Reviews for La Casa de los Limoneros
Review 1:We stayed during the summer, just before New Year, and the air-conditioner may have been broken so the room got hot the afternoon we arrived. We got around this by cooling off the next couple of days swimming and taking siestas by the pool which was blissful!
Review 2:Mario, Sergio and the staff were excellent hosts. They made us feel like very special guests. We loved the landscape, the lemon grove, the swimming pool, the gardens, the beautifully decorated house. We loved the food prepared for us, with ingredients in the salad freshly picked from their garden. We loved the service and all information shared about the area and places to eat. It was a perfect stop between Montevideo to the very busy and overwhelming Buenos Aires.
Review 3:This is the most beautiful place. Total serenity and so well thought out. It's not in town at all, about 20 minutes from La Colonia and part of it on a very good dirt road. But worth it in every way. We had dinner there and it was very good. The whole experience was kind of like staying at a rich friend's country home.
Review 4:we were greeted with a tour of the grounds, a spectacular acreage of lush gardens, lily ponds tiki huts by the pool, fantastic place. Rode the bikes to the beach down the road, and had a delicious dinner with the other guests prepared by our hosts.
Review 5:Well, I was expecting to be in an hotel and we got a farm house with no privacy, dirty and very old rooms and equipments. the air conditioning very noise, no maintenance at all, only one option for dinner that had to be taken with the owners in the only one table available! This place is far from the city, restaurants and beaches.
Review 6:None actually
Review 7:The posada is in a lemon orchard surrounded with plants. And has a very attractive swimmingpool. The four course menu was exceptionally good.
Review 8:Nothing! I didn't stay long enough and I want to come back
Review 9:Gorgeous, peaceful location, very calm, frankly it's hard to put into words, this is a special place, the couple I chatted to over one of the great dinners we had there agreed. This is a wonderful option for a romantic get away or, as it was for me, a chance to just unwind away from the city.
Review 10:Hospitality, Relaxing, Calmness, Excellent food and Service
Review 11:Everything was perfect!!!
Review 12:Really the pool, food and garden was all we came for, but due to problems with the bank we had to travel to Colonia several times. La Casa is quite a bit away from the centre and taxi's are more expensive than we were sed to in Argentina. Taxi costs are therefore a substantial adition to the total costs. And so is lunch and dinner. There really isn't anything in the vicinity, zo either you let La Casa prepare something (which is pricey) or you take a taxi...
Review 13:What a magnificent house and garden, with a great pool for the necessary relaxation after two weeks Patagonia and Buenos Aires. The dinner that was prepared especially for us was delicious.
Review 14:Loved everything, from the wonderful staff and gracious owners, the surroundings were beautiful, loved being able to eat dinner on the veranda. Everything was perfect!
Review 15:nada
Review 16:Beautiful gardens, rustic charm of the house, location away from everthing, humming birds and an iguana.
