The front desk staff didn't provide my bank with the security code. As a result, the front desk personnel called me, stating I needed to call my bank and get "back to her ASAP" and that she would "hold the room for a bit" ummm excuse me?

Review 10：My husband and I stayed here on our way from Big Sur to the SFO airport and arrived very late and tired due to heavy, stand still traffic on the PCH. We were welcomed by a very kind lady at the front desk who swiftly checked us in and made us feel welcome, something that unfortunately is not the case at all hotels. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Basic yet solid facilities as expected from a Motel 6 (which we like!)

Review 14：I made my reservation almost 3 months in advance, and being that i was not just dropping in and hoping you had vacancy i feel that the roomt hat i signed up for should have been held for me. I signed up for a regular sized room with a Queen sized bed. I was given a small room a double sized bed, with a shower instead of a bathroom, AND i was not warned when i checked in. When i went back to the desk to see what happened, the lady said, "Oh, she didnt warn you it was a handicapped room at check in?" NOPE! I asked if i could be switched ot a room with the bed size i signed up for since i have 2 adults (myself and my husband) who have to fit in that tiny bed and she said that they were booked for the weekend but she would leave a note for the manager in the morning. She NEVER apologized, she didnt even say "goodbye" or "have a nice night", nothing. EXTREMELY rude! The next morning the manager called our room. He said againt hat they were booked until monday and asked if i'd like to change rooms then, i said i was checking out Monday too (feeling like he should have known that). He said, "i hope that's ok that you have to stay in that room." I said, "Well, i dont really have a choice." To which he responded, "You could go to another motel." I said, "don't you think that is much more inconvienent than just switching rooms?" He said, "we would fully refund you." I said, "still SUPER inconvientent." Once again, HE NEVER APOLOGIZED, NEVER! After talking to my husband we decided to stay, as i was the maid of honor for a wedding and did not have time to go hope that i could find another motel. Everytime we used the shower, the bathroom flooded. We had to use allt he towels but one to soak up most of the water so that we could go in, in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and not walk in a puddle. I was still wet 10 hours later!
Review 15：At 10:00 PM a drunk man and women screamed at each other outside, pounded on doors, slammed doors... this went on for over an hour. The motel staff let this go on and on without stopping it. Then someone puked at the bottom of the stairs where you had to walk around it.

I quickly went down to see if it could be changed and they informed me that they were completely booked. After going back up the smell got worse and worse, until with our allergies we could no longer bear it. We asked for a refund and they said since the bathroom was used we could not get a refund. Go somewhere else, the rooms are substandard and the staff is too. I've stayed in over 100 hotels traveling Europe and the US and this is by far the overall worst one I've ever stayed in.

Convertor had cigarette burn holes. Bathroom floor looked gross and it was noisy all night. The bed was very uncomfortable and small. I later learned they only have 5 queen sized beds and you have to request that kind of room. We were happy to leave in the morning.

Staff could not giverecommendations on anything in the area.The dog that barked constantly during the day hours was a pleasure by comparison to the other "travelers" who were staying in the other neighboring rooms. For the amount that was paid a much nicer room could have been booked in an area closer to the beach, very disappointed.

Review 94：it was very noisy insidea nd outside of the hotel room. there were no shampoos nor conditioners and there was also no alarm clock. had to wait almost 2 hours to check in and was asked to go to the bank and pay "cash only" because the computers were down on Thursday, August 22, even though we had reserved the room months in advance and our credit card information was on file.

Review 97：The hotel is not in the best location as far as a hotel in a beach town. But, it's a short drive to several beaches (could even walk if you don't have youngin's), the wharf, Cannery Row (aquarium) and Carmel.

They also have a small but free exercise room. The pool was a big hit for my kids and the included self-serve continental breakfast surpassed my expectations!
