Review 2：The front desk clerk was very patient with me as I decided which room I wanted. She even let me view the room before I actually paid for it... I had a difficult time opening the room door, she came down to open it for me with no hesitation... The room was jus so clean and cozy and the king size bed was so comfortable.. I hated to check out of my nice room.

Review 5：The only room left at the time of booking was smoking. I had to get the maid to spray it down with air spray and later it still was kind of strong smell of smoke.
Review 6：The staff was good. the location was good also. and it was a very quite place.
Review 7：No elevator. No hot shower, the knob was fixed to only get warm water, not hot. The entire building wreaks of cigarette smoke. You make multiple trips up and down the stairs because there's no elevator. The mattresses were so worn out that There was a hump in the middle and the sides where you sleep were sunk in. It's about like a Super 8. It was at least clean. Breakfast is a waffle maker , muffins or cereal. The front doors going in were so narrow that you could not get the luggage rack to wheel through it and they do not open automatically so if you are by yourself, don't expect any help from the staff. They just watch you struggle with it while sitting behind the desk and ignore you.

Review 9：The bedding was old, yellowed, and worn. Although I think everything was clean, the sheets were "beaded" and the bedspread screamed the 1980's. The carpeting was walked flat, very little padding or comfort. Mold in bathroom corners. I could have paid $20 more and had a nicer stay just down the road.

Review 17：Everything about this hotel was great. Clean, comfortable and very inexpensive. Staff was very nice and helpful. Self serve laundry on site. Nice safe location just off of 51. 15/20min from Bass Pro Pyramid and 10/15min from medical district in Memphis. Downsides (if you can call them that): Small 50 room capacity. Outdoor pool very small. Like as in 10'x15' more for the kiddos Breakfast could be better with adding some fresh fruit etc.
Review 18：Only 2 towels in room and had to trade dirty towels for clean towels. We were traveling with Grandchild and this made it difficult to use swimming pool then shower afterwards.

Review 22：My reservation was for a smoking room, they book booked it for non smoking, I had to pay an up charge for a smoking room. My comforter had a sticky substance on it, and on the floor as well. I notified upon check out, and they assured me it would be taked care of....
Review 23：Very nice, helpful, courteous, informintive. The room was large, and comfortable. Love the refrigerator, and microwave. The free Internet was fast, and steady.
Review 24：Being the rooms were just redone - there was a vast paint smell. It was almost to the point of fear of going to sleep that the fumes would overwhelm while sleeping. Other than that, the stay was perfect! Nice secluded neighborhood where you feel safe, but yet close enough to restaurants that you don't have to drive very far.
Review 25：The outside doors are key activated - even the front door! Nice clean rooms and could tell they were recently redone. Had reserved a King room and 8 year old son decided to go last minute - was no problem to change to a double Queen - clerk was very helpful! The fridge was almost full size - had seperate Freezer / Refrigerator. NICE!!
Review 26：Lord if you all would get some better mattress you couldn't expect a better hotel.. The mattress are TOOOOOO SOFTTTT and do not seem to be on the bed well... This was in room 103!!!! I love the room but the mattress had my body aching.... They feel so worn out!!!!!!!!!

Review 28：The bed was great and soft, the sheets were sparkly white clean and the room was clean. We were coming in from out of state for a funeral and got there early and they let us check in early so we could freshen up, the people there were super nice and helpful, we enjoyed our stay!

The price of the room was cheap and our room was clean. There are many mixed reviews so I was very iffy.. but everything was good. Will stay again if we come back to Southaven.
Review 34：I didn't like that there was room construction in the room directly above ours and I was awoken by loud banging when I had planned to sleep in. That was very aggravating.
Review 35：I liked the comfort of the bed and pillows. I forgot my pillow and was pleasantly surprised that there were nice ones there. I was provided with a coffee pot, which doesn't come with the rooms. All staff with one exception were very nice.
Review 36：Obviously dirty sheets on "made up" bed! Disgusting! "Breakfast" was a joke. Went and had breakfast elsewhere. Would never had stayed night if it hadn't been 11 pm when we got into room.
Review 37：The cleaning staff forgot my room one of the 3 days I was there. It didn't really matter because I'm compulsively clean and always make my own bed anyway. The front desk gave me towels and all was well. I was around the hotel during the day so that may have thrown them off.
Review 38：The staff was kind and friendly, the room and grounds were clean. There were restaurants within walking distance and I felt safe wandering around by myself. The small pool was clean and refreshing. I had read a few on-line reviews and honestly they were mixed so I didn't know what to expect...I was pleasantly surprised and more than got my monies worth. Breakfast was basic but there was plenty to eat, even waffles!

The paid staff was very helpful and friendly but the manager was very blunt and gave the impression that he did not care if we stayed or were comfortable or not. The staff was very friendly and was able to answer our questions. It was very quiet. We didn't hear a door slam, or anyone talking in the hallways. We didn't eat breakfast there, but they served the typical continental breakfast. I would recommend staying here to anyone. In fact, we intend to stay here again next year.

Review 116：The room stunk like old musty and every thing had a smoke smell. I had to spray half a bottle of body spray when I first walked in. The blanket had burn holes in it and if you steam clean the draps every now and then and the beds would help a little with smell. And the ac was so full of dust that when I woke up my eyes where swollen so bad it looked like they were shut. Luckily I had allergy medicine with me.

Its a short commute to the city of memphis I have stayed there every time I come to the area since July 2013. Clean friendly staff. Great for family or couple's. Individual travelers. Great rates using booking.com. wish there wad a rewards program because I stay their often and in years to come until I move to the area.
Review 119：I did not like that there was a huge stain in the bath tub. I'm notsure what caused the stain, but it was definitely less than pleasing.Luckily, we had no need for the shower being that we were only spendinga few hours to rest up.

So she slept with no sheets on the bed and I just didntcheck- I didnt want to know! If you have any hang ups about cleanlinessor being pampered or just appreciated, skip this place. We just wantedto get in our 8 hours between two long days of driving and couldn'teven have that- 4 thumbs way down!.
