Reviews for GasLight Inn
Review 1:Very comfortable room in the historic section of downtown Glendale. Close to University of Phoenix Stadium (ten minute drive). Staff was amazing, breakfast was delicious and we will return.
Review 2:That I didn't stay longer?
Review 3:Everything from the very warm welcome, too the room it self. Made my night before my wedding very smooth and relaxing. Also was awesome for some best man and groom pictures!!! And oh before I forget the breakfast was like waking up t heaven!! Can't wait to come back thank you so much!
Review 4:Nothing
Review 5:The owner was very nice and very helpful. Answered all questions we had and gave us her full attention until we were fully informed of the area and our purpose for the stay.
Review 6:The staff treated me like family! They hugged me when I came back from the football game. They catered to my every need and put things in my room for me. Food and drink was amazing
Review 7:This place is absolutely amazing!!! Friendly and helpful staff, Danielle the receptionist and Teresa the owner are fabulous and easy to work with. Traveling alone, I certainly felt like this place was a home away from home!
Review 8:The running water you could hear from the kitchen area next to our room. We were in 105. It sounded like someone pouring a bucket of water inside the wall.
Review 9:The wine bar was a lot of fun.
Review 10:Not much but if pressed, I would have to say, the pillows were too soft.
Review 11:Most everything. Breakfast was amazing and owner/hostess/cook dazzled with friendliness and culinary expertise. Staff was equally wonderful and helpful.
Review 12:The suite was huge but somewhat impersonal. Giant kitchenette, but just coffemaking and microwave available - lots of empty cupboards! A bit pricey for what you get, I think the standard rooms they offer would be fine for 1 night.
Review 13:The location is good, near all the shops and restaurants of Glendale (especially Haus Murphy's). The down side is, most shops close around 4 or 5 PM so you would need to get there early. The suite was huge, free parking appreciated. Breakfast was great!
Review 14:There was nothing at all that I did not like.
Review 15:The staff I was wonderful at lunch there was also just described. We ate breakfast and an appointment to get to they made it to go. They were wonderful in everyway. Went out of their way to make our stay a nice and memorable one. Exceptional people.
Review 16:Alley parking location and scarcity. Bed wasn't all that comfortable.
Review 17:Hard working, pleasant Inn Keeper. Decor and furnishings. Made to order breakfast. Good wifi. Priced right.
Review 18:After thinking some minutes, still can't find anything.
Review 19:Beautiful old fashioned building, just in the heart of Glendale (20 minutes from downtown Phoenix). Outstanding breakfast (made individually for you) is a highlight in the hotel business.
Review 20:There are two bars basically in the same place, it would be better if one could support the whole facility. Parking could be better during festivals, probably not a problem other times.
Review 21:Location, Location,Location! The breakfast was excellent and pretty fancy. The room was very clean and looked just remodeled. The whole property was kept clean.
Review 22:It was a very nice place to visit and stay at. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. The owner was extremely attentive to our needs. The morning breakfast offered several good choices. It was well prepared and nicely served. The area where the hotel is located is very good for Antiques collectors.
Review 23:The staff here go out of their way to make guests comfortable and welcome, very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is fantastic, comfortable beds, great breakfast and a wonderful patio to relax on, this will definitely be our first choice for a hotel when we return to phoenix
Review 24:I wish that they would allow pets. Other than that, I really really enjoyed my stay and will come back if I am ever traveling that way again.
Review 25:I was in Glendale for one night for business at ASU West, 6 miles from GasLight Inn. This hotel is decorated beautifully, the queen room had an amazing cozy bed, and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, too. Location is interesting, shops and restaurants unique to the area all around. Free parking, too.
Review 26:The atmosphere and location was wonderful. The staff was so extremely friendly. The breakfast was the absolute best! We loved the decor and authenticity of the building. The wine and beer tasting bar was very enjoyable. Our stay was one of the most pleasant experiences we have ever had. Thank you.
Review 27:Comfortable rooms right down the road from the stadium. Great staff and delicious breakfast included. Way better than a chain with continental breakfast and a boring room. Highly recommended!
Review 28:The restaurant was just opening so the menu wasn't a full one. Just Panini's and Salads.
Review 29:Service was fantastic and the complimentary breakfast was delicious.
Review 30:The room was quiet, spacious, and delightfully furnished, including some antique pieces that had been refinished to perfection. The proprietor was very friendly. The breakfast was amazing with choices of omelets, pumpkin waffles, and a delicious skillet bowl with scrambled eggs, ham, and potatoes covered with Hollandaise sauce.
Review 31:Breakfast was delicious! Everyone was friendly
Review 32:Nice and friendly atmosphere. The room was nice and comfortable. It was close to the stadium and shopping.

Review 48:everything about the Inn was wonderful.
Review 49:Uniqueness of the Inn. Wonderful service. Very surprised at the quality and comfort of the Inn. Our experience was the best on a 6 day trip in Arizona. Our regret was our short stay...will return soon.
Review 50:Old world, almost Victorian charm right in old town Glendale. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. The service was outstanding.
Review 51:A delightful step back in time; a wonderfully decorated room, 100% trueto the picture; amazingly comfortable bedding and posh bathroom.Everything spotless clean, needless to say. We arrived very late andfollowed the instructions: the adjoining inn attendant greeted us with awarm and truly welcoming smile; next morning the owner, a lovely lady, served us a delicious fresh breakfast in a beautiful, atmospheric room.We didn't feel like leaving...
Review 52:A lack of accessible parking -- perhaps some sort of shuttle from the public parking garage to the front door (or the patio in back) might lesson the problem
Review 53:The comfort of my grandmothers bedrooms with period furniture BUT updated AND. Very clean
Review 54:Quaint B&B in the centre of Glendale. Owner was very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend if in the area, as this is something different from the normal motels. We could find no faults at all.
Review 55:The common rooms were poorly cared for. Shabby couches, doled out air conditioning. The quaint furniture mentioned in previous reviews had been replaced by 5 large plastic tables. Both mornings, we were served breakfast directly on the plastic with no cloth or mat. The little historic town of Glendale was really not much and we had quite a drive to get to attractions we wanted to see in and around Phoenix. We paid way too much for what we received.
Review 56:Mixed feelings about this inn and also the area of "historic" Glendale. The room we had was very nice and we had a great breakfast. The people at the inn were all wonderfully warm and friendly. They went out of their way to make up for the other concerns we had.
Review 57:Slow elevator but it does Work
Review 58:Room wa spacious and clean, breakfast was really good. Staff very friendly and helpful we would love to return and stay again, we love the location across from park and shops and near by restaurants.
Review 59:Parking is all on street or in an open lot 1/2 block away.
Review 60:Owner is on site & involved, giving good tips on local attractions. Decor is well matched to the property, & rooms were super comfortable! Breakfast was an expansive treat. Would definately stay there again .
Review 61:In my downstairs room, I could hear the water being used above me. It sounded like waterfalls off and on.
Review 62:The inn was charming and staff was extremely accommodating.
Review 63:The only thing we didn't like ... was that we couldn't stay longer! Will return again and again :)
Review 64:We loved everything about this place! This is the most unique property we have ever stayed in. Beautiful rooms with the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. The attention to detail ay this incredible Bed & Breakfast is amazing! Speaking of the breakfast ... delicious! The owners and staff are wonderful and made sure our stay was perfect :)
Review 65:Shower head was not good.
Review 66:Staff was wonderful. Room was very clean and comfortable. Shower head could be better. I would return to this B&B again and again. Loved it!!!
Review 67:Nothing, It was a great get away.
Review 68:We both loved it. A Charming Inn, comfortable bed, very good breakfast, and all right in the heart of Glendale Glitters and loads of antique shops. If that wasn't enough there's a beer and wine bar and a great German restaurant right next door! We'll be going back.
Review 69:Quaint historical establishment, small-town setting, right next door to a famous German restaurant, friendly hosts, comfortable, charming rooms, decent breakfast. Would stay again.
Review 70:Could not stay longer to enjoy it! Lock on the door needs replacing as difficult to operate the key.
Review 71:Superb furniture lovely staff, felt very welcome and trusted. Nice quiet place but prone to gaiety in the evenings.
Review 72:Loved everything! Wish we could have stayed longer. We will stay again for sure.
Review 73:Very comfortable bed; great central location to walk to restaurants, shops, library, etc.Breakfast was also a treat.
