Review 1：There is clearly two kinds of rooms, renovated ones like in photos posted and old ones. I got an old one. All fine but a bit old fashioned and not what I was expecting.

Review 17：Bathroom arrangements in the comfort room are a bit strange as the toilet and shower are separate from the sink so you use the toilet and have to go to the other one to wash your hands. Also the gliding doors are old and don't move without a lot of noise. We had no hot water one evening around 8 but towards 10 it was fixed.

Review 18：The hotel is just 2 minutes from the beach but not right in the noisy area. The rooms are really big, they serve an excellent breakfast and the pool and wellness area are free for use.

Review 76：lovely hotel and in a fantastic location. Even had a view of the sea from our room. Lovely spacious bedrooms, modern, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Very friendly staff, the owner's wife took the time to offer suggestions of things to do and was present during breakfast service. She told us about the history of the hotel, the area and her family which was very interesting.

Review 77：Very exemsive for the quality of the room, the bed was not comfortable and the pillow was very lumpy and the carpet was worn and threadbare in places. However the location of the hotel is great and the pool in the basement was really lovely.

Review 83：- Reception manned by the clone of Basil Fawlty. - Very unpleasant sewage odours on the 5th floor, in the vicinity of the elevators. Fortunately this was not noticeable in the room. - no air-conditioning and Room with a view on a construction site. Per se no problem for us since we were only there for 1 night, but I wouldn't want to stay a whole week in that room... It must be a hellhole when it is hot. - Price a bit stiff for the value offered. I know it is Ostende in full season, but still.... We pay the same price when we go skiing in Austria in a truly luxurious hotel which is palatial.... And while the Bero is correct, it is far from palatial (sorry).

Review 84：room was big. Plenty of space. Huge fold out bed :-) Bathroom OK but could do with some freshening up Breakfast correct. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, good location, not far from the digue, beach, etc...

Review 89：the tired nature of many aspects of the hotel - from the 1980s feel of the breakfast room, the hanging wires in the gym and on landings, the un-refurbished rooms were crying out to be finished with non stained carpets and arranged with toilets futher from beds. Also the lack of soap in the spa/pool area showers for over 24 hours with the toilet bin stuffed full of used nappies was remarkable.

Review 90：77 lengths in the cool, grotto like, swimming pool made a wonderful early daily morning exercise experience. One vital when one saw how delicious and extensive the breakfast provided was - marvellous cheeses, fruit, and salad. Sofie on reception was a stand out very friendly and helpful member of staff

Review 102：The pool area being renovated. Had several workmen around and their noise. But we got a quick swim. Note that the pool is not very shallow, toddlers need a parent to hold them. The new pool and spa look very nice, should be ready once you read this. Get your towels from the reception. This was not indicated. The Spa is only open in the evening. There is also a fun play room for small kids. Our family room was spacious. The wifi was free and fast. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice. We arrived late and liked the bar/brasserie next door (not part of the hotel) "Den Artiest" for a pint and some late dinner.

The picture on the website was not the same as what wereceived very disappointing and nowhere on the website does it mentionanything about a sleeper couch for a 4 star hotel this is unacceptablethat my two children ages 9 and 13 boy and girl had to sleep together itwas hard and very uncomfortable for them.The room and bathroom so small and when you took a shower it was a swimming pool on the floor when you were finished. The water just coming out the door not sealed right. From my bed about 2 arm lengths away was the toilet how unacceptable is this for a 4 star hotel. The fridge in the room was not working. Breakfast was not up to 4 star hotel standard coffee tasted terrible so did the hot chocolate etc. Before checking in you picked up a problem with both my credit cards which turned out to be no problem at all. I demand at least 50% refund on our stay at your hotel. If my demands are not met I am taking this matter further.

Review 110：This hotel is a little gem, it has been recently renovated and is trulywonderful, the rooms are lovely, spacious, what was really good thebathroom and toilet are separate which really works! The breakfast isyummy, well set out and fresh. The pool is fantastic, the sauna etc hasbeen completely redone and is spacious and spotless. We had drinks thethe captains bar and was asked if we wanted to take them into thewhiskey lounge, wowe that was gorgeous, of you are serious about yourwhiskey this is the place! The hotel was that good that we returned forour last night of our road trip around Belgium to the Swiss alps! Wellworth the return trip!
