was more than outdated. Mold was growing in the bathroom. The was coffeemaker in the room with no coffee pot. Not a good room to be available for customers.

Review 90:Picture on line was different , then in person. I though it would be better next year I will find something better was down for Memphis In May . Use staying at Ramada Inn. Are Holiday Inn right down rode . They were book up. Booked a little early this time

Review 91:It was OK didn't have innet.

Review 92:The room I had didnt have a refrigerator or microwave and half the channels didn't work on the television.

Review 93:The location, close to restaurants and shopping stores and the interstate.

Review 94:Room was old with peeling paper and horrible carpet. Pillows were ajoke, the towels were threadbare. Curtains did not close, airconditioner hardly worked. If this was a 2 star hotel what is a 1 star?Directions given by staff were wrong, sign still said Howard Johnsons.

Review 95:Parking right outside room.

Review 96:Being locked out! I'm a handicapped person, 89 years old, thatdrives a scooter to get around. I returned from to my room after it wascleaned only to wait on someone to open my door as the privacy latchwas locked.

Review 97:The price $59.95 a night

Review 98:The room did not have what it said it had on internet - very musty smell- keys didnt work - needed lock repaired at 11:00 pm - no tv remote -sign from interstate said "Howard Johnsons" - internet said wegot the 'last two rooms' however the parking lot was empty thewhole time we stayed there!

Review 99:I may recommend West Memphis to other travelers but definately not thismotel! Only 6 miles from Beale Street, Memphis, tn.

Review 100:We had to "check the room" before we were able to beprocessed. The room "looked" ok, but after we were in it, Inoticed a large amount of hair on the bathroom baseboard, and a peanutnear the edge of the bed (on the floor). They wouldn't let us checkin 15 min early because the room wasn't ready, but when we did checkin, it still looked like someone rushed through cleaning it. Nobreakfast, and couldn't leave the keys because the office was notopen when we left.

Review 101:Good location. Close to highway, Walmart and Applebees.

Review 102:The outside of the building toward the back appeared dilapitated. Wefound cock roaches there, never spent the night in a hotel with this. This hotel needs some major improvements inside and out.

Review 103:It was close to the downtown Memphis area, about a five minute drivewhich was great.

Review 104:It was hard to find at first because I was looking for "extend a suits." The name has been changed from "Howard Johnson" but the signs haven't been changed. There was one banner with the new name. Easy to over look

Review 105:Cheap, I stayed here because it was the only hotel with rooms available close to Memphis on the first weekend in may. I would stay here again if I was on a budget. But everything was out dated, it was like walking into the 90s.

Review 106:Old run down and rat traps were literally sitting on the sidewalk by therooms. This place is a crack motel. It is 60 years old or more and hasnot been remodeled. Not in the process either like sign said. Our tv waspurple and green picture. The towels were yellowed they were so old. Ifthere had been another option available we would have left. Don'tlet their picture fool you like we did.

Review 107:The housekeeper. Was helpful and nice but very over worked. Only 2housekeepers for 80 rooms. In an 8 hour day that's less than 7minutes per room. Not enough time to clean.

Review 108:How every time I stay there the name has changed. (ie Howard Johnson, Ramada) now Extenda Suite. As a result appearance has declined and breakfast terminated.

Review 109:ac wouldn't cool,wifi don't work

Review 110:The worst hotel I have ever been in. It stunk so bad we gad to buy air fresheners and candles

Review 111:Besides from the smell of cigarette smoke the room was clean very well.

Review 112:The lobby, staff and room was clean and in a good location.

Review 113:Room dirty. Cockroaches/waterbugs. Small bugs in sink. Shower dirty. Toilet seat broke. Old tv. Dirty furniture.

Review 114:Price.

Review 115:None

Review 116:carpet dirty, bathroom tub badly stained

Review 117:the location near interstate, large room.

Review 118:Unprofessional staff team.

Review 119:After several attempts, the staff did satisfy our needs.

Review 120:No phone in room. Requested king bed none available when I arrived.

Review 121:Room was nice and clean. Close to event with minimal travel time.
