Reviews for CasaBlanca Hotel and Casino
Review 1:Felt the pillows were a bit small. Shower curtain was a pain as it kept blowing in to the shower when trying to use it. Central air would have been quieter than the current window unit.
Review 2:Affordable, clean, generally quiet. Good prices and good food at restaurant. Good location with decent parking.
Review 3:The food at Kathrines was overpriced, especially for the quality. Just got two appetizers and didn't finish either of the dishes.
Review 4:A very relaxing stay! Everyone seemed like they were making money on slots. Got drinks fast. The coffee and ice cream shop were nice to have right there, and both great! Wish we could have had time to try the Chinese resteraunt!
Review 5:The beds had a memory foam topper. If you are a fan of them, you will love it. I'm not. I like a firm matress.
Review 6:The breakfast buffet was great! As for the room, it was spacious with 2 queen beds.
Review 7:Too far to walk to door with our luggage Only one entrance No signs for what floor was lobby so got confused had ti ask someone his do get out Buffet was closed for breakfast
Review 8:Location Price Pool was so nice wish had indoor hot tub
Review 9:Could have had a better ventilation system, because it was a lot smokier than I remember from the past.
Review 10:The bathrooms in the casino were so well maintained. There was a worker in there that kept everything spotless and smelling great. Have to say it was the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen.
Review 11:Lacks decent on-site restaurants. Lacks covered parking (important during summer trips).
Review 12:Less congested than Vegas and better value. Perfect location for my trips from AZ to CO.
Review 13:OUTDATED room. Long walk to get to room. An entrance near the parking lot for over sized vehicles would have been nice.
Review 14:Convenience, price, food and service at the restaurant was good.
Review 15:The bed and pillows could be more comfortable. Would be very pleased to see you also offer king size bed choice.
Review 16:Your staff is the best. The valet and bellhop service, the front desk and the waiters were all awesome.
Review 17:I've stayed at the CasaBlanca almost yearly on business and leisure travel over the past 10 years. This property has been well maintained and even upgraded over that period. Restaurant and cafe are a bonus to a quality, affordable hotel.
Review 18:Katherine'so fine dining included an extra guest at our table for 4, a cockroach! The maitre'd made it right, but there was still that icky factor. We were there celebrating 2 anniversaries, what a gift! We also had pre-purchasedone tickets to a concert held at Casablanca. Our tickets were supposed to be at willcall, but it turned into don't call! Could not find our tickets, staff was rude and condescending. Barely got seats, as it is general admission. Crazy anniversaries for sure!
Review 19:Super comfortable beds! Registration staff were great! Fantastic Mimosa buffet for brunch, so reasonable! Spa services and staff outstanding! Online golf reservations leave a lot to be desired, made tee time and paid for 18 holes, but the course has early closing time, barely enough time for 9 holes. Nice course and good pricing, though!
Review 20:I had a hard time my husbund hurt his back and I was looking for someone to help me ,i needed a weel chair and they didn't have one ,I went to security and finally I got someone to get me a weel chair, here I was with a heavy bag and my husbund in alot of pain and could not get anyone to help me , I will never go back make sure that you are in great shape because it would be a problem if you need help
Review 21:nothing I willnot go back
Review 22:So house keeping is doing great. However I think it may be time for a deep clean. I work in a hotel so I get it. My bathroom door had some stuff on it not too noticeable but it's there and a couple of spots on the wall too. I'm not really complaining just a suggestion
Review 23:Costumer service was great the rooms were nice and mostly clean.
Review 24:THE PIZZA PLACE IN THE CANSINO IT WAS POORLY RUN AND THE PIZZA WAS BURNT AND THEY WERE SERVING IT WITH NO SAUCE.
Review 25:EVERYTHING THE STAFF WERE GREAT AND THE PLACE IS VERY WELL RUN
Review 26:Horrible experience at the hotel café. Chicken was too tough to chew, then ordered a new meal and had a hair in my salad and my pasta. Also our room needed to be painted- 3ft scratches on walls.
Review 27:The hostess and bell hops were very friendly.
Review 28:My family and I stayed twice in one week; on the way to California and the way back. The first stay on October 3, 2015 was fine; the staff at the front desk could smile at the customers. The security team was very helpful in opening both of the safes in our rooms. The stay on the way home was horrible. We stayed October 10, 2015. The front desk person was not friendly; it was midnight when we arrived and I felt as if I was interrupting something she was doing. (I was the only guest at the desk.) Then I requested that the valet lend us a luggage rack to get our luggage from our car to our room. We were a group of 3 adults and 5 children, (the children were all asleep) and eight pieces of luggage. I was told that the cart was needed to be kept for all of the needs of the hundreds of other guests at the hotel. As I said, we were the ONLY guests at that time and a cart would have been a blessing for us. Unacceptable service. I had rented two rooms for our group and as we entered one of the rooms, there was a very large wet spot near one of the beds. I walked through that spot each time I went by the bed. The following morning at check out, I did bring up my issues with the front desk clerk. She was very pleasant as I explained the problems I had the previous evening/morning. She explained to me the policy regarding the luggage cart; I still believe that we could've used it to make our move from car to room easier. She was able to give me a 10% discount which was something. I am so sad that I felt as though my business mattered very little to the hotel. This may very well be true, but my little amount of business will not be given to the Casa Blance Hotel.
Review 29:The hotel is beautiful outside and the location to I-15 is ideal.
Review 30:Smoke odor as you enter. Breakfast arrangement. Felt areas were dark and place needed to be redecorated and updated
Review 31:Katherine's kitchen Wonderful meal, service and ambiance. Loved the lighted menus
Review 32:The place is tired. We have stayed here several times in the last 15 years, but not for the last two years. We heard it was renovated, but only new TVs and mattesses. It's a start.
Review 33:A good stopping spot on our journey.
Review 34:There was no shower head per say, it just sprayed out the water and wasn't too attractive. The remote to the tv didn't work from the head of the bed but only if you got real close to it, tv could be updated too. Also, no bathroom fan.
Review 35:Beds and pillows were comfortable, pool and hot tub were awesome and overall a great stay with just a couple of things to improve on.
Review 36:I really didn't like having to walk through the Casino to check in or go to the room. The smoke was terrible and hard on the asthma. A separate entrance would have been better. Also we had a room on a non smoking floor and it smelled almost as bad as the casino. I doubt if I'll ever come back.
Review 37:I really liked how clean the room was. The valet parking was really nice and everyone was very helpful.
Review 38:Had to leave my room for coffee each morning. TV channel lineup was so so. Cigarette smoke in casino areas. Coffee shop breakfast was good but too big. (wasteful)
Review 39:I am a coffee person. So, with no provision for coffee in my room, I was able to find it downstairs. Food quality and selection (at buffet) was good.
Review 40:Unfortunately my rent-a-car was side swiped in the parking lot and I contacted the security people to see if they could pin point the car that did it. Steve was the officer I worked with and while he was very helpful the monitor cameras were unable to clearly catch the driver who hit me.
Review 41:Loved my room. It was extremely clean and having the small frig was a big advantage. The hair dryer did not work but I brought my own so that was not a problem. Had a great time in the casino and loved the food in the café as well as Katherine's. The staff at the front desk (Shawn) and housekeeping staff was great. I will definitely be back!!!!!!!!
Review 42:The shower is horrible, the shower head sprays. The shower curtain, the rode should be up dated, to feel like you have more room. With no light in the shower and the dark curtain I had to leave it half open to see to shave.
Review 43:The beds are very comfortable.
Review 44:room was too hot on the west side of the building and the air conditioning couldn't keep up.
Review 45:Casaplaooza rocked! Band was out by the pool, the place was packed and it was so much fun. Yellow brick road was awesome!!
Review 46:Just one minor annoyance: We ate all our meals at the property, but a young cashier was rather condescending about us charging a $15 tab to our room although I had a room key and a player's card to show her. Also, the slots were very stingy!
Review 47:The room, the deal, the bathroom shower, the swimming pool, the coffee shop, the wait staff.
Review 48:Beds were comfortable. The pool area was beautiful! Grand-kids loved that. For us, the Mango Mojitos were awesome! Everyone was so nice. Very affordable. Definitely would go again.
Review 49:In the middle of nowhere. Outside parking is hot in the car and contents.
Review 50:Good food and resonable priced. Easy to get to showroom. Cocktail girls are always around. Just big enough casino!
Review 51:The bed was hard overall. Also, the first stay on 9/16/15 I requested a room closer to ground level but was put on the 6th level. Housekeeping was very helpful with extra towels, etc.
Review 52:I loved the pool, employees, and especially the gambling!!!!
Review 53:we enjoyed our stay here the room was great As was the entire staff Since the property is also a casino what more can you ask for if you want to partake in a couple of games of chance
Review 54:They put us on the 8th floor about half a mile from the elevator. Most employees were very rude. Would not stay there again. The casino was very smokey.
Review 55:Would have stayed longer, but we and many other folks felt the place is much too cold. So, next time we will have a sweatshirt or something, to put on.
Review 56:Just about everything was great. Would definitely stay there again.
Review 57:The shower was just horrible, it was dark and very old feeling. Pillows were old and the beds were hard. Casino was pretty stingy.
Review 58:The resort is very nice....the grounds are kept up well. The room was clean.
Review 59:Front desk clerk did not tell us that we would not have water from 4am-8am until AFTER we payed. At 4am when the water was shut off the fire alarm went off for 5 min. This happenes throughout the night. Water was back on around 9 but by that time we didnt have time to shower. We should not have had to pay full price for this experience. Poor service.
Review 60:A/C very loud and would go on & off too frequently: would run loudly for about 2-3 minutes, then shut off for 70-75 seconds ( I timed it!), then come back on with a roar. Felt like we were constantly being blasted awake. However, it did keep room cool. Also, heavy dust on lamps.
Review 61:beds were very comfortable, except my mattress cover kept bunching up. Nice pillows, sheets proper size for bed. Easy exit off fwy and easy entrances onto main street to town & other casinos. Very nice valet service & 24hr cafe. Large casino with newest games!
Review 62:I visit here a few times a year. The atmosphere is very relaxed and affordable. The pool is incredible. I'm from Vegas and I tell my out of town friends to go to Mesquite. Las Vegas had become so expensive and crowded. Please don't change.
Review 63:Had difficulty with front desk personal in discussing room rates that were reserved Could not use a cart to haul equipment to room Bell hop wouldn't let me
Review 64:Even though it was a non-smoking room it still had the smell of smoke. The pool closed at 9:00pm, my room was all the way at the end of the hall way with only one elevator at the other end, same with the ice machine. Need to have non-smoking areas on the casino floor.
Review 65:the parking manager, at check in, not his help but him. was very rude, treated us like second class people when we all rode up on motorcycles, wouldn't let us stop under the roof covered area in the shade, screamed at us to move out, 106 degrees in the sun. pissed the wife's off , and made a scene
Review 66:my group had a great time in casino, the buffet was awesome and the staff there was great, the breakfast café was also awesome.
Review 67:the reception staff is barely friendly
Review 68:Breakfast not included but possibility to take it at the restaurant of the hotel (NOT expensive in regard with the quantities)
Review 69:The front desk staff were not very friendly. I couldn't read the "agreement" on the little screen, and the girl informed me that she couldn't print it out until I signed it. I told her that I don't sign things I haven't read, and she rolled her eyes at me and huffed. I thought she was rude.
Review 70:Katherines steakhouse server Ninem was a joke. He's on a different planet.
Review 71:Pool was fabulous! Room was perfect. Front desk great. Valet great. Maids need to clean bathrooms better before guests arrive.
Review 72:The antiquated room A/C was extremely noisy. It cooled the room, but made a good nights rest impossible..
Review 73:Easy to get to. Reasonable price for the room. We ate one meal there. The service was good, but the meal was mediocre.
Review 74:The machines were extremely tight. Wasn't even fun to be in the casino. The food in the buffet wasn't the greatest. The selection was poor. Some of the food was either over cooked or just didn't taste good.
Review 75:The room was clean and the beds were OK.
Review 76:Pretty bad we had to use the cups in the bathroom to catch roaches. So we left them under cups so the maids could see. We won't return there.
Review 77:They had a good band playing next to the bar.
Review 78:Cockroaches!!! Several cockroaches running through our rooms- and twoflipped on their backs dead when we woke up. Yes, we were in the firstfloor, but nevertheless- not acceptable whatsoever. When we brought itto managements attention, we were told that their facility "neverhas and never will have cockroaches" and yet, when I warned ourhousekeeper about that there was a live one trapped in an upside-downcup in the bathroom, she didn't seem surprised or fazed by it atall. The Casablanca used to be a very nice place. With some upkeep, andpest control they could get it back. But I was not at all impressedduring our stay. I was very disappointed.
Review 79:The pool is awesome for kids. They have a waterfall and fun littlewater slide.
Review 80:The rooms are dated, the tv was old big box, long, long walk from elevator to rooms
Review 81:The location, the pool area and the seafood buffet. The staff friendly and helpful and hotel well kept and clean.
Review 82:Bed was uncomfortable
Review 83:When we got there they said they had no more no smoking rooms because the company overbooked so I said no I'm not sleeping in a smoking and ended up in a suite so that was nice they upgraded us.
Review 84:Our room ended up being on the other end of the floor so we had to travel quit a bit of distance to the ice maker or elevators.
Review 85:The pool was open until 9pm
Review 86:Losing money gambling.. Machine odds not a good time
Review 87:Loved the room..bed was wonderful..great view..casino play not so good..great Cobb salad Staff great... Hotel staff great! Great Pool!
Review 88:staff not helpful at all strong smell of cigarette smoke in all rooms including non smoking (from the casino) definitely not a 4star resort
Review 89:location and price
Review 90:Dated Rooms, beds and pillows not comfortable. Showers and bathrooms were not that great.
Review 91:Most amenities of any hotel in the area. Nice Pool, Casino, Grounds. Staff, Bartenders, Security were all very friendly and interacted with us and made us feel welcome.
Review 92:The beds were a little hard but that was minor with everything else that was great!
Review 93:The staff, pool, everything was great! I would go back there in a second! I will be staying there again!! And can't wait to go back!!
Review 94:Staff not very accommodating, no information about amenities, no greeting. Very dry welcome. Pool opening hours could be much longer during summer season. Fitness room very poorly equipped. This property should get no more than 3 stars.
Review 95:Pool area. Price.
Review 96:Showroom and buffet were closed when we tried to attend.
Review 97:The spa, my first time for a massage. Experience was great and they gave 15% discount as a local from Vegas
Review 98:Refrigerator didnt work. There is only one elevator and i was all the way on the opposite side of the building so when getting off the elevator i had to walk very far to reach the room. Some staff were helpful, others said "i dont know" and walked away when i asked a question.
Review 99:Clean rooms with comfortable beds.
Review 100:Got sent away from the downstairs gambling area with my infant, even though we were just walking around (slot machines are everywhere). In Vegas they let you just wander around, as long as you don't sit behind a machine. Too strict.
Review 101:Everything was there what we needed
Review 102:Typical casino smoke smell, room was ok, but not very clean. I ended up with spider bites in the morning.
Review 103:Pool and outside area; Cafe was had very good food.
Review 104:If not interested in Casinos or for families with young kids, it is unfortunate, that you have to enter the Casino area to check-in, check-out or go the pools.
Review 105:This is a very cheap opportunity (at least when we booked it) to stay close to Las Vegas, especially when passing by this town on the way. The rooms were perfectly fine and clean. The hotel has a huge pool area, including a whirl-pool, water slide, fountains and even a sauna and spa (the sauna and spa is not included) and perfect for families with kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful too, we had to make several phone calls and their patience was not running thin even after the third call from the reception phone.
Review 106:Everything was a little dated but for the price it wss just fine.
Review 107:I loved the pool and the surrounding landscape. Very relaxing and not over crowded. The other guests seemed chill and friendly unlike the Vegas vibe.
Review 108:We love the pool! and also the restaurants there! It is always a fantastic place to stay, I love that there is also a volleyball court near the pool and it is a very family friendly environment.
Review 109:Valet guy was NOT courteous if you didn't get in the right spot. He could have definitely tried to be some what helpful. Also wish that you could have more direct access to your room when forced to park in far parking lot.
Review 110:Location and price
Review 111:The non smoking floor didn't smell like smoke, a waiter in the cafe, "Renoldo", is one of the best I have ever come a crossed. We didn't need to ask for anything after our main order. He even let us know that he was going to his break, and who will be waiting on us in his absence. Outstanding!!!
Review 112:Way to smoke. Even at the pool our brief visit was spoiled by smokers. Really need to provide a non-smoking area at pool & in the Casino. Shower needed lighting-way to dark.
Review 113:. Good value for the money.
Review 114:The room could of been cleaner there were moths in the corners where the table was and around the lamps
Review 115:The room was nice! And the pool was excellent! I loved how clean the enviroment was! The casino was great! The coffee was so nice to just be downstairs! I loved the pool and the spa!
Review 116:When I checked in the front desk person really didn't say much, got to our room and the bathroom door didn't lock ( We had a 7yr old with us, they don't really knock when needing the bathroom) The shower head was spraying all over the place and the water pressure was miserable. When checking out they told me my total gave me a receipt that was it. On our way home stopped to gas (we were on E) my card was declined 3 times, I checked my balance and the hotel was holding 50$ more then what I was told, when I called the hotel she told me there was a 50$ hold for couple days that NO one told me about checking in or checking out and I was stranded. She kept trying to transfer me to a sup to release the money and I never got any where then she hung up on me ( that was not fun). There was lack of concern from hotel staff the entire time I was there.
Review 117:The hotel itself was great, pool, casino, shops all was very clean and had a good time.
Review 118:WiFi was advertised as free but it is NOT free. Your documents stated that $4.99 resort fee was to cover Wifi among other things. False advertising to state FREE when in reality we pay for it. You should be honest and state that Wifi is included NOT free. Check out too early. noon is better.
Review 119:No buffer during week. Cafe food was terrible. Ordered pork chop dinner. Baked potato had been sitting a long time in the kitchen . It was hard as a rock & dry. Stuffing was burnt and gummy,
Review 120:Free wifi. Nice bed. Valets were excellent. They were the best.
Review 121:Smell of smoke in casino. How my debit card was charged more than double. It's been 3 days and still you have my $. Deceiving advertising in my opinion.
Review 122:Dinner at your pasta steak joint.
Review 123:No self parking outside the check-in door only valet parking. If checking in with small children alone be prepared to have them walk a long way.
Review 124:Clean rooms, easy check-in, check in desk by the door so I did not have to walk through the casino with a 5 year old. Good coffee in coffee shop, hot chocolate for kids. $47 for a Tuesday night stay (good price).
Review 125:No coffee maker or fridge in the room.
Review 126:All the food was excellent, generous portions. Cocktails were large. All the staff were friendly and laughing. enjoying their jobs. There was a pool party with a live band at the time we went. That was a joy! the spa was fabulous! The fountains were lovely. It was a resort! Everything I needed was right there in the hotel, and if it wasnt - there was a store down the road!
Review 127:in the next morning a lady at the front desk needed an attitude change. the bathroom sink faucet needed attention. smoke in the casino. no live keno so we went some were else to gamble.
Review 128:our food server really hustled. he was so quick we did not get his name. we liked the pillows, they were just right. we were overall pleasantly happy.wo
Review 129:The man who checked us in was a little smug, the wifi was not very good, their was dust around the edges of the room to a few inches in.
Review 130:The bed was comfortable
Review 131:Had the longest hike to get to my room, the floor could have used a people mover. Not a huge issue except for all the gear I had to lug all that way. If you stay here and don't want a crazy long way to walk, try to get a room ending with low digits. Bed was so so at best.
Review 132:Clean and conveniently located. Coffee and ice cream shop located just off the lobby. very quiet considering this was a casino. Friendly staff.
Review 133:When I called for the spa they transferred me several times that I did not make an appointment The spa girls did not help either they transfered me back to registration.
Review 134:The front desk was awful, both checking in and checking out. Don't let the poor beginning ruin your time at the hotel itself. Get past the front desk as quick as you can and then relax and enjoy a lovely facility.
Review 135:Very comfortable rooms, clean, nice, useful amenities including free Wi-Fi, spa facilities particularly nice but pricey and not easily available.
Review 136:Room TV's need upgraded, no option for renting a movie. Pool closed at 6PM??? No Lounge act on Mondays. Food at the buffet and at the cafe was mediocre at best.
Review 137:The price is excellent. The staff was very friendly Housekeeping was responsive and friendly Loved the Ice Cream shop.
