Review 1：Reconstruction going on, but let see, what an upgrade it delivers to the place.

Review 2：Good location within walking distance from train and bus station. Great view!

Review 3：Now 50 years old, the Lux is a classic Communist tourist hotel of its time. The receptionist described the architecture as "cool" and said that it was visited by students of architecture. Let us hope that the present refurbishment does not spoil its period charm.

Review 4：I stayed here two times almost ten years ago and then it was better. They are rebranding the hotel to "Residence Lux" and the hotel has got a new facade, which means the spacious balconies have been closed leaving only a window to be opened. So it can get very hot in the rooms since they haven't got aircon. Also, in my room there were no easy-accesible power outlets at all for charging mobile phone etc - only in the toilet. And the water-pressure in the shower is unacceptably bad (rule #1 when modernising a hotel in Slovakia seems to be to install showers with extremely low water-pressure). All in all, a very unsuccesful modernisation of this once great hotel.

Review 5：The main restaurant was closed and food only served in the lobby-bar, but the food was very, very good and staff kind and attentive.

Review 8：The room was a bit run down / older (thus the renovation). There were signs asking customers to bare with them through there renovations, which go from top to bottom on the exterior, including about 4 floors in the middle that are almost completely gutted (window /doors etc.) which is understandable. The signs informed customers that construction hours were 09:00 to 16:00, although we had someone using a sledge hammer on concrete above us at 07:45!! Not extremely happy with that one. The rest was just your typical hotel for the region.

Review 9：The location of the building was quite nice. I would say it's about a ten minute walk through a park to the old section of the town square. The place was clean enough - the shower / water pressure was decent. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing to rave about.
