Reviews for Ramada Torrance
Review 1:The room was large and very clean. They gave us conditioner. Most hotels do not provide conditioner it's a mix of shampoo and conditioner. Great experience and great hotel. The staff were wonderful. The complimentary breakfast was great too. Very clean machines for making waffles and a lot of fresh options for fruit, bread and bagels.
Review 2:I requested prior a downstairs room due to a disabled friend and was given an upstairs room. Parking was atrocious. Thin walls with inconsiderate neighbors fighting. Bathroom light broken.
Review 3:Location not bad.
Review 4:The rooms were NOTHING as pictured. I feel I would have gotten more for my buck & been more comfortable at a Motel 6. There was an eerie feeling upon entering the room. Walls were cracked/peeling. The chair was as hard as the floor. The lighting was very dim, in a creepy fashion. And management has yet to respond to me.
Review 5:Bed squeaked to the slightest movement. Thin walls, can hear neighbors talking. Interesting smell.
Review 6:Location, breakfast included, and pricing. Room was clean.
Review 7:Room could use a better cleaning, noise from other rooms was unbearable at times, phone kept ringing through the night for some reason (nobody I knew), did not offer late check-out or early check-in.
Review 8:Great location, rooms were comfortable
Review 9:The internet signal on the TV was not that strong and it kept disconnecting. The continental breakfast was all carbs. They should offer bacon and eggs!
Review 10:Swimming pool and jacuzi were a plus. Although not all of the jets were working in the jacuzzi.
Review 11:That they didn't input our next day stay so we had to look for another hotel
Review 12:All around I liked it had to wash our clothes and very great rooms. All most like home
Review 13:I don't know if the front desk clerk was having a bad day, or the fact that we just drove 7 hours to get there, but he had a little too much attitude, ESPECIALLY since he lost our friends reservation.
Review 14:We really liked the room, it was clean, comfortable, and up to date. Our 2 year old loved the space to move, (run =').
Review 15:None
Review 16:Front desk was very efficient. They had good breakfast and quite location. Room service was very good. The pool was clean and my kids enjoyed swimming.
Review 17:We was disappointed that the spa was not working. Originally this was going to be a high point for the hotel. The pool was warm enough to swim in which was a good second choice. Lack of public transport information, did not have a car.
Review 18:The breakfast was good. The Laundry was much appreciated and was important for our decision to stay at this hotel. The staff were great and accommodating.
Review 19:Room and bathroom was dingy, visible scratches on hard floor, no carpeting, small areas of wall had paint flaking off, TV remote was dusty/not cleaned, TV station stand-up plastic sign was dusty, could not access TV channels by inputting channel numbers per sign and instead needed to keep pressing the up/down button.
Review 20:Inexpensive price at $99 per night. Nice location, walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Convenient Chinese restaurant on premises. Pet-friendly.
Review 21:Unless you split hairs, nothing really negative
Review 22:Nice room, good bed, large pool, very acceptable breakfast. 20 mins drive from LAX, much better hotel than in Inglewood / El Segundo area.
Review 23:Gym does not open until 9am--that's half the day gone. The walls are thin and so we could hear the people upstairs and in the next room.
Review 24:Staff was friendly. Location was good. Breakfast was good.
Review 25:Sat Nav directions were 1 mile out - scary as that area was not good - so if it happens to you - keep going!! Its easy to spot.
Review 26:Much closer than you think to a great beach - 10 mins car away. Good breakfast and lovely big rooms. Very pleased .Very quiet.
Review 27:Cigarette smokers hanging out outside close to rooms. Didn't like secondary smoke.
Review 28:High ceilings in the room. Housekeeping is excellent (muy bueno)
Review 29:Worst experience in a hotel I ever had. Noisy and inconsiderate guests coupled with an unresponsive staff does not fulfull my expectations of a good night sleep I expect during a business trip.
Review 30:Proximity to my office, but there are others.
Review 31:The toilet seat was broken I almost feel off of it and I asked one of the worker to please install a new one , also I asked for the Goverment Discount Was told it will apply butt it did not poor front desk service.
Review 32:Well they need better Manager because o get charge for forty-five minutes and have to pay for an entire Day is not fair or right
Review 33:The breakfast was very poor because eggs were not available. The staff were not available when we needed them to check out our bags. The sink is outside the bathrooms and it leaks(please renovate the bathrooms) The room's view was not beautiful, it was blocked with walls. The rooms are smelly, smelt like dead cockroaches and urine.
Review 34:Fast wifi
Review 35:The room wasn't too clean, there was what appeared to be black mold in room 225 lower left by the tub. The floors really need to be swept, then mopped. I saw the house kepper using a towel wrapped around a broom to sweep the floor. It was a bath towel, maybe the one the consumer used and put in the floor.
Review 36:Like the room looked nice and the bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly
Review 37:Only fruit at breakfast was apples.
Review 38:Staff friendly but the place is kind of old. Wooden floors between first and second floors so if you have a noisy upstairs good luck
Review 39:We were told it was renovated. It was not. It was a bit dirty. Dirty tile & grout in bathroom. Shower was missing a small shelf, yucky grout left in it's place. Dirty finger & footprints on bathroom door. Dirty chair. Dirty baseboards.
Review 40:Friendly staff
Review 41:Wifi is disaster every 2 minutes you should login again with the passpowrd ..... Breakfast is very limited and very poor service With no food varaity at all...
Review 42:Location is ok with less traffic,
Review 43:The Bed was very heard the room was not all that clean no microwave they gave me a none smoke room an I ask for smoke room when checking out they did give us are deposit which was $50 or they was going to fine us $250 so we will not be booking at the Ramada Hotel any more will not tell friends or family about this Hotel #notagoodstay
Review 44:Nothings
Review 45:for the price of the motel we would have expected a better breakfast. it was only toast, waffles, cereals etc. no fresh fruits or eggs etc.
Review 46:very nice an comfy rooms, friendly saff, pool and parking
Review 47:The free breakfast was a little disappointing. I was expecting some bagels, fruits bowls or something of that nature. However, they did have the make your own waffles which was probably the highlight of the breakfast. Also, they don't have a tv guide so I spent most of my time changing the channel to try and find something to watch. The parking spaces are a bit tight.
Review 48:The rooms look just like the pictures which I found reassuring. The kind size bed was extremely comfortable. It was extremely clean and the maids did a wonderful job of housekeeping during each day of our stay. Overall great place to stay and good prices.
Review 49:I had to request 4 times for an extra bed pillow from the front desk who assured me housekeeping would provide it. I got it by not leaving the front desk until the desk clerk gave the pillow to me.
Review 50:great location for access to all south bay towns for a bargain price.
Review 51:The wooden floors had 1 inch gaps in areas. Bed were not queen size and were not that comfortable. There was not a microwave. But could go to lobby and use it.
Review 52:The water pressure was great, had a pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast was so so.
Review 53:The key wouldn't open the fitness canter so if you're looking to get a workout in, I would ask at the front desk if there's a truck to it. also the breakfast is all pastries, cereal, and breads. I was hoping for some kind of protein and maybe some fruit.
Review 54:My room was huge!!! The beds were super comfy and it wasn't too noisy. It was next to the Porsche dealer so I could plan for my next car purchase while I was there. If you keep going down PCH there are a couple of pretty large shopping centers with grocery stores and restaurants.
Review 55:We arrived to a full power outage, so zero electricity, hot water, anything. We had to be up early and were assured the power would be back on really early. With no option but to use our phones for alarms, our phones died and we were late for our event. The staff said they would discount our stay 10% for that night only (laughable)... And yet in the final bill they did not even honor that! Spend your money on a budget hotel elsewhere.
Review 56:Our room had a very strong smell of animals or animal urine. It was very hard to relax with this smell. Also, we were coming into town and requested early check in and arrived at 12:30. We were told to check back at 1 and that a room would likely be ready. Then at 1:30 we were told they are almost ready and to check back at 2. Then at 2 we were told to check back at 3, rooms were still dirty. I sat in the lobby and they found us a room by 2:30/2:45. Also, the breakfast had almost all grains, there was not even any yogurt and not hot food such as eggs or sausage.
Review 57:The floors not having carpet, the bed was reasonalbly comfortable, and location.
Review 58:Room smelled moldy/ mildew. Bathtub was old, mold around fixtures. No pressure in showers. Breakfast was pitiful. Had to go elsewhere for a decent breakfast.
Review 59:Bed was clean. Location was good.
Review 60:No shuttle bus
Review 61:The bed and pillows. Absolutely the most comfortable we have ever experienced. Only stayed 1 night as transiting back to NZ but would have liked to have stayed longer.
Review 62:Would have preferred a suite to have kids sleep.
Review 63:It was very close to where we needed to be. Had a pool to throw the kids. Very clean. Comfortable rooms.
Review 64:The bathroom was very outdated. Bathrooms needed a fan. The walls next the floors are filthy. The bathroom is uncomfortable to be in. The breakfast even though it's complimentary wasn't bragging about.
Review 65:The room it's self was very nice.
Review 66:Manager ignored over half a dozen requests to speak with her about the issues with the room, concave mattress, faulty door lock, dirty floor, etc. I wasn't expecting the Four Seasons, but I thought Ramada had a decent standard of quality and that wasn't the case.
Review 67:Hospitality staff were very nice.
Review 68:The bed was completely sunken in with no mattress cover. Walls of room were extremely dirty. Neighbors were loud at 11pm and remained loud for an hour after my complaint.
Review 69:I really liked the location of the hotel
Review 70:For the cost of the room (considerably less than the other common chains in the area), we got a nice room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. No issues here.
Review 71:The place seems dirty, the sink smelled like pee and when we told the front desk, he said maybe was cleaner. I don't think so! I did not even want to make coffee in the room for fear of what was in there. Not coming back here that's for sure.
Review 72:Not much, sorry
Review 73:There was not one thing i didnt like about the place
Review 74:I like that the room was so clean and thats very important i would come back when im in town again. and the movie channels were good as well no extra charge.
Review 75:The room was not very clean. Shower was dirty and the drapes and floors had seen better days. The room looked refurbished but it was poorly done and it showed. Also got back late on of the two nights to find about a dozen teenage guys running around 'playing'. Didn't feel safe.
Review 76:the room was a very good size.
Review 77:THE NOISE ON SATURDAY MORNING FROM 11:00 A.M. 'TILL ABOUT 3:00 P.M. FROM THE MAINTENANCE WORKERS WORKING ON THE LAUNDRY ROOM AREA BY DRILLING VERY LOUDLY AND BANGING ON THE WALL CONTINUOUSLY.
Review 78:EVERYTHING.
Review 79:It resembles more of a roadside motel than a hotel. Shower was hanging out of the wall unsecured and covered in limescale, power sockets in very inconvenient places, in serious need of renovation. Room not cleaned until 5.30pm.
Review 80:I liked its location in relation to the Robinson Helicopter Factory. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Review 81:I didn't like that there wasn't many choices around to go out and have a drink with my girlfriend. I'd recommend something closer to Los Angeles or long beach.
Review 82:I liked the way the room was set up. Nice, comfy bed and it was quiet throughout the night.
Review 83:Hotel seemed to be used by workers that got up really early and you could hear through the walls
Review 84:Large free parking. Location on main road with plenty of places to eat nearby. Breakfast self service.
Review 85:The room above or beside was extremely noisy when reported was told that it would be taken care of and the noise was going to stop. (It sounded like someone was playing basketball in the room. The noise never stopped. We were there 3 days.
Review 86:Quiet even located to busy Street.
Review 87:The wooden floors are a nice touch but it was still dirty. Our socks and feet was covered in dirt when we walked around the room.
Review 88:I liked that our beds were made when we came back to the room and fresh towels
Review 89:Outdated/dirty looking bathroom. Toilet not secured to the wall. Noise travels due to hardwood floors.
Review 90:Pretty room. Big bed. Nice TV. Liked that there was a fridge already in the room. Didn't have to request for meds
Review 91:With no carpet on the floors, there were no rugs. When it rained, the area for the dog was full of mud. I put towels down inside the door to catch the mud. It wasn't until I went to check out that I was told there was a $10 per towel penalty for getting exterior mud on them. Mmmm, not a good practice.
Review 92:For a family who smokes, with a dog, the conveniences were located very close to the room. The room did not have carpeted floors, for which I was VERY grateful.
Review 93:The bathrooms could have been a little cleaner. Ours had a used hair tie on the back of the bathroom door and you cold see some mold and dirt in the grout of the bathroom floor and in the tub.
Review 94:What I liked most about my stay was the friendly staff. Every time we walked past a staff member we were greeted. Also, for any additional needs or questions, the staff had great answers and went above and beyond to assist us with our needs.
Review 95:Filthy, thin walls , smells like smoke.
Review 96:This place was very dirty. Especially the bathroom. Mildewy grout on tub and floor needs to be cleaned. There were dirty used towels left in bathroom. People smoked in rooms and walls are very thin. I would not stay there again . I have stayed in motel 6 that are cleaner than this Ramada. That's sad.
Review 97:That they didn't have queen beds in their double rooms beds too small
Review 98:Great service and decent continental breakfast would definitely recommend this place
Review 99:Surprised there wasn't carpeting, hardwood floors looked great though floor was very cold on the feet. Wishing I had slippers to use but had extra socks. Mattress was rather noisy, squeaking with every move but felt fine.
Review 100:Was a Cold New Years Eve night but room was very quiet & heater worked really well. Very Nice large room & frig really keep leftovers cold.
Review 101:The motel was on a very busy street. The floors in the room needed to be really cleaned. For the most part the room was okay. The curtains on the window were really cheap and they looked it. The room really needed to be updated lots of paint would work. Everything was just old and beat up.
Review 102:The motel was close for walking to the shopping area down the street
Review 103:Room had no place to set a suitcase. (We had 4 suitcases.) I would have liked protein at the breakfast bar.
Review 104:The Belgian waffles were so good. The staff was friendly. Always with a smile and "Hi."
Review 105:The motel was close to friends we were visiting. The room was spacious, clean with coffee and tea provided. The shower was powerful. Soap, shampoo, condition and mouthwash provided. Breakfast was self service and plenty.
Review 106:Walls in the room definitely need more cleaning attention. Lots of dirt marks, scuffs and even thinhs flicked onto it. Looked like boogers were on the walls.
Review 107:That there was hardwood floors. Beds were clean and counters too. I enjoyed the balcony and big windows for a nice breeze. Love that the location was right in tje middle of things.
Review 108:There were a few floorboards in the room that weren't put together all the way Wifi kept disconnecting after not being in use
Review 109:Staff was Friendly Location wasn't sketch Close to shopping and restaurants
Review 110:There was never enough towels left in the room, I had to request that two towels be left in the room daily. The door had not been sealed properly and I could feel air and see sun light around the door and the frame. parking spaces were tight.
Review 111:Staff was great, Room was good, and the Inn was nice and quiet. Overall I would stay at this Ramada Inn again.
Review 112:Everything was filthy, hair in shower even on towels, floor dirty, stuff was stained, no extra tp in room, just awful. Oh and the WiFi losses signal and make you rejoin almost hourly. Not with the money.
Review 113:hard wood floors / poor communication with the day shift mgt./ jacuzzi was out of service/ people next to me blasting there radio late at night before a room change was made for other reason..
Review 114:had a problem that occured late..the night time mgr handled the situation well.
Review 115:There were insects (water bugs or roaches) in the bathroom area and I felt uncomfortable that they would get into my luggage.
Review 116:I liked the convenient location and pricing for a short term stay while conducting business in the area.
Review 117:Only one washer and dryer? I waited two hours to catch available washer and dryer, and I was very dead tired.
Review 118:Need to improve on higher speed on Wi-Fi because I used video phone to make a phone calls, and it kept freezing.
Review 119:I don't feel they did the best cleaning of the room. Someone pulled their clothing stickers off their clothing and stuck them to the wall by the bed and in the shower. The floor was sticky in front of the fridge. And there was a black smug on one of the beds. No one answered the operator number when we calle (right after check in) to ask why the wifi wasn't working. Look at what I liked to figure out how to make it work. Last the breakfast was not much to speak about (white bread, frozen thawed waffles), apples, yogurt, coffee (packaged cream), I don't think there was cereal.
Review 120:The location is good for going to Palos Verdes and the beaches. The room was decent and the price was great. The air conditions was wonderful. Check-in was fast. Internet was good. If you use it you may need to back arrow after you accept because a pop up will tell you it can't load. Arrow back in the browser and it will work. A mini store for needs (good because the breakfast is more of a snack that is offered.
Review 121:Very cheap breakfast, we didn't eat at all. Cockroaches in the apartment (I guess that's not a surprise in CA). Bathroom.
Review 122:Hardwood flooring!!! Location. Parking. Price.
Review 123:Manager told me to sign up for rewards to access promos. I did so andthe front desk told me sorry, this hotel doesnt participate in these!!!One was the aarp promo, so beware mature guests, dont do business here.Other promo was stay 3 nights get 20% off 4th. After 3rd nite the deskguy said they dont do that promo either! Manager didn't respond. Weare complaining to customer relations. Electronic keys never workedproperly, we had to run back and forth for new keys, ..insert 15 timesinto slot to activate.WiFi kept bumping me off internet which kept me in constant state if stress going back to signing on over and over and over. Front desk had no clue how to address this other than blaming my phone but I determined its their lack of boosters for the amount of rooms.
Review 124:Pillows o K. Location near good shopping. Washing machine available.
Review 125:Hot tub was a few degrees warmer than the pool, which was cold. Dirty outside around the pool, needs updating.
Review 126:Located 3 miles from beach and easy to find. Rooms updated with modern linens, newer flooring and furniture. Nice little mini fridge and two seat sofa.
Review 127:the room was well appointed, comfy large beds, large room enough for the three of us each with his own bed (I got the extra rollaway bed) quiet surroundings and very clean. Price was absolutely great value for money paid. Location was pretty good with a few restaurants and gas stations close by and very safe area and reasonably close to Hermosa and Redondo Beach (15-22 minutes driving depending upon time of day)
Review 128:We are from the area, but moved a few years ago. When we're in town my Mom and I stay here. It's conveniently located. great value for the money. the rooms are clean and we feel safe. We stayed for 3 nights. We had a late check in and a early check out, both staff members were friendly and helpful. They have a continental breakfast, which is nice. When back in the area, we will stay here. Thanks
Review 129:Nothing. It's misleading the way the location looks online. That is not what I signed up for. Floors were dirty, curtains were halfway of the rod, blankets were dirty, crumbs were in the bed, outlet plugs weren't working, and baseboards were dirty.
Review 130:Breakfast could use veggies/fruit. For a solo traveler it's not the cheapest option - but definitely comfortable! It's a hotel/motel hybrid - while the room is really a hotel standard, the layout is of a motel - also, don't expect anyone to help with your luggage.
Review 131:Got all I needed for my short stay (1 night): very clean, comfortable room (everything seemed quite new), helpful staff, flexible check-in time, they even let me stay extra half hour upon checkout since i was awaiting a later pickup from my friends. They have a luggage scale you can use if you're unsure about the weight of your suitcases! Very helpful. Would recommend to anyone in a similar travelling situation!
Review 132:There was construction in the next room for two days pounding and banging
Review 133:Stayed here a number of times
Review 134:No comment it was good
Review 135:The rooms!
Review 136:They gave me a late check out and the room was nice for the price
Review 137:Nothing
Review 138:Everything
