Review 1：Amazing deal for a last minute, spur of the moment trip. The saline pool was wonderful and the room itself was clean, comfortable and far better than we expected for the rate. We will definitely be back.

The card says mark what you want and put it on the door before midnight (the front desk told me they leave at 10 so I'm not sure how that works) we put our card out at about 10:15 for breakfast, the next day we wait until it's close to the time of our checkout and nothing comes.
Review 7：The ambiance and decor in the rooms was awesome. My girlfriend and I loved the einsteinian style bulbs that are used. Overall for the price it was insanely nice, love the remodel. We spent probably an hour just walking around exclaiming at all the details.

Review 13：How friendly the staff was and how unique and modern the accommodations were. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The shower was completely awesome! The little fireplace was super cute! The hardwood floors were to die for!!!
Review 14：Bathroom has an industrial sliding door to sink and adjoining toilet/shower rooms, but there needs to be another door between the sink and the toilet/shower.

Review 16：Was unable to use wifi to stream Netflix while daughter was sleeping and could not even surf the Internet. Could not access email or Facebook, etc. Would recommend increasing internet speed and capacity to accommodate guests. Luckily I did not need to work because I wouldn't have been able to get anything done. Access to wifi with a code for guests would help keep other nearby properties from streaming the free wifi and making it a useless feature.
Review 17：Kid friendly, staff were great. Loved the close proximity to the beach and all of downtown. Beds were super comfortable. Loved the simplicity of the rooms and the hardwood floors.

Our room had king-size memory foam platform bed, down quilt, walk-in shower with overhead shower, fireplace, refrigerator,eco-friendly soaps and bath supplies and a flat-screen tv. Hotel is gay and pet friendly,1/2 block from beach and round-about.

Review 23：I apologize for the length of this review, but this hotel was very unusual and I wanted to be very objective and fair in my review. The staff was incomparable and made my stay very enjoyable. Hotel location is excellent and the entire area appears safe and devoid of crime. The "front desk" has the appearance of a tropical coffee bar and is a very casual and comfortable feature. It is obvious that the owners and staff have gone out of their way to satisfy their guests. However...........my room's "back to basics" decor was unusual, innovative and unique but some guests may not appreciate the "green movement" when it comes to sleeping comfort. As a professional builder, I found the decor tasteful and well thought out, but lacking in detail and craftsmanship. This is just my observation as a tradesman, and not a criticism, as unless you are an experienced woodworker or builder, the craftsmanship details would not be noticeable, and therefore not objectionable. As impressed as I am with the owners' innovations, I am one of those guests who prefers more cushy comfort after a long day's travel.

Review 26：It was quiet, close to the beach and very laid back. The staff greeted us quickly and the transaction was smooth. Seeing other patrons smiling while they were enjoying the pool and fire pit raised the mood considerably. Overall very happy with the overnight experience. The beds are firm so that was also a plus as usual hotel beds are far to soft.

The young women who checked us out was helpful about routing us away from the fires. The pool is as described in other posts--like a hot tub on steroids.

Review 37：I'll start with saying the hotel was clean, but we won't be staying here again. Yes it's been freshly remodeled, but it's still basically a Motel 6. Cramped with noisy AC units in the wall. On check in the staff was very confused about what rooms were clean (it was 4 PM) and it took fifteen minutes for them to find us a room. The only king rooms are on the second floor and there's no elevator, so if you have heavy luggage, be prepared to lug it up the stairs. Not what we expected for the price, but we booked at the last minute and couldn't get a room on the beach

Review 40：I am so excited about this hotel that I could not wait to write my review. I am writing this from my hotel room. Ashore is the perfect blend of local, sustainability, beauty, and functionality. All the food and drinks served here are from within 100 miles or organic. All the wood used in the design is reclaimed. The light bulbs are low energy. The floors are concrete, which is perfectly logical because we are on the coast. Wet sandy carpet would be gross. I have terrible allergies, but they did not react to this dog-friendly hotel. The wifi is fast, the T.V. is flat, the water is hot, the coffee is unlimited and free. The fantastic organic toiletries in the room are available for purchase at the front desk for less than half the price of mall stores. The heated soaking pool is almost the temperature of a hot tub, which is really nice after spending the day in the frigid Pacific. You can order a beer from the pool! There is also a gorgeous sauna if you want to relax even more. Then, outside the pool there is a wood deck with a gas firepit for even further enjoyment. The employees are just as excited to work here as I am to stay here. This means they take ownership and pride in the hotel and in the guest experience. I highly recommend the Ashore Hotel!
