Reviews for Hotel Côté Cour

Review 1:I was asked to pay before I saw the room. Small rooms, with NO soap (there ware only 2 sachet of sower gel and nothing else in the bathroom),No house shoes, NO , verry old towels (they were ripped from too much usage), very old furniture, the toilet was not clean, shower was not working properly, there was mold on the windows (old wood frames), there was no kind of sound insolation (you could hear people going up an down the stairs). For breakfast had nothing warm (except a couple of sausages ), coffee was not even close to coffee. It was not even close to 3 stars.

Review 2:Lots of things: the room was still in renovation!(as well as the building, had a terrasse, that I discovered I shared with someone! Had to keep curtains closed) Breakfast is a real joke (no fresh bread, fruits from cans, suspicious eggs,...)

Review 3:The location

Review 4:£90 equivalent I expected a little more ....it was v warm ..no air conditioning & the window was left open in the day . Consequently I was severely bitten by mosquitoes which I didn't,t expect In Belgium ! The owners brusquely asked me for payment up front upon arrival !! Other guests also were asked . I politely refused & the owner turned, walked away , muttering " oh well ,I have you credit details " Not quite sure they understand the procedures?

Review 5:The location was excellent. The good restaurants, bars, spa scenery ,& company ..made up for a very average hotel.

Review 6:We liked the location, staff, food. The only thing I felt was when I did the booking it said four star and I expected a higher end hotel. All turned out great don't get me wrong but it was the impression that I got when I booked that led to a small disappointment. So it was nothing to do with the hotel itself. Thank you.

Review 7:Nothing of note.

Review 8:Clean, tidy hotel. Nice, though basic, rooms. Friendly, informal atmosphere. Good breakfast. Excellent location in town centre.

Review 9:I booked a room for 3 persons (my family) with room size 50 square meters but I was allocated with a room just half the size. I checked in very late and when I went to make the complaint, there was no body at the reception. Next morning I wanted to explain them but the lady said we can leave the tax and charged me € 140.00. As I was in a hurry, I did not argue much as she did not understand English or German properly. I would like to have my refund based on the room size. My room number was 1 on the ground floor. Could you help me? Hope to hearing from you soon. Regards

Review 10:The location was good

Review 11:The staff could barely speak English. Food served during breakfast was mediocre.

Review 12:When we arrived, we discovered that the room was not available. We were asked to come back later on. We did - there was no room available. Instead, the lady working at the hotel organized for us a lovely apartment in the center of the Durbuy (above la Canette), which had a much higher standard than the rooms. All in all, we were extremely happy.

Review 13:The dinner plates were not well dressed. This was a pity since the quality of the meal was good.

Review 14:The room (superior) was clean and comfortable including the bath facilities

Review 15:Not finished yet.

Review 16:Brandnew rooms

Review 17:Ligging,inchecken en uit.

Review 18:Durbuy is a great town to visit

Review 19:The room smelled bad.

Review 20:Very good location

Review 21:It is too expensive for the facilities provided.

Review 22:It is a good location and the breakfast is reasonably good.

Review 23:I like the way the hotel is decorated. And also the big rooms and bathrooms

Review 24:We arrived at 17:00 and our room was not read;room was not clean, balcony very dirty; staff was stressed and not friendly; we have booked half pension and we had to wait more than 45 minutes for starters; public parking is very expensive or you have to keep the car outside city and use shuttle bus. We would not stay again in this hotel.

Review 25:calm; good breakfast; lockable room for our bicycles

Review 26:The bathroom is terrible, it is impossible to shower without wetting the whole bathroom. The parking place is public and with limited short time.

Review 27:Well situated hotel.

Review 28:Waited too long at the reception for somebody to come to check us in. Some dust on the lamps inside the room.

Review 29:Very good restaurant Decent room & well heated

Review 30:Parking a bit away at a low cost, but not really a problem.

Review 31:Very nice room and beautiful restaurant with excellent food. Well situated hotel by the market place.

Review 32:The staff was friendly and helpful. The main reason why I would come back to this hotel is because they welcomed my little dog aswell. That is very important to me

Review 33:Door of the room did not open properly, it was too low on the floor. I had to force it open with terrible sound every time. Bathroom sewer was smellin terrible, if you left bathroom open when you left, the stink was terrible when you came back. You had to keep terrace door open most of the time. Which came handy because heating was stuck on maximum. It was warm weekend and room was like sauna...

Review 34:Location, just at the center.

Review 35:The shower handle/bath tub handle should be repaired, it was a little dangerous because it wasn't secured properly.

Review 36:The owner was very personal, he didn't rush us. The hotel is right in the centre.Very comfortable stay, lovely breakfast!

Review 37:It was crap, and I say this without reservation. The town is small and beautiful, but it is packed with tourists and this particular hotel was full of staff that were too busy pointing their noses at the ceiling to notice the mound of their own crap they were standing on. Most people in Belgium whether Flemish or Wallonian are quite friendly. The staff in this hotel were quite the opposite, however, and if you could not speak French well you might as well be a piece of trash in the street. Dont waste your time in Durbuy, instead go somewhere with less tourists and less fed-up staff that will treat you as though you are a fellow human.

Review 38:Te town is beautiful, and has some great photo ops.

Review 39:The bedroom is from poor quality, the toilet was very noicy, old building. Breakfast really simple.

Review 40:not so warm welcome little or no information at arrival or when asked specific questions very basic accomodation

Review 41:good location not too expensive

Review 42:Nothing

Review 43:Good hotel at the centre of the village.

Review 44:Seemed expensive for the quality of the hotel (or at least the room we stayed in).

Review 45:The hotel staff was very friendly.
