Reviews for The Hacienda & Spa

Review 1:from the moment we checked in, until checking out, everyone was extremely helpful and courteous! our room was great, our "butler" lobo was attentive and informative. thomas the driver gave us tips to make our trip even more enjoyable. i would give the hotel a 10 ++++

Review 2:Wait staff at the restaurant was hit and miss. Some folks were exceedingly courteous and nice while others were not.

Review 3:Beautiful facility! Close to the plaza. A great place to stay and enjoy Santa Fe.

Review 4:Staff need a little bit more effort, barman was very our and kept us waiting on more than one occasion. The first smile and hello was from a cleaner, with her cart, cleaning a room

Review 5:Location

Review 6:The room in the Spa portion of the hotel was OK - nothing great. What I paid for the room I expected so much more. The room would get pretty warm during the evening hours; the pull out sofa was very, very uncomfortable; the king bed was ok. The restaurant in the main hotel was good, but would have been nice if there was more of a selection and different types of soup each day.

Review 7:Beautiful hotel, very central to where we went. Breakfast in the Spa area of the hotel was delicious. Loved the hot tub after a long day of walking.

Review 8:Great hotel, just different in a good way to the usual global hotels style Fabulous decor from local artists covers the walls. Has a great feel. The option of free breakfast sitting up on a balcony overlooking city was enchanting. also the complimentary wine an cheese in the same location prior to starting the evening is a lovely touch. Staff very helpful. Pool area very nicely set out.

Review 9:We needed to change rooms after our first night there. Our original room was located directly across the street from a bar that was open until 1:30 in the morning and the loud music kept us up. The staff was very understanding and moved us into another room the next day. Also the wifi was sporadic depending on where we were on the property.

Review 10:Great service. Nice amenities. Great food.

Review 11:Vacuuming between 8 and 9 am in hallway. We were vacationing so sleeping late.

Review 12:We are repeat guests and loved everything. The restaurant was low key and eager to please even with food not on evening menu. Butlers, housekeepers, chauffeur (Thomas) very friendly and accommodating.

Review 13:The staff was quite literally a life saver. When my friend became ill during the night, they arranged for an ambulance. After the all clear from the doctors, Mike, our shuttle driver, returned us to the Hacienda, and even drove my friend to a pharmacy to fill her prescription. We were always in extremely safe hands. I'll always return to the Hacienda anytime Santa Fe is the destination.

Review 14:Absolutely nothing!

Review 15:Every aspect of our stay was positive and memorable. The Hacienda side is well maintained, teeming with artwork on the hallway floors and the rooms are spacious. Housekeeping is "on point" and the butler service made our stay unforgettable. Special mention to butlers Jess, Robert and Pete. Their hospitality, local knowledge, flexible communication styles and warmth resonated with all guests ensuring an exceptional experience!

Review 16:absolutely nothing!

Review 17:facility cleanliness ambiance quiet, comfortable room free breakfast and happy hour excellent spa aminities helpful staff shuttle

Review 18:only one comfortable chair in large room, can only watch tv if in bed

Review 19:breakfast, decor of room and whole hotel, quality sheets and towels, spacious room, fireplace

Review 20:I would slightly lessen the flute music, but still keep the gentle atmosphere.

Review 21:5 nights, our first stay: the staff from desk to shuttle to room service were responsive, thoughtful and polite/ even during the Indian Market, the shuttle worked like clock work/ room was spacious, attractive and well maintained/ restaurant good/ lounge with live music one night/ very comfortable/ concierge top notch--led us thru the maze of when to be where for good food, sunsets, entertainment. Beautiful art collection a real bonus. Loved our stay! Highly recommend this hotel.

Review 22:It would have been nice to be closer to the downtown square. There is a shuttle, but we were not there long enough to take advantage.

Review 23:We liked everything. The room was huge and well decorated. Breakfast buffet was very good. Room Service food was very good.

Review 24:Difficult to find front entrance with GPS directions at night, the address is at the back of the hotel, which has two addresses. One is for the hotel Santa Fe, the other is for. Hacienda and Spa Santa Fe, although both use the main hotel front desk.

Review 25:Staff Room furnishings Butler Pete Location, a few blocks from downtown Great bed and bedding Kiva (fireplace) Bike path close by

Review 26:The rooms were very nice. Service was excellent. Everyone was very nice. The breakfast was served buffet style but there were tables that you could eat at on an outside patio with a view of the mountains. Enjoyed our stay would definitely stay there again.

Review 51:No where to get a Dr. Pepper or candy bar

Review 52:Everything

Review 53:Food is ok.

Review 54:The 1 mile free taxi is fabulous. Lounge areas are lovely- spa is great! Location can't be beat!

Review 55:This hotel is like home away from home.

Review 56:The spa front desk seemed confused frustrated and nervous.Felt uncomfortable while waiting for receptionist to set up appointment.

Review 57:Staff @ Hotel was energetic, happy and very knowledgeable

Review 58:$19 resort fee with no accompanying resort amenity. Double taxes. Result of double taxes and resort fee added $100 per nite.

Review 59:Nice facility and enjoyed the butler service as well as the hospitality room that comes with the Hacienda.

Review 60:There was very little that we didn't like, however, there were a couple of maintenance issues in our room that needed to be addressed. I mentioned them to the desk clerk upon departure.

Review 61:This was our second stay at the Hacienda, and it has become our first choice for accommodations in Santa Fe. The fruit assortment and chocolates provided upon arrival and the friendliness of the staff make one feel welcome and at home in this hotel. We also enjoy the continental breakfast available in the comfort of the lounge each morning.

Review 62:A/C didn't turn on immediately. But we were able to open windows for fresh cool air.

Review 63:Friendly staff & very informative, great location, quite and relaxing.

Review 64:Fireplace suite very nice, spacious and comfortable. Butler and maid service excellent. Breakfast and happy hour nice touches. One really helpful, and unexpected, bonus was the free shuttle service at night....takes you to any restaurant/bar in the area at no charge except tip....allowed you to not worry about finding parking, which could be a hassle.

Review 65:We stayed in a king fireplace suite. It was extremely roomy, including the bathroom. There were many thoughtful additions that are missing from more expensive hotels, such as a nightlight in the bathroom, a full-length mirror, and plenty of power outlets. There was a fruit basket waiting for us, an evening happy hour was included and free wi-fi. There is a free shuttle service that will take you to the historic center - which is only a fifteen minute walk. So we walked over for dinner, were both able to have wine, and then called the shuttle to pick us up. the hotel also has some lovely Native American art. Very cool. Great value

Review 66:Nothing! all was good!!!!

Review 67:The hospitality was awesome the butler service was phenomenal Lubo was his name and then there was Robert upstairs in the hospitality room was 5 star employee*****

Review 68:The staff was friendly and helpful. The shuttle to the plaza was very convenient as parking is difficult to find in that area. We loved the fireplace in the room.

Review 69:All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We are planning another trip to Santa Fe and definitely plan on staying at The Hacienda & Spa while we are in town.

Review 70:see above

Review 71:Everything great...staff, shuttle, amenities....except...the hide a bed in room 505 needs a new mattress! Very thin mattress which "caved" in the middle.

Review 72:difficult to regulate the room temperature, always to hot even with the fireplace turned off

Review 73:very nice room, clean with comfortable bed. Great morning breakfast room. Excellent staff and service.

Review 74:Need bathroom by Exercise Room.

Review 75:I loved the experience. The hospitality was outstanding. The gathering terrace room with the most comfy SW leather and kiva fireplace with ponderosa pine burning was perfect for cocktail hour and breakfast. I was happy to have an exercise room and all the spa amenities. The welcome basket of fruit was such a standing touch of class. Want to go back!!!!

Review 76:The Staff was wonderful! They went out of their way to help and make our trip wonderful! The shuttle service was great! It was NOT a problem at all being a couple of blocks from The Plaza and main shopping areas!

Review 77:We could not stay longer due to personal commitments.

Review 78:The Hacienda & Spa has incredible suites! The spa, with it'shighly trained staff, is conveniently located next to the entrance tothe Hacienda. The butler service was superb! The hotel restaurant wasexcellent!

Review 79:Our shuttle driver was a bit rude.

Review 80:The place in general is very nicely designed, which is what Santa Fe is about. Some very nice sculpture/art for decor. The complimentary wine in the early evening, the breakfast was good. The staff at the upstairs bar/breakfast room was very friendly, also at the restaurant, and at the reception in the Hacienda building. The staff at the main reception area were courteous.

Review 81:We stayed for eleven days our room 428 we liked to sleep without A/C by open window but this was impossible due to nouise from Railway.Twice we found dirty glasses on the fruit juice table.Used dishes could have been cleaned up smarter at breakfast it was not at Roberts shift. The Pool should be cleaned from 6 to 8 am before guest arrive. We own and operate a Hotel in the Pacific and know how hard it sometimes is.

Review 82:Food was O.K. Taxi service to placa great Robert excellent butler at the Hacienda most helpful gave us good advise.

Review 83:The Hotel was wonderful! Room- exquisite decoration & design; Food- fresh, plenty of breakfast, tasty lunch & delicious dinner; Spa-absolute best massages & products; Staff- friendly & informative; Location- close proximity to everything. The hotel was all we had hoped & more. We thank you all.

Review 84:We had to pay close to $50 extra above the published room rate for hotelfees, taxes, and a special 15 per night special rate. Our room wasadvertised at 230 and we paid 280 per night. It was shock at the end. Wedidn't mind the special 15 rate which goes for good causes I justthink with that and the other 35 per night in taxes and fees it'snot clear up front.

Review 85:The location was perrfect. The room which was a suite was large, veryclean and decorated well. The bed was comfortable the staff werefriendly. We liked that this hotel was owned by Native Americans aswell. This was a wonderful hotel.

Review 86:Meals & bar drinks are expensive (we didn't arrive in time for happy hour). If you arrive after dark, finding the registration lobby is a rather byzantine experience...

Review 87:Staff is outstanding, especially the front desk, rooms are very comfortable, very pet friendly, our Shih Tzu loved it...

Review 88:Did not fully understand why one portion of the facility is called Hotel Santa Fe and the other is called The Hacienda & Spa -- seems like it would be more appropriate to call it one name as it is a bit confusing. The pool was not very clean.

Review 89:Shuttle service was great. Rooms were nice and were clean.

Review 90:Rooms were a little dark. Construction underway. Even so, a wonderful hotel I'd highly recommend.

Review 91:Nice rooms, friendly helpful staff, complimentary breakfast, NYTimes at the door, butler and turn down service, and a free shuttle service to anywhere in downtown area.

Review 92:I learned that someone was spending $80/night at the Santa Fe Hotelwhen I was spending $248/night at the Hacienda. I don't thinkthat the price difference was warranted. There was construction going onwhile I was staying at The Hacienda. I complained about the noise andthe front-desk manager graciously comped on of the four nights I wasstaying here.

Review 93:The Hacienda Spa/Santa Fe Hotel is in a very good location. Thereare restaurants, shopping, galleries, historic sites and the Plazawithin easy walking distance. The rooms were clean and the staff wasvery responsive and friendly.

Review 94:Lack of consistent service for a luxury experience; e.g., hacienda room provided newspaper and fruit one day, not the next, etc. no view in room, construction noise, old small tv.

Review 95:Quiet hotel in general, comfortable beds, very nice tile bath, friendly staff, lovely breakfast area rooftop, quick efficient butler service.

Review 96:The Amaya Restaurant was below par - Menu selection was limited, and thefood was not great quality, nor was the small wine selection. The Hotelonly has this one Restaurant - but there is good to great dining nearby.

Review 97:Friendly, courteous and helpful Staff. Comfort and tranquility. Largebook listing all main Restaurants in Santa Fe, complete with Menus. Thebest Hotel Shuttle Service we have experience anywhere, which took us toour destination (within one mile radius of Plaza) and collected uspromptly where we asked - this was superb.

Review 98:Didn't know it was quite so far from Downtown, but in the end didn't mind the walk or the drive. Was a little disappointed with the breakfast in the Hacienda, Not that it wasn't good, just the same every day (we stayed 6 days) and even on Christmas morning nothing different or special.

Review 99:We liked our room, we stayed in a suite in the Hacienda part of Hotel Santa Fe. The staff cleaning the room was very good and friendly. The little shuttle service was nice and we used it once. Loved all the art in the hotel. Liked the little store and the sales lady there was very helpful and friendly.

Review 100:HOSPITALITY, STAFF

Review 102:Hotel service excellent. Rooms well appointed and liked the evening bed turn down.

Review 103:Room heat hard to regulate, kept getting to hot
