Reviews for Inn at the Shore

Review 1:We did not like that the one bed was a trundle/day bed. It was very difficult to make into a level bed so my husband slept on the top portion and I slept on the lower. My daughter and her husband had the other room. We thought that we were getting a queen size bed in each room. And we didn't find the bed pillows for that room until the day we left as they were in the other bedroom. We also didn't like that the bathrooms were joined together.

Review 2:The setting was wonderful...loved hearing and seeing the ocean every day from our balcony. And loved the fire place.

Review 3:For an ADA room, the ADA bathroom was not accessible from a wheelchair. Husband had to park the chair outside the door and use a walker to access it. Also, furniture and heat registers were in the way of some access. ADA parking far from room.

Review 4:View. Beds comfortable. Kitchen, fireplace...loved the suite as a whole.

Review 5:I took my girlfriend down for her birthday so we could have a nice quiet romantic stay on the Oregon Coast but that was failed by a hotel party that was being held above us and the front desk workers wouldn't do anything about it and said call the police .our stay was horrible and no management on site.

Review 6:The check in clerk was polite, but not very knowledgeable about the area, and didn't even know where we could get a map. We finally found a visitor center, and maybe the clerk could at least provide directions to it.

Review 7:The hotel was lovely...very clean and well kept.

Review 8:I planned to participate in online seminar, but due to poor internet connection was not able to do it.

Review 9:This is clean and nice hotel, friendly staff, and the location is super, right on the Promenade and near the ocean.

Review 10:Pillow shams had an old man odor, lacked iron and ironing board. Bed mattress flimsy. Not a big fan of sleeping in the same room where someone else's dog had slept.

Review 11:View, location and proximity to the beach was excellent. Room size, room decor and overall cleanliness was good.

Review 12:The room was overly warm despite the temp outside being in low 60s. There was a box fan, though. There should be a screen for the sliding door.

Review 13:Clean, comfortable, beautiful view, great location. Description was as promised. The deck facing the ocean was perfect.

Review 14:NIce 2 bdrm unit. In the south, quiet end of Seaside with other such older properties. Nice to have the promenade just outside to walk to "downtown" to restaurants. Liked having the frig and small kitchen. There is no elevator, so be prepared to go up a flight or two of stairs.

Review 15:Everything was wonderful. Amazing view of the ocean from our balcony. The staff was kind and made sure we had everything we could have needed. We will be back!

Review 16:My bed was great but the bed in the second bedroom was not as comfortable. The handicapped capable room was nice and roomy as was the main bath however, it is not a walk in shower. Its a step over tub with bench and railings.

Review 17:Great Place to stay and not bad for the money. We needed a condo type situation and the ability to make some of our own meals. This place was perfect for that and right on the beach!

Review 18:Add a comfortable chair and ottoman for readingC

Review 19:clean, comfortable...nice location at the south end of the promenade. Less foot traffic at this location, but still lovely views. Bit of a hike to downtown from here, but take it slow, enjoy the sea air, and create a great memory.

Review 20:Thin walls. Only matters if there's a crying baby in the next room

Review 21:Love that it's away from the crazy part of seaside but close enough to walk. Love the kitchenette and balcony

Review 22:We were 3 friends spending the weekend. One person needed to sleep on the hide-a-bed couch. Needs to be replaced! Very uncomfortable.

Review 23:Staff was wonderful.

Review 24:Outstanding location on very quiet side of Seaside and facing beach. Will definitely come back with extended family. Very comfy mattress and spacious room. Small kitchenette a plus.

Review 25:Location to the beach, room was nice and so was the staff! We appreciate the extras for the children, very sweet! We loved having a cold drink on our deck and watching the ocean!

Review 26:This was my favorite hotel on our trip up the west coast. Very clean, friendly front desk and was helpful with extra towels, a beautiful view, comfortable beds. Simply wonderful!

Review 27:No breakfast. No breakfast place nearby. No elevator. Not accustomed to carrying suitcases to 3rd floor

Review 28:Location near the beach is amazing. Room was very clean and maintained Bed was comfortable. Good cable and wifi. Loved the fireplace when the fog rolled in.

Review 29:The stuff was unfriendly, there was a sign "back in 5 minutes" and after waiting 15 minutes we called to finally be able to check in. The lady was kind of annoyed by our arrival.

Review 30:The location was nice, just close by the beach, but a few blocks from the "main" street

Review 31:Wished we had one of the balconies or one of the inner ground level suites. We were on the outer edge and felt exposed. Next time we will make a special request. We will return!

Review 32:Loved the location at the south end of the promenade - quiet.

Review 33:It would've been nice to have a pool for my daughter, but I wouldn't call that a "bad experience".

Review 34:Because the property is on the South end of the promenade, the beach wasn't very crowded even for the 4th of July! Beautiful views, nice room, and friendly staff!

Review 35:Found this online and didn't know what I was getting, but turned out to be wonderful. The location and bicycles will bring me back. The staff were so welcoming, truly an inn.

Review 36:Everything was great! No issues at all

Review 37:The view was awesome!! Within walking distance to the ocean, shops and restaurants. Free bike rental, movie rental and there is a pizza place that will deliver :)

Review 38:Location is near the beach, but too far to walk to town. Small parking lot,not a lot of spaces. No amenities to speak of,no pool, just a small motel, rooms that face the ocean may have a nice view, mine did not. Cable didn't work, problem with cable company, so not motels fault.

Review 39:Staff was friendly, room was clean, nothing special tho

Review 40:If you're on the 3rd floor like we were, be aware that there are no elevators... this wasn't a problem for us, but it could be for other people.

Review 41:The staff was friendly and helpful, the location is perfect for those who want to be on the Prom but don't want to be in the middle of the Seaside craziness, and the room was clean and comfortable. We had a room with a king bed, 2-person jacuzzi, fireplace, and ocean view, and for the price, it was a great deal. Great food options (Osprey Cafe, U Street Pub, and Select Market) are within easy walking distance, too.

Review 42:A full view of the ocean would have been nice but we were happy with a view from our side deck.

Review 43:The town has so much to do and we really liked being at the end of the beach away from all the foot traffic and noise. Our section of the beach felt much more peaceful and parking was easier to find so the location was perfect. It's just a short three minute walk down to the beach which was a plus and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Review 44:The inn is a little far from downtown though in some ways this is also a good thing. It is still right on the promenade. Also, while views of the beach were great it also felt like we could be watched by the beachgoers in our suite.

Review 45:The staff was very helpful and friendly. The section of beach in front of the inn was quieter than the area near downtown.

Review 46:At the quiet end of the prom, this place seemed more secluded and private yet close enough to the action if you're interested. Gorgeous view and the balcony was perfect for watching the ocean while enjoying your morning coffee.

Review 47:Jacuzzi bubble bath with bath salts was great, comfortable room with everything you need, attentive and friendly staff. Would come back and recommend to friends!

Review 48:The wifi connection wasn't very strong so if you reallly need it you might not always have a strong signal. We were on vacation and actually when outside I was able to sign on to the neighboring hotels wifi just fine :)

Review 49:This place was wonderful! My husband, son and I had a great time here. Everyone from the front desk, to the housekeeper, to the maintenance man was exceptional! We felt so at home! Wish we could've stayed longer than two nights. They even have bikes you can borrow to ride for free! They offer a library of movies, gave us extras of anything we asked, our fridge had an issue, not that big of a deal, but to them it was and was fixed immediately!!! Won't stay anywhere else now when we go to Seaside!

Review 50:This place made it easy to do about anything. It's about a mile away from all the main attractions.. Easy walk on the beach or trail along the beach! The place is well maintained and the kitchen with full dishes is a huge plus for people staying multiple nights.

Review 51:Maid service skipped us one day. We had to ask staff to call them. Parking lot was small/tight fitting. No one on duty at front desk until 9 am.

Review 52:The view, beach access, and the Jack & Jill bathrooms.

Review 53:Bed wasn't as comfortable, yet overall the room was very clean.

Review 54:Location was excellent- right on the shore without all of the crowds of Seaside. Great outdoor chairs to use to watch the surf.

Review 55:I have bad a back issue and getting the luggage up three floors was difficult with no elevator. Our refrigerator was very noisy and could not watch TV because of that.

Review 56:Staff was very nice and helpful. Great view, lots of room for four adults and three children.

Review 57:Loved our room! Had a nice view of the ocean even though it was not directly overlooking the beach. Liked the gas fireplace and mini kitchen. Was very comfortable!

Review 58:The office was closed between 9:00 PM and 9:00 AM.

Review 59:The hotel is right on the prominade within a reasonable walk to downtown but far enough distant not to be hampered by noise. Rooms on third floor with ocean view and view of Tillamook Head and beach.

Review 60:We could not find an elevator. As a 68 year old trying to lug suitcases up to the 3rd floor while the rain pelted down was more than difficult. Both my husband and I have bad knees and it was difficult trying to get our luggage to our rooms.

Review 61:The hotel staff and the customer service

Review 62:Not close to Broadway street. Had to drive.

Review 63:It is a beautiful view and a lovely room. We had a great time, the only real complaint is the balconies are really close together and there isn't a barrier in between. Privacy isn't there but the room is comfortable and clean. The jacuzzi tub was fantastic!

Review 64:First the staff leaves at 9pm so there was no one there in the evening if you have a problem. We were on the second floor and the people directly above us arrived around 10pm and partied till midnight. The acoustics were terrible ans no one to complain at the hotel unless you want to confront the noist people themselves. Then to make matters worse, the same people got up before 6am and sounded like a heard of elephants till they left. There must be no insulation in the walls. Nice place but we were there in spring. I can't imagine dealing with people till 2 or. 3am in the summer.

Review 65:The location and room was wonderful. Staff friendly.

Review 66:We couldn't log onto the wifi the password wouldn't work. The office closed at 9pm so there was nobody there when we came in and the parking lot was horrible.

Review 67:I love the location so close to the beach. The room was very clean also.

Review 68:An indoor Jacuzzi or pool would have made it excellent.

Review 69:2 bedrooms, kitchen for cooking, great view, outside shower to rinse muddy boots, friendly staff, abundant towels.

Review 70:The mattress and bedding were just tired. Updating to linens that give evidence of being fresh, crisp, and laundered after guest stays would be better. I didn't see icky things at all, but things just don't seem to be updated in the bedding dept.

Review 71:The view, the staff, the nice little kitchenette, with dishes, silverware, etc, the fireplace, great wi-fi reception, the apples at the front desk (healthier than the cookies some places offer, and really good ones!) great towels!

Review 72:Doors were heavy and neighboring residents allowed them to slam shut instead of manually, and quietly, closing them. A courtesy in shared close spaces not often applied by many hotel visitors.

Review 73:Even though the weather was wet and windy, the top floor room was warm and offered an excellent view. Surroundings were quiet, which we enjoyed even more on the last day of our long road trip.

Review 74:not enough electrical outlets, not much else

Review 75:We were pleased with the reception and accommodation to get us in earlier We enjoyed the view from our room 201 We loved the jacuzzi and the shower The wi-fi was excellent

Review 76:We were to have king bed. Service missed up and we ended up with, queen bed. TV in bedroom didn't work 1st night. People at front office did best they could to correct it.

Review 77:Long walks, nice view, very clean.

Review 78:They said these are the rooms you get when we book through booking .com instead of calling the hotel direct. We had 2 rooms and asked if we could have a lower unit since both my grandson who has a disabled permit and myself. When we pulled up they had a vacancy sign up still. She said they had no other rooms and this is what happens when using internet booking. They also have nobody to contact after six pm. Had problems with jazazzi and no one to call.

Review 79:Nothing!!!! No handicap!!!!

Review 80:There was no hook for the kitchen towel and it kept falling on the floor. Also, the bikes were lots of fun, but the seats were difficult to adjust. Rust is setting in!

Review 81:Perfect location with a great little kitchenette and everything we needed, bikes, movies, surf and sand!

Review 82:Went to talk to the person at the front Office about what we wanted, and she made no effect what so ever to try and see if she could do anything for us to stay for another week. She said this is what we have, love it or leave it, in no on certain tune of voice, was not very nice.!!!!!

Review 83:Little was a very nice clean room with in a nice area of the Beach, it had everything we needed .We liked it that much that we wanted to stay for a week.

Review 84:I did not like that we had a dirty wet towel hanging in the bathroom when we arrived. It was not as clean as you would think for a hotel.

Review 85:The ocean view in the bedroom was my favorite

Review 86:Although there is a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom we did not use it because the jets were in desperate need of cleaning.

Review 87:Beautiful view from ocean front rooms looking over the Promedade. The room was very cozy and comfortable. The front office staff were very pleasant.

Review 88:Noisy neighbor with kids on third floor and running on stairwell without parents paying attention.Bouncing a ball in the room.Children should maybe be on lower level.

Review 89:Ocean view and jetted tub

Review 90:We had to switch rooms the second night because booking.com did not let us know that is what we had to do. However, the hotel staff was very accommodating and moved our luggage for us.

Review 91:The office has very limited hours which isn't convenient especially if there is a problem or question.

Review 92:Location is good but right next to public beach access so it was a bit noisy.

Review 93:The toilet seemed to have an issue and never did flush correctly. By the time we checked in and discovered it, the office was closed. It was usable, it just kept backing up to the top before it would drain.

Review 94:We loved the proximity to the ocean, quiet, clean accommodations, and great location. Thank you!

Review 95:A perfect hideaway. A little off the beaten track so you don't have to deal with the busy downtown of Seaside, but close enough to enjoy it when you want. Nice sized and well appointed room.

Review 96:Wifi cut out for a couple hours, but seemed like this wasn't a recurring problem. The hotel is quite a ways down the boardwalk from the main town.

Review 97:The room was very nice, clean, and more spacious than your typical hotel room. They have a great selection of movies that can be watched on a player in the room. Wifi was generally quite good. Nice location right on the boardwalk. Staff were very friendly.

Review 98:Bed was a little hard for my liking.

Review 99:The room was very clean. The Jacuzzi Tub was very relaxing. The guidelines to use the tub and the epson salts were very nice. Wish we had more time to stay longer. It is at the end of the Promanode which made our morning walk into the town of Seaside very nice.

Review 100:The only thing i couldn't figure out was how to get the cable back on in the living room after watching a movie and i couldn't find an option for the vcr/dvd player in the room. But overall i had a great stay.

Review 101:I loved everything about this room! I love that one room had a balcony that also went to the living room! I had a lot of fun being there with my family i will definitely be going back again soon

Review 102:I only wish they had breakfast and it was a little closer to Broadway for the price.

Review 103:The bed was so comfortable and beach access was easy. There was still a beautiful walk down the promenade.

Review 104:Staff were unavailable most of the time. Front desk hours are from 9-6. We needed them at 7 AM. Bad.

Review 105:I loved the fireplace, and the mini balcony. Great location. Overall, a great place!

Review 106:Above and beyond service! I asked Jane at the front desk to place a surprise bottle of champagne in the fridge; instead it was on ice, displayed with a teddy bear and candies on the coffee table. Jane and I had fun setting up many surprises for my girlfriend, all leading up to me popping the big question. My soon-to-be wife and I will make this wonderful location an annual getaway. Excellent service, perfect location, comfortable rooms. Many memories were made thanks to the amenities and service of this hotel.

Review 107:Can't think of a thing we didn't like.

Review 108:The room was very comfortable. The flat screen tv was very clear which enabled us to watch the Seahawks win!! :) It was a nice walk down to town (about 3/4 mile) Close to restaurants and stores.

Review 109:We had a great room for the 5 of us with a view of the ocean and beach. Staff was very nice. Everything was clean - even the wifi was up to the challenge. It's located near a market & 2 small restaurants (within a 3 min walk).

Review 110:Walls were not sound proof, so we could hear the neighbors next to us and 2 doors down. It made it very difficult to sleep.

Review 111:Room was clean and very nice.

Review 112:Glad we brought our own coffee but a bonus to have a real coffeemaker instead of those tiny ones with the wretched little coffee discs!

Review 113:This place is a gem. Small hotel with nice ocean views, very clean and tastefully decorated. It was easy to move the sofa over in front of the sliding glass doors to enjoy morning coffee while watching the strollers on the Prom and the ocean scenery. Super off season price for a jacuzzi room and wonderful king bed.

Review 114:That I had to leave

Review 115:Jane in the front office is awesome. The room was just like home, it had everything you would need for a family night away from home. The ocean view was amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. (I already have..:o)

Review 116:Right near the beach, which my kids loved. Jane, the person in the front office, was very friendly and helpful. We loved that the beach was right in front of the hotel. There is a lovely cafe right on the next block. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to the Oregon coast.

Review 117:No elevator, our room was on the 3rd floor. Hard to walk up the stairs due to my hip, but made it up.

Review 118:I thought the room was warm and had a fire place, gas. It was also nice to have a microwave and bowls and cups and not the plastic kind. Liked that the office had movies to watch!

Review 119:Sent a msg through booking.com for an Ocean facing room was told that could be arranged but when we checked in the hotel said booking.com never talked to them. Didn't get what I was told I had

Review 120:Instead of the worry of pet on bed, they have a sheet marked pet. And 2 towels and water bowl, and food bowl. I think it makes you want to respect the room more than you normally would.

Review 121:The only drawback was a lack of breakfast or dinner options in the immediate neighborhood (there were a couple ,but they weren't open). Health but pleasant walk up the promenade to the town center, where there are tons of options. The hotel staff was very accommodating both at check-in and during our stay. Would stay here again.

Review 122:The room was very comfortable and well-appointed. When we opened the sliding door to our deck (with a couple of chairs and table), we could see the headland, quite a bit of surf and a sunny southern exposure. Since the weather was pretty decent for a fall visit, we walked along the promenade to breakfast each day and on the beach, too.

Review 123:Being downstairs close to public gravel driveway (end unit).

Review 124:I loved all the space! 2 baths, 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, fireplace, living room & dining room. Sliding doors & TV in master room. Nice decor. Beautiful.

Review 125:The beds were not the most comfortable but by no means a deal-breaker.

Review 126:The room was wonderful! Very clean and updated. Great location as we were steps to the beach. The staff was incredibly accommodating as we asked to check in early and they obliged. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Seaside!!

Review 127:Wish the fireplace didn't have a ticking timer that wouldn't let the fire remain on longer than (10 minutes?) The bench area in the grasses needs some extra care by the locals. The city can't keep up with the beer bottles, butts, and wrappers.

Review 128:Where it's located, there are grasses and low conifers, with benches 50 feet in from the promenade that is just below our window. Stunning, almost perfect. The room is painted in a seafoam green. All is updated. Jacuzzi bath: yum! King bed... ah!

Review 129:Only negative we could see right away was why aren't there screens on the balcony door? It was hot and needed to crack door. No pool but that wasn't our focus since we were not counting on weather.

Review 130:Great corner top room with beach view! Decorated comfortably "beachy." Cozy, clean and well stocked room. Great bed. Quiet establishment. Not too far down from promenade. Great for walks or bike ride. Great staff. Booking staff upgraded us after 3 weeks..made the trip especially nice with the engagement. Will book again next year!

Review 131:Shower - absolutely no water pressure. No AC, room was very hot, and would not cool down. No elevator to the 3rd floor

Review 132:Design Staff amenities bikes to use comfort of bed and pillows Able to rent DVD's Ocean view Kitchen and coffee maker & utensils Pet friendly SUPER clean close to the beach
