Reviews for Red Roof Inn Waco
Review 1:Staff and attention to issues was very poor. We had no towels or coffee after they had cleaned the room. After asking they brought towels but no coffee. Then the toilet broke and we had to call 3 times to have someone look at it.
Review 2:We traveled for the BAYLOR football game. The walking distance to the stadium was great!
Review 3:We reserved a room online. When We Got There We Were Told They Were Sold out. They had to call someone to find us a room. Not to impressed. Was tired and it was late. Will not Stay there again.
Review 4:Bed was comfortable
Review 5:One staff member/owner(Lady from India not real friendly)》》rest of staff very friendly & accommodating. ..
Review 6:Good location close to Baylor Stadium/University >>downtown area w/good variety of restaurants/shops/etc.>pet friendly /etc
Review 7:The only things I didn't like was hearing the freeway and if you're downstairs and there's someone above you it can get quite loud. Other than that, good quality for the price for a one or two night stay.
Review 8:It was clean, we were only staying for one night and it was just over a mile from the VA regional office which we needed to go to the next morning. For the price and how close we were to our destination it was very convenient.
Review 9:The room was just okay. The main electrical outlet in the room did not work and I had to unplug the clock and lamp next to the bed to charge my phone and tablet. The remote did not go to the television set so I had to manually change channels and control the volume. The room was very dark because of the burned out socket. The refrigerator was clean at the bottom but the freezer was portion was covered in pink frozen ooze that had mold on it. No restaurants in walking distance, but there are an abundance a mile or so away since its by the Baylor University campus.
Review 10:The manager was extremely nice he let me check in at 8am instead of waiting until 2am, which was a major bonus after working a 12 hr shift and driving for 2 hrs to get there. The breakfast was decent; lots of frozen items to heat up in the microwave. Fridge and microwave in room. The Wi-fi signal was strong and I was able to stream movies on my tablet with no problem.Walking distance to Baylor stadium.
Review 11:There wasn't anything bad to say about my stay will definitely stay again and likely to recommend a plus.
Review 12:Front desk staff was friendly easy check in and nice and comfortable bed !
Review 13:Continental breakfast was quite Spartan but for what the room cost, you can hardly expect a large spread.
Review 14:The room was clean, comfortable, nice sized, had microwave and a nice sized refrigerator. There was a large flat screen TV and they had access to a bunch of stations. Always had plenty of hot water. Great access to downtown and the interstate. Would definitely stay again.
Review 15:Had a little problem with my door locking. It scared me a little. Other than that, it was great
Review 16:It was easy on and off of I-35. Parking was good. The staff was very courteous. I showed up early and they got right on cleaning my room for me. Great location to various attractions. I would stay here again.
Review 17:What I didn't like,.... was that my little dog wasn't able to make this trip with us, due to his recent death. He use to go with us to Red Roof Inn, due to them being pet friendly.
Review 18:The price was very reasonable. We had an early issue with the TV, and the staff took care of it promptly.
Review 19:It is a personal preference, but I like a firmer matters when I sleep at night. I still slept very well, though.
Review 20:Attentive and courteous staff. Our room was very good and clean. This place is a very good value for the money.
Review 21:I didn't in fact stay there because the room was shabby and poorly maintained and the hotel did not seem safe.
Review 22:It seemed convenient for the university.
Review 23:Bathrooms cramped and not user friendly. Toilet paper roller missing. Not enough towels. Somewhat pricey for what it was.
Review 24:Was clean. Beds were comfortable. A/C worked very well.
Review 25:King size Bed was like a bowl, sunk down in the middle. and needs to be replaced.
Review 26:Price, didn't expect much. Checked in late and left early so it was okay.
Review 27:There were water stains on the ceiling, a hole in the wall.
Review 28:Great location and very friendly staff. Breakfast was great, beds were very comfortable and very affordable.
Review 29:The 5th star would have been given if the AC didn't leak all over the floor....but I'm not too picky so I would go again.
Review 30:I give redroof a 4 out of 5.....one of the best stays 9ve had for the money.
Review 31:The "breakfast" was lacking a little.
Review 32:Great location, nice and cool when we walked in! Ronnie at the front desk is super helpful and full of local knowledge!
Review 33:Staff was attentive to our requests. We were there to get daughter set up in an apartment to commence studies at Baylor Univ, and the proximity to same is excellent. We had the 'Suite' with sofa bed.
Review 34:Shower had little pressure. Breakfast room too small.
Review 35:Easy access to convention center, Baylor University, and downtown Waco.Great parking right outside our room. Very functional and clean room.Few frills but excellent value for cost. Coffee maker, fridge, andmicrowave in room.
Review 36:The wi-fi did not work so well. The pillows were not very comfortable, and there were no extras.
Review 37:Lots of parking; close to Baylor; breakfast in the morning.
Review 38:They didnt have a swimming pool.
Review 39:I loved the entire stay. I loved the beds. They were very comfortable. Excellent staff. Over all very nice stay. Very close to things.
Review 40:Our "non-smoking" room smelled overwhelmingly of smoke and there were cigarette burns in our comforter. Several other guests were actually frightening to me and my daughter.
Review 41:Close to Baylor, easy to get in And out of
Review 42:The room smelled musky and stale. Toilet seat not tightened down. Very small bathroom, could barely turn around. Bed too soft.
Review 43:Great location. Close to Baylor. Easy access to I35.
Review 44:Room that i booked was not available and had to be moved to a different room that was very stuffy/humid and didn't have a working light in the bathroom. Would not recommend.
Review 45:Ants and bugs in bathroom, Cobb webs on ceiling. Bath fixtures were very dirty. Bath tub was stained.
Review 46:The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable
Review 47:Extremely poor WiFi connection! In fact the connection was pretty much non existant. We ultimately had to use our cellular carrier to connect. In this day and age, WiFi is a must and should not be a "privilege" or an extra.
Review 48:Very friendly and helpful staff.
Review 49:The free wifi was horrible. We had to go on the balcony to get it to run on our phones and tablets. That is something that would prevent me from staying there again.
Review 50:The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great and the location was exactly where we wanted it to be.
Review 51:The first room had roaches on the bed. Second room that was given to me when I brought it up to the front desk was clean and looked great however when I came back to the room the cleaning staff had left my door open. Luckily I took all my valuables with me or they could of possibly been stolen.
Review 52:Location was awesome literally across the street from the Baylor football stadium.
Review 53:The room was filthy with carpet that had been torn up and smelled disgusting. I sat on the bedspread and instantly got a severe rash on both my legs. Staff was unhelpful. Absolutely every other hotel in town was booked or I would have left. Mattress was uncomfortable.
Review 54:Location was a bit sketchy but nothing happened. Wanted to stay a third night and they said it would be more than double what is was for 2 nights.
Review 55:Basically everything was good.
Review 56:My sink was dirty and had hair in it My WiFi was slow and unavailable mostly. My TV did not work. I was in the lobby and the staff member didn't even greet me.
Review 57:The location due to my work.
Review 58:someone tried very hard with the room decoration, but just didn't get it quite right. Toilet and tub area are awful.
Review 59:Location is excellent, a walk to Baylor / McLane Stadium.
Review 60:The TV would not change channels, they supposedly sent someone too fix it but it was still the same. Also when I first got there, a small roach came out of the drawers.
Review 61:What I did like was that the personnel were friendly and would help you if you needed something.
Review 62:Housekeeping failed to clean room even after reporting the filth. Should have at least one housekeeper on staff at ALL that is able to communicate fluently in ENGLISH.
Review 63:The young man & young lady the front desk were both very courteous and helpful.
Review 64:first room have dirty water in tub, dirty towels and dirty bedding, gave me another room it also was dirty, bath towels and bedding not clean have to find another place to stay
Review 65:Wifi would log on but was very weak TV was doing weird things and would lose reception around every 3-5 minuets. Parking lot concert was uneven causing my wife to fall and scuff herself up.
Review 66:Good location for us. clean. friendly folks
Review 67:At about 9am, McLaine Stadium decided to test their equipment. Way too loud for there not to be a game that day.....
Review 68:I liked the easy access to the highway.
Review 69:The toilet leaked onto the floor. We informed management of this leak once we discovered the leak. It is directly adjacent to Interstate 35. However, at night the noise is similar to white noise. We were ok with it. During the day the noise is higher and bothersome.
Review 70:Nice staff. And while we were in Waco, the location to all the areas we needed to visit, was central for all that.
Review 71:I'm not sure if I got charged for one or two nights. I had entered Friday and Booking.com put me down for Thursday. I'm not sure how much I got charged for.
Review 72:Nothing
Review 73:Arrived 2am after 8 hour drive after full day packing and loading to relocate. Warmly greeted. Accommodations superb. Breakfast delicious. Have stayed at other RRi and this was by far the best!
Review 74:We had no HBO. The problem was supposed to be fixed by the manager, but was not. Lots of noise.
Review 75:Convenient location. Easy on and off the interstate.
Review 76:The check-in time on reservations said 1PM, but we were told when we arrived that it was at 2PM. Luckily, we were just dropping off our car to walk to the College Gameday setup (which the hotel was gracious enough to do even though we were not checked in yet) and we had only just travelled around 2 hours. I could see this being more of a problem, if a traveler had been travelling for several hours and just wanted to relax. When we showed up at 2PM, the room had not been cleaned, yet. Granted the hotel was full, but it is still worth being addressed. The room was promptly cleaned after we checked in and the housekeeper did a wonderful job.
Review 77:This is the best economy hotel my wife an I have stayed in. It had everything we needed for a one-day trip. I can't think of a better lodging choice for a Baylor football game. It only took us about 10-15 minutes to walk from motel door to stadium gate. Before booking Red Roof Inn, I looked at the reviews and saw some constructive criticism, but none of it seemed enough to overcome the convenience of walking back and forth to the stadium, on a day where we would be going back and forth to the stadium (Gameday in the morning, KSU game at night). It seemed as though all criticism had been fixed, at least in our room (Air ran all night, room was clean, doors locked fine, sun was not that bright, and road noise is to be expected when you are feet within a major interstate). As long as there is a vacancy and the price remains reasonable, my wife and I will be staying here for all overnight stays for Baylor football games in the future.
Review 78:Weekend price gouging. $200+ on a Saturday night the Bears were playing and $55 per night through the week.. Really?? Carpet really worn and a hole in the bathtub. We won't stay here again
Review 79:Access to highway. Free breakfast, but few options compared to many places we've stayed.
Review 80:I paid $30.50 on a gift card and the balance on my Discover card. He then charged the full amount on my Discover card and then told me that he couldn't refund my $30.50 without the manager. Promised to follow-up and call me. Two days later I have had no response.
Review 81:Location. Walking distance to Baylor's stadium
Review 82:Check in is late. I needed to be in meetings from 1:00pm till 3:00pm and needed to empty my carve for the meeting. I ask for the Red Roof app for membership, the clerk didn't know where they where.
Review 83:The coffee pot was empty about 30 -45 minutes before the end of breakfast time. The staff did not make any effort to accommodate the clients. The "burritos" were limited in supply.
Review 84:There was a guy smoking crack and everynight he was asking for money. I felt insecure.
Review 85:Location, service, Ronny, Pete and Steven are very nice. Everything was great.
Review 86:A non-smoking room smelled like smoke. The wi-fi did not work. After we moved rooms, the hotel rented our room to someone else and they entered our room at 11:30. Tere was no way to secure the door. This made for a very uncomfortable night. I would never stay here again.
Review 87:But... No one listened to questions or requests. Our wake up call did not happen and we were late to our destination. Had to ask about breakfast and got no answer and then everything was starch and gluten! What a waste!
Review 88:Everything seemed great on the surface. Polite and somewhat efficient.
Review 89:Wi-Fi connection was spotty and a major aggravation for using to communicate with loved ones out of state and pinpointing each place we wanted to visit using Google maps.
Review 90:Our stay at The Red Roof Inn was pleasant. The location of the Inn was within minutes of all the attractions we wanted to see. Five minutes in any direction got us to museums, parks and the Brazos River! We will be back some day.
Review 91:The AC fan wouldn't stay on, so road noise was heard through the night. There was only one towel set in the bathroom and the bathtub stopper did not work. The TV remote (service) didn't have a guide to display for current viewing.
Review 92:The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The AC worked well.
Review 93:Room keys didn't work. Staff always had to help me into the room. "Non-smoking room was smokey." I was to e the wrong room assignment, so after carrying my heavy bag up a flight of stairs, a man answered the door.
Review 94:Friendly staff.
Review 95:Related to what it is meant for (a night stop on the road), nothing negative to forward.
Review 96:Just next to I35 central of Waco, this is exactly what I'm waiting from a motel : very clean, very comfortable, well equipped. Despite a little higher price than average motels ($65), it is definitely worth spending 15 buck more or so.
Review 97:After driving 7 hours, I was ready for my room. But when I went to check in at 12:30, i was told my room wasn't ready and it wouldn't be until 2:00!!!
Review 98:Nothing~
Review 99:Continental breakfast not good. Desk clerk not friendly or willing to help. Summer and NO Swimming Pool, got to be kidding.
Review 100:Nice beds, close to where I was doing business matter
Review 101:Had strong cigarette odor. Only one styrofoam cup with coffee pot. Exposed carpet tack strip between carpet and tile. Breakfast was either cereal or a muffin. No fruit, no bagels or yogurt.
Review 102:Great tv and cable.
Review 103:Bedding was not replaced during daily maid service, just straightened. Small used towels and rags weren't replaced, re - folded and put back. Maid service should replace all bedding and towels with clean ones daily regardless if customers stay 1 night or a week. Unsanitary not to.
Review 104:Like that they have a mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer, iorn and board. Couldn't hear the kids in the next room.
Review 105:Carpet and bedspread were soiled. Breakfast was not what I expected. Parking lot too small. Toiletries and coffee not replaced when room was cleaned.
Review 106:Tv was great. Bed was comfortable.
Review 107:We got bit up by bed bugs, and my son is only 4of age,he broke out,had allergic reaction to the bites. I did call the hotel ask for owner,no responses, its been almost week. I advised nobody to stay their.
Review 108:I had to drive around in circles and do a u turn because of construction. It was a frustrating puzzle. And no swimming pool, which I thought was there.
Review 109:the room was very nice. Decent breakfast, but could have had fresh fruit.
Review 110:Loud neighbors next door.
Review 111:Close to attractions.
Review 112:Close to highway, so road noise is a little high. Being a city guy, it didn't bother me too much.
Review 113:Great value. Clean, comfortable room.
Review 114:The bed was not comfortable at all
Review 115:Clean room and great customer service.
Review 116:Very courteous staff
Review 117:Didn't have washateria
Review 118:Very attentive staff, clean, comfortable, easy access to downtown & Baylor University
Review 119:Breakfast room a bit cramped, only 4 tables
Review 120:Location was good, rooms clean and quiet even though close to freeway.
Review 121:Staff was exceptional
Review 122:RATE INCREASE ON WEEKEND
Review 123:VERY ATTENTIVE STAFF, VERY CLEAN
Review 124:Location and staff.
Review 125:Ron, the clerk behind the front desk was very helpful and professional and friendly. Great asset to your company/hotel.
Review 126:Despite its proximity to the interstate it was pretty quiet
Review 127:Nothing bad, nice place.
Review 128:Good location
Review 129:pillows were too hard
Review 130:Roaches throughout the room, ceiling over bed, bathroom toilet, in shower...etc.
Review 131:beds were loft, and location
