Reviews for Inn & Spa at Loretto
Review 1:The location is ideal to experience the heart of Santa Fe. There were many places to eat and great shopping within a short walk from the hotel. From walking to a place to have an ice cream cone or a latte or a fine dinner or breakfast, it was just easy to get around on foot and have a great time
Review 2:It seemed that because we reserved through Booking. Com, we were less welcome and were given an undesirable room. The request to change room was granted by the manager, so all ended well.
Review 3:Location is ideal for Christmas events. Decorations were reserved but tasteful. Concierge was helpful. Room was large and comfortable.
Review 4:not bad, however, elevator didn't work for a short period (I walked down & reported it. fire alarm went off at 3:30 am and no mention made of it by staff
Review 5:location perfect--décor southwest without pink/peach/blue--staff friendly--good coffee in the room--nice balcony, fireplace and linens
Review 6:The price is high even if commensurate with the other hotels of this type in the area. Also the daily resort fee and parking fee are a bit irritating.
Review 7:The location is fantastic. And the rooms although small are comfortable.
Review 8:the food and beverage staff is slow and inattentive
Review 9:the staff overall is very nice and helpful. the front desk efficent and valet very good. location is great property is very quite and restful.
Review 10:Staff at the desk were "mechanical" and not very friendly. I was not made to feel welcome. Not many staff seemed happy.
Review 11:Location was very good; Room was nicely appointed.
Review 12:Virtually no customer service. Called to order from room service menu in room and was told it was no longer in use and we could order from the much pricier restaurant dinner menu. I called to ask the front desk about it and got no satisfaction or follow-up. We were never acknowledged by any staff as we went in or out of the hotel. We spent four nights and the only time I saw the concierge at her desk was as we left the hotel after check out. Dirty glasses in the hallways for hours daily.
Review 13:Good location
Review 14:Room type is a bit misleading. The "balcony" was not what was expected. Much too small to enjoy and the increased cost for the "room with a balcony" is not worth it and shouldn't be priced more than others.
Review 15:The setting was great. Located very close to downtown Sante Fe.
Review 16:This hotel is rated one of the best in the country. I have no idea why. The rooms are tiny, there were 2 light bulbs missing in the bathroom, the bathroom fan did not work, the AC in room did not work, no ventilation in hotel either...almost seemed like the AC in whole hotel was broken. For the price, you'd expect one of those teeny coffee makers in room. Not there either. Parking/valet is $21 a day. I would expect great customer service for that. Upon arrival I needed to get a hat out of car, explained that to valet guy and he said "I will give you your keys to go get it." So I walked an eternity through lot to find car, and got my hat. Everything was sorely overpriced. A soda water was $3.50. While a beer was $5. Makes no sense. Will not go back.
Review 17:I liked the closeness to everything. Not much else knocked my socks off.
Review 18:The rooms are nice and cozy but dated. We usually stay somewhere else due to all the add ons here- resort fees, parking fee and the restaurant prices are extremely high even for santa fe.
Review 19:We have stayed here a few times and always like the location and the ambiance of Inn at Loretto
Review 20:The staff was challenged with customer service. Between the indifference and the lack of information or willingness I felt disappointed and disenchanted with the hotel. Staff needs training and enthusiasm. Also wasn't told about the great little coffee shop in the breezeway of Hotel. best kept secret. Sad.
Review 21:Location and convenience
Review 22:The ventilation system in our room was very loud and seemed to run most of the night making it difficult to sleep.
Review 23:The staff was very helpful and friendly. The accommodations were beautiful and the location was perfect for walking the plaza and other venues. I will definitely be staying here again.
Review 24:The bed was firm but lots of people like a firm bed so not a negative for many!
Review 25:We loved the Loretto! It was decorated nice and the staff was amazing. Every interaction from the front desk, valet to room service employee was professional and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful! We went down to the bar area Friday night and enjoyed the live music entertainment and drinks were really good! Location location location! Right off of the plaza and easy to get around from our hotel. We would definetly recommend this hotel and will be coming back!
Review 26:On of the best hotel fitness centers I have experienced. there wasn't one single picture of it on their website so I had to call and check and make sure they had one and it turned out to be a really nice one.
Review 27:Bathroom was quite crowded. One sink, one mirror for two people getting ready in the morning is not convient. We are smallish people but could hardly pass behind each other when one was standing at the sink. Not able to turn on the bedroom lights with one or switches.
Review 28:The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
Review 29:The bar makes one of the worst Margaritas in history. Seriously, scrap that recipe altogether, walk to the La Fonda or any other and borrow their recipe.
Review 30:Comfortable beds, nice fire an lounge in which to read
Review 31:Room accommodations did not match price. Rooms were nice, but not exceptional. Dining room was not exceptional.
Review 32:Very guest oriented and accommodating.Wonderful, but pricey, spa.
Review 33:Internet connection was out both days we were there and the television didn't tune to CNN for some reason - we just got sound. Called the front desk but it never got remedied.
Review 34:Great location. Very comfortable. Nice decor.
Review 35:The concierge ( a woman ) was condesending. Other than that, the other staff, particularly, the yong man at the checking was friendly and helpful.
Review 36:Decor of hotel in public and individual rooms...very nice.
Review 37:While one is paying for location, I thought it was a bit pricey for the room and extras! The room was small. The restaurant was nice but again a bit overpriced for the food!
Review 38:The Inn is located right in the heart of Old Santa Fe, which means one can walk most everywhere. The bartender really knew his stuff and added extra booze to the drinks, so beware.
Review 39:Church bells early in morning woke us up and kept us awake; some of personnel were great, but some were poor; continental breakfast should be more than coffee and tea; only one treadmill was operational and usually being used; very noisy room heater; analog TV only; problems with room card key becoming demagnetized;$5 bottle of water in room; lack of communication between front desk and valet; not enough personnel at front desk; dirt/debris on hallway floors.
Review 40:In-room Maid service; valet parkers; girl who helped us in business center....
Review 41:The first room we got was located on the second floor and had no view. We were relocated to the third floor but the heater was very noisy.
Review 42:Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is perfect if you like to walk to the plaza as it is very central but on a quiet street.
Review 43:The hotel is over rated. Failed to meet any of our reservation requests for the room, probably never read or paid attention to the reservation requests. Room & Bathroom size were poor for the price being charged. Did not care for the compulsary Valet Parking.
Review 44:Not Much
Review 45:The comforter on the bed was old and needed to be replaced. It did not measure up to the quality of the room itself.
Review 46:I had a massage that was excellent. Plus I love the location of the hotel. The food was also very good.
Review 47:Asked for a scenic view and got the driveway/valet area, not what we envisioned. Pillows were too soft for our liking.
Review 48:Bed was very comfortable, staff excellent. Great location.
Review 49:Mattress needed to be replaced Additional fees are excessive $21/night for parking $15/night for resort facilities Taxes 15%
Review 50:Location Staff
Review 51:The room that we were given at first smelled like someone had been smoking in it - the front desk staff were happy to find us another room and did so fast! Thank you !!
Review 52:On arrival hotel still hadn't got info from Booking.Com despite reservation made well in advance. Hotel was awesome and took care of us!!! Fantastic service at Hotel but very leary of booking.com.
Review 53:Take some of the ransom money I was charged, almost $800 for a single 2 night stay and hire a decorator. Rooms are dark and depressing even considering that I do understand Asante Fe style having lived here in the past. I wanted to sit on the little patio off my room but it was dirty, old bird droppings, and standing water for the view. No coffee in the room so a mere cup in the am was almost $20 with room service. Yikes! I like to stay at gracious hotels around the world and this is not one.
Review 54:Close to the action, the best thing about this hotel is the location. Beds are comfy, sheets are soft but loose the dark pillows, never know where those have been.
Review 55:Bathroom was small and didn't have counter space, make up mirror& ltd toiletries. Closet was tiny and in the bathroom. Veryinconvenient. No turndown service in the evening. No room safe. Theseare all things I expect in a 4 Star hotel. Forced to valet park which isinconvenient and expensive.
Review 56:Great location, just steps from the Plaza. Spa facilities werenice..especially the private shower and dressing area. Also, loved mypedicure. Nice view of mountains from our balcony.
Review 57:Overpriced for what the rooms are. When you check in they inform you there is an additional $15.00 per night charge for misc. things. No complimentary water in the room and turn down service only on request. The air conditioner is loud and blowing right over the bed making it uncomfortable, an allergy irritant and a constant noise in the room. Not the refined stay I hoped for.
Review 58:Location was good.
Review 59:We had a confirmation for a king bed. after checking in and going to our room, we discovered two double beds. we call the front desk and were told there were no king beds available. they offered no explanation for the switch or made any offer to adjust the rate
Review 60:I had an excellent stay at this beautiful hotel it's location is excellent. It is pet friendly which helped me. It was good to get the heads up from an earlier review regarding the parking and extra charges. I agree they should be built into the rates. But overall it was an excellent stay. I also got a wonderful massage while there, the spa was a very beautiful peaceful place.
Review 61:Great location. Very quite. Friendly & helpful staff, who remembered our name. Comfortable bed. Only complaint is that the baths are small. But, for a historic building, it is in A+ condition.
Review 62:There should have been a complimentary breakfast of at least some rolls and fruit. Only coffee, and it was located in a strange, hard to find area. There was some kind of breakfast for some club, but we were were told that hotel guests were not allowed in. It seems like the club member breakfast should have been in the back by the restaurant, not in the "Living Room."
Review 63:I liked the serene and beautiful environment. The photo gallery was amazing.
Review 64:Check in at 4pm is really annoying and the latest time I've seen anywhere. Forced to use valet parking. Resort tax is a joke...for what?!!
Review 65:Great location to plaza Attractive hotel Nice pool
Review 66:Great location & beautiful setting. It is off the beaten path & away from noise but close &within walking distance to museums & stores ! Great staff & facilities!
Review 67:Be prepared to be gouged for all manner of fees not related to daily room charge. Lots of better values in Santa Fe.
Review 68:Location and facility.
Review 69:We didn't like that a toddler was put in the room Next door on our last night.
Review 70:The staff was exceptional.
Review 71:I thought the Spa prices were high, even by Santa Fe standards. Chose not to use.
Review 72:Location, Luminarias Restaurant (Melissa)
Review 73:Poor ventilation. And when I showed the desk person the bug I had found in in my bed he didn't seem very concerned.
Review 74:Empty glass in hall for time we were there's,also empty Soda bottle. Air Cond made unbearable noises all nite.
Review 75:Parking
Review 76:Service was incredible.
Review 77:slow wifi
Review 78:Location, staff, room size
