Reviews for Hyatt House Colorado Springs

Review 1:I really liked the room, I had a 1 bedroom suite. Very nice. The breakfast was included and after I had filled my plate I noticed that there was someone to make omelets

Review 2:This was an excellent limited service property.

Review 3:All the staff were super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel breakfast and bar were lovely, and we enjoyed our 'staycation' immensely! The rooms were very quiet and tastefully decorated, with plenty of comfortable and convenient amenities. Thanks to everyone for such a great experience!

Review 4:Felt that the couches were very uncomfortable and because of the room set up, if one was at the desk it was difficult to see the tv. Water pressure was low and temperature of water went from cold to scalding in seconds.

Review 5:The staff was excellent. The breakfast good with lots of choices. The hotel was clean.

Review 6:The heating duct is directly over the bed, so if you have the heat on, it blows on your head. The heating unit will not work if the windows are even slightly open. The coffee tasted vile.

Review 7:Not bad. Just suggestions. If suitcase is placed on holder in closet - can't open the other side to use the drawers, etc. Expand choice of food and beverages at market. Provide body wash with toiletries. Omelette bar got backed up and not enough seating for breakfast. Would be cool to have microwave popcorn in rooms and warm chocolate chip cookies upon checkin (like Double Tree). If booked thru 3rd party we earn no points for the room.

Review 8:Staff was excellent!!!!! Breakfast and omelet bar. Business Center by front desk if help needed. Front desk felt friendly but low key. DVD player in room.

Review 9:Very short staffed, couldn't even buy a bottle of water.

Review 10:Great location for Garden of the God's and Pikes Peak. Breakfast quite good (apart from the coffee)

Review 11:even though we arrived by 5pm, they did not have the room we requested. room noise, compressor running noises at random times, pillows were very poor. low water pressure. hot water took quite some time

Review 12:very nice staff. location was great. close to Garden of the Gods, easy freeway access to all other areas around town. nice kitchen area, separate bedroom very quiet from outside noise. even though there was a train track right next door, never heard a single train go by unless we were outside.

Review 13:Our room was right next to a train track. The train ran frequently so we didn't sleep well. Make sure to request a room away from the train.

Review 14:Nice rooms, good breakfast, helpful staff, pet friendly, convenient location.

Review 15:The property has up to date furnishings. The appliances appeared to be new. The suite was clean, tastefully decorated, and the bed was quite comfortable.

Review 16:It takes forever for you guys to actually pull the money from my account. And when. You first did it it was for more than what the room was. Now it's showing you guys haven't taken anything at all....days ago. So now I have to just wait and wonder when you will take it.

Review 17:Nice location

Review 18:The hyatt house in colorado springs was very quiet, comfortable, and staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast each morning was delicious. I only wish it was located closer to downtown Colorado Springs.

Review 19:The staff was extremely professional and accommodating. After checking into the room/suite, we decided it wasn't quite big enough for us. Naiella (sorry if its spelled wrong), friendliest front desk staff person I've ever met, found a suite that was more suitable for us. That was a great start to an awesome vacation. The rooms were clean and comfortable, including the sleeper sofa!! We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone. Great mountain views as well!

Review 20:Housekeeping could have been a little better with vacuuming each day.

Review 21:Staff was very friendly and personable. Had great tips on local attractions and places to eat!! Breakfast was amazing! We loved the omelet bar.Pool was also great.

Review 22:Nothing was bad about our stay

Review 23:Everything compared to the Marriott Courtyard in Denver the night before.. The staff, the room size, the view, everything!

Review 24:The train that runs all night long! For a light sleeper this was bad. Also breakfast was not great, no better then the food I sever at the grade school I work at but at least we serve it hot!!

Review 25:the location was great!!

Review 26:Breakfast was good, but I'd like to have more of a selection.

Review 27:The staff was absolutely wonderful. We travel frequently, this staff was hands down the best group we have encountered.

Review 28:We really enjoyed our stay. We were dropping off our son to the Air Force Academy for In-processing. The location was convenient for multiple trips back and forth to the Air Force Academy. Easy access to the interstate and frontage roads a plus.

Review 29:We were exhausted after driving all day from Flagstaff. We were making our way back to Kansas after visiting the Grand Canyon and wanted to take in a bit of mountain country before heading back to the flat lands. We drove through a terrible rainstorm and were so relieved to find the Hyatt House. Emily was waiting for us at the front desk. She was so nice as she explained that a computer error had permitted us to make a reservation for a room that was not available. She was very sincere and it was obvious that she felt our pain. She paid for a room at what she hoped would be a comparable hotel. The only thing she could find was in an expensive place with a very unfriendly staff. Emily assured us that if we wanted to return for our second night's reservation, to let her know. We did and we were so glad; we finally got the rest we so desired. We want to go back just to spend a long weekend at the Hyatt House.

Review 30:Hard to tell where to pull into the parkinglot.

Review 31:Very comfy and clean. Staff was excellent, and the breakfast was very good. Pool area was very inviting.

Review 32:The pool is a little small; a small group of teenage boys arrived and took up the whole pool and we just had to leave. The night desk person was not friendly or fast. Pool area had no towels for a long time one evening. Wished the kitchen had an oven.

Review 33:Nice pool area, liked that it was secluded in a courtyard area. Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious and hotel is nicely decorated. The day staff was very helpful when we needed any help. The breakfast is good, especially the custom made omelets.

Review 34:Our room was 201. We were excited it was near the end of the hall but very quickly regretted the location because it was directly across from the housekeeping staff which were very noisy letting the door slam and greeting each other at 7:45 am each day. Breakfast looked good with lots of selections but didn't taste as good as it looked, and often ran out of items the 3 mornings we ate. Staff looked very busy though.

Review 35:Big room , breakfast included, laundry facilities and gym! Friendly and helpful staff!

Review 36:Front desk help argued with me about room rate and never apologized when they knew they were wrong. Never experienced such silliness at a hotel. Internet was OK once I had to call and have them fix. Seemed to be a low priority. I am thinking they hate weekend guests, as they serve business customers. Will never ever remotely consider this property again.

Review 37:Comfortable bed, clean, nice room amenities

Review 38:The lady that completed our check in started our stay at this location off in a bad way. She seemed rude towards me and the staff member that was standing next to her. Really don't know why. I felt like I had messed her day up by showing up. We also experienced an issue with our TV and channels, my husband called the front desk they indicated that they would look into it and call us back, well we never did hear back.

Review 39:Like the room set up and the availability of a full sized refrigerator.

Review 40:The hotel entrance is a little confusing and there isn't even aslanted curb to haul your suitcase in along with no covered entrance todrive up and register.

Review 41:The bed was the best bed we've ever slept in and we travel a lot.And it was like a little apartment. Had pretty much a full bar inlobby. Loved it.

Review 42:It was great that the kids could stay on the Living room while mom & dad could relax in the bedroom. TV in both rooms, even a DVD player in the living room. Nicely appointed kitchenette. Good size bathroom. Nicely decorated.

Review 43:The hotel was sold out and it seemed the staff couldn't keep up with the breakfast for that many people. Constantly running out of everything (coffee, cream, syrup, eggs, fruit, juice, etc). Also, it was hard to find a place to sit and eat. We ended up sitting at the bar that was closed to eat breakfast and then ended up going out to eat on the weekend.

Review 44:We had a great stay at Hyatt House and were very comfortable. Staff was friendly and room was clean.

Review 45:The hotel has been newly remodeled and is clean and very comfortable. It is wonderful to have the kitchen so you have the option to make your meals if you prefer. The breakfast that is included with the stay was delicious and has great choices. The hotel is right off of the beautiful bike path that takes you along the river or take the spur path to the Garden of the Gods. Perfect stay!

Review 46:kitchen is too small. Faucet spout in the bathroom is too short for a deep sink, water is like a sprinkle if you don't use a cup you can't wash your face or mouth really well.

Review 47:the location is easy access wherever you go

Review 48:There were some random loud noises at night that woke us up 2 nights in a row

Review 49:The staff at the front desk was always very helpful, and would get us what we needed very promptly

Review 50:There were 3 adults and a 12 year old. The room we were given had a kingbed and a sofa bed. We switched to a room with two double beds and asofa bed. Not the best sleeping for the sofa bed group. Also, my creditcard was charged three times. So far I have had one removed from mycredit card, but still working on the other one. It appears that we werecharged for days we were not there. Booked through Booking.com, so notsure why the hotel even billed me.

Review 51:Large clean rooms.

Review 52:Breakfast wasn't that good and we could hear the gutters until midnight one night thank goodness it didn't rain hard all night.

Review 53:Rooms were great and they have a nice pool/hot tub. Very friendly staff members.

Review 54:We had one issue with the fact that the room was advertised as having 2 pull out beds but there was actually only one in the room. Booking.com staff were very helpful in assisting us with this discrepancy. The room was adjacent to a train track but the double glazing muffled most of the noise. The Air Conditioning made more noise than the trains and was more of an inconvenience to us.

Review 55:The staff were very friendly to us and enthusiastic to help. The room was clean enough, spacious with a well equipped kitchenette. The outdoor pool was a pleasant addition and overall we enjoyed our stay.

Review 56:Hotel front desk downgraded to Queen Suite from King Suite - and lied that it was a King Suite. When confronting manager - she stated since we are Booking.com customer and Memorial Day Weekend Hyatt customers get preference.

Review 57:Average

Review 58:I loved the pillow top mattress that was triple sheeted. The King suite was perfect with a bed for me and my husband and the couch for my son. I had the Italian wrap and a beer at the lobby bar. It was delicious and convenient as I was tired. The price was also very reasonable. The manager was very visable and friendly. The staff at the desk were a big help. The laundromat was clean and was only a dollar to wash and $1.00 to dry. A one load box of soap was available in the little store next to the front desk. The room was lovely and clean. I did not use the pool or hot tub as it was pouring down rain, but they looked nice from my garden view window. I will come back.

Review 59:The room I booked was supposed to have a mountain view. Instead, it was next to a very noisy train track. When I complained to management, I was told they were sold out. I checked out the following day and went to Garden of the Gods Resort for $40 more I had an incredible, quiet room with the best view in the area! Very disapponted in the Hyatt room - and thrilled with the Garden of the Gods Resort!

Review 60:A convenient location

Review 61:Day 2 breakfast was poor with no omelet lady and ham. Coffee (Seattle's Best) was terrible both days. Room had a funny scent. Coffee maker in the room had a old (user) filter in the basket. TV was older but worked fine. Didn't realize this was a pet friendly hotel.

Review 62:Bed was comfortable. Breakfast on day 1 was good with the omelet lady and sausage.

Review 63:The bed was very uncomfortable. And the trash was not emptied the entire stay. We had to take it out. The breakfast was not good at all.

Review 64:The living space in this room.

Review 65:The breakfast choices weren't great and really redundant. It would have been nice to have a decent cup of coffee with more variety.

Review 66:The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was awesome for preparing quick meals, and the staff was great. They were still finishing up construction while we were there and the staff was very helpful in accomadating us with some of the inconveniences.

Review 67:The sign that shows you where to turn into the hotel isn't lit up so it's very hard to find. I would like to see you put a bigger or a lit sign there to be able to find it at night.

Review 68:It didn't matter when or what I needed, everyone there was more than happy to help. They treated my grandson with such friendliness and caring attitude.

Review 69:1 and only problem.... Toilette ran intermittently throughout the night. A simple annoyance.

Review 70:Friendly staff, more than comfortable room, updated "tech", would be more then what's needed for an extended stay. It was clean and well maintained.

Review 71:Hot breakfast was barely warm both days. Bathroom in business center had NO toilet paper and paper towels overflowed from trash to floor. We were told construction was complete--not. We had a refurbished room and the paint on cabinets and doors was soft and peeling. Told management and not much response except they were aware of the issue.

Review 72:Nice Room/Bathroom

Review 73:The only negative would be the current remodeling but I have no doubts this will only improve your stay after it is complete!

Review 74:This was the best value in the area by far. Great for budget travelers. Full kitchenette saves LOTS on food expense when you cook most meals in room. Allowed money to be spent elsewhere. Great Location! Easy access to highways in any direction.

Review 75:Add on booking.com was erroneous when describing the room. I.e., the description said 2 sofa sleepers when only one existed. Also the fact that it was under construction could have been more up front instead of virtually at the end when actually reserving the room.

Review 76:The mattress was acceptable but was not the most comfortable mattress I have enjoyed in a hotel.

Review 77:The suite option was wonderful. It was so clean and the staff was so accommodating.

Review 78:Hotel was under construction so it was pretty confusing and time consuming to check in our family. Their paper work was scattered and technology seemed ancient. Wish we would have known prior to booking. The gentleman who checked us in seemed to be running the whole show- phone, checkin and housekeeping etc he seemed too scattered to focus on one thing with excellence.

Review 79:I loved the location. Close to freeway and many quality restaurants. The room was nicely updated, loved the newer amenities. Grateful for the hot breakfast that was included.

Review 80:The hotel location makes it a perfect choice and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. The rooms are clean and well maintain. The cleaning people are so nice and will do their job very good. It is a great place to stay in Colorado Springs .

Review 81:Staff friendly, attentive and couteous. Location is safe and very convenient. Facilities undergoing a remodel so adequate but not great at present. Room was very nice and kitchen was well ser up.

Review 82:My husband and I and our two young daughters stayed at Hyatt House for 5 nights while we were looking for a new home due to a military move. After driving all the way from Los Angeles, it was nice to be able to relax in a hotel that had a lot of home amenities. We were able to cook dinner and keep our daughters on their normal schedule. The staff was awesome, the breakfast was ample and had a variety of foods, and the location was wonderful, albeit a bit far from Ft. Carson. Would definitely stay here again!

Review 83:Courtesy of staff; excellent breakfast; cozy sitting area apart from bedroom; nice kitchen; QUIET!!!; close proximity to I-25, grocery store; shopping; restaurants

Review 84:I could hear a lot of of hallway and hotel noise in the first room I was in. It was also a smoking room and smelled very much like smoke. With a move to a second room, everything was great. Much quieter and no smoky smell. Beds were good but not great. Wi-Fi was average.

Review 85:Staff was extremely accommodating, friendly, and professional.

Review 86:The rooms were not sound proof whatsoever, doors slamming, folks talking in the hall, the trains, we heard it all. The breakfast was fair Tuesday thru Friday, Saturday was the best. The breakfast lobby was also packed our whole stay.

Review 87:Location was perfect, close to local attractions. Clean rooms. Very friendly staff.

Review 88:The carpet needs changing half of the lamps didn't work .took forever for the hot water to arrive. And very poor drainage.

Review 89:The staff was impeccable

Review 90:No hairdryer, no sofa bedding (had to ask twice for both) and sofa bed was very uncomfortable-not sleep-able. There was not a mattress cover over the mattress which is gross, all floor surfaces were sticky and TV in LR did not get all the programmed channels and picture went in and out on other channels. Found a set of housekeeping keys on the bedroom floor (turned into the front desk after check in). All vents and ceiling were covered in dust. No hot water in either the bathroom sink and kitchen. We left a day early do to these issues and did not feel comfortable staying in this hotel. During checkout, front desk could not find me in house reservation or anyone listed in the room I was staying. Checkout took 20 minutes and I had to call two days after I departed to clear up being charged $175 more than what my folio stated.

Review 91:Location Staff was friendly but seemed clueless to checking people in and out. I understand they have a new system in play but not being educated to it made check in long.

Review 92:The pipes were super noisy all night long and the hotel is right next to the rail road tracks. the location is not near anything

Review 93:Loved the super nice staff. The room was very nice and clean.

Review 94:1. No value for money, we could have stayed at a lesser brand hotel, with much more value for what we paid 2. Quality of service was poor. Hardly any staff around 3. Had to repeatedly request to replenish the breakfast and the staff didn't seem interested at all

Review 95:1. Clean rooms 2. Located very close to i-25, so its an easy way in and out

Review 96:We felt restricted when it came to getting air into the unit. the AC was not working properly so we tried to open the window to get air but the window had a 6 inch lock on it and we couldn't open the window all the way and made getting any air in impossible. so we couldent enjoy the fresh mountain air in our unit. The pictures online make the living room and kitchen combo rooms look very big and when you get to the room they are really small. so you instantly feel dis-appointed in room size and that reflect directly in the price. so you feel kinda bamboozled. the Breakfast bar unless you get there right when it starts , is horribly wrong, there's a hotel full of ppl and enough places to eat for about 10 small groups. if you can get to the food before everyone else ya might get something good,,but we stayed 3 nights and tried to eat 2 of the 3 with very failed results,,ending us up hungry and unfed properly. with 3 kids thats not good. so our last day there, the pool had feces in it, there were no towels so we called the front desk , left msg and over 2 hrs later there were still no towels when we went back down, the hot tub water level was down past the side skimmers, and just totally ruined our last chance to relax. between getting no fresh air in because of the window restrictions. and the breakfast, and train. i dont feel this was a good place to stay , we almost came home more stressed out and tired then when we left and alot of that had to do with the above.

Review 97:The Staff #1 was very nice and welcoming, they were really helpful when we needed them. The bed was comfy. The Kitchen Was well stocked with what we needed. The pool area was nice.

Review 98:Maid service--no replenishing of toiletries during stay, had to ask for enough towels for 3 adults Lots of kids running around--a little noisy, but quieted down in the evening. Had a east facing window, 100 feet from heavily traveled railroad tracks. Excellent sound insulation made reduced the train noise to a low rumble, but if you're sensitive to this type of noise, ask for a room facing another direction.

Review 99:Location Free breakfast and wireless Helpful/pleasant staff Frig/microwave/dishwasher

Review 100:n/a

Review 101:The staff was very courteous and very professional

Review 102:Dynamite place to stay. Military friendly and a decent breakfast.

Review 103:Can be tricky to find in the dark Next to a Railway which can be noisy if facing it.

Review 104:Hotel itself excellent. Staff excellent Rooms very very nice

Review 105:Close to railroad tracks

Review 106:The staff was very friendly, loved our room, pool, and hot tub. We would stay here again.

Review 107:Best hotel we have ever stayed at and we travel at least twice a year.

Review 108:Main TV did not work at all and one in the bedroom had fuzzy reception.

Review 109:Friendly staff. Better than average breakfast choices.

Review 110:The breakfast was very good. Everything was fresh made and the breakfast area was clean and organized.

Review 111:noisy between rooms( up and down floor)

Review 112:Breakfast was great! Cleaning crews were great!

Review 113:Clean friendly staff Wonderful !

Review 114:They missed cleaning my room one day. Poor service

Review 115:Nice location and clean. Price is high for what you get.

Review 116:Reception staff didn't know about any near by restaurants!!!

Review 117:Rooms comfortable

Review 118:Room was not ready in timely fashion. Reservation screwed up twice. Beds very hard.

Review 119:The breakfast was great with many options.

Review 120:None

Review 121:Location and staff

Review 122:Nothing bad to report, great stay!

Review 123:Beautiful, modern rooms, above average free breakfast buffet, super clean, friendly staff, close to attractions.

Review 124:Great hotel. Easy access to the I 25 from where you can travel anywhere fast. Friendly personal and the place is really quite.

Review 125:the high speed wifi was not.

Review 126:staff very accommodating and friendly
