Review 1：Breakfast selection of foods could have been more healthy.

Review 2：Good location, close to ferry to Macinac Island, with great view of Lake Huron and lovely shore line. Very friendly, helpful staff!

We were supposed to have one handicap room but did not have one. However they were able to accommodate with a ramp. The rooms were very spacious for one of the members to use an extra wide walker. The sunrises were amazing.

Review 19：VERY noisy; description of lakefront view led me to believe the room was actually facing the water, not a side view. Thank heaven we had no need to use the mini fridge or microwave, the odor from both were horrendous.

Review 23：Wifi never did connect, hot tub was small so it was difficult to get in if someone else got there first. Breakfast wasn't much: Small donuts, orange drink that tasted like Sunny-D. Cereal was sugar stuff that wasn't much good, toast.

So overall, terrible experience, and would not recommend. They need some serious help. This has been my families go to place for over 30 years and this is the worst We have ever seen it. We had a room on the lower level and there were big spots on the ceiling where water had been leaking from plumbing pipes and who in the world trims a room with carpet from the floor and runs it up the base of the wall seriously! The room had a very strong gross odor that about knocked you over coming in the door. We were not pleased and we will not recommend nor stay here again.

As other reviewers have noted, their breakfast isn't great, the rooms are outdated, and there are few t.v. channels to choose from. That said, the staff is nice and the rooms are clean. Also, I'm not sure what happened between Booking.com and the hotel, but they had no record of my reservation when I arrived, which is why I ended up in the wrong room. We booked a lakefront king room and ended up in a double "queen" which was really a double full that was smaller and didn't have the views we were promised.

Review 137：I called two weeks before our vacation and requested a lower level walk out because I have height issues and was told it would be no problem and she would put it in the computer right away....when we arrived we were informed we were on the third floor and could not be moved because all of the rooms were booked...strike one. We also asked if we should go into town to see the fireworks (it was the 4th of July) and the man checking us in said we could see them from the lawn or our balcony (remember the height issue!) so we opted for the lawn with many other families and couples from the motel only to find out that you could not see the fireworks from the lawn!!! we had to walk through the weeds to the water to see them needless to say there were some very sad kids on that lawn...strike two. Even though our issues were strictly with the staff there are many options in St. Ignace so next summer we will not be choosing K Royale.
